Reviews for Hotel Stefania Boutique Hotel by the Beach

Review 1:There seem to be a lot of noisy children in the hotel. Even in the late evening there was children on the hall. The waiter in the restaurant was obviously drunk. He did not really have a clue about the wine he tried to sell. For one little plate of pasta I had to wait 45 minutes. The restaurant seems to be made for the guests fron Germany, who consume the standard menue without complaining about anything. The prices for á la carte are shameless.

Review 2:Nice lobby. They tried to keep it in a art deco style.

Review 3:The small in the room in the ground floor was not very pleasant, though the bed was good and wardrobe had enough space.

Review 4:We like the garden with sunbeds, the closeness to the beach, the breakfast was ok, and dinner in the Nino,s restaurant was excellent.

Review 5:Stale bedlinen; poor quality shower; uncomfortable cheap bed; wifi only in the lobby be warned. The high reviews for this totally conned us so we came back early

Review 6:The service was friendly

Review 7:All staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were a decent size and serviced every day. Despite staying out of season we felt the service was spot on.

Review 8:It would have been nice if each room had WiFi and/or some international TV, but at least there was free WiFi in reception and plenty of sofas.

Review 9:The Staff we very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and had good facilities.

Review 10:Check your food bill if you order at restaurant as they add a service charge on top which the waiter did not mention to us. Ours was an extra 6 euros. We didn't realise this until we checked out and asked to look at our food bill as thought it was expensive. Wouldn't expect this at a hotel and never heard of any hotel doing this. Hotel charges an extra 4 euros for water when we did not request this. Bar closes early. Not a nice beach. Photos are nothing like the actual beach itself. Photos look like it's clear blue water when in fact it was dirty, brown and full of seaweed. Lots of dust in our room. Don't think this hotel is worth what we paid for a night. Our pasta was served cold. If you stay here sure you bring your own toiletries as hardly any supplied at hotel. This hotel isn't really aimed at tourists. I travel quite a lot and have stayed in a lot nicer and cleaner hostels. Bad location. Nothing to do in the area, nothing remotely close, not even a shop.

Review 11:Friendly receptionist, quick check in and nice mojitos

Review 12:A fantastic resort tucked away and quiet making you feel like a real local. The pool area and beach is excellent and the facilities are first rate. The staff were really helpful and the rooms very comfortable.

Review 13:We have ordered half board, during the breakfast you have very limited selection of meal. During the dinner they propose you menu with few dishes to choose, all beverages should be paid additionally ( for example water - 4 euro). All proposed meal are not approporiate for 4 star hotel and in case you do not like spaghetti with basilic and mix of salads - you will be hungry. At the lobby bar all beverages are also expensive, all appetitives cost 8 euro ( we have paid in Venice restorants 4-6 euro for aperol spritz). For my opinion the territory of hotel is small. We have stayed there for two days after long staying in other 4 star hotel in Sardinia and were unpleasantly surprised.

Review 14:It is close to the airport and center of the city. Good view from the beach. Supportive people at the reception.

Review 15:The water in the Jacuzzi wasn't very clean. The evening meal was basic and at times quite bizarre. A green bean or cauliflower salad (cold) with whatever main course you selected. The seafood risotto had a tiny amount of fish & the rice was so hard it was inedible. Think twice before going half board, there are three restaurants a short walk along the beach.

Review 16:Ample sun loungers & parasols. The view across the bay from the breakfast table. Helpfulness of the staff, especially reception. Location to the beach.

Review 17:Dinners (the quality and selection of food was poor compared to other restaurants we ate at throughout our trip. It seems as if hotel guests only get a very limited option compared to non guests who are eating at the restaurant. Also wine/water is not included when we thought it should be), the smell of sewage in the air in the whole area, very busy beach area (when it said private beach we thought it meant private to the hotel, but it means a small section of loungers are private on a very busy beach), outdated furniture in the restaurants/dining areas.

Review 18:very large room and balcony, friendly reception staff, good breakfast, close to beach, hot tub.

Review 19:We didnt like that wifi was only in the hall and breakfast was not very good.

Review 20:Hotel staff was very helpful and nice. We spent our honeymoon in Hotel Stefania and when we arrived we got a free bottle of champagne and a beautiful heart made of flower petals. It was very cute! My husband was also injured by a sea urchin at night and hotel manager helped us a lot to find a night pharmacy.

Review 21:They had wifi only in foe which was a bit not comfortable.

Review 22:Tha hotel was cutest thing I have ever seen' close to the beach and just 15 minutes to city centre by bus. Clean hotel with good breakfast! In general hotel was a bit expensive though but worth it!

Review 23:The set meal dinners were once or twice a bit disappointing. The wifi was sometimes a bit slow.

Review 24:The hotel grounds were nice with a large pleasant grassed area round the pool. The hotel was only a short walk from the beach (where the water was clear) where there was a reserved area for guests and a couple of reasonable restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole ambience was very relaxing. On the day we arrived one of the party had a problem with the air conditioning unit in her room but this was fixed promptly the next morning with the unit being replaced.

Review 25:No working a/c throughout the entire hotel, and no fans! The a/cunits they had were old and barely put out any cool air throughout thewhole place. The hotel and the rooms were all very hot and there was nocirculating air. We were so uncomfortable the entire 3 nights we werethere. There was no escape from the heat. The bathroom was like a heattrap and a sauna (and not because of the shower). We asked they at leastfind us a fan. They even had their receptionist's sitting fullyclothed and sweating without a/c or even a fan. I felt terrible forthem. For the high prices they charge, they really need to invest inbetter a/C. Lastly, they should advertise that although they have apool, it closes at 7pm (yes, even in the summer) so that they can sittables around the pool for dinner. And, they advertise that they have ajacuzzi, but it does not work either. Dinner on site is very pricey.

Review 26:The facilities were cute and clean, and the grounds were pretty, and itwas an easy walk to the beach. The food at the restaurant was fairlygood, but pricey. The breakfast was really nice.

Review 27:Limited Gluten Free breakfast on offer. Quite remote - you really need a car although we did go in May so quiet time of the year anyway.

Review 28:Hotel itself is lovely. Great location by the beach.

Review 29:maybe include in future in menu fast snack not only dinner.

Review 30:confortable,staff very friendly ,special michelangelo garcon, reception guy really sorry forget name but he use glass e easy smille...stefany help my wife she had litte back problem and she so .help us .

Review 31:Wifi only available in certain parts of the hotel, but 3G not a problem - its meant to be a holiday though - who needs constant internet!!

Review 32:Food is very good, staff are helpful and friendly. Very quiet location, close to the beach

Review 33:The tea and coffee at breakfast weren't great, but we found out at checkout that you could order "proper" coffee at breakfast (first cup free), which we would definitely do next time.

Review 34:This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful sea view. The breakfast was good. The pool and garden area was excellent.

Review 35:Staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable! Hotel is in the perfect location, with great facilities and close to the beach. Would highly recommend!

Review 36:We had difficulty finding the hotel, our booking.com confirmation slip (print version) indicated only Via Bora 8, Strada Panoramica Olbia-Golfo Aranci, and not Pittulongu so we actually drove around 40 kms at night, with nowhere to ask before finding it! One of the pictures on the booking.com website gives the impression that the hotel is on the beach, whereas it is at walking distance so does not need trick photography to enhance it. While the music played in the restaurant and lounge is nice, it is is always the same and could be more varied :-)

Review 37:We appreciated the helpful staff, cleanliness, cosy lounge, lovely garden and the proximity of the beach. We also enjoyed the delicious food at Nino's. We can warmly recommend Hotel Stefania.

Review 38:The WiFi is weak and regularly drops out due to overloads. In most rooms the WiFi cannot be accessed at all. Breakfast was dreadful. Although they supplied scrambled eggs they were always cold as the warming tray was never turned on. Bread rolls at breakfast were stale and the croissants were not quite edible.

Review 39:The staff at the hotel were great. The restaurant staff were fantastic. The hotel is a short 50 meter walk to the beach and the area is very nice. Olbia is close enough for a short drive for shopping, cafes etc. The rooms were very clean and quite large. The rooms are very quiet and the shutters make for a good sleep. Dinners were fantastic.

Review 40:some smell in the room an a bit too much noise in the morning

Review 41:Atmosphère, Staff, Close to beach, Great bed, nice happy hour drinks , great view, cool simple garden

Review 42:Hotel restaurant is closed since october till june (we were lucky to be there for the last working day in 2014 and it was great)

Review 43:Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts. Located close to long sandy beach.

Review 44:I strongly recommend the hotel Stefania. It is a very good place to relax - calm, quiet, friendly, clean, close to the beach, with a good cuisine in Nino's restaurant.

Review 45:Not a 4 star hotel - but my usual experience in Italy

Review 46:The personal welcome, and feeling of family-run hotel. My luggage got lost on a very short holiday break, and the daughter of the owner "Stefania" I believe, volunteered her personal toiletries to sort me out…. Waiters very attentive in wonderful old-fashioned service. All I needed for a self-pampering break. Beautiful beach and fantastic weather on top

Review 47:Restaurant: you never stay hungry, but menu ale-cart was boring. Very quiet, without any performance hotel, Weak wi-fi signal.

Review 48:very nice and long beach with clear water, close to hotel, about 150m. Best hotel room Nr.27 with a garden-see view. 10-15min by bus to Olbia center (ticket 1,5eur for 90min). Kind and helpful hotel personal. Recommend for people over 50, families without childs. Please, Rent a Car in airport and go arrond to look Beautiful Sardinia landscapes!

Review 49:Menu choice and the quality of the food. Poor condition of the bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast choice, well there was none. Expensive drinks in the hotel.

Review 50:Proximity to the beach. Helpful staff. Ease of transport into Olbia.

Review 51:WiFi just in lobby and working bad! In room no place for drying of towlets.

Review 52:Very nice and autentic hotel. Not so big that's why no so noizy. Two swimming pools: for adult and for children. 2-3 min wolk to the beach. The beach has cleaned everyday and with nice wiev. stuff is very friendly and attentive. The hotel was included in Mishelin guide many years. Same for the restoran, very testy.

Review 53:The bed wasn't so comfortable - I didn't have a good night sleep. The breakfast was very simple - don't expect variety. The set up menu for dinner didn't have that much choice either. We were expecting more from the food but it was fair enough for the half board price we paid.

Review 54:The staff was very very helpful... They are all very polite and nice. The hotel/ bedroom was very very clean with fresh new towels every day. We spent a few relaxing days there... The beach was lovely with nice sun beds waiting for you.

Review 55:First of all, the food! Nino's Restaurante (on premises) is simplythe freshest, best homemade seafood restaurant anywhere on the Island! The quality and service of the staff is really something to experience, and the local selection of Sardinian delicacies makes you feel you are aguest in the chef's home. *****!The grounds are beautiful, with some eclectic touches and design accents from around the globe. The rooms are clean and cozy with all the amenities you expect at a beach hotel. The beach (very calm and emerald blue!) is footsteps from the main hotel building. Perfect to lay out in the sun, swim or for small children. Have a drink from the stand there while you are at it! But the real kicker here is the staff. It is a family owned and run operation, and you feel you are part of their family for the length of your stay. The manager...Stefania...is a young, hip and well traveled 30something (speaks perfect English) and always had some good tips on things to do in the area. Make sure you check out the old city in Olbia and visit the port for some cool aperitifs.

Review 56:I would have liked to spend more days but they haven't been able to make it possible because they were fully booked. However miss Stefania has kindly helped me to find another hotel and arrange the transfer for me.

Review 57:Once again Hotel Stefania has meet all and over my expectations on customer service. For the second time this fantastic location has delivered a peaceful and friendly environment that you deserve while you are on holiday after one long year of hard work. I will strongly recommend the restaurant even if you leave around and you want to spend one evening out.

Review 58:I am happy to recommend this hotel. It is spotless, nice rooms and a very nice personell. The owner helped us in a very generous way when we had some booking hazards. Allt the best!

Review 59:I'm happy to be able to recommend Stefanias. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are nice and the staff the best. Due to some Internet hazard we ended up dubbelbooked bur the owner helped us in a very generous way. Thank you for that!

Review 60:Nothing. I want to thank Stafinia very much for all her efforts to make us happy every day during our stay at this excellent hotel.

Review 61:This is very nice hotel, professional staff and an excellent restaurant. Everybody is happy to make your stay comfortable and save you the trouble. There is always a space on the beach and no problems with sunbeds. You can relax in the garden of the hotel or close to the swimming pool. The rooms are clean and they change towels every day and the bed lines every third day. I was never bothered with annoying noise, and the rooms are sound proof. At the reception they organized for us two excellent excursions: foot in the mountings and dolmen and nuraga visits.

Review 62:Very bad service, old furniture, not WIFI in the rooms, no sound insulation in the rooms, very noisy air conditioner in the room. In any case 4 star hotel, not more than 2-3 stars. Service in the restaurant very low.

Review 63:Clean and normal breakfest, near to Olbia.

Review 64:Staff was extremely helpful and very friendly; interesting art collection displayed in public areas; terrific breakfast buffet.

Review 65:Rooms don't have sound proofing, it can be a bit noisy.

Review 66:wonderful caring staff especially at the breakfast table and the restaurant manager.

Review 67:One day we had rain.

Review 68:The staff was exceptionally friendly at all times, no matter what what we asked or requested, great sea food at Nino's!

Review 69:Ivan-the best of the best

Review 70:Right by beach

Review 71:Service in restaurant lacked organisation, great food let down by disorganised front of house.

Review 72:Good staff, excellent location and well presented room.

Review 73:Loved everything about Hotel Stefania!

Review 74:Only minor thing is that wifi is only available in reception area.

Review 75:Close to the beach. Fantastic restaurant attached to the hotel

Review 76:restaurant was very bad, service , food ,the room very hot and small need the major improvement in any way

Review 77:staff in the reception very helpful.

Review 78:Lack of wifi in the room.

Review 79:Convenient position. Good breakfast. Kind staff.

Review 80:No internet in the rooms

Review 81:some bathrooms were not very ventilated.

Review 82:proximity to the beach which is very nice. The staff was very nice willing

Review 83:Breakfast choice was limited.

Review 84:Most helpful staff we came across on our travels. Great location. Free sunbeds and umbrella on a magical beach.

Review 85:nada.".

Review 86:Views,comfort, cleanliness and nearness to beautiful emerald water beach.

Review 87:The bedside tables!

Review 88:Location Friendly staff Nice Food Well kept gardens

Review 89:Internet

Review 90:no wireless in the rooms

Review 91:The staff was very helpfull and very kindly, super staff!

Review 92:jacuzzi out of order

Review 93:staff were very helpful and cooperative.breakfast excellent.walking distance to the beach, but swimming pool was also excellent.

Review 94:It was disappointing, after booking 3months in advance, to find that we were in the annex 100 yds across a garden and a road.although the rooms were very nice the booking form should clearly state the facts and the price adjusted accordingly.

Review 95:Very good in all departments

Review 96:Hotel is quite remote, buses to and from Olbia are not very regular and parking in Olbia is not easy so we were tied to the hotel in the evening.

Review 97:Nice beach area for hotel use with an attendant who supplies loungers and parasoles to hotel quests, also nice garden area next to a small outdoor pool.

Review 98:Slightly isolated, nearest town is Olbia. Best to have a car. Hotel will provide a transfer at 20 euros each way. Local bus service available, hourly in May (1.50 euros. NB. Buy a weekly ticket 10 euros at the tourist information office).

Review 99:Close to good beach. Several nearby good beachside restaurants.

Review 100:I strongly recommend this hotel. Everything was perfect. (half board, location, breakfast, swimming pool) It was one of the best in terms of quality/ price I never had since a couple of years and I'm travelling a lot.

Review 101:No wifi in the rooms was a little restricting.

Review 102:For a low-key relaxing break we could not recommend this hotel more. The staff are welcoming and hospitable. It is a clean family-run hotel that is relatively small and therefore intimate rather than soulless. It is well situated just back from Pittulongu beach, which has three beach bar/restaurants. From Pittulongu you can discover other small beaches and coves.

Review 103:wifi in lobby only but a beautiful lobby it is :)

Review 104:very fresh and friendly place, rooms look out over pretty gardens and short stroll to beach, shuttered windows and small pool. lovely walks around the area and gorgeous, very helpful and warm staff.

Review 105:Some drinks by the glass rather expensive. 5€ glass red wine or a glass mirto seems overpriced. Internet access in the rooms would be welcome

Review 106:Quiet (in May) beach on walking distance. Friendly staff. Good restaurant. Nice poolarea. Nice setting of the hotel.

Review 107:Bad light in hotel room for reading. WiFi only in the lobby.

Review 108:Good Breakfast. Very good diner in hotel restaurant. Pleasant stuff in hotel. Beach very near and beautiful.

Review 109:A little better breakfast as it is a 4 stars, but it was not bad.

Review 110:We were in a great room overlooking the beach and the bay with terrace, really nice, but only few of them. The price we get 66,6€ (out of season) implied a really good price/quality relation. We also like the outside jacuzzi and the personal who was really attentive.

Review 111:The location was in a rundown area it is in Pittulongu not in Porto Aranci, we wasted an hour looking for the hotel after getting the address by phone from booking.com. The room was clean but shabby, more 1 star than 4 star. Would not recommend

Review 112:the friendly staff comfortable lounge Ok general areas

Review 113:Wifi in the hall only.

Review 114:We enjoyed the setting of this hotel which is close to a wonderful beach. The hotel provides sunbeds and a lifeguard. The breakfasts were very good and we enjoyed a great view of the bay from the tables. The staff are very helpful at all times. We were very pleased with the room and the facilities of the hotel. This was an ideal hotel from whoich to tour the region. We enjoyed the excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Review 115:nothing, however breakfast limited

Review 116:particularly a la carte menu for evening meal, excellent variety of local dishes perfect beach setting very quiet and relaxing

Review 117:Breakfast choice fairly basic Breakfast service mediocre - it was difficult to attract the attention of the waitress for coffee etc. (as we didn't want the standard coffee choice).

Review 118:Gardens Proximity to beach Views from bedroom Parking facilities Restaurant Room

Review 119:Breakfast room needs updating. Staff excellent and should be encouragedto plug a la carte menu for breakfast. Restaurant needs to be moreexciting plugging excellent local produce. Activities need to includewalking and Italian cooking.

Review 120:Beach side facilities excellent. Reception excellent. Swimming pool niceand warm. Authentic Italian atmosphere Coffee and tea facilities inannexe albeit for payment.

Review 121:Sitting area indoors was unsatisfactory, with a huge plasma TV and ill lighting. Nowhere to read quietly on rainy days.

Review 122:Friendliness of staff Clean sheets and towels every other day Private beach with loungers and attendant Good pool with loungers Situated away from the road Good hotel parking Fantastic buffet breakfast Nice beachside cafes Lovely coastal walks Weather forecast and general local information put up on board every day by hotel staff Free use of computer in hotel lobby

Review 123:Breakfast could be upgraded

Review 124:family driven, very nice people, personal touch

Review 125:The beds!

Review 126:The beach was lovely and the food at Nino's was delicious with wonderful service. Funky and fun.

Review 127:no lunch facility or availability to make a drink in your room

Review 128:easy access to airport

Review 129:Breakfast could be upgraded

Review 130:The type of hotel, familydriven, nice people.

Review 131:nice garden with pool and jacuzzi. good breakfast. near beach.

Review 132:The location of the hotel and the private beach.

Review 133:Some rooms are very small. Some personnel are not very professional.

Review 134:Good restaurant and the owner is very kind. Private beach and related facilities.
