Reviews for Torine House B&B

Review 1:The hotel was located a bit off the main road so there wasn't much noise during the night. The room was very comfortable (group of three) and clean and the owners' hospitality was wonderful. We had a delicious home-made breakfast and the tips we got to see the ring of Kerry were very helpful. We recommend and would return :)

Review 2:The bedroom was a bit cold. I would have liked more bed clothes or maybe the heating on when we got back to our room.

Review 3:The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The location was easy to find. The owner dropped us down town which was very good of her. The breakfast was excellent.

Review 4:The door of the bathroom was a sliding kind, not so well inserted in the wall. So no privacy at all between room and bathroom

Review 5:Nice Place & Nice staff We've been there for The puck fair. It meant that killorglin was really crowded and everything was celebrating

Review 6:Katherine and Tony were very friendly hosts. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good and overall everything was very good value. Tony gave us some excellent advice for avoiding traffic jams in Macroom, Co. Cork - thank you!

Review 7:Breakfast was the worst we had on our entire twoo week trip. toilet was not cleaned, tv did not work...

Review 8:very friendly houskeepers, gave us a lot of helpful traveltips

Review 9:Room was cold.

Review 10:Room was big and clean but overall facilities lack personality. Further out from town than we thought. It was too cold to walk so we had to drive. Owners were great, friendly and offered good advice. Breakfast ok. The owner asks what you like the night before. When I said yes to cereal I didn't realise cereal meant cornflakes would already be set out in a bowl on the table. Honestly, who eats cornflakes these days. Cooked breakfast was good.

Review 11:No major complaints.

Review 12:The hosts, Katherine and Tony, were very accommodating. Tony helped us map out sight-seeing routes and made good suggestions. Katherine customized the breakfast to our tastes.

Review 22:we had a room in the corner of the house where the wifi hardly worked

Review 23:the way to the b&b was very well pointed out, thus we easily found it. we had a warm welcome by the landlady who gave us useful hints where to eat out. the center of killorglin is in walking distance and provides everything for the ring of kerry tour. however, after the rich and tasty breakfast who want need anymore. finally, we want to award tony, the landlord, with 10 out of 10 points for his extremely helpful advises!

Review 24:Very friendly, helpful and great chat from the owners. Accommodation was perfect for our needs and the breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this B&B to other travellers.

Review 57:Everything

Review 58:Very warm and friendly hosts. Clean and tidy!

Review 59:lovely people, amazing breakfast

Review 60:The internet does not seem to work although I was able to connect to wifi.

Review 61:Friendly local Irish hosts giving guests a warm welcome and trip advices.

Review 62:Internet didn't work except in common area but we found this pretty much all along the coast of Ireland. Don't believe they have more then one choice for internet services so don't hold that against the B&B its not just there. Bathroom was super small but we made it work for the night.

Review 63:Tony and Catherine made the place feel as if you were stopping and staying with family instead of a hotel or bed and breakfast. They were wonderful and sweet. Gave us ideas on trips the next day, better ways of saving time and driving short cuts, good places to go and wonderful breakfast made by Catherine. We also really enjoyed Jacks Deli in town. Great sandwich and amazing staff and so friendly.

Review 64:It seemed the Proprietor could care less, didn't want to be bothered, was too busy to attend to guests, and there was no WI Fi whatsoever; also the room was not made up ( dirty cups in the bathroom sink, no fresh towels, etc. ); smelled quite musty !

Review 65:Not much ... though geographic location good for seeing Dingle, Kerry, and Killarney.

Review 66:Breakfast could have been improved. For instance, proper coffee instead of instant coffee. Also, when asked if we wanted cereal for breakfast, I presumed there was a choice. However, a bowl of cornflakes was waiting for us on arrival. That was the only choice.

Review 67:Owner was very welcoming and helpful.

Review 68:Leaving. To continuing travelling.

Review 69:Staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms clean and bed soft with electric blankets and a heater on all night. Good breakfast

Review 77:Torine House welcomed us with warmth and became our peaceful nest for four nights. Tony's helpful tips and Catherine's terrific breakfasts highlighted our stay in county Kerry! Thank you both for caring for us!

Review 78:Small bathroom, with some dust in corners :) Towels had a strange odor. Paying in cash.

Review 79:The owner was very friendly, excellent location, good breakfast.

Review 80:Torine House is located on the crest of a hill overlooking Killorglin Town, the mountains, and the shores of the Atlantic. This unique location is short walk to the town center, and at the start of any number of routes through the rolling hills to the water's edge. The Bed and Breakfast atmosphere provided by the family Lyons is warm and hospitable. The service and accomodations are first rate, and the breakfast will keep you going until supper! For relaxation, comfort, and value for money, I would highly recommend Torine House.

Review 81:Town is dead, not for the young at heart, get on down the road for sightseeing

Review 82:Location is good but this is a tiny quiet village. Everything is good but costly for just a bedroom.I'm working here so I will be moving to Killarney to cut down expenses and find people.

Review 83:- Location: the hotel is situated about 20 min from Killarney, difficult to find, best suitable for staying while travelling across the Ring of Kerry

Review 84:- Staff: the elderly coule, keeping the hotel, were super friendly and made their best to make our stay comfortable- beds with heating - heavy irish breakfast
