Review 1：We booked a suite for a monday night it was extremely noisy despite no events or music being on that night. Our suite was over the courtyard, a very loud group were in the hotel bar from 8pm which was ok. When serving stopped at 11.30pm they then moved outside to the courtyard where they shouted, screamed, sang & played drums on the outdoor tables until 2.20am. No one at any stage asked them to keep the noise down. By this time we were exhausted with banging headaches & just felt like getting up & going home

Review 17：Firstly there was no parking at hotel , we were sent around to two different hotel car parks , then our room was located at the building back of a garden , we got soaked walking to our room from reception area , then after all that , the double bed turned out to be 2 single beds pushed together , the noise level from the night club was horrendous & the racket from bar staff moving empty glass bottles at 5 in the morning meant we didn't get a lot of sleep .. We expressed this to staff while checking out but just got a simple " sorry , ye the nite club can be noisy " .

Review 19：There were a lot of maintenance workers around and few toolboxes left lying around Monday as we were were checking out. I know maintenance has to be done and I know we were checking out, but there was a very noticeable volume of them around.

Review 31：This was my second time staying in Langtons House Hotel. We stayed in a double room inside the hotel this time. It was very clean, TV was working, bed was big and comfortable, shower was working perfectly. Breakfast was exceptional. Will be back again!!

Review 32：The breakfast was one of the worst I had during our visit to Ireland; the only topping available for toast was marmalade (no jam, etc at all) and one staff member was particularly sour.

Review 33：This was one of the best places we stayed during our 3 week trip around Ireland. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom large and the toiletries supplied were 1st rate. The staff were all good. The building had character. Would recommend this place. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 34：This hotel is right across the road from a cab rank so as the pubs let out during the night, there were revelers (mostly very loud and some who were very drunk) heading for the cabs - given the narrow street, we were kept up until around 04:00 AM with the noise - this is not the hotels fault by any means but if you're looking for an early night, do not get a room anywhere near the street. The staff offered to give us an additional couple of hours before checking out to make up which was very nice of them

Review 36：The hotel uses old fashioned keys instead of key cards. Which is nostalgic and romantic. However, the key chain is large and cumbersome and the doors don't self lock. So, you find yourself fumbling with the keys quite often.

Review 37：The hotel's restaurants and bars are beautiful. We were surprised how expansive the hotel was once you stepped inside. The staff was absolutely excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for a walk about town.

Review 38：No bad experience but the steps on the stairs are a little narrow: need to be careful carrying a case down. The bedroom was fine but the furniture and decor a bit dark: also we could not open the window so it was a bit warm at night. The bed was very comfortable though and everything overall was really good.

Review 40：Because it was early in the week when we stayed, the cocktail bar wasn't open which was disappointing. Breakfast was quite hit and miss also, the first morning was amazing and we were really looking forward to it the next day, but a different chef must have been working as the food was totally different - overcooked eggs benedict and a lot of vinegar/grease on the bacon, soggy bread, undercooked pudding; just not great! The rooms could also do with some refreshing - ironing board and a few other bits were broken in our room, which was a beautiful room regardless.

Review 55：We found it very difficult getting a parking spot in your carpark when we arrived. When I got to the room and opened the window I noticed around the inside of the windows were very dirty and full of spider cobwebs. It looked liked they hadn't been cleaned a quite a while. I felt that €160 euro was a bit expensive for your room. I've stayed in more luxurious hotels for that price but all in all I was happy with the hotel but I don't think I would stay there again.

Review 59：The bed was fantastic. I could have slept in it for a month! Had a 4oz steak and eggs for breakfast which is part of your free breakfast option. Late night bar was great and the night porter with the ginger hair was a really nice fella.

Review 60：Stayed in this hotel recently. The hotel itself is fabulous. However the room we were in was not great for sleeping. The room was so close to the function room it was impossible to sleep until after 2am when the function was over. Told a staff member upon checking out how unhappy with this I was and they didn't even bat an eyelid.

Review 61：Type of room assigned to us upon arrival was not the right one. After complaint this was corrected by staff. New room (no 2) had minibar and tv that did not function. Towels had to be brought in. Some staff washelpful, some was not friendly at all. Our stay started off on a false note.

Review 65：Loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Garden room doors slam very loudly, and they slammed repeatedly unit; 4 am all three nights we stayed there. Loud voices in the halls, banging on the doors (twice) at 3 am, and the sound of drunken retching completed the experience.

Review 68：While I note that staying in a hotel in the centre of a town would be noisy, the constant racket of the staff dragging bottle bins past our room all night long and then insisting on breaking each one was unreal. Coupled with the security staff having cigarettes outside our window meant we couldn't get any fresh air in as the rooms are not air conditioned! The noise from the nightclub and their patrons didn't even compare with the noise from the staff themselves. When we complained the reception staff just shrugged and said well it is a Saturday night, I have never come across such a blatant disregard for customers. I complete waste of €190!!!!! The so called king-sized bed is in fact two single beds pushed together. Do not bother staying here if you wish to get a minute of sleep! I am truly baffled by the 9.0 rating!

Review 84：Bedroom stank of cigarettes no amount of air freshener could get rid of the stench.we could not leave the bedroom windows open as the noise from trolleys been pushed on the cobble lock.Noise from doors been opened and closed echoed around the building.Would advise guests not to choose the garden suite rooms due to noise and to request non smoking room and not assume that the room was non smoking..Finally ordered gluten free bread at breakfast as my partner is a coeliac but could not eat the bread as the staff on duty served it with ordinary toast in the basket delivered to our table (cross contamination)

Staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. John in the 67 bar is the most polite person I have ever met. Had food in the bar and couldn't fault it. Will definitely be returning soon. Rooms were fab huge comfy bed.

Review 104：There was no lift up to the 3rd level where our bedroom was located. Breakfast was deplorable. It took more than 5 mins to be seated. No drink order was taken for 20 mins. It took a further 20 mins for our drinks to be brought out. Food was very underwhelming which is disappointing considering the selection that was available. More staff need to be put on with such a high volume of guests.

Review 106：On the evening of our second night we were woken at 3.45am by the rowdy and callous behaviour of a group of young people. Swearing shouting and loud music that went on til 6am showed a total disregard for the comfort of your other guests.The response from the night porter was less than we expected as he refused to get involved. The offer of a change of room at 4.30 in the morning was just not acceptable. However. The reaction of senior staff the following morning was fully compensating for the discomfort that we endured was very welcome. We will definately return and also recommend the hotel to our friends and family.

Review 125：We had called the hotel before we booked and asked did they have a smoking room said yes they had 6, we requested 1 on our booking, when checking in we were told they didn't have smoking rooms felt let down by being told they had when we rang the hotel direct. Air conditioning in breakfast room was to high and my partner ended up with very irritated and sore eyes couldn't stay to finish breakfast. Lovely place but not ideal for anyone with walking disabilities to many stairs and long corridors. No clear signs of where reception is when entering from the car park.
