Reviews for I Trulli Del Nonno Michele
Review 1:Staying in a real trulli was a wonderful experience. Beautiful pool but too cold to swim in at the end of October. Very helpful owner with lots of suggestions on what to do in the area.
Review 2:Breakfast could be better.
Review 3:Nice place to stay in real "trullo". Not far away from hotel is osteria with great local food. Everything was OK.
Review 4:We loved the friendly owners. Everything was very clean and tidy, the grounds were well tended ,everywhere was well tended. It was good to have breakfast included
Review 5:Breakfast was very simple but it was nice to be able to eat in our own apartment instead of being up by a certain time and eating with strangers.
Review 6:We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back. Lovely B&B with stunning grounds. A couple of good restaurants are within walking distance. WiFi worked well and kitchen was well equipped.
Review 7:Breakfast provided was all dried products.
Review 8:Enjoyed the experience of staying in a trulli! Set in beautiful countryside. Comfortable accommodation. Very good shower.
Review 9:Did not have a hire car so was further away than we thought. Not able to just walk into the town at night as too far and the hire bikes did not come with night lights
Review 10:Accommodation very good. Thoughtful owner
Review 11:WiFi very hit and miss. Breakfast selection a little limited and some fresh fruit and yogurt would've been appreciated.
Review 12:Beautiful location a few minutes drive from Alberobello. Great base for exploring the area. The swimming pool was great. The proprietor was a very charming and helpful lady.
Review 13:Our main gripe (albeit small one) was the fact that the heating was not on/unworkable.
Review 14:Accommodation was well signposted and great location, only a few miles from Alberobello. Apartment was a series of linked trulli which gave the space a distinctive character. The little private terrace was a perfect spot for relaxing with a drink and a book.
Review 15:Wi-fi was a bit iffy but it was good to have an enforced break!
Review 16:Lovely, quiet location but very handy for touring the area. Exactly the kind of traditional property we were looking for, but with modern facilities - all to a high standard.
Review 17:It is good to be aware that even though there are 2 separate bedrooms, they are in tandem, so the bathroom is accessed by walking through both the 1st and the 2nd bedrooms. It would have been helpful to have been given a map of Alberabello town and area when we arrived, so that we could plan our visit along with the information about the houses, as the tourist office has free maps available.
Review 18:It was wonderful staying in an old Trulli house as we were in the Puglia area for 2 days. The charming proprietor supplied information about the area and the construction and symbolism of Trulli houses. The house itself was more spacious that we imagined, the beds very comfortable, and the swimming pool was magnificent and sparkling clean.
Review 19:very clean kitchen and kitchen staff
Review 20:Breakfast was really basic.
Review 21:The experience of staying in a 'real' trulli.
Review 22:Good situation in relation to Alberobello and Locorotondo.
Review 23:Perfect in every way.
Review 24:This is beautiful spot in the countryside and is meticulously maintained. A great place to relax or use as a base for exploring the region.
Review 25:Beautiful setting and lovely trulli. Pool was great and the whole experience was brilliant and great value
Review 26:Blankets on beds not acceptable these days. 4 days with same towells. Noisy neighbours barking dogs.
Review 27:Good facilities
Review 28:Everything
Review 29:Wonderfully relaxing spot - beautiful swimming pool (although too cold to use in November!). Charming and friendly hostess.
Review 30:Nice location in a guiet area. Charming accomodation in right trulli. Swiming pool is great. Perfect start point to do bicykle tours in Valle d Itria, owners are friendly and rent bikes.
Review 31:Kitchen facilities could be better. Shower tray flooded bathroom. Neighbouring residents dog barked a lot. Could have had more local info provided. Sofa bed would be preferred to second bed.
Review 32:Uniqueness of the beautiful accomodation. Secure. Good pool with good facilities. Rural position. Good cycling area. Good nearby restaurant El Vecchio Granaio. Easy to drive into local towns.
Review 33:It is a beautiful place to stay. Having our own patio with table and chairs and sun loungers. We stayed in the studio called La Volta. The room was lovely with a vaulted ceiling. The kitchenette was well equipped and the supply of crossiants, toasts, jam an nutella for breakfast was nice. There was also a supply of local olive oil and snacks which we loved. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Review 34:Wifi while available, did present some difficulty staying connected.
Review 35:I almost hate to rate this property as we would like to keep it our little secret...walking distance to authentic Italian restaurant, 3 minute drive to Alberobello, beautiful grounds, incredible people, and authentic trullo lodging. A visitor to Puglia couldn't ask for more. We'll be back.
Review 36:Shower was tiny but water pressure was good.
Review 37:Friendly, accommodating staff that spoke English. Location was slightly out of town on a lovely road dotted with Trulli. Clean, charming, well appointed suite with ample room for our two small children. Kitchen was stocked with dishes and supplies. Breakfast provided in room was abundant though mostly packaged fare. We would absolutely return!
Review 38:Breakfast was lacking fresh bread/excitement. Despite having to pre-notify time of arrival we were kept waiting for nearly half an hour before getting access to our room. Perhaps the owner's husband could have let us into our room, or offered us a drink, if she was delayed.
Review 39:Lovely location in interesting accommodation.
Review 40:Everything was fine. Just the AC working system we didn't understand really. It was quite chilly in the evening but the AC started to blow a warm air only in the late evening and night. They said it's automatic depending of the temperature but it felt like it was depending on the time not temperature.
Review 41:Trulli is a MUST experience and that one was located out from the city exactly like we wanted it. It was nice to have a breakfast outside. And it was very nice to get a small bottle of local olive oil.
Review 42:This is NOT a bed & breakfast. Breakfast is prepackaged croissants, make your own coffee, do your own dishes... no fresh products, no fruit,... Bathroom towels never replaced for 5 nights and not enough. Beds are not made. No cleaning during stay. Heating was not functioning well... It has a pool, but this one was closed...
Review 43:Location Nice trulli, authentic.
Review 44:Lack of WiFi but really this was not a major issue. Dreadful breakfasts - we got our own.
Review 45:Stunning countryside location and much better than staying in town. The Trulli experience was excellent and although out of season we found lots to do in the area and plenty of places to enjoy the brilliant local cuisine and wine. Alberobello is very very tourist driven & being in the countryside felt a lot more authentic. Other local towns are well worth a visit although they don't match the list of loveliest towns in Italy billing. I Trulli Del Nonno Michele is perfectly located to visit everyone in this region. Go to the local caves - they are awesome. There is a brilliant local restaurant just up the road from the Trulli - local honest hearty fare and extremely welcoming family hosts. We are very pleased that we picked this as a place to stay.
Review 46:Breakfast could be better, no fresh items, only prepackaged and assortment is rather limited.
Review 47:We loved the trullies and the swimming pool. The private area is very nice and well maintained. Every trully has its own terrace.
Review 48:No problems at all.
Review 49:Wonderful, quant little Trulli apartment with kitchen, double bed and bathroom. Only small but cosy and very comfortable with all the facilities you need. Our host left us with crisp breads, cherry tomatoes and olive oil and our breakfast needs. She also provided information on eating places and an up and coming event occuring in town which we enjoyed and would not have known about otherwise. The pool is great, good size and clean with hot and cold showers and plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas. A wonderful host and highly recommended.
Review 50:- Chairs in and outside the appartement are not comfortable, we picked to chairs from the swimming pool to solve the problem, this was no problem
Review 51:- We like the appartment, the Trulli gives a good feeling. - We like the swimming pool, so nice and pretty big with enough beds/chairs. - The women at the reception is very friendly - Residence can only be reached via a gate, gives secure feeling - Enough car park with sun protection
Review 52:We didn't like leaving!
Review 53:The authenticity of the structure, and the quaintness of the surrounding area. Our rooms/apartment were very nicely finished and decorated. Comisa, the owner, was so nice and helpful; her attention to detail in the apartment, and the "self-service" breakfast that was provided were perfect. The two local restaurants that she recommended served delicious local cuisine at very reasonable prices. The location of I Trulli Del Nonno Michele was near to Alberobello, but far enough away to allow for tranquility. We would highly recommend this accommodation!
Review 54:the B&B has a kitchenette so we can cook. it's great! the room is very comfortable with lovely "cone" roof, so cute! the air is so fresh as it is in the country side... we enjoyed being here very much!
Review 55:The only drawback is the availability of its staff. When we were there, the reception office was mostly closed and we had to make a phone callto contact the staff for any requirements which was a bit inconvenient.
Review 56:The resort is ideally located near Alberobello and is a nice place torelax and enjoy your holidays. Very clean and quiet.
Review 57:Shower tray is micro size and can afford a larger size as the room is very spacious
Review 58:Great hospitality. Magnificently furnished trulli. Really nice setting and the property is well looked after.
Review 59:Perhaps because of the time of the year, we were the only ones around. We would love to return in the summer when there are more guests, the reception would be more available and the pool would be open.
Review 60:Our stay here far exceeded our expectations. The tastefully designed surroundings and our beautiful, cozy trulli with a curtained alcove bedroom was quite romantic. Comasia came right away as soon as we arrived to greet us and gave us information on the surrounding area. We enjoyed a great meal at the ristorante only 300 m down the road. It was the perfect countryside get-away spot and provided easy access to exploring the area. We loved it!
Review 61:Apartment with modern bathroom and complete kitchen separate from the trulli-part with living area and double bed alcove. Very clean and spacious for a couple; warm in winter and with AC in summer. Close to Alberobello where there are so many more Trulli, but very privately and peacefully located in the coutnryside.
Review 62:The breakfast is too simple...
Review 63:Very quiet and peaceful area. Conveniently located, 10 mins drive to town centre by car.
Review 64:Kind staff, good location, good communication, everything were OK.
Review 65:Incredible restored trulli house - an authentic experience. Also a beautiful swimming pool.
Review 66:Very well renovated Trulli with beautiful pool in A lovely garden setting. Perfect retreat after a day of sight seeing in town
Review 67:Beautifully clean, well equipped, very helpful owner. Loved the Trulli roof. Full of character. Great pool. Liked restaurant 300 metres from hotel.
