Review 1：Carpet in room not very clean Children allowed run riot in communal foyer area and running about corridors until very late at night banging doors and shouting I am not anti children but there should be some control . Have grandchildren and they would not be allowed act as some of the children were while we were there.

Review 3：On a two night stay, my room was cleared for departure after the first night. My wash bag was removed from my room. After two and a half hours, the following morning, it was still missing. They have promised to post to my home address. We will see.

Review 4：Well laid out. Complete control of room heating, nice and warm. Friendly staff and good food in the beautiful bar.

Review 5：The corridors to the bedrooms were grubby. The fire alarm was going of for an hour during the night and no apology or mention for the staff in the morning about it. Children running wild in corridors. Poor communication between staff and guests.

Review 11：The dinner advertised as shepherds pie was not shepherds pie but a savoury mince.It arrived , clearly microwaved as the tomatoe sauce in the dish had separated from the meat, the veg were of the frozen variety and the potatoes were reheated in the microwave too. The chips were of the frozen variety also. It was disappointing as everything else about the hotel was so nice.The manager on the night gave us a complimentary dessert which was lovely when we told him that the dinner was not as advertised and disappointing, after he asked if we enjoyed our meal.

Review 13：The last time we stayed with the kids we were accused of not paying for our meal which we had around 1 30 pm and this happened after 8 pm as we watched the male staff member eventually find the couple which hadn't paid we never heard sorry from the staff member only received dirty looks

Review 20：There were a lot of children running around the foyer and up and down the corridors, this made it very noisy. There was no entertainment or activities for the children so they were hanging around entertaining themselves. I was uncomfortable having a drink in the bar because it felt like I was drinking prosecco at a child's birthday!!!

Review 24：The staff were horrible. The manager was the only one that seemed to care about the place, the rest were rude, uninformative and one gentleman was even hostile. I left my stay early as a result. The room was not cleaned properly. It smelt. It was far out of the city. It was pouring rain when I left and they didn't offer any transfer options.

Review 61：The hot shower not functioning at our room. We try to off the heater in our room but cannot off. The staff promise to change our room if available but no feedback given. We called the taxi using hotel provided phone and the taxi charged us 8 Euro from the hotel to town which is quite unfair.

The out side needs a paint job and the down stairs rooms are nicer than up stairs as the last time i stayed the room was nicer and i was down stairs this time i was up stairs. the fact there was no blind on the window we had to close the curtains and the room got dark and We had to leave the lights on if we wanted any privicy.

Review 78：The shower in my room didn't work properly so no hot water. My mother was staying in a room next door and her shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold and hard to regulate. The bar food (as restaurant was closed on the Monday night we stayed) was poor. It was edible but you'd expect better from a hotel and it would appear stuff was reheated or made from frozen. The room was chilly - no heat on which surprised me for October. I went out at night and also had to sit on the bell before the porter eventually let me in. It's true that you get what you pay for - this was a bargain so I didn't expect five-star. However, I think things such as a properly functioning shower, a warm room and good food would make an enormous difference as the place has so much potential and fantastic leisure facilities. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't come here again.

Review 79：Reception desk very friendly. I got a 59 euro room rate with breakfast which is excellent value for a superb city like Kilkenny. Leisure facilities lovely - pool warm so good for babies/toddler.

Review 84：As we entered our room we were greated with damaged and dangerous furniture, A cracked bathroom sink, damaged and dirty tiles in and around the bath, filthy windows with a snail on the inside and no batteries in the tv remote. I pulled back the tight made bed sheets to find filthy used stained sheets with hair and flakes of skin still there from the previous guest. I went to call reception and the phone broke away in my hand. It was like a wind up. I called the on duty manager who came down and start laughing at the state of the room and tried fob us off saying this was the old part of the hotel which needed renovation. We were moved to another room less dirty equally as shabby reluctantly stayed one night got a refund and checked into another hotel for the remainder of the weekend. The website is a gross misrepresentation of the actual hotel. Very dissatisfied with booking.com recommending this standard for €130 a night

Review 85：Leaving this hotel as soon as we could for another hotel was the only part I enjoyed. I would compare the rooms to that of a run down hostel. Almost ruined our weekend.

The young blonde girl working in the restaurant was very good. She noticed us sitting there with empty plates for 15mins and came over and asked us about dessert. There were 3 men working in the restaurant and they were just talking to eachother behind the bar during most of our meal. Very disappointed with the restaurant. Hotel room was fine but bath tub had someone else's hair in it. Overall, we will not be returning to this hotel.

Review 120：The rooms are appalling and filthy with mould growing on the bath. We couldn't check in until 4 even though the hotel wasn't full. And we were greeted at 7.30 am with hedge trimmers and lawnmowers outside our window and incredibly noisy housekeeping staff arguing outside the door. The place is a dive. I couldn't be more disappointed.

Review 122：We were excited to book a spa for such a reasonable price and decided despite the distance from town to book (A bit too far to walk into town and back more than once especially with luggage 30-45 mins walk). it needs a bit of care as some fixtures in the bathroom were rusty and did not fit in with the image of the hotel. Water was lukewarm on hottest setting at night, but was hot in morning.
