Reviews for Tipico Resort

Review 1:Great location, friendly staff and you do stay in an actual trullo. The trullo was very clean and spacious . Definitely a unique experience.parking was a little tricky but to be expected

Review 2:Note that if you use a lot of electricty of equipments of the house (air conditioners, lights, hair dryer, etc) at the same time, the breaker may shout down.

Review 3:- The house was very charming, confortable, large and clean. - Staffs were so kind and nice. - Breakfast was excellent. - The location is in the real residence area of Trulli, it is very quietn, nice and convenient.

Review 4:Trullo experience is nice but smell of humidity can affect your staying if you plan to spend many days.

Review 5:Trullo location was great to visit Alberobello. Staff was very kind too.

Review 6:Since we had a mini-kitchen, it would have been nice to have some wine glasses, or just regular glasses. There was a moka pot and coffee cups, so that was nice.

Review 7:Very friendly and helpful staff (A+++). Our basement apartment was cute and cozy and perfect size for our needs. I was a bit sad at first to learn it wasn't a trullo, but it was in the trulli neighborhood and honestly, it was just as lovely. They do have real trullos you can rent.

Review 8:Heater in the room did not heat the space. Was very cold during the night with the heater on full.

Review 9:Wonderful and helpful staff. Beautiful accommodations.

Review 10:We loved everything! Thank you for an upgrade to a Trullo! Staff were also very warm and friendly and spoke excellent English. They went out of their way to send us to the train station. Accommodation was also spotlessly clean and breakfast was wonderful. They made our overall stay an excellent one. Beautiful Trullo, awesome staff!

Review 11:NOTHING !!!!!

Review 12:The staffs were so kind and friendly. The house was lovely and very comfortable. Great heater, great bed and great bathroom. The location is also perfect. Only 10 min from train station and it is in the center of Trulli village. We really enjoyed spending in the traditional cave, trulli !!! Also, even though breakfast is additional of 5 euro, it is great. We had a great morning with cappuccino and croissant =D

Review 13:It was a perfect experience to stay in a Trullo. It felt like ı was a local person living in Alberobello. It was great to be directly in the town's street when you step out of your hotel room .

Review 14:There was nothing negative about the trip except that we didn't stay longer.

Review 15:Incredible customer service. Rooms were beautiful. Everything is in a short walking distance. Quiet, and peaceful. Breakfast was incredible.

Review 16:Would appreciate an electric kettle, and, not directing guests to your restaurant.

Review 17:Causy and spaceous, tastfuly decorated, in good location. Staff is very attentive, friendly, and efficient. WiFi is excellent.

Review 18:Everything was perfect, starting with typical trulli house, the breakfast, the sourrandings and the staff who was very kind and helpful. The wi fi in the whole house was very good.

Review 19:It was a cold november day so felt a little cold in the midnight. But this has ntg to do with the place. Just consider this if you have a small child and ask for an extra blanket before its late night as the reception is a little far from the trulli.

Review 20:we all loved staying in an old trulli house. Our son felt himself in a fairy tale :) Want to come again in spring time! The trullis are very close to the heart of alberobello. Nice and kind staff. The best breakfast we had in Puglia. Thank you !

Review 21:None!

Review 22:I couldn't wait to post this after we made our wonderful trip while staying at the Tipico Resort. The room was like living in a quaint and felt like we were living in a fairy tale. They were outstanding in every way extremely helpful and very kind staff, cleanliness of the room; absolutely spotless, towels and accessories were plentiful, nice breakfast with a variety of fresh fruits, best value for your money, nice location, etc. Best customer service. Perfect! Thank you Mina and staff! You made our stay so wonderful!

Review 23:Have in mind that it is a bit wet in the trulli but it's not a big problem.

Review 24:Sleeping in a trulli is something everyone should experience at least once in the life. The place is great, you have the feeling that you are in a fairy tale. The staff is very kind and it is not problem to arrive even after 10 pm if they are notified.

Review 25:Everything was perfect. We loved our well equipped Trullo. Parking nearby at no additional cost! The staff was very competent and they did a good job describing what to see, where to go, where to eat.

Review 26:Loved our stay. The staff was very accommodating, as we arrived early. Our 'trulli' house, was very comfortable, clean and spacious. We had a delicious meal at the Casa Nova and enjoyed 'Market Day' in town the following morning.

Review 27:All good

Review 28:Lovely trullo bedroom with sitting room and kitchen, an apartment really. Good breakfast and excellent value for money. Friendly, efficient check in staff.

Review 29:This resort was staffed with truly wonderful people. They helped us move in, provided a wonderful breakfast, and when we asked for a kettle in the room they went out and bought one.

Review 30:Just one smal thing: too short beds (my boyfriend is over 190cm).

Review 31:It is really special experience to sleep in trullo, it looked small from outside, but was totally comfortable inside.oh, and the breakfast is just great!

Review 32:There were only two things which I really didn’t like in our trullo but I hope that they will be corrected in future. The first thing is a problem of tightness (or I don’t know how to call it) of our trullo. When we have been in Alberobello there were some rains and I thing after this I have seen a big rain-worm in the shower. Brrrr… And the second problem was again at the shower. There was a small window above the head and it faced on the street. I was preparing for taking a shower in the late evening (about 1:00 AM!!) when I have seen that somebody looked at me from that small window. I was terrified! And the next day I have seen a big stone which was really like a stairs on the street under the window of bathroom of our trullo.

Review 33:Tipico Resort in Trulli is one of the best hotels in my long travel-life! Our trullo was situated in the center of the city but non tourist part of it. The trullo-house was clean, extremely nice and cozy (we even didn’t want to leave it for making sightseeing walk of the city!) with good free wi-fi. Our trullo was recently repaired with a new furniture but everything seemed very authentic! Even the key was authentic – huge and heavy (and it was a little bit uncomfortable to bring it with us everywhere). And the big advantage – there was enough light which is very rare in the hotels all over the world. The breakfast was also fantastic! There was a big table with only different kinds of fruits. Then there were extremely tasty banana-strawberry juice and almond cookies, cheese, 3 kind of ham, eggs, focaccia, cherry-tomatoes, some kinds of cakes and tea-caffee. The staff was very nice as at the reception so in the breakfast-room (where the staff-girl have found for us an address of bakery of the cookies!!). At the check-in we have got a free city-map and at the check-out – two magnets as a presents from the hotel! The reception of the hotel is situated near parking area which is very comfortable. After check-in the receptionist has accompanied us to the trullo and in case of necessity he has a special permission for parking in the area for the residence only. The price for a trullo standard was 99 euro… not cheap but it was a real trullo!!!

Review 34:The trullo was right in the heart of the old town on a street of traditional trulli. It was such a romantic location and very close to the rest of the town. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the accommodation was of a high standard. We had just the best stay!

Review 35:No negative comments.

Review 36:All staff at the office were excellent, friendly and obliging. Always greeted with a friendly smile in and out of the office. Assistance with restaurants very much appreciated.

Review 37:Wonderful friendly staff. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. Breakfast covered just about everything you would like. Highly recommend. Great value for money

Review 38:The hot water suddenly stopped and didn't come back during our second night, so my wife only had a couple of minutes in the shower before the water became too cold. One other disappointment was the lack of a kettle in the kitchen.

Review 39:The room we stayed in was number 40. The trulli hut was really cosy and was a good size for the 2 of us. It was clean, comfortable and the location was amazing, within walking distance to pretty much everything in the town. Breakfast was in a cafe next to reception and was very good, large selection and tasty.

Review 40:Donato and Luigi were very welcoming, they even brought our luggages to our room. We are definitely returning next year and would like to stay in the same room if possible!

Review 41:If you are looking for comfortable, luxury accommodation, don't stay in a Trulli but you'll miss out on the atmosphere which brought you to Alberobello.

Review 42:A well presented and refurbished Trulli near Alberobello's main street. The staff were extremely helpful and made our stay a pleasure.

Review 43:While apartment had a fridge it didn't have any wine glasses and lighting was a bit dim for reading by.

Review 44:Young enthusiastic staff gave a good vibe reinforced by their presence at the pleasant breakfast room where there was a great spread with lots of fresh fruit. Staying in a trullo was fun and being on the less touristy side of town meant we rubbed shoulders with some locals. Easy walk to all restaurants and sites; and parking arrangements meant the car was handy to visit the local towns and see the original country trulli.

Review 45:For some reason the hot water boiler had to turn on and off every 2-3 minutes 24/7. Also the water pressure was very low with not understandable supply in the tiny shower whose doors mar pose a problem for larger people. Not much of a view at all from the house but then this kind of building would not have a view anyway due to the small windows. Breakfast starts at 8:00. That is very late for us.

Review 46:Very large hut - room for 5. Very newly renovated. Great location. Good internet connection. Tons of heat sources (Towel radiator in bathroom and just outside of it too. Two airco-type heaters (we were there near Halloween) At least one of these could have been replaced by floor heating and we would have had an easier time adjusting the temp. Not applicable in summer of course.

Review 47:Because I am Coeliac , the breakfast was not adequate;the bread was inedible and except for some fruit, I went hungry.

Review 48:We liked the experience of staying in a Trullo;

Review 49:Weather,

Review 50:Lovely place, perfect location, parking better than expected, Nina was very nice and welcoming, breakfast very good, Internet good, very pleasant stay. Thank you.

Review 51:Everything was excellent

Review 52:Our Trullo number 26 was just the best, original renovated trullo, one of the days was cold and raining and we cooked fresh fettuccine with pesto.

Review 53:The property has a great location and the staff are very helpful. We arrived during a busy Festival and the staff secured parking for us close to the trullo. An excellent breakfast is provided nearby.

Review 54:If the Alberobello Comune would encourage the FSE or private bus owners to organise daily trips to Matera. many Tourists would go for sure. The railway trip is long 31/2 hours one way approx.

Review 55:The only thing would be that there was no where to dry towels after your shower as the radiators were not on.

Review 56:The Trulli was very comfortable and was in the middle of the village which made good access to get to the restaurants, shops and railway station.

Review 57:We would have liked kettle in our room.

Review 58:Helpful, friendly staff. Location was in a secluded place not on the tourist route. Breakfast selection was very good.

Review 59:Some of the lump were out of order.

Review 60:I booked the small room for single but they offered me to use a double room at the same price. Amazing and gorgeous!!

Review 61:Bed and pillows were a little firm for my taste, but clean.

Review 62:Great place for a family! Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Kids loved the loft and the instant hot water was a plus. Highly recommend this place.

Review 63:Slight disappointment that the trulli we stayed in didn't have the conical roof we had been expecting and as it appeared to be in a residential area we experienced noisy neighbours.

Review 64:Really friendly helpful staff and an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

Review 65:These buildings do get surpringly cold at night and the bed was a bit uncomfortable

Review 66:Lovely location and great to stay in a traditional property like this. friendly helpful staff, decent breakfast and good value.

Review 67:The room spelled very strongly of cleaner and didn't ventilate well, but this is not surprising given the architecture of the trullo house.

Review 68:Staff was wonderful- helpful and kind. They helped us find parking, carried our luggage, got us to our trullo house, and answered every question we had. Breakfast was delicious and offered many options. Location was spot on- just a 5 minute walk to get anywhere. Very pet friendly.

Review 69:Paulo was friendly and very informative at check-in. The trullo was unique, charming, cozy and very comfortable. The breakfast provided in the nearby ristorante was great too! We will be back!

Review 70:Excellent breakfast with lots of fruits, wonderful and friendly service (even pick up from the station and taking you back to the bus), great location!

Review 71:We stayed three nights and they upgraded us to a larger trulli to be more comfortable - for free. Spotless accommodation and very friendly and well informed staff. The breakfasts were excellent.

Review 72:Accommodation was quite cramped but this was to be expected in a trullo; Heating the coffee canister on the gas cooker was quite difficult (and dangerous); Alberobello was a bit over-commercialised.

Review 73:Experience of staying in a traditional trullo; fantastic breakfast; very helpful staff;

Review 74:Wow! The town of Alberobello is a "must see" but this accommodation is a "must stay". Our beautifully restored Trulli cottage was just steps from the centre of town. It was immaculate, beautifully decorated and they provided a really extensive breakfast. And charming hosts as well. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Review 75:Alberobello is a moderate size small town but one day is enough to stroll the town. If staying more than 2 nights, plan to visit other areas.

Review 76:The trulli is very comfortable, clean and modern. With 2 foot thick walls, it is very quiet. It is a unique experience staying here. Located near a small grocery store that has terrific prices.

Review 77:The Trullo where we stayed was comfortable, clean and best of all very cozy! Location was convenient, we walked everywhere from there. Breakfast was amazing, they had a variety of fruits, pastries and American style buffet. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Tipico Resort. The staff was very friendly.

Review 78:the drain system in the shower was a bit too slow but it was nothing too serious

Review 79:the trullo house was in an excellent condition, clean and in a quiet area, breakfast had a great selection with good coffee, the staff was very friendly and very well organized

Review 80:The emergency light was on all night and we didn't realized when we arrived because it was daylight, but when we realized it was too late and it was not possible to call any one to come and fix it. The light was on all night and it was impossible to sleep.

Review 81:Trullos are very nice and clean and in a great location. I liked their the map and recommendations

Review 82:Charming to stay in a trullo. All very quaint. Could easily have stayed there for several days as there are cooking facilities and all the necessary crockery etc plus a fridge.

Review 83:Door into bathroom is too low = hit your head off the door frame

Review 84:Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, the room was as described, i.e. very small, but fine.

Review 85:The bed mattress was very, very firm. I had a difficult time falling asleep because the mattress was so hard. Thankfully, the pillows were nice and fluffy.

Review 86:The staff is friendly and very considerate. When they saw I was traveling alone with two small children, they upgraded my Trullo to a larger one with more convenient parking so I would have an easier time moving them and our luggage. Our trullo was adorable and clean. We also appreciated the complimentary bottle of water in the refrigerator! Breakfast was well stocked and had a great variety of fresh fruit including some rarely seen Prickly pears and golden pomegranate!

Review 87:Nothing , everything was good.

Review 88:Great staff, who were helpful and prepared to go the extra mile when a problem emerged (lost wallet, since recovered, thanks Allesio) . didn't just tell us what to do,they dropped everything and showed us T/Units very comfortable and airconditioned on v hot days.

Review 89:ONLY downs were that we found the pillows slightly hard and the shower a bit small!

Review 90:Really authentic experience of staying in a trulli house. Staff exceptionally nice and helpful

Review 91:Everything! This little town is quite a gem! Very unique from anything we have in Canada. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming and extremely helpful! Breakfast is a wide spread of pastries, fruits, meats, cheese, juice, coffee and more. Fresh made cappuccino to order! Very lovely! The room was cozy, but beautiful with all the amenities you need.

Review 92:Nothing

Review 93:Businesses should take a lead from the staff at Tipico the customer service was second to none. EG when we asked where to park, they didn't tell us,they showed us personally. Then without asking, arranged to give us a residents parking permit. Our flight arrived late, and the office closed at 9.00 pm yet at 11.15 pm Mina was awaiting to greet us and she couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant, she was a credit to Tipico. The breakfast was superb as was the trullo. In addition we had the facilities of a pool at their other property. It was a lovely experience being in a ultra clean trullo with traditional features yet with modern amenities. The staff especially Mina were helpful, warm and friendly. We could not fault Tipico.

Review 94:Room pretty cozy and clean and staff really helpful. We leave early morning before the start time of breakfast but they still open early to fit our schedule. Also gave us a drive to bus station. I will here again.

Review 95:The beds were hard as a rock not much of air conditioning system so it was hot and we ended up paying for parking and for breakfast because we gave up trying to find those places. The beds killed it for me after a day of walking

Review 96:Loved the location and it was clean staff was really nice too

Review 97:…the stay was too short, only two days!!!

Review 98:The "trullo" was just perfect, charm, perfectly furnished with style and in very central location. Breakfast over the top. Plenty of tasteful local fruits. One of the best I never had (and I travel 130 days per year since 15 years). Stuff efficient and extremely friendly.

Review 99:Absolutely everything! Resently renovated trullo on the best trullo street in residental area, but few steps from turistic trullo area, very very friendly staff (thank you, my friends!), nice breakfast! Definately will be back!

Review 100:Everything was perfect. From check in to breakfast, location, staff. A fantastic stay and highly recommended. Thank you for a great stay. The best experience ;)

Review 101:Beautiful apartment with very good location. Supported and pleasant personal. Nice unic place. Very good breakfast. We had very nice holidays in this nice place. Recommend it for the future travelers.

Review 102:The apartment is very close to the historic centre. Very good wi-if. The host meet us very late at the night, help with luggage, show everything in the room and gave us small present. It was very nice. The best breakfast we had in Italy.

Review 103:Breakfast was a little bland with no hot food and no great variety. Teas not a great brand. We didn't bother to go on the second morning.

Review 104:Lovely little trullo: two rooms (kitchen/lounge + bedroom and bathroom) in the very center to town so easy for restaurants, old town etc.

Review 105:The trulli was very nice. Small and clean. The breakfast delicious with a lot of choices. Alberobello was something different from other places that we had seen before. Very good experience for us.

Review 106:People are complaining about the small toilette, but that's the beauty of this place.

Review 107:The staff were super friendly. The girl at the reception gave us a very warm welcome by explaining us everything we have to visit in Alberobello. She even offered us their garage for our small car (she traveled with us to make sure we find the garage). Then she made us a mini-tour of our neighborhood. Amazing place. Amazing people. Highly recommended to visit.

Review 108:The Trulia houses are typically where everyone needs to stay, they are warm in atmosphere extremely comfortable and are close to all. That is if you can find your way threw the maze of streets and alleys. A must if you stay in the Alborebello area.

Review 109:I think that although the room was good and nicely decorated the price remains very high ( I assume that relates to the prices in the village in general)

Review 110:The staff was very helpful, the wifi signal very strong, very clean room

Review 111:having to leave.

Review 112:Just fantastic. right in the heart of alberobello which is beautiful.great room . very traditional with great self catering facilities.loved the little free fridge magnet of a trullo.

Review 113:Don't arrive on a Sunday when sat-Nav will send you down blocked off Main Street and can't cope after that.

Review 114:Nice experience Very helpful staff Good breakfast

Review 115:The bathroom is small especially the shower area but not a big issue.

Review 116:Check in location is close to our trulli only a street away. Very beautiful trulli and spacious and clean! Best of it is it has AC, a must in the hot summer! Our trulli is in the residential side so it's peaceful and quiet at night and very close walk to the shops and restaurants side. Breakfast is served at a nearby restaurant and plenty of choices.

Review 117:A bit too few space to unpack my lugage.

Review 118:Enjoyed the silence and cleaniness, great location and just increadible breakfast! Also staff members very helpful and kind. Worth visiting!

Review 119:It was a beautiful trulli apartment in a sensational town. I don't think it could have been better - there was even a light festival on while we were there.

Review 120:Loved being right in town.. parked the car and walked everywhere. Loved the large shower!! usual in Europe. Nice breakfast not just bread and coffee...

Review 121:Excellent location, very gentle staff, very clean and lovely place. Sleeping in a Trullo was very amazing and plesant experiece. During summer very comfortable. They offer us a private box for the car (only small cars) for free.
