Reviews for Trulli e Puglia Resort
Review 1:A slice of life in a Trulli facility. Comfortable, lots of space and fabulous bathroom. Very helpful managers. Made several restaurant suggestions and helped with reservations.
Review 2:The staff were so friendly and helpful. Excellent service at breakfast and as much coffee as we wanted. Both receptionists were really helpful arranging travel and transfers. Excellent restaurant across the small road. L'Aratro where we became regulars!
Review 3:There being no public transport on a Sunday. But that's down to the government.
Review 4:We loved the trullo - so different from any usual accommodation. The staff were more than helpful in every respect. Good breakfast, beautiful place, good restaurants what more could you ask.
Review 5:Trulli we booked was much better than one we got, our have had bad smell, we had extra room we didnt ask for and our room was way too small , bed uncomfortable, bathroom without necessary thingd, bath tub terrible ( 3 different shapes in one bath tub so I fell for the first time in my life) slipery, towels insuficient, breakfast in local cafe so so. In one sentence , this accommodation is far bellow our expectations, rating and very highly priced for what it offers.
Review 6:Location was very good, trulli as an idea for acommodation is great, terass for a real trulli view was great
Review 7:the lights for the accommodation were for some mysterious reason all located in the bathroom. also, the bathroom vent automatically turned on with the lights, and the vent was not working properly, causing an excruciating squeaking noise each time the light was lit! also, the lights in the rooms were very dim, difficult to see and read after dark.
Review 8:anna, the agent at Trulli e Puglia Resort, was extremely helpful and competent. she even came along with us so as to help us find the property, which was a bit difficult to find by car, since it's located in a pedestrian section of the village. the room was adorable, clean and wifi was strong. it also included a kitchen.
Review 9:The hotel is located in the unique and picturesque town of Alberobello .The Hotel is beautifuly designed clean and very unique . The rooms are spacious and also the bathroom . The host Mimmo is cordial and courteous generously hosted us and helped us in all sorts of technical affairs . Wonderful breakfast and great service from all employees . Excellent location excellent hospitality excellent hotel
Review 10:nothing
Review 11:Very close to the city center and the beach. Sinisa is very helpful and knows the surrounding regions well, offering good value trips to Kotor Bay and BiH.
Review 12:No hot water or free wi fi in the room! We reserved a room with two big beds, but the lady took us to a small double room, after we protested and showed her the printed version of our booking(luckily we took it with us), we got our reserved room as I had seen on the Net!
Review 13:The day when we checked out, the lady at the reception with glasses was very kind, she helped us to arrange transfer to the train station, and she callled for us(as we didn't have a mobile phone) to confirm our next appartment.
Review 14:All good
Review 15:The Trulli houses are an amazing site and to have been fortunate enough to stay in one of this high standard was a real experiamce! We enjoyed our 4 days in this lovely part of the world, Mimmo and all the staff were excellent, the private tour he gave was outstanding and breakfast was very nice with friendly staff looking after you.
Review 16:Nothing. We enjoyed every minute of it. The Trullo we stayed in (Aurelia) was well kept and very clean. Very romantic..
Review 17:Very nice set up. Well organized and outstanding service from Anna and Dorian who take pride in what they do and ensure every that phase of the stay is a pleasurable one.
Review 18:Very friendly personal (many thanks to Doriana) We stayed in an very nice traditional stone trullo with a conic roof ( please be aware that not all trullos has one) In the historical center.
Review 19:The bathroom which is great for those in wheelchairs is a bit uncomfortable for those not in chairs. The mirror is too low and slanted and the toilet is too high and the shower has no walls (it's just one open shower in the one bathroom so water gets all over the entire bathroom which makes the whole floor wet and slippery. It was a bit dangerous walking down the ramp into the bathroom after someone showered as you could easily loose your footing on the slanted wet floor. Needs a divider or a squeegee to clear up all the water. The kitchen also doesn't have any knives or cutting boards so it's hard to cut bread and cheese or apples.
Review 20:Anna at check-in was very helpful and friendly. We loved the heated tiles in the Trullo which made it comfortable to walk on the floor even though it was cold outside. The beds were comfortable and we loved the high ceilings. The well in one of the rooms was a great way to see how people lived in these Trulli years ago. Loved the doors that opened at the middle so you could get light in the rooms and the patio out back. It was a great stay!
Review 21:Not all the trulli are the same and I'm sure the own more sophisticated ones but the one we got needs to be a little bit updated
Review 22:Staff very friendly
Review 23:Unfortunately - it turned out to be a real nightmare: upon arrival I called as instructed - but both numbers were directed to an answering machine... And then - although the old & Tiny air condition was working on its full capacity - the Trullo was frozen, and I was shivering cold even though I slept fully clothed under the covers! In the morning I found out there was no hot water to take a shower. I've called the reception and a nice old lady came, turned on and off all electricity switches she could find, promised that in 10 minutes I'll have hot water and that she would be back to make sure that it really worked - and vanished No hot water, nobody to answer further calls to the reception or to resolve the problem - and when I've checked out I was unhappy and shared a piece of my mind with the young lady who took the money and the key - but she didn't seem to be impressed... What a waste of potential!
Review 24:Located in the heart of the touristic part of Alberobello, on one of the most visited streets, this trullo had the potential to be "great". Several days before the due-day, I was sent a nice informative email explaining that the street is not accessible to vehicles, and that upon arrival I should call either the reception or the owner's cell-phone and he will meet me and indicate where to park (and help with the luggage). Wonderful.
Review 25:Middle center of the world unesco village of truli. We had a nice trulli with all comfort. And... they have a parking ! Nice people there. Helpfull and friendly. Good breakfast.
Review 26:Signage for check-in office could be improved.
Review 27:I asked for help online to help find the property and rec'd terrific instructions. We arrived on a special celebration weekend but despite the crowds managed to find our way without too much difficulty. The trulli was "truly" outstanding and a great experience. Staff throughout and at the breakfast bar were terrific, very friendly and helpful.
Review 28:There did seem to be a few issues with the wifi - mostly with passwords being reset or something. Anna, the receptionist who staffed the office a few doors away, was so helpful. She actually walked over to the trullo with us to make sure we were ok with getting the wifi set up on our phones. We had dealings with four different staff members for the B&B and every one of them was genuine, personable and accommodating. I would say breakfast was acceptable; there is a little coffee shop on the corner that serves breakfast to guests of Trulli e Puglia. Of the four places we stayed on this trip, the breakfasts here were probably the most simple. A couple of words on safety. My husband is tall and the doors in the trullo are short. On several occasions, he bonked his head on doorframes. More importantly, there is no shower surround in the bathroom. (This is part of the handicapped accessibility setup.) The morning that my husband took the second shower, he didn't use the floor mat to dry the floor and sloped entrance ramp. Then a few minutes later, he went back into the bathroom and slipped on the sloped floor and fell down quite hard. It's really lucky that he didn't get seriously hurt. There isn't any problem with the bathroom setup AS LONG AS YOU DRY THE FLOOR AFTER YOU SHOWER.
Review 29:We stayed in Trullo #5, which is literally two doors from the main pedestrian tourist street in Alberobello. It was convenient to everything and still quiet, since there are no vehicles in the area. The home was beautifully appointed, with a little kitchen, dining table, two beds and a handicapped accessible bathroom. The trullo has a nice little patio in the back and really lovely lighting touches. Like the well in the bedroom that is lit from inside. (The owner said it was the bedroom he shared with his brother growing up and that they actually used the well when he was a kid.) When we arrived, we got to have a limoncello tasting (and wine, and crackers, and cookies and...) at the owner's store a few steps from our trullo. It was so much fun. Francesca poured flavor after flavor and kept plying us with treat after treat. Unlike most tastings we went to in Southern Italy, we felt absolutely NO pressure to buy anything. We did buy a few things but it was because we wanted to, not because we felt compelled to. Francesca just made it so much fun to keep trying new flavors. You couldn't ask for a better location in Alberobello. The trullo is just beautiful inside. Because of the low door frames, I'd have to say I was considerably happier with the trullo than my husband was. But I think this would be an issue in any trullo. If you are very tall, you will just have to be careful in the interiors of Alberobello.
Review 30:The bed was not very comfortable and breakfast was very basic. Dropping off car park keys took a long time.
Review 31:The parking was not too far away. The accommodation was in the heart of Alberobello and the experience of staying in a Trullo is something different from run of the mill hotels. Staff were very friendly.
Review 32:We loved the trulli! It was clean, nicely decorated, smelled nice, quiet and cool! The staff were very helpful and we were able to park our rented car nearby. It was so nice to experience living in such a unique building. Would highly recommend.
Review 33:Everything! The service was just excellent! The owner met me at the train station, offered a welcome drink, helped with advices of the best places to eat and go out! Every time I saw him he asked how I'm, if everything ok etc.. He also found a solution to go to another city, wrote a plan and best places in other cities! Just perfect stay! And Alberobello is a dream-town by itself!
Review 34:Lovely trullo with unbelievably spacious room and bathroom, right in the heart of the trulli district. Helpful staff that gives detailed driving instruction and travelling suggestions beforehand. Excellent wifi.
Review 35:The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, checked the train times for us and gave advice about the local attractions. The trullo was very well fitted with modern bathroom and air conditioning, but without losing its heritage and character.
Review 36:The accommodation was roomy enough for two people and very clean. We were invited for tastings of regional wines and foods. In a fantastic location. Parking for a car. Breakfast was around the corner in a bar which was fine. Wifi was only available in the reception area which was next to the bar. Not a problem for us as we had our own connection.
Review 37:What is not to like!!
Review 38:We absolutely enjoyed our trip to Alberorello. It is such a picturesque little town. The friendliness an enthusiasm of the staff were exceptional. Overall an extremely pleasing experience.
Review 39:Tasting welcome (at their shop) was a bit rushed. Stella was knowledgable but we felt like we were in a production line. Had travelled all day so should have waited until the morning. Basic Breakfast behind the bar could've been a problem if raining as we had to walk around the road to get there.
Review 40:Location was excellent - good advice to get car to the top of the Trulli resort (by the church) and then ring the office. We had parking (close by and worth it!) and were able to walk everywhere. Get a Superior Trulli (minimum0 as was lovely to have a lounge for more room. English speaking staff a bonus.
Review 41:Did a tour of Aberobello with Mimo, it was excellent! It was the highlight of our trip and recommended him to friends also staying in the area.
Review 42:Nothing not to like.
Review 43:All of it.
Review 44:Cosima has been an amazing host. The location is incredibly beautiful and I would absolutely repeat the experience !
Review 45:Trullo was very nice. I was offered to choose between 2 trulli!

Review 55:Loved the position, staff and the trullo was beautiful. Would definitely go back.
Review 56:Fridge needs replacing in no 5
Review 57:Location, ambience, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
Review 58:Wifi a bit weak. Breakfast could be more varied
Review 59:Everything else, the place gorgeus, staff does walk the extra mile

Review 79:Beautiful trulli, very spacious and with a fab patio area. All staff were so friendly and concerned to make our stay enjoyable
Review 80:Location excellent, cozy trullo in the main street. Great staff and breakfast.
Review 81:WIFI did not work in house but worked in hotel reception. House and bathroom very small which is typical of that style of house.
Review 82:Location right in the main street of the Trulli houses. Walking distance to everything. Recommend paying for car parking - very close and convenient.
Review 83:"The fairytale atmosphere". We enjoyed everything. It was a fantastic experience. A really nice trullo with nice patio. Quiet at night. Great facilities.
Review 84:Located in a no traffic zone in Alberobello, we called upon arrival as instructed in their pre-arrival email. We were directed to a free parking area on the street. Staff was very helpful with luggage and maps to the area. Our Superior Trulli #48, was in a tiny street in the middle of the historic town with little tourist traffic. Typical trulli construction outside, cozy and modern inside, with a queen bed, compact kitchen, living/ dining room and a lovely outside patio. Breakfast in the corner cafe was nice for people watching. Mimo was a great host. We loved the area so we decided to extend out stay another night. Wi-Fi worked fine. Mimo only has 8 trullis, so book in advance.
Review 85:Everyone we met connected to this resort was fantastic, couldn't have asked for more. Cooking with Mamma was definately a highlight of our travels.
Review 86:no balcony and small window due to the traditional architeched style, so i feel it not well ventilated in someway.
Review 87:Spacious room with 4 beds that suitable for at least 4 people, which we should not had booked 2 rooms and it 's really a waste. The room has kitchen and family-style deco make it feel warm.
Review 88:Wifi in the room didn't work.
Review 89:The location of the trullo I stayed is right in the center of the town. Easy walk to restaurants, shops, and other trulli area. The staff was nice and arranged the transfer for me to the station as I had a huge luggage.
Review 90:It was an amazing one day stay at Trulli a Puglia. Located just ın the center of a lively location. Alberobello is itself a fantastic town. Mimmo greeted us and gave all the necessary information for Alberobello. Though the weather was a little bit chilly for May, we found a well heated trullo. It was clean comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast, which we had at the bar in the corner, was good, One should have this experience at least once in a lifetime. Thank you Mimmo and the rest of the staff.
Review 91:Bit noisey for the curtain decoration made from metal hitting the entrance door when it is windy during the night.
Review 92:It was an amazing room with reception and bedroom for only one person. And the value for money isexcellent! Staffs were very friendly. I defnitively want to come back to Alberobello and use the same hotel.
Review 93:no wifi in trullo (although available in nearby bar)
Review 94:separate sitting area with comfortable chair; very close but quiet street; well maintained; comfortable bed
Review 95:I have been traveling for almost three months now, have stayed in many hotels, and none come close to offering the service you receive at Trulli e Puglia. They were all extremely friendly and informative. You can't do better than this is Alberobello.
Review 96:Despite claims, wifi did not work in the room and you have to use parking on the street which, although it seemed safe, means the car is not near the hotel
Review 97:Very good service and excellent views over the harbour from the hotel
Review 98:Ceiling of the room is high, it is easy to spend. Staff were very friendly, parking is very safe. Breakfast is delicious. The best for extended-stay travel.
Review 99:loved everything
Review 100:We had the most incredible stay here! We were traveling with our 1 year old and with friends who were also traveling with young kids and the accomodations were fantastic- the kids never wanted to leave the trullos!! Mimmo and his staff (Antonella, Ana Maria, Stella, and brother Lorenzo) were all fantastic and we truly (trulli?) felt like family. We will most definitely be returning!
Review 101:The receptionist was v helpful and friendly. She showed us the car park and helped with luggage. The trullo was spacious, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was great and staff so friendly.
Review 102:It's a lovely place, friendly staff and comfortable. Every housejust for you(even one people), and you can own a lovely outdoor(we havea wonderful and quiet night)
Review 103:The breakfast was a bit basic but there are so many nice places to drink coffee it doesn't really matter.
Review 104:Very pretty village with lots of history and amazing architecture to see. The girls did brilliant wine and snacks tasting when we arrived and were very helpful and fun.
Review 105:The breakfast coffee shop is a little small for the number of peoplestaying there.
Review 106:It was great to stay in one of the classic houses of Puglia. Alberobellois very picturesque and easy to walk around. Driving is more difficultbecause of winding roads and pedestrian only streets. The hotel staffcame with us to help us park. It was worth the money to get privateparking. The roms were good sized with a kitchen. Breakfast was typicalItalian with meat, cheese, and pastries which were great and coffee.
Review 107:It was great to stay in an authentic trulli building right in the heart of everything. Staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and courteous . Could not fault anything.
Review 108:The toilet was in the shower.
Review 109:We loved having our own little trullo! It was spacious, very clean, well-decorated and had all we needed in the kitchen. Loved having our own private terrace overlooking other trulli. Staff was welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful with all of our inquiries.
Review 110:The Trulli are spectacular and so unique. If you get to know some of the residents of Alberobello, you quickly realize the trulli are only a small part of the beauty of Alberobello! Thank you, Mimmo, Cosima, Pietro, and Tika for another FABULOUS visit to your beautiful Trulli e Puglia!
