Review 1：A lovely grand old style hotel, with large rooms. A pleasant change after your standard run of the mill hotel chains. Whilst we were only an overnight stay, the hotel contain a good pool area and spa options for a longer stay.

Review 2：I wouldn't say that the hotel kept a 4 star standard - or at least I would expect in a 4 star hotel that the soap dispenser has been refilled and isn't empty when new guests arrive. unfortunately both times that I checked in this wasn't the case. Also the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should have been.

Review 24：The shower/bath combi was rather uncomfortable. The showerhead could only be placed very high & position could not be adjusted so you could actually only shower holding the showerhead. In general old bathroom and no real place of sitting in the family room.

Review 34：Hotel well positioned for old town. We had issues with the room (loo rolls, bath and air conditioning - room was 30 degrees!). Staff were faultless in their response. Fixes were put in place but A/C still poor and after an uncomfortable night they agreed to our request for a room change without quibble. The replacement room offered to us in old part of hotel was a significant upgrade at no extra cost.

Review 47：We slept in a room for 4 people. This was rather small and had no common area. But I saw that the other rooms (for 2 people) at this hotel were quite larger and had a sofa. The wifi connection was not good. In the bar I had a good connection but not in the room.

Review 48：The hotel is well located. It is located near the old town of Sopron. If you want you can use the underground, guarded parking of the hotel. It is a very nice, old hotel. The hotel has great facilities with a pool. Everything was very clean in the hotel. Our bathroom was too small. The evening meal and breakfast was buffet style. There was plenty of choice. And it was delicious. The staff was always friendly. It was cold outside but the hotel was always warm. I found this hotel a nice experience. It was chic, and was not expensive

Review 49：For couples not recommended. No French bed, two mattresses destroyed the intimacy of our night. Breakfast variety is from the 80's, but is included in the price. Fills your belly nevertheless.

Review 51：The Sweemingpool was really cold and we can not swimming on it. my tochter was very sad. There has one Wirpool, with hot wather ,but it is not enough for all gests. it was full with 10-15-20 people! the room had pictures that were very scary. the hotel is on the street. when you want to smoke, you have to literally go out on the street. no ashtray, and in front of the hotel was full of thousands of cigarettes. the elevator is old and small. when you go to the spa have to wait 10 minutes, with visitors who come or depart and are very suitcases. this is not good because you wet and bathrobe. Get on the elevator with costumed guests and then after a long wait.

Review 54：The staff were welcoming and let me into my room early. The hotel has an elegant facade, and fantastic location in the middle of the town, close to all the historic bits, plus Tesco express and DM drug store right across the road. I was given exactly the sort of room I asked for, on top floor, quiet, with sunblock curtains. Bathroom huge and spotless, sheets quality very clean white cotton - no polyester in sight, and no ugly bedspreads. Room very spacious, with own balcony and garden furniture - not much use in winter, but nice and gives more feeling of space. Huge floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. Spa was lovely and very clean.

Review 55：The wifi is very weak. The temperature was constant 26 Celsius without the ability to adjust. The hazelnut cream they gave during breakfast is one of the cheapest and poor quality, similar rated hotels gave much better (according some tests it is inedible...)

Review 56：The location is at the historical city center. The wellness is one of the best wellness I have seen in similar rated hotels. The staff is very kind. There are many restaurants, supermarkets, etc in the near.

Review 57：Outdated style from the 80's. Serious renovation is needed, you are like traveling back in time. This run down condition was a big disappointment for a 4* hotel!!! And besides all staff is REALLY SLOW.. I don't recommend it, you don't get value for your money.

Review 61：Beautiful old Belle Époque styled hotel, where you still can feel the whispers of a grand and luxurious past. Many original features have survived the many renovations though the times, such as the fantastic restaurant and breakfast room, where you feel like you’re in an old movie, while other parts of the hotels not have been so lucky. The nice room we got, which was in new added wing, was modern but stylish and comfortable. A nice surprise was the fantastic roof top terrace with stunning views, where you could sunbath, or enjoy a drink while watching the sunset. The staff were friendly and helpful. For the very reasonable rate we paid we got extremely good value. Sopron is a beautiful little gem of a town, well worth visiting.

Review 62：There appeared to be no restriction on taking food out from the buffet breakfast. 2 other residents managed to take 10 plates of food to their table to wrap up to take out. This left only a little for others who were not so selfish.

Review 64：An imposing edifice in the center of town. Our room was large and furnished with lovely antiques. The multi-leveled roof terrace offers a great view over the town. Underground car parking is secure and costs 9 euros. The reception staff was lovely and spoke outstanding English.

Review 66：good location of the hotel,friendly staff ,the food was good. (駅から1本道なので、場所がわかりやすく、観光にも便利でした。設備は、可もなく不可もなく、お値段から考えるとまあまあだと思います。

Review 67：Very slow service in restaurant if you're not using the buffet. Bathroom in the room wasn't very clean and room was dusty. Sleeping was disturbed by the outside noise. Infra sauna wasn't working in spa and jacuzzis was working like a fountain (bubbles in the centre of the pool only) and not for a massage at the back of a person.

Review 69：Wellness: the most negative thing about (otherwise pretty good) wellnessis that there is no bathroom/WC inside, one has to go out and walkthrough the long corridor to reach it. The other negative thing ispractically not directly related to the hotel as it is regarding therestaurant recommended by hotel staff and, of course, they probably hadno knowledge about their "practices" (well, now they know aswe informed the receptionist): the "Puskas" restaurant. Weasked at hotel if we could pay in Euro too there and were told that wecould. Well, the restaurant itself was nice, the food was pretty good,we could indeed pay in Euro... The problem was that they, withoutwarning, not only calculated a rate which was not very good (that issomething one expects in cases like this), but charged additional 10Euros!! With each bill! Our fault, we could ask/check before butwere just too tired and excited to be in Hungary again (me) and for thevery first time (the others), I mean that is not too nice a thing to doand to do even without warning (I even speak the language as I am halfHungarian and they did not tell me there was a difference in price). Sowe have really a bad memory of it as we also gave a good tip and noticedit only later. Conclusion: we will never go to eat there again (so theirloss will be much higher than the 10 Euros as we will pass Sopronregularly now, in addition they might even loose some other clientsreading this post who value highly the principle and will avoid it - ormention this to staff or manager, so the practice changes! Thank you inadvance). You choose if you go, but if you do so, make sure to pay inForints and to check the bill right before paying very carefully becausethey also cheated on another item! I am considering to report them tosome Hungarian institution (I still have the bill for that purpose) as Iwas so ashamed in front of my foreign relations to have this experienceright the first evening!

Review 70：We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel as well as the staff were verynice, the room was clean and the reastaurant offered for breakfast arich choice of all kinds of meal including fresh fruit which is esentialto me (and so often missing in other places), cereals and very goodsweat pastery. We enjoyed the wellness too, it is quite nice with moredifferent saunas, quite a good size swimming pool, etc. even if theplace is missing a bit of a what I call "the right atmosphere"as other wellness centers which I visited had. I mean it was clean andfunctional but little too "plain", I suppose working a bit onlighting (too much light) and on details of interior would help to makeit perfect (please, understand, I choose the hotels on bases if theyhave a good wellness, so I might be a little too demanding :) ). This isonly a hint for whoever could work on it, the hotel is highlyrecommended and I will definitelly come back in case I happen to stay inSopron the next time.

Review 71：The only issues were very minor: the showers in the swimming pool/gym changing room were out of order for the full 2 weeks that we stayed and the stairs down from the pool need a non slip surface, as evidenced by my bruises!

Review 72：The location of the hotel is perfect, the facilities are extensive and the food was excellent. We had a family suite on the front, which in addition provided an excellent view. The hotel has a faded grandeur without being tatty. The staff were always polite and flawless English was spoke at reception. There are a number of good restaurants within 100 yrds and behind a classical frontage, even a Tesco.

Review 75：There was no airconditioning in the room that faced the mai street. Windows should have been kept open duirng the night however the street was rather noisy. The missing airconditioning shold have been told at the time of presenting the place.

It was easy to find, even in the middle if the night, very near to the austrian border and the open air opera places like St. Margarethen and Moerbisch. We noticed that apart from wellness, there is a massage sallon, pedicure and manicure, which we will try out the next time.

Review 92：I stayed at this hotel one night during the Volt Festival, so the price of the room was 103 euros which for me is too much for the room I got (now the price is 70 euros, which is more acceptable). The room was in serious need of refurbishing and the bathroom too. The hotel is pretty clean, but it needs updating. So, my conclusion is that this is not a good value for money hotel if you go during the Volt Festival.
