Reviews for Ospitalita' del Conte Hotel & Spa

Review 1:The owner was super...very friendly and helpful. This hotel is also just around the corner from one of Olbia's best restaurants. Comfortable bed and a proper power shower.

Review 2:---

Review 3:Good location, near to the station and centre. Good to reach by bus from airport. Although not booked, we were situated in the new building. I think it suited the hotel better, okay. Nice luxery room, nice bathroom, good bed. Breakfast was more than enough and good.

Review 4:Would have benefitted from having a car. We had hoped to walk to nearest beaches but it was not a practical proposition.

Review 5:Hotel was in good location near to main street. However it was tucked away so lovely and quiet. Within short walking distance from train station. Very good breakfast and very helpful receptionist. Good facilities. Wi-Fi excellent and very good shower (both best on this trip).

Review 6:the hotel smells like everywhere is a strong parfume, not very fresh.the room was quite dark but nice, the bathroom was not completely clean and the lights gave a constant buzz like the cheap hotels in Bangkok.i expected a 4 star really comfortable hotel for this price,100 euro for 1 night junior suite, but found a 3 star hotel.check out could be better at 12 instead of 10 when you are on a holdiday. They offered a junior suite in their dependance, but that was not the romantic part of the hotel, the cheaper one and i wanted to surprise my boyfriend. Now we stay at a beautiful place 200 metres away for half of the price.

Review 7:The location is central.the room was Nice, but quite dark.

Review 8:The hotel was beautiful. It was clean, modern, great facilities, and a perfect location for walking around Olbia. The staff need a special mention as they were unbelievably helpful, going out if their way to help us source a large po for swimming, an amazing restaurant and the ideal Italian football shirt for a gift to take home. Would definitely recommend!

Review 9:Nothing.

Review 10:There is a very good location. Hotel have a nice old romantic atmosphere. Best design of a hall, dining-room and room. Very cosily and very friendly.

Review 11:The hotel is beautiful, modern but with old world charm and very clean and comfortable. I stayed in the villa part above the spa. My room faced the garden part of the spa and was very quiet.

Review 12:It was kinda noisy, especially from the stairs, internet was on and off, maybe a temporary fault. Check - in takes ages

Review 13:The location was awesome, easy to find, in the centre. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms

Review 14:Rooms a bit stuffy as we couldn't open the windows due to building works. Worth checking works are complete. And management did contact us and warn us before arrival.

Review 15:Great rooms and location and a wonderful breakfast. Can't fault it.

Review 16:we were not informed that the hotel is under renovation and that there will be construction noise early in the morning - the staff was rather unfriendly and not informative - there was a power cut in the middle of the night, security lights and alarms kept us from sleeping, the rooms on the ground floor are not soundproof (contrary to the information that the hotel provides) ... we didn't use the spa, but think that it is only massages that are dispensed in the humid basement of the hotel ...

Review 17:the design quality of the room and the location close to the city center

Review 18:we book this hotel and got a room in the nearby "villa". the room was nice and clean. When arriving the room was quite warm so we switch on the aircon and left for dinner. After arriving the room was still very hot. aircon not working at all. after opening the window it did not get better, but we had the room full of mosquitos. which resulted in a all in all terrible night, hot room, not aircon, chasing mosquitos and numerous bites...

Review 19:look of the room

Review 20:The hotel did not inform us that it is undergoing an exterior renovation and is currently covered in scaffolding. Builders started knocking at 7.45am right outside our room. Looks like a long term project adding a new floor and rear extension to the hotel.

Review 21:Lovely breakfast, breakfast room and decoration; pleasant staff.

Review 22:Breakfast was average. Not a big selection of fruit or hot food.

Review 23:Gorgeous old fashioned room with modern furnishings, lovely shower, service was excellent. Staff went out of their way to help us.

Review 24:There was nothing I did not like about the hotel. My only disappointment was that as a single traveler and with the hotel full, I did not get a bedroom with the beautiful stonework.

Review 25:I chose the hotel from the excellent reviews and the photos. I was not disappointed. Beautiful stone work made it so different from other hotels. All staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, especially Edith on reception. Perfect place for a base for the old town.Excellent buffet breakfast.

Review 26:Since it’s a central town palazzo the room view is to the building on the other side of the road. Ignore that and enjoy your stay, if you want vistas get on your car and drive northwards.

Review 27:The Locanda is a charming hotel. A hotel you book when you want to upgrade your stay in Olbia. It is properly staffed, equipped and decorated. If you are staying in Olbia and your budget allows it, look no further. Book at the Locanda.

Review 28:No Tea/coffee making facilities in room. A little noisy due to central location.

Review 29:Central location in old town. Only 5 mins from airport. Bedrooms nicely furnished with excellent shower. Staff extremely helpful and can speak good English. Breakfast delicious!

Review 30:The staff were wonderful: warm, welcoming and very helpful. The decor was modern and everything was good quality, especially after experience of some of the other hotels in the area. The location is prefect for wandering around Olbia, and we only wished our stay was longer. Though we knew we were in the villa and the main house was already fully booked, we would definitely love to try the main house too. At any rate, we felt really lucky to have discovered this gem!

Review 31:The hotel does not have a bar or a restaurant and we were not advised that there was a sun terrace as advertised on the site.

Review 32:It is a charming hotel in the centre of Olbia. The staff are very friendly and attentive making us feel very welcome during our stay. We booked a Junior Suite in the main hotel and found it to be very comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and spacious. There wasn't an outdoor area in the room so if you want a balcony then book into the newer building across the road. There is a fabulous fish restaurant next door! Breakfast was in a gorgeous room downstairs and was a good continental breakfast offering, this was included in our room rate which was an added bonus. Whilst located in the centre of Olbia, the hotel is on a quiet street so we enjoyed a good nights sleep! Free Wi-fi was great!

Review 33:Breakfast was ok and we had 4-5 flying insects in our room when we checked-in (probably due to have the window open during cleaning)

Review 34:We stayed in a building right next to Locanda, but not in the main building. Staff was very nice and helpful and the location is good - 1 or 2 min walk from main street.

Review 35:we checked out very early - the staff prepared breakfast and arranged luxury transport to the airport. hotel is beautiful, with modern style, and excellent location.

Review 36:Preferred to have stayed in the Hotel but we were in the modern Annex. This said, it was still very good.

Review 37:The Hotel was very quiet and the staff extremely helpful. Also the proximity to Olbia's main street for shopping and eating out

Review 38:Wifi connection is very poor

Review 39:Amazing hotel, the ambiance is beautiful. .... amazing service , I have been to plenty of hotels worldwide I have never came through such amazing service like the people in the reception of this hotel. Extremely polite and patient and helpful. Amazing location !! Rooms are huge , beds are comfortable .

Review 40:Considering the "sparkling" hotel and an outside temperature above 25 degrees it's strange that you don't find a free bottle of water in your room but only 0.25l of chilled water for EUR 2.00 in the minibar.

Review 41:Beautiful room. Very friendly staff. Rich breakfast even in early morning.

Review 42:Some small things missing from being perfect: 1) Wifi coverage was poor in the room and actually we were able to get good connection only in the bathroom. 2) Room has a kettle to make tea but plug that does not fit in the sockets. Once again only suitable plug was in the bathroom. 3) Minibar includes wine but there is no wine glasses. 4) Noise on the street can be heard very well in the room. We stayed Saturday evening and heard all the music from the bar as almost being in it. Earplugs helped but not fully. People with light sleep should certainly think twice before booking.

Review 43:We stayed for just 1 night in Junior Suite. Hotel is wonderful and welcoming was on the level 5-star accommodation. Our room had all necessary amenities, comfortable bed and private balcony with the evening sun. Since we had early flight hotel agreed to serve breakfast before regular hours (6.45 AM instead of 8.00).

Review 44:only point : a fridge and kitchen would be nice in the appartment but anyway we eat mainly outside.

Review 45:top staff, geographic situation excellent (in the city and 10 min by car to go to beach). clean. Incredible terrace

Review 46:There are 2 structures, when you book make sure you get a room at the "Locanda del Conte" I got a room at the nearby "Villa del Conte Mameli" their new building, which has nothing to do with the pictures shown, but very clean and quiet anyway.

Review 47:Just few blocks away from the central pedestrian street, lies in a quiet corner surrounded by trees. There's an amazing restaurant very next of it, l"Osteria del Mare" which I strongly recommend. Breakfast was very good and staff really friendly.

Review 48:We were not given a copy of our final bill when leaving the hotel due to breakdown of hotel printer/computer. We did not get the chance to check the bill. We were overcharged which the hotel has accepted the error on their part However still waiting for reimbursement.

Review 49:Friendly staff but lack experience

Review 50:The staff were great and the rooms were beautiful! This hotell really made our honeymoon the best it could be. The location of the hotell is in the middle of the city Olbia, on a quiet side street of the popular main street. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's thinking of visiting Sardinia.

Review 51:there was nothing that I did not like about this hotel

Review 52:It was a beautiful little boutique hotel, the room was terrific and the breakfast was very good. parking right behind the hotel was very convenient. The staff were very helpful.

Review 53:We loved this hotel. It's located in the heart of Olbia, in the old part, and has a beautiful interior, with modern and old details. The bathrooms are beautiful, breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly. They have a parking space (something that is hard to find in Olbia).

Review 54:This place is perfect!!! There is no reason not to book this hotel for your stay in Olibia!

Review 55:Look no further!!! This is such a beautiful hotel. The minute you walk in it just feels lovely. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and it had possible the best shower I used in Europe. The rooms are very clean with modern facilities (lovely clean bathroom). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to the Costa Smeralda. It is only a short drive (half an hour- 45mins) to Porto Cervo and all the beautiful beaches along the coast. Other hotels in Porto Cervo are overpriced and very dated. I wish we stayed here longer!!!

Review 56:The only concern were the mosquitoes and the heat. Perhaps a net over the bed would have been good but better still some insect grill covers to the windows would have helped. The room was hot at night, due to heat in the day.

Review 57:The location was excellent, quite at night but close to good restaurants and nightlife. The bedroom with balcony on the first floor was gorgeous, do book it, worth the extra money, with lovely bathroom facilities. Very clean. Breakfast was superb, plenty of variety and very fresh, we were set-up for the day and the staff from the moment we arrived was first class, helpful and friendly. No complaints.

Review 58:Helpful friendly staff. Good location. Partner especially enjoyed the spa. Very comfortable.

Review 59:Everything was perfect. We were really enjoying staying here

Review 60:Perfect location.

Review 61:The staff was really unfriendly.

Review 62:Nothing not to like.

Review 63:A wonderful hotel. A gem. Perfect location. Very helpful staff. On site parking. Excellent facilities. Great breakfast

Review 64:Nothing

Review 65:Wonderful hotel, amazing rooms and breakfast

Review 66:Low key comfort. Friendly but not pushy staff - went the extra mile to make sure we had a good experience.

Review 67:The staff was very helpful. The room had a lot of character, very well decorated.

Review 68:Very helpful staff close proximity to centre but quiet area.. lovely comfortable bed

Review 69:Rather expensive

Review 70:Great breakfast, good location, spacious room

Review 71:it was under construction

Review 72:very clean. really nice big bathroom.

Review 73:everything great really excellent breakfast

Review 74:Breakfast - poor choice for vegetarian

Review 75:Location, interior.

Review 76:unfortunately there is a lot of traffic you can hear the whole night

Review 77:beautifully designed with a lot of charm

Review 78:Friendly welcome, good breakfast, comfortable room and a great location.

Review 79:The room was small for a suite.

Review 80:The reception staff.

Review 81:Comfortable and stylish rooms with rather magnificent bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast.

Review 82:Our room. The decor and very comfortable bed. Great staff. Great location.

Review 83:Every thing about this hotel room/ villa was delightful. Modern comfy room .bed comfortable, bathroom new and fantastic. Just wonderful.

Review 84:Everything

Review 85:Hotel is good, very tasty breakfast, stuff is helpful.

Review 86:Small flies around the food

Review 87:Modern, very beautifully done

Review 88:Lovely room decor and huge terrace.

Review 89:NOTHING

Review 90:IT ALL

Review 91:Beautiful building, amazing internal stonework. Loved our room! Breakfast was varied and plenty of it!! Staff were first class, definately recommend

Review 92:The decoration, rooms, breakfast, staff

Review 93:Clean, comfortable, and close to the heart of Olbia. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Review 94:Sadly couldn't stay for longer!

Review 95:- stylish designed room, modern bathroom, spacious and comfortable balcony and delicious breakfast.

Review 96:It would have been nice for the breakfast to open earlier than 0800 to provide for guests who want or need to start their day earlier.

Review 97:Location was very central to the Olbia harbor area and yet still was a very quiet setting. Amenities were very nice in every respect and the very reasonable nightly rate made this hotel experience most satisfactory.

Review 98:The noise from cars passing by on the cobbled street can be a bit noisy at night if the window is open but this is no fault of the hotel.

Review 99:La Locanda Del Conte Mameli is a visually beautiful hotel with stylish decor and an air of luxury. Breakfast was fabulous with an amazing variety of quality food on offer - one of the best breakfasts we have ever encountered. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are warm, welcoming and helpful and the hotel also enjoys a prime position in the historic centre of Olbia just a short walk from the main street and has its own off street car park.

Review 100:Nice boutique hotel, relaxing and beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, panoramic views from the terrace, high quality breakfast (although no warm dishes and having breakfast later choice is poorer). Mysteriously our bathroom door stuck during the 1st 2014 FIFA WC match and they even dared to call extra staff to solve the problem (and we all know how important is football for Italians!:)). Still we had to stay 1 night at the nextdoor residence, which was also nice but I definetely recommend La Locanda the most and would stay there again.

Review 101:In centre of historical town, but still got mosquitoed ! Beds are very firm (still slept like a log though)

Review 102:Historical location - built on a Roman aqueduct. 5 mins to harbour, plenty happening on next streets - market, food and drink festival

Review 103:The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms had original features, but with modern appliances. Breakfast was served between 08:00-10:00 and was in a lovely setting downstairs. Definitely recommend staying here if you are using Olbia as a base. The hotel is located in the nicer part of town and close to shops and some great restaurants.

Review 104:There was nothing to complain

Review 105:The hotel is very nice, stylish and comfortable an clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast area and the breakfast itself was amazing. All in all that hotel is awesome!

Review 106:Location is central but without any particular view, although our suite was probably best of all.

Review 107:Comfortable suite with 2 balconies !. Excellent breakfast and nicely decorated hotel & breakfast room. Very customer oriented staff. Very spacious and safe parking.

Review 108:Signage took a minute to find it but only because I wasn't expecting the location

Review 109:I was so pleasantly surprised. The best accommodation I have experienced in Italy. I'm definitely going back. Rooms are unique but fun. Cleanliness was optimum.

Review 110:My room window opens to the street: when closed, it is silent, but ifyou like to get some fresh air, it will be noisy.

Review 111:Very nice rooms, exceptional interior, well-equipped bathroom, very goodbed. Location is very close to the main shopping and restaurant street.Excellent for couples.

Review 112:the wi-fi was not reachable on the balcony

Review 113:a small and super nice hotel just behind the main street's noise the room with the balcony is the best one, you have to go for that! the attention to the customer is very nice and you are treated like a star private parking just behind the hotel, a rare luxury for a hotel in town center the recommendation of a restaurant was spot on super breakfast, big choice of meals

Review 114:I found the staff were all very friendly and very efficient. The décor was the main star it is extremely different and stylish and all with a breakfast to die for.

Review 115:We very really very disappointed. In my oppinion that hotel iscompletely overvoted. We had a very very small room with roughly 10-12m², which was extremly noisy and very dark. In the morning you get nobreakfast before 8.00 - no hot coffee, etc.. The bed was very hard. Wedid not feel fine or welcome. The lady at the reception-checking in wasnot really warmhearted and really coolish to us. We had to wait for theEnglish speaking guy (who was a really friendly one) at the night shift,to get some info about our departure. (For a 4* hotel with quite highprices that is really bad that the people there during the day are notaware of a little bit of English...) We will defintily not come backagain to that place, as there are more cheaper and much better places, were you feel more comfortable and welcome in Olbia.

Review 116:Due to our early departure (bevor 8.00am !!), we got some bread, butter, yoghurt and fruits for the next morning. - That was nice! Parking spacewas save and secure. The bath room was really very beautiful. Roomdecoration was nice.

Review 117:the beaches are quite far away, but I would anyway recommend to rent a car (the hotel has its own parking place), because the nicest beaches are little bit out of Olbia and deffinitelly worth to visit

Review 118:the Atmosphere in the hotel is perfect - the Hotel is partially an old aquaduct combine with very nice and luxury renovation. It so different to all this new modern hotels where one room is more or less the same in all this hotels; it is so special; on the top the breakfast id dellicious; you see in this hotel that it is small so they can really concentrate on details; the staff is always present with offering help with anything you need; it is in the city center so you can easy make a night walk through the center with all shops and restaurants

Review 119:Our stay was just a short one!

Review 120:Hotel staff very welcoming on arrival and during our stay. Very tasteful decoration throughout, and breakfast room incorporated in the ancient Roman aquaduct. Proximity to good restaurants, shops and the airport. Room had a lovely balcony area overlooking typical Italian streets. Car parking facility.
