Review 1：Not really a bad experience, but the air conditioning did not work all that well. It was more than 30 C outside, and the AC brought the room temperature down to about 23 C

Review 3：Only negative was that no staff bothered to serve us a hot drink at breakfast, despite two staff walking past us. We were there early at 7am when they opened, but since they were open we would have expected some service there.

Review 5：We booked a room with seaview through booking.com without specifying that we wanted a room in the annex (the hotel has a small building next to it which has the renovated rooms, with nice terrace and (particularly on first floor) with excellent seaview where we stayed last year. When we arrived, we saw we had received a room in the main building which smelt a lot like sigarettes and which had an old terrace where we could literally see our neighbour's terrace and even access it (room 164) and we hardly had any seaview, in fact instead a rather ugly view with a small strip of the sea you could see. I went to the reception and explained that if I had known in advance that they would put us in such a room (and not in the annex), we would not have stayed in this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly, but explained the hotel was full so she could not give us another room. Instead we got a rather substantial discount on the room price but I was still disappointed ... .

Review 15：Great hotel -super location We had a really fun and relaxing couple of days and nights here- a far cry from the hustle and bustle of busy Rome. The rooms were large and modern - large bathroom with huge shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to borrow bikes so we were able to easily explore Fregene which is a small town approx 20 mis drive from Fiumicino airport -very "Italian" with great restaurants and ice cream parlour etc The hotel is opposite a huge sandy beach. Very substantial buffet breakfast. Free wi-fi! If you want a weekend break in a great location with a choice of traditional Italian restaurants -stay here.

The photo displayed in the site is misleading, as it shows the annex with terraces facing the sea, whereas we got a ground floor room in the main building.

The staff was great and gave us a few ideas of where to go to eat. Where we ended up the food was Magic and we ate there that afternoon & again that evening. Really nice place to go to unwind from Rome!!

Review 33：We were same Hotel 6 years ago. Location is good. Near the seaside and also 20 minutes to Leonardo Da Vinci Airport. But, only one problem, from Airport to the Hotel to find a Taxi is difficult. I don't know why....

Review 36：the electricity was often intermittent. During the night it was a problem because the heat woke up. The outer appearance appears worn out. It needs some work.(I see they are working on it)

Review 37：First and foremost is the LOCATION!!! How awesome it was to be right by the beach. I was presently surprised that the hotel restaurant was excellent. Often hotel restaurants are not up to par. The staff ...everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would like to commend Veronica. Everyone had patients with me as I spoke Italian with my American accent, The room was clean and cleaning service was above average with very friendly staff. Outlets in the room were perfect...no hassles with hair dryer, computer or curling iron. Our balcony was awesome.

We understood that normal breakfast is rare in Italy:)...

Review 80：The smell of the fireplace in the lobby permiated the entire hotel!!! It did not draw well so it smelled very smokey all night and it interrupted our sleep. An enclosed gas fireplace would give the nice ambiance without the bad smell.

Review 82：Difficult location to get to without a car. Because our passports had been stolen, I could not pick up the rental car and we had to take a taxi from FCO to Fregene. Fortunately, we found a good driver who charged us a fair rate!

Review 83：We had to stay three nights because my wife's wallet had been stolen in Rome on a Saturday and we had to wait for the Embassy to open on Monday morning. The staff at La Conchiglia went out of heir way to ensure that we were comfortable and supported during a very stressful period, arranging a car and driver to assist us in reporting the theft to the police, upgrading our room and other kindnesses. We ate a very good dinner here; the grilled steak was fabulous.

Review 93：the hotel is tucked away from all the crowds of the city just a stone throw from the beach with a great sea view.they had a real log fire and the staff, brilliant and helpful.

Review 94：The hotel is not on the beach, as the pictures may misleadingly suggest. The sea is not far but the access is by crossing the yards of other hotels. There is no sea view except maybe the second floor rooms and terrace (which was closed when we visited in November). There is a good 20 minutes drive to Fiumicino if you want to use it as a night stay close to the airport. The breakfast was quite modest.

Easy: the shuttle service to/from theairport was very good value (€10 versus €40 for a taxi) and Antonella atthe Reception Desk provided expert detailed advice on local banking,etc, helped print out plane tickets as well as managed a courier pick-upof something I needed urgently sent to Apulia. Comfortable: the buffetbreakfast delivered fair variety of baked items and included fresh fruitplus an assortment of meats, cheeses and cereals. Dinner at the hotel’srestaurant was better than expected given the number of competing offersthroughout Fregene. The seafood was obviously fresh and the deboninglesson provided by attentive serving staff (Monica) was muchappreciated. During high season (July-Sept) this would be a popularhotel for its location is ideal and its role in Fellini history isintriguing. I was impressed that service and product quality did notslip during my late October visit.

We also asked if coffee could be available somewhat early so that we could have a cup prior to leaving for the airport but were told no as coffee would only be available 15 minutes after our departure for the airport.

Review 117：It took sometimes before the WiFi worked in the room, nevertheless they bent backwards to make it work installing some extra modems to reinforce the signal. The fridge is very small making difficult to keep food inside. The small safe was positioned in the cupboard floor making difficult the access to it especially for older guests. TV should have more channels in English (i.e.: CNN wasn't tuned)

Review 118：The design of the renovated rooms is extremely modern, minimalistic but still very practical and beautiful (the shower is a dream). During the hot days the air-conditioning system makes a huge difference and allows you to sleep without problems. An ample terrace makes a pleasure to seat there at the sundown or to have a quick lunch or dinner. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is abundant with excellent Italian cappuccino. The WiFi was working nicely in the foyer area. Very nice TV.
