Reviews for Charming Trulli

Review 1:Master bedroom mattress could be changed. I could feel a few springs, but it was not so bad.

Review 2:Great location, walkable to a small market and restaurants and also to the main area of Alberobello. We had a 2 bedroom trullo and it was perfect, small kitchen and nice dining area. Perfect for a family of four. Clean, well, supplied, nice linens, kind staff, highly recommend

Review 3:We had a problem with the TV which remained on standby with an intermittent blue flashing light. The staff were unable to stop this but we're able to reduce the effect with five layers of tape. The shower was a misdirected dribble at best.

Review 4:We really loved the experience of staying in a Trullo away from the main tourist area. Breakfast at Terra Madre was very good and the staff were always friendly & welcoming.

Review 5:Like most historic towns, parking is at a premium, however we found plenty of parking at the school approx 150 metres from the office.

Review 6:Our Trullo had a double bed and two singles in alcoves off the large main room. Good sized bathroom with a decent shower as well as a separate kitchen. There was a large dining table in the main room.

Review 7:Liked it all

Review 8:It was as described and in a wonderful location with a beautiful cathedral on a boulevard that had interesting shops and a great walking area

Review 9:There's nothing bad point :) なし。

Review 10:We were definitely enjoyed staying in charming trulli :) Location, staffs, equipments in trulli... Everything was great and all members of charming trulli were absolutely helpful and also charming :) Also they could speak Italian, English French and Japanese. So it's quite helpful for all customers! 日本人観光客の方は、プライベートのお迎え(有料)もありますし、日本人の方が働いていらっしゃいますので、英語・イタリア語の不自由な方でも、色々と質問が出来て、快適なステイになると思います。

Review 11:When we arrived we were lucky to get a space by the check-in which is only a short walk from the trulli (which is in a pedestrianised area). However, after a day out, we couldn't get parked here again and had to park a lot further away which was a bit of an inconvenience, especially with packing the car the next day. The double bed was small (a UK standard double bed I would guess) and definitely the smallest we had during our road trip around Italy and Croatia. However, this was the only (small) issue we had.

Review 12:The trulli was beautiful and a special place to stay. It was well decorated and maintained as well as being very clean. It was spacious enough to accommodate our family. It was short walk to the main tourist centre of Alberobello and it was lovely to see the community and locals. It was also a nice approach to the centre. The breakfast was lovely, ample and very fresh. The check-in and restaurant staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Review 13:The breakfast was really disappointing, hardly worth having, stale bread, stale cheese cubes, little edible fruit, no croissants, no orange juice. Had scrambled eggs after long wait... ok ridiculously small table, chipped plates. Coffee was the only good point. No wifi or english language tv

Review 14:We stayed in trullo 10 near the cathedral. It was super all round. The girl in the office was really helpful and advised where to park nearby for free. Everything was spotless and the trullo had everything you could need

Review 15:The lack of air conditioning and wifi made the trip very uncomfortable. The staff were helpful however failed to inform us of how to use the air conditioner whether it be intentional or not, we found it to not be in working order. In addition, the fan that was provided upholds our premise that the air conditioner was broken.

Review 16:The Trulli we were allocated was not of the traditional conical style which was a disappointment. The bedroom was up some wooden stairs which were more like a step ladder as they were so steep. The wifi was hopeless and the 'car parking on site' was not so. It was on the side of the road outside some flats about 200 metres away!

Review 17:An interesting and novel stay in a nicely appointed conversion in an interesting and attractive town.

Review 18:No response from the arrogant and rude Manager Mr Alexander for takingcare of problems with hot water supply. There was actually no hot waterso I had to check out the 2nd day! The no light problem in the bathroomwas successfully solved within 2 hours. Many thanks to the receptionistsfor their efforts.

Review 19:Beds and pillows were quite hard

Review 20:i loved the style of the trullo, it was modern inside but nice to see the original features and some brickwork retained too. The location was great, in a quieter street 5 minutes walk from the cathedral and only another 5 to the main trulli area with free parking close by. I can't thank the staff there enough - I had to sort out some important paperwork after I arrived with friends and they were so kind, letting me use one of the computers in their office for a few hours and printing documents for me! They definitely went beyond the usual service and I really appreciated it.

Review 21:The staff was friendly. The location was good but a little difficult to get to by car. It would have helped to have clear directions. It was cold because of rainy weather so having directions for heat etc would have made the experience more comfortable

Review 22:It was amazing to stay in an actual trullo conversion. Although it is an ancient house, the interior had been converted and modernised to a good specification. It was comfortable and stylish and close to all the local sights. We had good wifi there and were given breakfast even though it was a self-catering property. The facilities meant that we were able to cook and enjoy an evening meal. We were able to park for free nearby.

Review 23:no wifi........so sad.

Review 24:nice & helpful staff even we arrive late, he return for us, said sorry for left the office, help us settle down in our Trulli apartment and left the document the next day, care about we are tired as long time drive & lost our way, nice neighbour, who help us call the staff, nice atmosphere, beautiful & relex, excellent decoration in the trulli, simple but good breakfast include, the resturant excellent decorated.

Review 25:Even though we arrived at short notice, we where welcomed warmly. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. The trullo was luxurious, nice, clean, with floorheating. It was decorated in a way that you didn't miss the windows.

Review 26:Do charme do trullo!

Review 27:Lovely Trulli house with soft lighting and nice bathroom. Lovely walk in the Trulli lanes to get there. Welcoming staff. Bed in a rounded alcove!

Review 28:nothing

Review 29:Everything and especially the breakfast and restaurant

Review 30:Breakfast was of a poor standard

Review 31:Great to stay in a Trulli

Review 32:The beds and pillows were rock hard and we're used to firm beds and pillows!

Review 33:Staff were wonderful

Review 34:the distance from the office to the appartment , carrieng the laggage all over the way.

Review 35:The experience , the staff

Review 36:The food, especially in the local restaurant but also in other restaurants in the town, the friendliness of the people and the pleasant surroundings.

Review 37:No air condition in rooms No parking near rooms

Review 38:Air conditioning wasn't working

Review 39:The roof top terrace

Review 40:Location, clean, friendly, and good atmosphere. Easy walk to plaza, restaurants and good breakfast.

Review 41:Had to kill a few small insects inside our trulli.

Review 42:Location

Review 43:very very cold house. Upon arrival, turned on the AC at 30 degrees, but it never got warm, damp linen. No trash can in the room. Photo of the reservation does not match what you get. The kitchen is so small that it makes no sense. It is not possible to cook, you can suffocate from the gas. No wi-fi. In the breakfast, which is a 10 minute walk to restrane, you can ask the Internet. We were promised that we will have a terrace - we got a small cold crude Trullo.

Review 44:Alberobello is a very pretty place. And even such a thing as cold Trullo without promised terraces and internet did not spoil our mood.

Review 45:The water in the heating unit gurgled all night and we had a two bedroom unit but no doors on the bedrooms.

Review 46:The location is great and it was fun to stay for a night in a trullo.

Review 47:Had to lug luggage some distance away from parking area as it's a vehicle restricted area.

Review 48:Friendly and helpful staff. Good trullo living experience. Interesting countryside tour.

Review 49:The Trulli is very small. The description "Independent Trullo featuring 2 double bedrooms" is not true. Actually, there are 1 double room and 1 attic. No bed in the attic, we slept on a mattress. Moreover, there are cockroaches in the kitchen.

Review 50:There was a musty smell and the bed was very hard.

Review 51:The unit was spacious, very clean and well equipped. It was located within easy walking distance of the sites.

Review 52:No wifi in Trullo Terrible pillows Bathroom door not opening properly Electricity kept cutting out uncomfortable couch

Review 53:Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location

Review 54:breakfast in town was a bit basic but ok

Review 55:a great place to stay for 2 nights with easy access to the trulli area of Alberobello. We went in mid March but our trullo was cosy and warm; the staff were very helpful

Review 56:awas a little far to carry all the baggage, but not complaining

Review 57:I really like this place, authentic trullis in a villiage situation with in walking distance to everything, it snowed and was beautiful I would go back to this place my second favorite so far with Matera Caves no 1

Review 58:The 2-person bed was very hard. Perhaps they could add a soft mattress pad to help this.

Review 59:The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The trullo itself was indeed very charming -- and surprisingly spacious! (we had a 2-bedroom trullo). It was newly and tastefully renovated. We loved our stay!

Review 60:The trulli was spacious and equipped with everything generally needed to stay for long time although we stayed for only 1 night. Also the locatin was good for walking around the main area of the city.

Review 61:Beautiful apartment, well decorated, home made and organic breakfast.

Review 62:Nothing

Review 63:Loved the facilities and the town. We took some great pictures and the Southern Italian folks were awesome!

Review 64:Nothing.

Review 65:Plenty of room for a family of five. Close and free street parking. 50 miles from Matera.

Review 66:poor beds ... too hard

Review 67:area was lovely - people nice

Review 68:The bed was not flat, it curved down on the sides and was very very hard.

Review 69:Heated floors, location, privacy, cost.
