Reviews for Coffey's Rivers Edge
Review 1:Nothing bad at all
Review 2:Lovely welcome (even though the home team were playing Dublin in the final and the town was empty) Lovely room overlooking the river and great breakfast
Review 3:The bedroom had a musty smell. The shower room was adequate but the taps were strange, difficult to have any control!
Review 4:Finn gave us a great welcome and suggested where we might like to eat. Good view of the river and bridge from our room. Anne is also lovely and eager to help with provision of maps and advice. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, superb!
Review 5:The hotel is near the river, and probably because of this there is a bit of a musty odor.
Review 6:The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Their comments and suggestions contributed to our enjoyment of the area.
Review 7:The automatic tap in the bathroom's sink was weird.
Review 8:Very nice position with parking space. Finn (the host) was very kind and provided suggestions for our trip.
Review 9:Situated on the banks of the river with 2 very amicable hosts. Great advice on where to go visit for the best views. A lovely, clean, comfortable room with great breakfast
Review 10:We highly recommend anyone travelling the Ring of Kerry or just to Killarney to stay at Coffey's. The setting is lovely and since we had our own designated table just outside the room we had a great spot to watch the river go by. Kilorglin is great because it's close to Killarney but at the end of the day you can get away from the tourist bustle. We drove into Killarney and were able to hire bikes there and cycle the National Park. There are also plenty of greats places to eat and drink in Kilorglin including Spanish, Italian, Indian and Thai food. The owners of Coffey's could not be more friendly and really make you feel welcome. The breakfast is not to be missed either! We will definitely stay here again in the future and have already recommended it to family.
Review 11:Town very quiet. No live traditional music mid week.
Review 12:Owners were lovely and extremely helpful with advice. Had extra space which was wonderful. Site on river was great. Breakfast amazing
Review 13:There is nothing to not like.
Review 14:I wouldhighly recommend coffeys b&b as it wuz like being at home.My parents myself and my little girl luved it.It wuz reali handy to get to dingle only an hrs drive and then on to the ring of kerry.Finbar,Ann &there daughter chloe were just so luvly &friendly and great craic.they gave us maps and recommended using the ferry over to(valencia island) to see the ring plus ann told us about the spellig chocolate factory were we could taste the local chocolate an see it being made.you do have to drive a good bit to find it but diff well worth it.Ann had our window table overlooking the river every morning.the view in which to eat your breakfast wuz gorgeous.on site parking meant you could walk up around the town wuz which buzzing.will diff be back again.thanx u ann in finbar.
Review 15:Very few problems here. Had some minor issues with the bathroom sink taps which had a habit of spraying you and the room if you weren't careful :) but no dramas really.
Review 16:Anne and Finbar were amazing hosts! Welcoming, sociable and very helpful - we loved chatting to them each morning. The room was well equipped and comfy and the breakfast was fantastic. This is a great choice for a base to explore the south west (and Finbar has all the info for the best places to see!)
Review 17:Ermmm. It rained a bit.
Review 18:There might be a friendlier and more welcoming host couple somewhere but they'll be hard to find. Thanks for a very very pleasant stay.
Review 19:I really hated having to leave.
Review 20:I really loved the location of this beautiful Guest House. From our arrival to when we departed we could not have been better looked after. If I am down this way again I will not be staying anywhere else.
Review 21:Nothing - its a great place to stay
Review 22:Owners very helpful and friendly. They gave us tips as to where to tour on our motorbikes to get to see the highlights without getting into lots of traffic!
Review 23:Room a little tired and very disappointing view from the room over scruffy rear garden onto semi derelict neighbouring buildings. The picture of the front of the hotel looks great and to be fair it is most pleasant to look at adjacent to the river and attractive bridge. Probably rooms to the front would be fine.
Review 24:Friendly attentive proprietors. Good advice regards places to eat and trips to make.
Review 26:We had a really nice stay @Coffey's River Edge. The owners gave us really good tips about the area ( recommendations for restaurants and Ring of Kerry!) ! They were just the sweetest!! Thank you so much for your kindness. The breakfast was also delicious, a lot of different options, this is a must compared to other B&B who offer only a few choices.
Review 27:The owners were so friendly, and really accommodating. The location was great, right on the river, and so close to everything I needed. I will be staying here again next time I'm in Killorglin for work.
Review 28:From the moment of arrival until our departure, we basked for four days in the warmth and generosity of spirit of Coffey's owners. Precision of care in a relaxed atmosphere is an unbeatable combination. Even a seal popped up its bowler-hat-shaped head to wish us well as we left.
Review 29:Thank you to Anne and Finbarr for a great two day stay! The B&B itself was very inviting. The dining room windows overlook the river which was a very picturesque setting while eating a wonderful and delicious breakfast. Finnbar directed us to a site on Slea Head drive, that we did not know about from previous research, which turned out to be one of our favourite sights on our trip! And last but not least - Anne was the most bubbly and engaging host we met in Ireland! This B&B had everything I had hoped for in an Irish B&B!! Thanks again Anne and Finnbar for your great hospitality!:) Maureen, Lars, and Riley
Review 30:The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. The location next to the river and steps away from good dining and lots of live music was perfect. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable and had a great view.
Review 31:All good
Review 32:Ann & Finn were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room had a lovely view of the river and we could sit outside in the sun. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and plentiful.
Review 33:Room seemed a bit tired and had a slightly strange arrangement. Shower o.k. but towels provided were old and hard.
Review 34:Location was great. Within three minutes of town centre and close to pubs and restaurants. View of the bridge from the room was picturesque. Breakfast was very good.Plenty of choice. Owners were very personable and gave some great tips about what to do.
Review 35:Upon arrival we were given a genuinely warm welcome, which carried on throughout our stay. Ann and Fin seem to really care about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. More than just hosts, they are excellent guides and were able to recommend lots to do and see around the area. The location is great, looking directly out onto the river, and within a short drive to some lovely beaches. Perfect place to set up base and explore Kerry from. Also, great little tapas place around the corner in a converted catherdal called Sol y Sombre. All Highly recommended!

Review 44:This is a very nice b&b and the staff work really hard to make your stay a happy one. Located beside the river and with its own car park it is easy to find as it's the first place you see when you enter the town. I will stay there again next time.
