Reviews for Brunton Boatyard
Review 1:The hotel could usefully add some non-Indian wines to the menu.
Review 2:Great to stay in such a historic building that has all the comfort of a 5 star hotel. Loved the full sized snooker table as well
Review 3:Room smelled a little of mould / mildew.
Review 4:Love the building and furniture and how it has been restored to that of its era. Excellent service with very friendly and efficient staff. Great location and close to rest of town.
Review 5:Seafood platter for Rs.1,600 in the restaurant was a bit costly considering the volume of contents.
Review 6:Good location, well maintained heritage, and well trained staff. Room was spacious with high ceiling, which was really comfortable.
Review 7:Internet expired every 24hrs and new code was required, worked well in room before 9am but otherwise worked best in the loby.
Review 8:I would recommend a massage or two to help you feel rejuvenated and make the most of a relaxing holiday.
Review 9:The pool has a loveley position but we were attched by mosquitos (in the afternoon) and an sun shade was hard to find and none of them could be altered (the hinges had been painted in) so no way to save ourselves from the late afternoon sun. We had to leave very early for the airport and the packed breakfast were given was poor quality (we dumped it in the airport). This was a shame really. We were there on our last day for a bit of comfort and pampering after walking in the mountains and did not really get what we were looking for.
Review 10:The style, architecture and location is excellent. We really enjoyed the complementary boat trip and the sea side restaurant for lunch
Review 11:Not really a bad experience, but a suggestion, the foot stool/ board which is there to get on to bed (which is high - its the colonial style possibly) should have non slip bottoms, there is a tendency of the foot stool / board to slip on the smooth tiles.
Review 12:Location is excellent, the view is great. I loved the ambience.
Review 13:The room tarrif was way too ecxpendive for what the hotel had to offer.
Review 14:Only stayed one night. Central location in Fort Kochi, Good waterfront views; comfortable rooms; very comfortable bed. Free wifi.
Review 15:No faucets in bathrooms; may inconvenience non-western and elderly travelers. Food was bland; no salt and spices, more suited to the western palate. Again, non-westerners will not find it appetizing, unless they like bland food. Food prices were very high for the portion sizes served.
Review 16:View Large rooms Very luxurious bed and mattress Colonial style décor Location Well trained staff Good breakfast Delicious dessert pudding
Review 17:The rooms were excellent, super comfortable beds, clean bedroom and bathroom with great view, polite and friendly staff and delicious breakfast (the warm banana bread and eggs benedict were so tasty)
Review 18:Wished there was more selection in breakfast.
Review 19:Everything was amazing... right from the time we checked in to the check out. The property is well maintained and the service is wonderful. The staff always has a smile on their face. We had a standard sea facing room and the view was gorgeous. You must try the banana cake. Ordered 2 loaves to take home :)
Review 20:Food at restaurant disappointing- restaurants outside much better/fresher food, and cheaper
Review 21:Liked the time out from the intensity or travelling in wonderful India; the comforts, bath, views, service and as a solo female traveller, the knowledge of being safe to relax properly when I was so far away from home.
Review 22:The salad at dinner was pretty pathetic.
Review 23:The location, the rooms, the staff. All excellent. The bed was SO comfy and huge!
Review 24:Cramped, hugely overpriced - not worth the money spent, limited public space was booked for marriage party one evening
