Reviews for Luna Lughente

Review 1:Should it rain, then there is absolutely nothing to do at the hotel. No games room, no spa, no indoor pool or fitness centre, for example. A rental car is therefore essential. Despite its four-star rating, the hotel does not offer in-room coffee or tea-making facilities. There is also no room service menu or option to buy snacks (there is a supermarket nearby, however). The bar is a disappointment.

Review 2:The outdoor ‘infinity’ pool offers superb views of the Costa Smeralda coastline - a great spot in which to sunbathe and relax. Staff were friendly and helpful. Other plus points: good wi-fi; decent restaurant food; clean, comfortable rooms with a safe and mini-bar; complimentary pool towels.

Review 3:The hotel is a little remote - you definitely need to hire a car to explore the island. But the shuttle bus is perfect for the local beach and heading into Olbia.

Review 4:The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and did everything they could to accommodate us and our needs. From booking day trips, hiring a car, fun at the bar - they were fantastic. Sensational views.

Review 5:Very nice place to stay. Helpful staff, clean rooms with balcony and great location (only couple of minute drive to the beach or to the nearby Olbia). Also nice is the outside pool with really great infinity view.

Review 6:There was nothing, Initial I wanted a gym as I'm so used to working out daily but the pool, hills and yoga in our room was just enough to give me the break I needed

Review 7:Everything! I've never reviewed a hotel on here before as they have been ok, however this was exceptional. The staff, the clenssiness but the food was the oustanding and we eat out a lot. But some of the best sea food and steak we have ever eaten.

Review 8:The weather was poor - not the hotel's faul, of course, but a games room would have been appreciated.

Review 9:The location provided a fantastic view. The staff were brilliant.

Review 10:Prices in the restaurant are a bit expensive comparing to the restaurants prices in Olbia or other areas. But food and service were really great, so I can't complaint. We've read earlier some reviews that hotel was arranging local weddings every weekend which wasn't convenient for the hotel guests, but personaly we didn't have such experience as we stayed from Sunday to Friday.

Review 11:We have spent 5 nights in this hotel on our honeymoon. WONDERFUL views, lovely and spacious room with the balcony, overlooking Olbia port. Amazing pool with the spectacular views. Room was cleaned daily and towels were changed to the new ones every day as well as bed linen. Very friendly and helpful reception and restaurant staff. Daily breakfast with a wide choice of food. The hotel's present to our room was waiter's brought and served a complimentary bottle of wine for our honeymoon celebration, it was a really nice surprise ;) Forgot to mention shuttle service which was great (airport transfers, shuttle to Olbia and to the beach). We've also booked through the reception few excursions (all day boat trip around islands and an evening boat trip to watch dolphins) which were great. We've booked a table for a dinner at the hotel's restaurant, the food was amazing, especially fish dishes. As for the honeymoon this hotel was perfect! ;)

Review 12:Limited dining choices.Restaurant had excellent food and service, but would be expensive for every night dining and if you don't have a car you can't avail yourself of the towns offerings.Last shuttle back fr town 19.30.

Review 13:Friendly and helpfull staff, especially Luca and Cristiano the shuttle bus drivers and reception staff, who actually arranged a breakfast package for our early departure .Views absolutely amazing.

Review 14:Swimming pool was little bit too cold for many of people, but that didnt bother me.

Review 15:Verrrrry Nice place with an awesome view!!! Great location. Proffesional staff :)

Review 16:Hard beds and hard pillows!

Review 17:Restaurant was good with fair pricing. Hotel has a spectacular location but you definitely need a car. Hotel was very well maintained but past due for an update!

Review 18:The swimming pool is fabulous and the views were great! Breakfast was good, with many different kind of local honey to try. The staff were very nice and helped us everytime we needed it.

Review 19:Clean, quiet and professional staff. Would definitely recommend it but you have to have a car as its a bit far from Olbia although there's a free shuttle van to Olbia and Pittulungu beach. Very good food and Armando the manager (waiter) is a star!!!!:)

Review 20:Nothing going on in the evenings at hotel so had to get shuttle bus into town, downside of that last pick up was 7.30pm so couldn't make an evening of it.

Review 21:Loved the pool,the room,the views,staff were nice,very clean,breakfast was yummy,shuttle bus good.

Review 22:The reception staff don't know what a smile is. The beds are hard as rocks.

Review 23:Breakfast was better than other similar hotels we stayed at on Sardegna, better selection of everything. Close by car to the very coazy Pittulongo beach. Supermarket at walking distance. Nice pool area with an awesome view! Good wi-fi reception in most areas. The guys working at the restaurant are glad, humorous and service minded. Good food.

Review 24:Beautiful hotel, pool is stunning, the restaurant slightly underwhelmed and was relatively costly, ironically, one negative review we saw before booking was that the restaurant serves nothing but pizzas on a Monday night, I would say it was a shame they didnt offer them on any other nights, the restaurant might have had more people using it, and therefor perhaps have more atmosphere? The bar man is a legend, best Mojito ever, and such a genuine, smiley friendly guy, in fact all the staff were really nice. One other comment which stupidly didn't occur to us, the convenience of being a 15 minute shuttle from the airport does of course mean there is a fairly constant stream of planes landing and taking off, within earshot of the hotel but it really wasn't bad, and certainly wouldn't put me off going again, their shuttles to and from the airport, beach etc were a real godsend. Overall, very happy.

Review 25:Great hotel, very good staff. The surroundings are just beautiful, especially the swimming pool with the gorgious view on the seaside. Breakfast was amazing, large choice for all type of tastes. The restaurant offers a excellent menu!

Review 26:Wifi a bit hit and miss. We were there on a Sat when there was a wedding. Its not tranquil on these days and you cant get dinner in the restuarant that night also. Not a big deal for us:)

Review 27:Very clean bright and stylish hotel with super friendly staff and an awesome pool

Review 28:WiFi was very poor in the rooms Twin beds were single beds and not very comfortable, for the room rate one would expect at least twin beds and better quiality matressess. Hotel needs to be refurbished for the rates charged, have a very eighties feel

Review 29:The reception staff were excellent and very helpful The pool and views were amazing from the hotel

Review 30:They stop lunch too early and at breakfast there were too many people for two few tables near closing which was a problem. Shuttle into town was great but no shuttle back was a problem as taxis hard to come buy in peak season. Need more loungers by the pool.

Review 31:Very nice staff, quiet location, good food and nice rooms and pool. Elevated so breezy as well which was nice.

Review 32:Most staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful Definitely need a car as otherwise you spend a lot on taxis

Review 33:Amazing pool Comfortable room and facilities Good breakfast with plenty of options for all dietary needs The hotel minibus driver was really helpful and even dropped us off at the bus stop on the last day rather than the usual drop off point

Review 34:The price we were quoted on booking.com was 10% below the price we were actually charged by the hotel. We were never given a satisfactory answer as to why and it will mean we hesitate booking through the website again.

Review 35:Staff were brilliant and the views were incredible. Overall comfort and location of the hotel was great. The free shuttle helped out with the cost of visiting beaches and the town. A very relaxing spot for our honeymoon.

Review 36:Limited evening meal menu which is the same most nights.

Review 37:Staff very helpful and polite always willing to arrange trips/taxis for you. Hotel very clean including pool area. Beautiful views.

Review 38:Food was very disappointing overall. Only pizza was served on monday evening and no warm lunch on monday. Not 4*. Lots of screaming kids in the pool. We asked for a taxi and got a vip-service that was twice as expensive.

Review 39:Location is exellent. Good shuttle service. Friendly staff.

Review 40:Lovely views , super swimming pool with infinity views , excellent food in restaurant in evenings , charming helpful staff all round; organised day trips including shuttle services. Shuttle to beach as well , so no need of car on our perfect 5 day break . Close enough to airport to spend maximum time by the pool . Clean , modern comfortable superior room with excellent views and balcony .

Review 41:Unreliable wifi, difficult to watch anything online.

Review 42:Clean rooms, pleasant staff, excellent breakfast and free reliable shuttle service to airport/ Olbia/ beach. Although restaurant meals can be expensive if having 2/3 courses, this is to be expected from 4 star hotel in Sardinia, same goes for service charges. Staff are very committed and keen to please, very considerate and helpful, range of languages spoken. Good for families. Fantastic views from the pool and comfortable sunbeds. While a car is recommended to explore surroundings. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill and supermarket, frequent shuttle service offers good connection with town and public transport network. We also visited La Madellena via coach and ferry services.

Review 43:Improvement can be done for the staff in the reception in accommodating for questions and recommendations for transport, dining, directions as well as directions for the shuttle driver

Review 44:Friendliness of staff in Bar/Restaurant was great

Review 45:The shuttle service to town wasn't frequent at all. Even though it was easily booked by just requesting at the desk everyday, the last shuttle meant you were unable to enjoy the town at night and couldn't get back to the hotel without a taxi which were hard to come by. The lunch and dinner menu were the same everyday. Quite disappointing and meant us using the local supermarket a few times just to try and find something different to eat. If the shuttle service came back from town later this would not have been as much of an issue.

Review 46:everything is standard, no inspiration or creativity to be found

Review 47:the view from the pool is fine, the free sorbet at the pool at 4pm is a nice gesture, staff is friendly but in a mechanical way

Review 48:From the minute we arrived the service has been exemplary, the views are amazing and rooms comfortable. The food has been really good, with an incredible choice of food at breakfast.

Review 49:Bed and pillows could have been a little better but not bad my any means. The restaurant staff need a bit of an overhaul, the restaurant manager tries to do literally everything himself and is the only person that takes any orders. Most of the waiters struggled with basic English as well which made it hard sometimes. Less money needs to go into the fancy uniforms and more into training them to take orders and deliver menus promptly!

Review 50:The free shuttle service to and from airport as well as to the beach and town was great to have as most hotels in Olbia seem to be fairly isolated. Nice hotel to relax at, beautiful view over the pool to the sea! Nice food in the restaurant at dinner! Not sure that I'll return to Olbia but would definitely stay here again if I did.

Review 51:We had a car but if you didn't have one it would be quite a long walk to the beach or restaurants. Other hotels we stayed in during our holiday offered a free shuttle bus to beaches, but we didn't ask if Luna Lughente had this service, to be fair.

Review 52:The view from the infinity pool was wonderful! The suite was perfect and the breakfast choices varied and delicious. Reasonably close to Olbia airport so it was perfect for our first night or would be a suitable hotel for an early flight.

Review 53:Some unfriendly and unhelpful staff in dining area Shower flooded bathroom

Review 54:Facilities including pool Proximity to attractions View Friendly staff at front desk who were accommodating and were able to split beds for us and giv recommendations Free shuttle buses

Review 55:Need a car...limited hotel transfers available to local beaches .Cannot walk to local beaches or bars (main road).local bus every 40 mins. Wedding weekends ..Noisy (wedding guests have no access to pool though)

Review 56:Location and view, rooms. Infinity Pool small but perfectly placed for fantastic view.. The emerald coast and beaches..beautiful..balcony views Free transfer from airport..

Review 57:Everything was perfect for the 3 night stay I recently had with my sister. The staff are very friendly, the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced, our room was perfect and the facilities are brilliant. Fabulous infinity pool with 360 degree view. Supermarket and shops within a 10 minute walk - beach and restaurants within 30 minute walk. The road to the beach doesn't have a pavement so not advisable to walk after dark. We had the best holiday and will be back next year.

Review 58:Arranged to be taken to the airport hours in advance to catch the plane home and then staff tried to collect people from the beach instead who hadn't booked up to be collected. In the end common sense prevailed but we had a distressing 10 minutes arguing our case.

Review 59:The pool was fantastic

Review 60:The hotel was dead, no atmosphere at all. Hardly anyone in the bar in the evenings and no entertainment at all. We were there for 2 weeks eating the same food everyday as there was a very limited a la carte menu. The hotel kept saying that the menu would change but it didn't. Also very expensive for the quality of food served.

Review 61:Lovely staff and hotel is spotlessly clean. However, apart from lying by the lovely pool, there is nothing else there to do.

Review 62:Hotel is too far away from "other life" - there is a shuttle to Olbia and the Beach, but last drive back is around 7, so no time to enjoy the evening somewhere else - taxi was not easy to find

Review 63:The pool and the view is great, friendly and happy room cleaner, it was clean and calm. Shuttle works also good!

Review 64:Not much going on at hotel if you're looking for something more fun. dinner menu quite limited for choice. No snacks available throughtout the day ( although great waiter service to sunbed with drinks & olives/nuts) Wedding on the Saturday meant some areas were out of use for Hotel guests, we left on the Saturday afternoon so did not effect us greatly but can imagine it would others who were still staying. Although none of the above effected us 4 women on a girly break, just wanting relaxing time.

Review 65:everything was spotless & Clean. Room cleaned & fresh towels every day. Amazing views from pool & terrace. Very helpful staff. Brilliant & reliable shuttle service to lovely beach & centre ( just let them know at least an hour before needed, we booked time slots night before) Excellent breakfast. Great hotel if you're looking for a quiet break in a beautiful setting! Take the bus from centre up to Palou (5euro) for a boat trip around the Maddelena islands- amazing! We will return!

Review 66:The cost of taxi's back from the town in the evening.

Review 67:The view here is amazing & the pool really lovely. Breakfast was very good and fresh fruit was available every day along with cereals & yoghurt if you were not after the hot options. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided every day.

Review 68:If you don't drive there is not alot to do in the nearby vacinity, didn't see any buses either. There is a shuttle bus to take you to the beach or town centre available at reception but the times pick ups are two or 5 hours,Taxis are expensive. Menu didn't change apart from one evening where they had a pizza menu. But all in all really pleasant stay.

Review 69:The views are fantastic, the staff are friendly good value for money

Review 70:This hotel is not in the center of town. We actually found this to be a GOOD thing, but it is good to know before booking. Utilize the shuttle, the bus stop (a ten minute walk from the hotel) or taxis are easy to request.

Review 71:The best thing about Luna Lughente is the beautiful location. The hotel is on top of a ridge that overlooks a beach one one side, and the bay of Olbia on another side. The views are incredible! The Infinity Pool is perfectly situated, clean, beautifully landscaped, and quiet. We chose not to rent a car and literally sat by the pool the whle three days of our trip. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, with local specialties. The Maitre d, Armando, and his staff treated us wonderfully. Breakfast was plentiful, and overlooked the pool and the sunrise. Wifi worked everywhere throughout the hotel. Free shuttles to the beach or town, (if planned in advance) and free shuttle to and from the airport (must be requested two days in advance) made this the perfect trip for our anniversary vacation. We can't wait to return to Luna Lughente.

Review 72:The location of my room (108) and noise Wait staff service (completely ignored me) Menu options (1 night only pizza) Location in relation to other activities Limited service during weddings (there were 2 in the 4 days I was there)

Review 73:Pool Views Shuttle service

Review 74:The hotel isn't in a great location if you do not hire a car and taxis are very expensive. It is also a wedding venue so be prepared for lots of people and noise!

Review 75:The staff were helpful and friendly, the pool was fantastic with beautiful views.

Review 76:The hotel also caters for weddings and we were unable to have drinks or eat in the hotel during two of our 5 day stay! We were asked to have a drink sent to our room which we were charged €10 service charge for. The bed was so uncomfortable. One day we were told they had run out of still water, being 30 weeks pregnant in high heat this was not ideal! The hotel is not near anywhere and costs €20 there and back to the town. And so overall is an expensive unenjoyable place to stay!

Review 77:Breakfast was nice and room was spacious

Review 78:No shuttle to the city; hotel is a bit isolated from everything. A taxi to the city is expensive (€20) but you can go with the bus for €1,50 (the hotel provides the schedule).

Review 79:Stunning swimming pool with a beautiful view; good breakfast; free shuttle airport and beach; spacious room with a nice balcony (superior room); very good restaurant in the hotel and the staf was very kind

Review 80:We weren't able to get the shuttle from the airport as we only requested it 24 hours prior to arrival rather than 48 which we weren't aware was necessary, so finding our way was interesting but aside from that all was good! Due to the location, having a car would be beneficial as public transport finishes around 7pm during low season at least.

Review 81:The view from the hotel was beautiful from every angle - the breakfast room, dinner room and our own balcony. There was a wide selection for breakfast, dinner was delicious, the nearby beach at Pittulongu was lovely and despite the hotel's far out location (necessary for the view) there was a bus service running from the bottom of the hotel entrance hill to town, the airport and to the beach for only a euro or so. The fridge in the room was a welcome addition. We were made to feel very welcome.

Review 82:A little information in the rooms would be useful- where to get pool towels, shuttle times, local restaurants etc It would save constantly asking front desk!!

Review 83:Fantastic views both of the town and sea Excellent choice at breakfast Courtesy shuttle to town and beach Luca is brilliant, polite, helpful at all times

Review 84:Nothing !! Everything was perfect

Review 85:The staff were absolutely fantastic and the most helpful! They went above and beyond for us during our stay. The pool is gorgeous with a stunning view!! Couldn't ask for a better hotel

Review 86:Hotel is a little difficult to find, due to lack of signage on the highway and it's elevated location. Hotel sign can only be seen from one direction on the roadway.

Review 87:Sweeping panoramic views from hotel's elevated location, beautiful infinity pool affording dramatic views of the coast.

Review 88:Looks very unassuming from the road. A hidden delight !

Review 89:Great views, friendly helpful staff even though low season. Bright clean rooms with comfy bed and chairs and terrace. Excellent food in restaurant

Review 90:Our big issue was the location of the hotel - with a 1 year old it wasn't ideal. Yes the hotel is a stones throw from the supermarket, but to get there you need to walk down (and then back up) a steep hill and across a busy road with no path. The hotel offers a shuttle service to town and the beach but with no car seat for children. We decided to hire a car which worked well and was easy to arrange through the hotel - but this did bump up the price of our holiday. We needed a cot for our daughter which cost 16 euro per night to hire (if our daughter was older we could have had a bed included in the family room price!) Again this bumped up the price of the holiday. The hotel restaurant is convenient but very formal and expensive.

Review 91:The hotel was great, the staff were very helpful and due to it being the end of season it was nice and quiet (but still lovely and hot). Breakfast was included and we very much enjoyed it every day (apart from the wasps!). Our daughter very much enjoyed breakfast too - they have plenty of good quality highchairs available. The views from the hotel are impressive. The nearby beaches are very clean and quiet.

Review 92:- the breakfast is a little bit repetitive. - if you want to explore the island, a car might be necessary as the hotel location is on top of a hill (which provides the great view). - hotel restaurant was closed a couple of times.

Review 93:- the hotel restaurant - free shuttle van - the gorgeous view of the beach from the swimming pool - reception and restaurant service were outstanding, very helpful and friendly staff making sure our needs were well taken care of.

Review 94:On Saturday and Sunday they had wedding parties. Then ... ... all parking lots are occupied ... children stomping all afternoon and night on your ceiling ... music is unbearable bad ... bar is closed without anouncement

Review 95:Nice view Good pool Good breakfast

Review 96:Staying in the hotel is just a joy. The room was clean and confortable, the pool is amazing. The stuff speak English and the owner is very kind person and he personally helped us a lot. They also provide various services like excursions. The beach is 1 bus stop from the hotel and the hotel provides a shuttle bus to get there, but you have to book it. And there are no Russians there!

Review 97:The rooms look tacky and dated. The pictures on the website make it look MUCH better than what it is in reality. Breakfast food was good but not amazing. There were flies all over the cakes and breaks. This is not a 4 star hotel. It feels like a 2 or 3 star max! I would recommend it to any of my friends.

Review 98:Not too far from the city centre but you won't be able to leave the hotel without a car. Nice view from swimming pool Friendly staff

Review 99:To have a coffee in your room you are required to pay 10E room service fee (plus price of coffee). There is a fridge but for any hot drinks or to have anything from the hotel you must pay this charge. Shame, as to sit and have coffee on our lovely balcony would have been nice now and again. Maybe sneak a travel kettle along with you! Pool was a little cold - but this was seasonal, not the fault of the hotel.

Review 100:Very clean and comfortable, room was spacious, breakfast plentiful, staff polite and friendly, lovely view from deluxe sea view room that we had on the 2nd floor. We had a hire car and found this a reasonable base, out of town but accessible to the Emerald Coast, Olbia, Porto Rotundo, etc. The hotel was still well populated in late September when we went, and there were weddings at the weekends, always a good sign when locals use the hotel (but this may mean restricted use of the bar at these times - we went out in the evening so didn't use the bar)

Review 101:you can hear a lot of noise from upstair's room including toilet flushing, singing in the shower, high heels on tiles etc. but hey, that's in any hotel really. it def didn't spoil my stay.

Review 102:the beautiful views, extremely helpful friendly staff and the shuttle service. not sure why others complained about the shuttle service into town - the town is tiny and there isn't really anything worth staying for after 7:30pm. The staff were so lovely they even drove me to the bus stop for my ARST service - something they didn't need to do at all. Reception assisted with printing, stamps and even called my Australian mobile phone when I nearly missed my shuttle bus. the beach is beautiful and you can rent a lounge chair and/or an umbrella (or just be like a local with a spot on the beach), eat at the cafe/bar (reasonably priced) and there are toilet facilities. Can't ask for a better located hotel - close to the beach (although you can't walk the shuttle bus is hourly so there is no issue).

Review 103:Nothing major. Location - It is up some hills so not walking distance to the beach. Well we had a car so not a problem really. The pool is great and makes up for it - larger than most we've come across at hotels. Shower - couple times found the shower temperature maxed out at warm rather than hot. Probably just a busy time in the hotel.

Review 104:Location - close to Olbia for the airport (10-15min drive max), plus being up on the hills it has an amazing view of the city as well as the countryside. Local beach is only a couple minutes away by drive - car is a must as no footpath on main road (or use their shuttle service). Restaurant was lovely, excellent food, service and views. Aircon worked well, beds were clean and comfortable. WiFi was fast and free. Breakfast had the largest range we'd seen in Sardinia during our trip (even had some American stuff: Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Breakfast Sausages) Pool wonderful, clear and clean.

Review 105:If you don't use the shuttle bus or local bus then the local taxi's are 20/25 euros a time so try & share to cut the cost. Apart from that hotel was fab !

Review 106:If you're looking for a quiet holiday with fantastic views, helpful staff & clean & funky hotel then this is it. Agree that unless you have a car you will need to rely on shuttle bus to town & beach - but then it is a Porshe! We used the local bus that runs every 30 mins from bottom of hill - 5 min walk from hotel & 1 euro per trip. Views are superb & food in the hotel all excellent - both breakfast & evening meal

Review 107:The hotel is quite far out from the town centre so we drove into Olbia for dinner, although there is a shuttle bus although we didn't use it. The hotel is poorly signposted on the main road from Olbia to Pittulongu so we shot past it went driving there

Review 108:The swimming poolside amazing. The hotel is at the top of a hill just north east of Olbia so the pool overlooks down to the coast. The pool area is well kept, with plenty of sun loungers, parasols and grassy areas. The breakfast buffet included in the room price is brilliant, plenty of choice and variety. Staff friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Bedroom was generous in size, bed comfortable, nice balcony overlooking down to the port and town. We had to leave early on our last day before the breakfast opened, but staff kindly provided us with a packed breakfast we could pick up from reception.

Review 109:No tissues in room Poor air conditioner (had to leave it on all day to be effective) would have appreciated an option to eat dinner earlier

Review 110:Lovely pool Friendly staff Excellent cleaners Shuttle service very useful with driver a real bonus

Review 111:Service was excellent staff could not do enough to help you have and excellent stay food in the resturant was excellant view from the pool was wonderful and the sea view from the room made everything for a fantastic hoilday.

Review 112:Shuttle bus service could be improved from/to the Beach and into Olbia either with a bigger vehicle or by dropping the free pick up service from and to the Airport. It is very much appreciated of course, but normally one would not expect such a service. The taxi ride is only EUR25 anyway.

Review 113:The location, the service of the Bar and Restaurant; food was excellent. Lovely bright and airy Reception and Restaurant/Bar area.

Review 114:The shuttle bus timetable needed to operate a little later into the evening Due to the remote location you needed to rely on the shuttle bus or expensive taxis or a rental car The food in the evening restaurant was very mediocre. A better choice and quality would have meant we were less inclined to want to eat in town.

Review 115:Reception when we arrived Room was spacious Breakfast was fantastic Pool was beautiful Staff were friendly and helpful The shuttle bus facility & driver Jean Luc was excellent

Review 116:Wifi was intermittent and I would imagine, very difficult to access when the hotel is full to capacity - everyone seemed to be taking photos of themselves by the pool, so perhaps the result was that they were all uploading to social networking sites and stretching the wifi! You absolutely need a car. Although the hotel does provide shuttles to the city and airport at specific times (I think it was 3 times a day), when it is busy these fill quickly and to see anything of the area or visit any of the lovely restaurants or stunning beaches you really do need to drive.

Review 117:We were welcomed warmly on our arrival and the the staff were helpful throughout. When we asked for a later check out, this was no problem and at no extra cost, though cannot be guaranteed in the height of the season. We booked a superior room which was a good size, comfortable, light and airy with plenty of hanging space, Sky TV and black-out curtains and a large balcony. The breakfast buffet is plentiful. I over-heard someone else describe it as the best hotel breakfast they'd ever had which I'm almost tempted to agree with! The hotel has a lovely sized infinity pool with the most beautiful views out to the sea. A very relaxing way to spend a few hours! Do ask at reception for restaurant suggestions. We took up 3 of them and they were all fantastic! They really do know their area!

Review 118:The staff is nice but clearly not very well prepared. The furniture in the room is very ugly and old, especially for a deluxe room. The view from the rooms is not impressive.

Review 119:The swimming pool with panoramic view.

Review 120:Children. The hotel itself is not designed for children and with the parents wanting to relax and the children having nothing to do they were constantly noisy and seeking attention... Not considerate for those wanting peace and quiet Would have been perfect if it had been adults only which is what it appeared to be when booking

Review 121:Location was good close to beach and town with free regular shuttle daily Free transfers to and from the airport Good breakfast and food was excellent Infinity pool size and view were superb Room was clean Staff were all very helpful ask for Antonia :)

Review 122:Broadband poor, had to sit in lobby for reception. No English films, just news

Review 123:Top class service and exceptional food with guests from other hotels dining

Review 124:Read the reviews.. it is up a steep hill but this is the price you pay for the wonderful view. It isn't in a touristic resort where you can walk to quaint shops, but the free shuttle bus and a nearby shopping centre mean you can get out and about if you don't have a car. This isn't an international branded hotel and as such there are quirks such as a lack of information in the bar/ rooms but once you know what to expect this adds to the charm!

Review 125:This hotel is just lovely. 360 degree panoramic views; quality without grandeur; helpful staff who deal very well with a mixture of nationalities; lovely food; fantastic pool. We planned to use this as a base but were happy to stay here all week with little venturing outside! Highly recommended - loved it.

Review 126:The staff was friendly and helpful. The free shuttle bus from airport to hotel and back, to the beach or the city was wonderful. The hotel location is beautiful with a large infinity pool overlooking the city and ocean views. The breakfast buffet was large and delicious. We can't say enough good things about the restaurant: food is amazing, reasonably priced, large portions. The staff in the restaurant and bar are incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved our stay at Luna Lughente and would highly recommend staying here.

Review 127:Poor wi-fi, sky TV didn't work and beds were not that comfortable. Decor is dated.

Review 128:Excellent food in the restaurant and extensive breakfast buffet that was included with room rate. Waitstaff in the restaurant was very professional & attentive. Pool is great & has a gorgeous view. The shuttle to the airport & beach is free and very convenient.

Review 129:Wi-fi not working very well, but then who needs that when you have so much to see around...The pool water was a tad too cold during our short stay

Review 130:We loved everything about staying at Luna Lughente! That breathtaking panorama in the morning, while sipping that great cappuccino on the breakfast terrace, will stay with us for a long long time. Our room at the 1st floor also boasted a great view, overlooking Olbia port. The room itself was simply spotless, very confortable and spacious. The staff was very welcoming. Special mention to the bartender, whose creative cocktails made the perfect end of the day. we were overall very happy with the location of the hotel, secluded but still very close to the beach. Ourselves, we did not use the hotel shuttle and would definitely recommend car hire for the freedom of seeing as much of possible of Sardegna.

Review 131:Beds were not very comfortable, although large size. Nevertheless, the main disadvantage was total lack of support from the reception staff when it comes to guests leaving their towels at the early morning over the deck chairs of the swimming pool. On some days 90% of the chairs were covered with towels, with just one couple actually using them! No solution was given to this problem - the only answer was that this behavior was not correct but she needed to consult the management on what to do. When the same situation happened again, I heard the same answer... This should be clearly forbidden in 4-stars hotels and the guests should be supported against this type of pathetic behavior. Unfortunately, Luna Lughente doesn't act like a decent hotel in this aspect, which may be somewhat frustrating...

Review 132:Beautifully located, spacious and clean hotel. It has great swimming pool and stylish decorations. If you are fine with needing a car in order to get to some nice beach or town, this hotel is perfect for you. The restaurant food was delicious and the staff amazingly nice.

Review 133:There was not so many shuttle to the center and vice versa. I sent my request about the shuttle service from the airport 4 or 5 days earlier than the arrival date, but there wasn't any response (There was nothing in my email box even after I came back home.), so it seems to need to ask much in advance.

Review 134:The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was very accessible by shuttle to go to the beach. The view from the pool was fantastic.

Review 135:The restaurant is very expensive and the hotel is remote from anywhere else to eat, so we really wished we'd hired a car. The promised 'shuttle' is a 7 seater car, which does run to the beach and into Olbia, but there are no return journeys late at night from town - you are left to find your own way back. We had to pay 25Euros for a one way trip in a taxi arranged by the hotel - even to a beach restaurant which was just a seven minute drive (but too far to walk down the hill). Then 20Euros on the way back too! We also had to wait an hour for the shuttle bus at the airport as the minibus had to 'go to the beach first'. The ambiance and service in the bar area is pretty non-existent. You have to go to the bar to order anything (no-one ever approached us - or anyone else - if we sat at a table) and a disinterested member of staff usually seemed a bit annoyed they had to take your order at all.

Review 136:The hotel is in a beautiful location with a wonderful view of Olbia Bay. It is spotlessly clean and we had little trouble securing a sunbed around the fantastic pool which was unexpected and a pleasure.
