Reviews for Hotel Vittoria

Review 1:Somewhat inadequate soundproofing. Breakfast buffet a little disappointing and breakfast staff grumpy. Garage parking only for 5 cars otherwise on street with a paper from hotel.

Review 2:Excellent beds in renovated rooms. Reception staff excellent. Location right in centre of town.

Review 3:My room was very small and nothing like the pictures. It was very noisy, right next to the stairs and utility room

Review 4:Beautiful hotel, convenient location, friendly staff, great value for money.

Review 5:Booking.com's advice on how to reach hotel from railway station was completely wrong. The location of the hotel was correct, but your website assumed we would leave station on the side of the tracks which had no exit, then walk back across a busy road bridge (over the railway). There's a direct route (on foot - we'd arrived by train) from the station along a pleasant tree-lined avenue

Review 6:Hotel, room, and staff were all excellent - faultless recommendations for places to visit, and restaurants (hotel's was closed for renovations, which we were advised of in advance). Each restaurant was un-self-consciously Italian, good food, good service.

Review 7:Friendly helpful staff, good location for the centre, quiet and peaceful, good breakfast, private locked parking, good wifi. Spacious room, comfortable bed.

Review 8:Nothing

Review 9:Rooms were large & comfortable. OK our room didn't have a great view (I don't think any rooms did but what do you expect in a town centre hotel. Staff were excellent & we could ask for more help.

Review 10:There was a bath with a shower attachment but the higher position holder was loose and the screen door didn't close properly - so a bit of mopping up needed!

Review 11:Great location and very nice room. Comfy beds and lots of extra pillows. Nice breakfast. very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money!

Review 12:The jacuzzi tub wasn't working and the view into the inner courtyard was not very nice.

Review 13:The front desk staff were wonderful as were the breakfast staff. The girl from Chile who checked us in was so helpful. Our TV wasn't working, she came herself to check it and we ended up changing rooms. The gentleman at the front desk in the morning was just as nice.

Review 14:The wifi signal in the room could be weak at times.....but not all the time.

Review 15:All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The free use of the hotel bicycles was an added bonus.

Review 16:Very near to Faenza town center, also not too far away from train station. The single room is small yet very comfortable and elegant. Worth the price even without a discount. 24hr staff.

Review 17:Shame we didn't know that the hotel bar and restaurant were closed in July and only one resto in town open on a Sunday evening.

Review 18:Shabby chic, boutique hotel, eclectic mix of styles works to make a charming atmosphere

Review 19:The key/lighting connection… you can only turn on lights once you've entered your key card into the slot.

Review 20:The attentiveness of desk clerk, the restaurant, location, and architecture/design. Great buffet breakfast.

Review 21:Nothing to dislike. Only minor quibble was that in the restaurant my wife's main course was served with my starter leaving me to eat my main course on my own!

Review 22:Excellent location in centre of a classy town. Perfect base for visits to nearby Ravenna, Brisighella, etc. On several rail routes. All hotel staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast choice adequate. High quality restaurant. We will definitely return.

Review 23:Had good memories from our first stay, so we decided to visit again this trip. Had our older mothers traveling with us, and worked out very well. Had dinner in hotel very good and convenient.

Review 24:access by car is quite difficult, the road is one way and finding your way with a car can be difficult

Review 25:The hotel décor the staff the room the café the relaxing feel of the hotel

Review 26:My room not really ****

Review 27:Art nouveau place in centre of town - particularly fine ceilings in downstairs area. Room OK, but glad I got a cheap rate. Good breakfast and good reasonably priced lunch.

Review 28:Having to leave.

Review 29:Everything was lovely, a charming, elegant hotel. Based in the centre of Faenza it's the ideal place to stay. Breakfast was good and a very friendly lady replenishing the food/plates when necessary. My family live nearby so very convenient for bus and trains.

Review 30:Nothing to dislike about this Hotel.

Review 31:The room was stunning, very elegant. Clean bed linen every day and cleaned to a high standard, couldn't ask for more. Staff very helpful, pleasant and willing to help. Breakfast was very good and a lovely lady replenishing food/dishes when necessary, I'm sorry I don't know her name but she had a lovely smile. I have stayed here before as I have family nearby and it is very central. Cant wait for my next visit very soon

Review 32:I loved faenza, it is quite small but enough to stay quite and havingfun. Hotel is located in Faenza, very close to bars, restaurants andcircus. Hotel has a good gourmet restaurant inside , little bitexpensive but good selection of wines (about 20-30 Euro ea) Rooms areincredible big and old fashion, I simply recommend this hotel..Of coursethe breakfast buffet was good! Even when you have a car to be parkednearby hotel is easy, they will give you a special park ticket free :)

Review 33:Nil

Review 38:Location was excellent and the possibilty to borrow bikes was great. Good breakfast

Review 39:I stay regularly at the Vittoria - a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Review 40:I would like the parking space to be located in the hotel.

Review 41:Close to downtown,nice room,excellent breakfast!!!!!

Review 42:Poor wifi, If you let daylight in, the AC stops

Review 43:Style of the hotel

Review 44:Great hotel and friendly staff - recommended

Review 45:Ghost Town

Review 46:Wonderful staff everywhere. Free parking & excellent location. Beautiful patio.

Review 47:Nothing. The hotel was superb.

Review 48:The spaces for breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner; the decor in the shared spaces; the overall atmosphere.

Review 49:room on top floors not very soundproof

Review 50:Rooms are beautiful and restaurant is elegant.

Review 51:Decor of bedroom a bit garish.

Review 52:Bathroom lovely. Good size bedroom

Review 53:Very old facilities, furniture style from the 80es

Review 54:Central Location, friendly stuff, breakfast was ok

Review 55:Location cleanliness and comfort. And finally top restaurant!!!

Review 56:Bedrooms are not as beautiful as the common places.

Review 57:Perfectly located, very beautiful and charming lobby and restaurant.

Review 58:Great location close to the main square. Fantastic large room, full sky tv, nice breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Review 59:Beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast and friendly staff

Review 60:No mirror in the room - only bathroom. Not a big issue, would be nice to have.

Review 61:Location very good, room lovely, staff very friendly and good food.

Review 62:The staff was very nice and helpfull... The food amazing!

Review 63:Would love to return!

Review 64:parking is difficult

Review 65:breakfast, location

Review 66:the room was a bit small but very good value for money

Review 67:well located, beautiful hall and restaurant premises

Review 68:Mattress needed a modern cover.

Review 69:Size of room, friendly breakfast staff.

Review 70:Not much good to say about this hotel. Poor quality bedroom fittings and awful decorative style - accessed by walking along very grubby hallway and narrow passages over an ancient, garishly striped carpet. Room we had was like a prison cell with very small window. The ac has to be authorized by the desk - as if you aren't to be trusted to know how to use it. It all adds up to a thoroughly unpleasant stay.

Review 71:Not much to like. Wifi was good and bathroom OK

Review 72:very nice hotel. staff were friendly. rooms are of a good size & very clean. breakfast was excellent which you eat in the restaurant f/m, where i ate a very good meal in the evening, which was very reasonably priced. there is the added bonus of using a hotel bike to tour around faenza.

Review 73:The room was too warm at night. The soaps and creams in the bathroom were just enough. The bath had jacuzzi which we were not able to active. Overall,we were expecting more for a 4 stars hotel.

Review 74:Good breakfast and staff helpful.

Review 75:Staff were very friendly and I was able to borrow one of the complimentary bikes to travel around the town on. Breakfast was nice - fresh fruit, pasteries, yoghurt etc and the waitress made hot drinks on request.

Review 76:Lovely hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room made for pleasant stay. Very central and accessible by foot to all of the idyllic old town of Faenza. Close to bars and restaurants.

Review 77:Nothing!

Review 78:Staff were polite, excellent in English language. Food delicious for dinner and although I only itdered a main course was given little free 'tasters' of starter and dessert. Your Breakfast was the best I had all week through France and Italy. Well done everyone! Highly recommended.

Review 79:-breakfast, I expected better in a four star hotel! -loud music (daily) coming from the restaurant in the hotel until about one o'clock in the night, not very pleasant when you want to sleep!

Review 80:-atmosphere in the hotel, authentic -near to the old centre -pleasant and comfortable room -good restaurants nearby -nice shops

Review 81:Location with no easy parking. No help at all with bags. Tight elevators long tight corridors. Very old rooms terribly maintained very slow Internet Don't recommend this place for anyone unless you like to waste your money on a old dated hotel

Review 82:Nothing worth liking

Review 83:A bit hard to get to with streets recently closed off

Review 84:Architecture Ceramics collection Breakfast room..beautiful Helpful with parking Close to International Museum of Ceramics

Review 85:I would have liked real glass in the room not plastic and suggest some Italian biscuit or salty crackers in the room within the bar Also a newer version of phone and indication in the room on how to access wi fi

Review 86:Very relax and helpful atmosphere , in terms of design and architecture the entrance , lobby, restaurant and interior garden are spacious , beautiful great to sit in . There is an ongoing exhibition of the local ceramist artists which is a great start to visit them afterwards . They offer bicycle for free to wander around .Faenza is very safe to cycle and a lot of people do. I was suggested excellent restaurants and trattoria .the morning buffet breakfast was extensive

Review 87:Standard rooms can be small. Overall, not quite up to the standard of some other 4* hotels we have stayed in, but still very nice and would go there again.

Review 88:Pleasant, friendly staff. Beautiful room (junior suite) with high, painted ceilings - and lots of frescos in lobby and dining area. Good breakfast.

Review 89:breakfast was just ok ; very little choice of bread , but i guess this is usual for Italy. When sleeping at front side with open window, you need to be OK with locals chatting on the pavement till middle of the night.

Review 90:very friendly staff, great combination with bar and resto attached ,the food was excellent, great wifi service. The location of the hotel allows you to explore the beautiful typical town . i would go back immediately :)

Review 91:Breakfast is definitely lackluster!

Review 92:(We especially liked the booking.com price...30 Euro cheaper than wewere quoted by the desk clerk!) This has been one of our favorite hotelsin Faenza town for many years. Great location for ceramic shopping inthe town. The rooms with the frescoes are wonderful, but are notavailable at the cheaper price, of course.

Review 93:The room doors need to be better acoustically insulated.

Review 94:Clean, comfortable and a wide choice of amenities. The breakfast buffet had high quality food.

Review 95:garage very small, unless very skilfull at parking in tiny spaces not nice.

Review 96:beautiful hotel most general spaces had beutiful tiled floors and painted ceilings, good location.

Review 97:The corridor on the second floor was decorated bizarrely with dark reds and a kind of zebra skin carpet. I wasnt mad about the decor but it's not a major thing.

Review 98:fantastic staff, the girl on reception was so welcoming and there was no rush at breakfast. the maids were friendly too. Very relaxed atmosphere. We've stayed at this hotel 11 years ago and would stay here again. The Ceramics room was a great idea and encourages you to spend more time in Faenza, which is a great little town. If you are into ceramics visit Carla Lega's shop on Corso Mazzini 74c. the breakfast was nice and the parking in the hotel garage is only 100 metres away.

Review 99:We did not like the Junior Suite we booked ! We got moved to a moremodern room which we liked.

Review 100:Good central location. Excellent staff on reception !

Review 101:This was a very good choice for us. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. The room was huge with a great high ceiling, all very old fashioned but with lots of drawer and wardrobe space plus a modern fully tiled bathroom where everything worked. Italy is not known for its breakfasts but at least I had my boiled egg, ham and cheese with lovely rolls and super coffee. Location was ideal - just fifty paces from the main square. The hotel offered private parking nearby at 8 euro a day or they could give you a permit to park in the smaller square at 1 euro but frankly, you could do as we did and walk five minutes back from free roadside parking near the museum. All in all it was a good one.

Review 102:Having to leave!

Review 103:Great staff, great restaurant, great room, great location. Does it get any better?

Review 104:Central location, value for money

Review 105:difficult to park

Review 106:not attractive card at restaurant i chose restaurant outside

Review 107:Being in a room where Carducci slept some 140/150 years back! Does not happen every day and in many hotels!

Review 108:renovation which we did not know at booking

Review 109:rooms comfortable

Review 110:friendly staff air conditioning very clean

Review 111:Not enough information about breakfast and how it works what isavailable etc

Review 112:I loved the welcoming very helpful staff.

Review 113:The Room, the bar and the restaurant and its chef. A great experience

Review 114:Center of Town, close to my Family

Review 115:the service

Review 116:the room

Review 117:Complicated tv set

Review 118:Very comfortable room.Good brekfast

Review 119:It was a very beautiful hotel with frescos and paintings. The staff was excellent and very nice!! We will stay again..
