Reviews for Farmstead Lodge B&B

Review 1:The walls are very thin and u could hear everything in the morning. The WiFi was slow. The bathroom door where sliding and did not close completely.

Review 2:Rooms where big and clean. Bed very comfortable. Nice view. Lovely host and great breakfast in the morning.

Review 3:the owner welcomed us with a decent cup of tea and cake. she went out of her way to make our stay even more pleasant. room, wifi, breakfast; everything was perfect for us.

Review 4:Great location, Great host :) She gave us a lot of advices for sightseeing. She was very friendly and we felt welcome. Clean and comfortable room. Great price for great quality.

Review 5:I liked everything about the B&B/quiet location, and that may bother some people. A car is necessary. Also my private bathroom was across the hall corridor which may put some people off, but it wasn't an issue for me.

Review 6:I was on a 2 day hiking weekend. A warm welcome on arrival. Eileen went out of her way to arrange an early breakfast both mornings which was made to order. Freshly packed lunches and no issue with me making my flask of tea. A lovely home, quiet location and beautiful gardens.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:Generous breakfasts Warm welcome with tea and cakes Eileen (host) was knowledgeable of the area and helped us plan our days Easy to find from Beaufort, harder to find from Kilorglin

Review 9:Difficult to find but only because our GPS was directing us into the middle of a field! Very friendly and helpful walker directed us to B&B and once we got in right vicinity, signposting took us the rest of the way. It is in a very rural area but that is what we loved about the area and Ireland.

Review 10:Very welcoming and friendly family! Every morning had a made to order breakfast and received a lot of help and guidance in deciding what to do for the day. B&B very clean and loved being able to look out room window at the cows every morning. Very close to Killarney National Park, Ring of Kerry, and Dingle.

Review 13:breakfast wasnt big enough

Review 14:lovely location. very nice owner

Review 15:the amazing breakfast selection and Eileen being so friendly and accomodating

Review 16:Wonderful hosts, beautiful location, spotlessly clean, great rate

Review 17:A little bit out of town

Review 18:Very nice family friendly atmosphere

Review 19:Two mornings we had no hot water since the boiler had begun to act-up, Eileen was extremely apologetic and got on it right away. Just one word of warning..this place is in the country and you deal with tractors, cows, sheep , and all that goes with it...for us...t was what we enjoyed.

Review 20:The O'Sheas were fantastic hosts. We felt like we were staying with friends that we had known for a long time. We had the opportunities to watch the cows come in from the fields to be milked in the morning. We had great breakfasts made to order. We informed of good things to get to and see and when to go. We had a great visit. We had a very relaxed time and enjoyed our stayed very much.

Review 21:The landlady was delightful and made us feel so welcome. She had made cakes for us when we arrived so we immediately felt at home as we sat down to chat to her over a cup of tea in the guests' sitting room. She directed us to a wonderful evening of Irish music and dancing at a local pub which we wouldn't have found by ourselves and she was very helpful in advising us on routes for our excursions and for our onward journey. Breakfast was excellent, and we could have had all manner of different things to eat - nothing was too much trouble. We did our own ratings of b&b's as we toured Ireland and this one definitely came out on top!

Review 22:Wi-Fi signal very bad...

Review 23:Very friendly lady , beautifull home with also lovely garden.Nice family :) Very clean home with view of mountains.Higly recommended :)

Review 24:It is just a little bit remote ...but for us it was all the better forthat. It will also suit hikers/walkers as it is on the edge ofIreland's highest mountain range.

Review 25:We liked the friendly and helpful reception and the efforts of Eileen toprovide us with information we needed to enhance our stay there.

Review 26:As already mentioned, the rooms are quite small (which is evident intheir description though). Also, one of the two rooms we stayed in hadonly one power outlet, which was already occupied by the bedside lamps. To compensate for that, the bathroom of the room was spacious andprovided a shower and a huge bathtub.

Review 27:The house offers a very remote and quiet stay with a lovely view of themountains and the countryside. The hosts are true angels. After apuncture on our rental car, Eileen dealt with the car hire company forus, which would have been very hard for us to do in a foreign language.Besides that, Eileen has a great choice of breakfasts and provideshelpful recommendations for trips to the surrounding area. The roomsmight be small and not as comfortable as in other B&Bs, but we endedup extending our trip from two to four nights, because we felt a lotlike at home.

Review 28:N/A

Review 29:The lady owner is extremely courteous and friendly. She provided us with plenty of information on hiking trails and treated us to a delicious sweet and a cup of tea in her dining room when we arrived, exhausted after hiking for 6 hrs. Plenty of tips on where to have dinner too. Room was nice, clean and comfortable, huge fully accessorized bathroom. Felt like at home. Great location, right behind Ireland's highest mountains, close to the Ring of Kerry and its stunning beaches. We'll certainly be back at the Farmstead B&B in Beaufort.

Review 30:Eileen, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. Fantastic hospitality and service. A brilliant Irish breakfast too!

Review 31:Nohting

Review 32:The owner & family were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
