Reviews for Agriturismo La Quercia

Review 1:Wifi was mostly never working, and when it did - only if you sitsomewhere very close to the house where it was located. It did not workin the bungalows/ guest rooms. Taken that it requires a lot of timeand energy and driving to get to the location, the breakfast could beimproved a bit. A lot! It was very local, but not something to lookforward to. Another big minus is the lack of available restaurants/food/ supermarkets anywhere in that bigger area of Arbus/Guspini etc. Everything closes between 12 and 5. There is only onerestaurant in Arbus (sa Lolla). Make sure you stock up on yournecessities before you visit La Quercia.

Review 2:The location is excellent, clean mountain air, wonderful place. Thehosts are wonderful and helpful! The doga re a lot of fun, too! We foundthe room to be super pleasant and big, vert nice for chilling out in theevenings on the veranda with a glass of wine!

Review 3:There is nothing to dislike.

Review 4:Extremely helpful hosts. Nothing was a bother for Marco, his wife and his charming mother. Very nice room with very comfortable bed. Dinners were traditional Sardinian and very interesting. Located on a working farm only a short distance off the road. Very interesting local area with superb beaches close by and scenery like nothing else.

Review 5:Marco and his family were amazing hosts. Food, oaks forest, facilities, place itself and even the other guests who we sat at a big table with for dinner....were amazing! All wonderful, thanks Marco! EXCELLENT

Review 6:Location is a bit mountainy therefore you can't drive fast through the serpantine roads. It's better to take the road through Gonosfanadiga, not through Arbus if you travel from/to central part of the island. It's not a big problem though, you just need to plan your travel time accordingly.

Review 7:Very nice atmosphere of cosy home and friendliness created by Marco, very nice dinners prepared by his mother. Marco helped a lot in exploring this beautiful island wit his many good advices.

Review 8:Nothing, as we have written in the positive points. But you must realise, that the place is a bit remote. So if you want to eat in a restaurant, you will have to drive back to Arbus 10-15 minutes. But we knew about that fact, and we wanted to stay on La Quercia to learn about the people there, and about all the good things that came/come out of the kitchen! And we promise - you will never starve there!

Review 9:We were in La Quercia beginning of April 2014. It was raining like hell, the next morning we even got a heavy hailstorm. Amazing! But nevertheless, Marco (and not only him!) made us a very warm welcome. Apart from another couple we were (out of season) on our own. We had made a reservation of the "normal suite", and, for the same price, we got an update to the "major-suite" - which was a real highlight we had not expected, or seen so far on Sardinia (not to forget it is Agriturismo). Due to the fact, that there were not yet many other tourists, we had dinner and breakfast in the same house with the family. A fantastic experience, and a really warm welcome in every sense. And we got the best cooking from Marco’s mother. We only speak little Italian, but with Marco’s help we also had a lot of fun speaking to his mother and his father. We almost felt as one family – and we learned a lot about the place and the family-business. The place itself is constantly being changed, and important with that, every time more upgraded. It is situated in midst of oak trees on a hill slope and lies in absolute silence – so you are able to see al the surroundings and the beautiful landscape. It is a place to hike, to just relax or by trying your luck with your bicycle. If you want any information, you get them from Marco. If you need any help by moving around in the very interesting region – Marco will help you. Well, we could write a book about the place and its owners. We can only say: Superb – try it yourself – we from our part, are one day going back to this place (Marco and family, thank you very much for everything, it was a honnor!).

Review 10:Unfortunately the terrace rooms are traces of the ongoing renovation (one should think how to make them less noticeable).

Review 11:Stayed in Agriturismo La Quercia with 03 till 05.08.2013. It was our first experience of stay in hotel of this kind. Very hospitable family of owners who are ready to help to solve at any time any problems. Magnificent joint dinners, both on the friendly atmosphere, and on offered local dishes. Lack of the Internet and television in numbers I don't consider as an essential shortcoming as to hotels of this kind go not behind it. What regret about visits of this place I didn't test. On a ratio of the price and quality unambiguously 10 points.

Review 12:Nothing :-)

Review 13:A fantastic place to stay. We stayed for two nights and could easily have stayed two more. Even though it is placed a bit away there is still a short distance by car to great beaches. But the friendlyness of Marco and his family is beyond words. Just visit them and experience this amazing friendly people. And thanks to Marco's mother for two fantastic dinners with a lot of great tasting and varied food.

Review 14:the place is very nice, up on the mountain, fresh air and wonderful surrounding. Family that works there are such a nice people. They always run around and makes you feel like at home. Mother prepares dinner, you sit all together with other tourists, share, enjoy delicious food, wine and have a nice long talking evening with son Marco. Its a simple, cozy place that i never saw before and always would like to come back!

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:The hospitality, food and beatifull peacefull location. Close to nice beaches (by car).

Review 17:The bathroom a bit old.

Review 18:Very nice staff and atmosphere. The big dining table where you can meet new people. Marco's friendliness.

Review 19:Nice agriturismo in the hills surrounded by cork trees. Friendly owners and very tasty typical sardinian dinner cooked for all guests by the family!
