Reviews for The Bianconi Inn

Review 1:Rate without breakfast was quite high for its location

Review 2:Beautiful rooms - fab decor. Amazingly comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of space. Strong shower.

Review 3:That we could not stay longer!

Review 4:Staff were super friendly, service for food was prompt and they continued to check if we needed anything. Check in staff also excellent service. Super comfy beds in fresh clean room. Stay here you will enjoy!

Review 5:Nothing.

Review 6:The Bianconi was fabulous. It seemed more like an upper class hotel than a b&b. The room was beautiful as was all other decor. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely be going back as soon as we can! We didn't eat in the Bianconi hence why I'm not rating the food.

Review 7:Second floor, quite a trek and no assistance offered. No kettle. Back room with dirty, depressing outlook, could st least be tidied up. Very ordinary breakfast for 12.50

Review 8:Lovely helpful staff,management a bit off-hand.

Review 9:Used Bistro downstairs for dinner, food outstanding and good value. Great village, found proper Irish pub nearby. Great location for Ring of Kerry exploration. We were there shortly before the "Puck Fair" which the locals were looking forward to greatly.Sorry to have missed it. Would go back to Killorglin.

Review 10:Our room overlooked the very noisy street so we had to keep the windows closed. The hairdryer is the type that you have to hold down a button which is a bit annoying. There is no fridge and you have to ask for tea and coffee making facilities but they readily provided these with fresh milk which was good. The Reception is only a bench as you walk in so you have to find someone at the bar. The restaurant had no vegetarian options (though we had enquired about this) only a salad so we didn't go there. The breakfast was quite expensive so we bought (really good) pastries at the bakery opposite.

Review 11:The rooms are beautifully furnished and the bathrooms are lovely. For a guest house, the quality of the rooms is equal to expensive hotels though the facilities are not to the same standard. The inn is in a good position to start a drive around the Ring of Kerry but there really isn't anything to do in the town, though there are several good restaurants.

Review 12:First experience with the "Irish Breakfast" and found it unexciting. Later found other hotels that offered better Irish breakfasts.

Review 13:Loved the location in Killorglin! A great place to start our tour of the Ring of Kerry. The town itself is cute and quite with some surprisingly good restaurants nearby. Rooms are clean, updated and comfortable. Wifi is reliable.

Review 14:Not very welcoming when checking in. As a resident, never asked if i wanted to reserve a table for dinner. Had to sit at bar for meal.

Review 15:Room was excellent

Review 16:No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Staff not very warm or friendly, unlike every other place we stayed in Ireland. Cleaning staff very keen to get into room when we were barely up.

Review 17:Lovely spacious room with superbly comfortable bed. All looked newly decorated. Plenty of places to eat in town.

Review 18:The internet access was pretty hopeless, too slow to use. The breakfasts were poor (we stayed two nights) and not to be recommended. Quite a noisy location with a busy road outside.

Review 19:We were given a large room - in fact it was two with a bathroom in between so plenty of space. Clearly, recently renovated so quite pristine. The restaurant downstairs was lively and the food and service was good, very enjoyable.

Review 20:For the last 2 days of our 3 day stay, the temperature of the water from the shower became cold after the initial hot start and breakfast service was slow but the lady seemed to do her best as she was on her own.

Review 21:Very friendly staff and good fun in the bar where we ate an excellent dinner.

Review 22:Beautiful place, fantastic attention to detail in the decor, friendly staff and great food. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh smoked salmon and freshly cooked and tasty full Irish. Free car park across the road. Really impressed.

Review 23:Only a small thing but no tea/coffee making facilities in room

Review 24:Friendly efficient staff, lovely comfortable rooms, nice food, good selection for breakfast

Review 25:Breakfast was not included in the price

Review 26:Staff were very friendly and helpful, knowlgeable of the area gave us directions and booklets regarding the area and places to visit. Would stay here again without a second thought, just outside the hustle and bustle of Killarney but within driving distance of everything the Kingdom has to offer. Lovely little town, lovely hotel, with a beautiful bakery right accross the road, bakery is a must visit.

Review 27:There was no tea making facilities in the room. The breakfast is priced like it will be a buffet but its not a buffet, its a menu and the full irish was not very filling

Review 28:Very fresh, modern and luxurious room, very comfortable, amazing shower and bath.

Review 29:The bed was probably the comfiest bed I've ever slept in!!!! The pillows and duvet were like sleeping on a cloud. No joke. The rooms were very clean, modern and tidy. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we didn't eat there, we did hear great things about the food there. It's quite central in Killorglin town, the town is small enough but there was a great buzz and atomsphere there.

Review 30:Excellent location for Ring of Kerry, lovely town, friendly and helpful staff, absolutely delicious food, breakfast menu with many choices.Quiet and clean room, spacious and comfy bed. Perfect value for money. Highly recommended.

Review 31:Some issues with toilets and plumbing which couldn't be resolved till the day we were leaving as we only stayed a couple of days. Only thing missing was a kettle in the room.

Review 32:Lovely rooms nicely done out and comfortable

Review 33:Killorglin town was not as interesting a place to stay as Kenmare or Dingle. Would probably choose a different town if I went again.

Review 34:The hotel was fine and their breakfast great.

Review 35:Shower, reception. Couldn't have a shower. No hot water. My friend in another room complained of the same thing. I should've asked for a refund actually..a hotel where you can't even have a shower after waiting minutes in the rain for somebody to show up in the reception.

Review 36:Location, bed

Review 37:Breaky finishes at 930

Review 38:All the staff were so friendly and talkative, the meal was extremely tasty and cooked to perfection and the room was beautiful, we were upgraded as it was our honeymoon! Overall our stay was so pleasent and would definitely recommend.

Review 39:We had no concerns - it was a totally satisfying visit.

Review 40:The atmosphere at The Bianconi is relaxed, cosy, and hugely welcoming. The food is excellent! The dining room where breakfast is served is a beautiful room, and the bar area has a wonderful atmosphere, (with the walls filled with very fine art work with a local relevance). The bedrooms are of the highest standard of decoration and finish - with very comfortable beds and great bathrooms. Our stay at The Bianconi for New Year was the highly of our visit to Ireland.

Review 41:Room not too warm - electric heater had feeble output and seemed impossible to regulate

Review 42:High quality 'real' food served in the bar - most definitely not pub grub! High quality of rooms

Review 43:Expensive and breakfast not included. No kettle in room . food portions quite small, one baked potato between 2 and one portion of veg.

Review 44:Great location. Nice staff lovely room.

Review 45:We had slight problem with hot water but the staff made effort to rectify it.

Review 46:Elegant contemporary design for the rooms but a warm eclectic atmosphere in the restaurant. Very helpful staff. One if the owners came in early to make us a take out lunch for our excursion to Skellig Islands.

Review 47:While traveling, I need to stay in contact with family and work on aregular basis. Email and other internet connections are most importantUnfortunately, the wi-fi signals throughout the hotel were so weak thatit was impossible to get a connection or hold a connection when I didconnect. I was told that the best connection was in the bar but Idon't think that the proprietors would appreciate me setting upoffice there for 2-3 hours at night.

Review 48:I first stayed at the Bianconi Inn in 1978 and repeatedly since. Thelocation is perfect for visiting my family in Killotglin and seeing thesites of west Kerry and Dingle. The beds are luxurious and the staff arefriendly. The rooms I've had have always had more than enough spacefor my needs and they are beautifully appointed.

Review 49:would be nice to have a shelf or somewhere to put toiletries but thats just a minor point as the bathroom was gorgeous.

Review 50:The twin rooms had nice big beds not standard singles. Lots of clever touches likes the little lights on the bathroom floor, very practical. Had dinner in the restaurant with a group and it was very good everyone enjoyed the food.

Review 51:Wifi down when we were there. Not enough hot water. No elevator so hard on old knees.

Review 52:Location near but not in Killarny right in the village center. Comfortable and lux bedding. Nice bathroom. Friendly staff.

Review 53:Nothing

Review 54:We both loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the hotel ambience was very inviting, the room which was superb, the food was outstanding and we were made to feel very welcome. My Birthday meal was very special, we are looking forward to our next holiday staying there again, totally recommended, thank you Rick and Ray

Review 55:Very busy when we arrived, nobody on reception so we had to interrupt bar staff to check us in, felt like they were too busy to be bothered with us. Bar was too busy and noisy to eat in that evening so probably should advise guests if they wish to eat there to book in advance. If you aren't lucky enough to get the on street parking there is a rough public car park a few hundred metres away which is awkward if you had a lot of luggage, older guests or young children.

Review 56:Rooms were beautiful , lovely relaxing decor. Upstairs seemed like it had been sound proofed when you stepped upstairs from the noisy bar you couldn't hear anything. Location is excellent as it's in the centre of the town, and with Killarney only 20 minutes away it's a good base for accessing other tourist attractions.

Review 57:Couldn't close the windows; lots of cobwebs and bugs because wecouldn't close the windows; lots of street noise in the cornersuite; terrible WiFi

Review 58:Proximity to Killarney and Dingle; Big, soft bed; Amazing bathtub;Strong shower; excellent breakfast

Review 59:No wi- fi,although advertised. No contact with reception either in or out of hours via phone in room.

Review 60:Well appointed room. Good starting spot for Dingle or Ring of Kerry. Staff were kind and considerate.

Review 61:The steep stair to second floor but the owner was so kind to change my room as soon as I asked him...

Review 62:Everything from the room recently renewed to breakfast served professionally as well as dinner. Excellent

Review 63:No Sunday lunch or Hot meal available on Sundays, suggest that is put in the hotel information as we would have booked another day instead

Review 64:Staff were very friendly, bedrooms spotless.

Review 65:Breakfast was "weak" if you don't eat fried food - no nice cereal or fruit buffet - no nice breads/scones -

Review 66:Staff very friendly. Room beautifully furnished, spacious, very comfortable bed - very clean. very central location in middle of town - a little noisy at night but very close to restaurants and pubs.

Review 67:Road was a bit noisey first thing in the morning

Review 68:At the bottom of town, all pubs restaurants easy to get to. Lovely recently upfgraded bedrooms, very comfy bed.

Review 69:The room was amazing right down to the LED lights in the tile floor around the pedestal wash basin. The food was great. Ray looked after us as a family member. All our wishes ere fulfilled.

Review 70:Staff were very friendly but not in your face, room was amazing, cosy, clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. altogether the perfect hotel experience.

Review 71:Quality and attention to detail throughout, not what I expected from a hotel/pub combination. Breakfast was excellent. Following morning had a great tip for my onward travels!

Review 72:Breakfast menu was very li Iimited with no low fat / skimmed milk. Overall though the quality was excellent as was the service.

Review 73:Staff were all very friendly. We were booked for two nights but due to unforeseen circumstances at the lady minute had to cut the trip short. Ray couldn't have been nicer and only charged us for one night. The standard of accommodation was very high and the decor was georgous. Well worth a stay if you're in the area.

Review 74:Wifi was very poor on second floor, parking is on the street or further down the road in a car park, it's quiet a walk with a baby, we had to supply a travel cot ourselves as we were told there was none on arrival

Review 75:Beautiful modern rooms, very clean, staff very friendly,

Review 76:The noise from the road was quite loud and made it difficult to sleep when the trucks started to drive past quite early in the morning.

Review 77:It was in a brilliant place for exploring the Ring of Kerry from and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. The freestanding bathtub was amazing!

Review 78:Very friendly staff very warm and comfortable

Review 79:The mushroom soup is amazing!

Review 80:No tea or coffee making facility in room

Review 81:Beautiful accommodation modern and luxury Finnish

Review 82:There was nothing we didn't like

Review 83:Total pleasantness of owners and staff.

Review 84:nothimg

Review 86:The hotel didn't have a travel cot that was suitable for our toddler.

Review 87:Room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Lovely breakfast.

Review 88:Very good service and food. Exceptionally helpful staff.

Review 105:Excellent food in the restaurant

Review 106:Nothing!
