Reviews for Inveraray Farmhouse B&B

Review 1:old style decoration but it had all what you need and was very clean. No heater in the bathroom

Review 2:Fantastic B&B, very comfortable bedroom with nice outside view. Good breakfast

Review 3:The room we stayed in was a great position, but a little dated with furnishings and the ensuite a bit tired and small.

Review 4:The position next to open fields, the village of Beaufort was good for visiting the ring of Kerry. The hosts were very warm and friendly, helpful with touring.

Review 5:Everything about this delightful bed & breakfast. Beautiful friendly staff & so warm & welcoming you couldn't ask for more one of the best in Kerry. Definitely worth a visit. You will be very happy with your stay.

Review 6:The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The views are breathtaking and peaceful. Would stay there again, and highly recommend to anyone who want to experience the true Irish B & B

Review 7:Eileen was very welcoming and took good care of us. She had great suggestions on places to eat as well as activities we could do in the rain. Breakfasts were delicious and rooms were comfortable. Good location outside of the town - much quieter!

Review 8:There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Review 9:Everything was Great !!! Eileen and Noel the inn keepers were wonderful and friendly and made us feel very welcome to their home/inn They have quite a few rooms so can keep a large group. Our room was very nice and comfortable with a view of the backyard which was wonderful! The grounds were so beautiful. They had cows which the girls loved!! The breakfast was great! And they were always available if we had questions etc.. The grounds were beautiful and very peaceful. Their location was perfect for doing day trips and so close to the Gap of Dunloe and the RIng of Kerry, They are right in the middle of it all, and only 10 min from Killarney, but in the country, which is nice to be out of the hussle and bussle of the town. Close to Dingle as well. A perfect location to visit everything you want to see around Killarney and Ring of Kerry. Very close to Kate Kearneys Cottage only a couple of minutes; where we had a wonderful dinner. We just loved it here. We stayed 3 nights, Wish we had planned more of our nights here. We could have easily done a day trip to Dingle Peninsula from here. It is only an hour from Dingle the town. I would highly recommend staying here. Whenever we come back to Ireland we will definitely stay here!!

Review 10:They could do with changing the bed linen and towels - very tired. Also leave cereals and juice for people to help themselves it does not cost that much.

Review 11:Very nice people good location

Review 12:we paid 90 euro a night and for that we expected a lovely big room with a nice ,big, bed and lovely breakfast... we got a very small room with a very poor en-suite (toilet and very small shower, sink in the bedroom) small bed and breakfast was only very average.

Review 13:location owners very nice and helpful

Review 14:No tv in room, no shampoo, no tea/coffee making facilities, very little room (no space for suitcases) and dated furniture, needs an update.

Review 15:Very nice hosts and breakfast! Great location at the gap of Dunloe.

Review 16:We very much enjoyed our stay in this b&b. The owners and staff were very friendly. Great location. The full Irish breakfast was super. We will certainly recommend this place to our friends and will stay here again in the future.

Review 17:First of all, no disrespect to Eileen since you were kind, but my goodness I have a lot to dish so lets get started. Now, since this was a last minute reservation, I got bit in my butt (literally on my thighs and legs) by your spiders. I get it, its a farmhouse, but dang you haven't heard of pesticide, lol. I saw and there was way too much insects and spiders in your place, in the room, in the tearoom. The whole place on the inside looks like a haunted farmhouse, dated and needs to be torn down before the termites finish it off. I was scared! Walking up those creepy, noisy stairs, smelling and seeing the old furniture with the dust all on it. The room didn't even have WIFI. I was told to go downstairs. When I went downstairs to the lounge, the door was locked (go figure!) So what did I end up doing, going back up those creepy stairs into that dingy, dirty, spider infested room you call a tearoom. (Oh, and you didn't know this but I went into what I realized later was a kitchen. Good grief, it was filthy, dirty, old, please renovate. I wish Gordon Ramsay could be in your place. Hmmm, I wonder what he would say) There must be enough money. After all, I paid you 76 euros only for one night, and I will admit I should have stayed in the car. The room and comfort was a joke as well as the bathroom. That room was so cold, I used up all the covers just to stay warm. Now get this, early in the wee hours, all I could hear was the neighbors talking, laughing, doors slamming, the cows mooing, your dog barking. All I needed to hear was some roosters to make this nightmare complete. And it continued until I left, which was at 10:30ish. Leaving the room, the farmhouse looked even more haunted in daylight. I was greeted with a confused hostess, for some strange reason or another. I sat down at the table, and she said, "Now, what do you want." I'm like I don't know, what do you have, lol!

Review 18:I made it through the night and left!

Review 19:No TV or wifi in room. A kettle in the room would be a nice plus. No soap for shower. All in all a good place & would stay again.

Review 20:Friendly relaxed atmosphere & very attentive owners / staff. Good location to drive around from. Great breakfast. Peaceful & quiet.

Review 21:There wasn't anything to dislike

Review 22:The lovely people, the general set up, the rural out of town location. The space. The amazing views. The local pub Kate Kearneys Cottage.

Review 23:everything was well cared for but also clearly decades old, updating/renovating the bathroom & furniture sooner rather than later would be a good idea

Review 24:Noel is a retired biology teacher and a great source of information regarding local flora and fauna, clean, great localtion

Review 25:Our Hostess was most helpful and suggested we visit Muckross House Garden and Ross Castle as we were leaving for our next stop, which we did. We enjoyed the food and live Irish song and dance in the Katie Kearney's Pub.

Review 26:Bedroom.badly needs to be renovated. No complementary toiletries as promised. Room we got was not shown on web. Disappointed.

Review 27:Location good. Gardens are beautiful. Staff friendly.

Review 28:wifi could have been better, we couldn't get it to work in the bedroom but lounge was OK

Review 29:Outside of the bustle of town, lovely quiet location, well looked after, friendly welcome, very helpful

Review 30:Nice woman, great breakfast, PERFECT location for the Gap of Dunloe

Review 37:perfect for what we wanted.near hotel for wedding

Review 38:location and breakfast

Review 39:The proprietor should review the fire escape facilities. This is a ticking fire trap.

Review 40:location

Review 41:Location, walking distance to Westport sea front.

Review 42:Proximity to gap of Dunloe, friendly owner very nice people.

Review 43:Very nice and friendly ,couldn't do enough for you .

Review 44:the warm welcome we got on arrival. The chit chat with husband and wife during breakfast.Very homely.

Review 46:Friendliness, location, good breakfast, knowledgeable about the area

Review 47:We were made feel very welcome

Review 48:breakfast was super, loved our stay we will return soon, excellent stay

Review 49:My dogs were able to enjoy the garden with no problems

Review 50:Needed bigger sheets on double bed. They needed fitted bottom sheets.

Review 51:Good in every way

Review 52:Rooms a bit small and simple. Weak flow shower.

Review 53:Amazing host, good breakfast. Location.

Review 54:Absolutely nothing !

Review 55:Marvelous B&B. Excellent breakfast, the owners are very nice. It's on the road to the Gap of Dunloe.

Review 56:Too far from Killarny to go back and forth, but nice place to stay for exploring Gap of Dunloe.

Review 57:Helpful staff, lovely location. We had a car accident and they went out of their way to help us out.

Review 58:The home was dirty--our room had several spiders and cobwebs. The bedding is at least 40 years old--I would recommend that the hosts at least update the towels and bedding to more current styles. The facility, itself, has not been updated--dated colors and styles. Another objection we had is that there were extra beds in our room--made it difficult to even move in the room. The shower drained so slowly that by the time our showers were over, we were standing in 4 inches of water.

Review 59:The setting was lovely; views of the fields were gorgeous! The hosts were very pleasant and gracious.

Review 60:Poor wifi connection, even in guests' lounge. Our room was warm and comfortable but smelt strongly of mildew. The smell stayed in our clothes for the rest of our tour.

Review 61:Very pleasant and helpful people. Gave us a warm welcome. Pretty house and garden in ideal position for exploring the Ring of Kerry, but not really a farmhouse. Good breakfast.

Review 62:Beautiful little B&B located on a rural road with pretty of scenic views, close to the Ring of Kerry. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable. The husband and I had a great time here.

Review 63:the room was very cold and the bathroom is quite small.

Review 64:nice and quiet area in the middle of nature, great beds and large rooms, good breakfast and very friendly owner :)

Review 65:Rooms are very basic and outdated. The house has no noise insulation so you can hear everything. The photos and information on the website portray a different place i.e. no toiletries supplied, reluctance to take a credit card and it appears nicer than it is in reality

Review 66:The porridge at breakfast.

Review 67:We did not like the bedlinen and blankets as we have allergies and the wool blankets were not ideal. Also the sheets and towels were very worn looking.

Review 68:We liked the location

Review 69:Towels were a bit worn.

Review 70:The hosts are very warm and welcoming. My teenagers liked the cowsgrazing nearby. Location was perfect for a visit to Kate Kearney'sCottage and the Gap of Dunloe. Hosts went out of their way to make surethe restaurant would be open and take our orders as we were arriving 15minutes before they closed.

Review 71:No shower gel. bring some! if you are into nightlife etc, stay in Killarney

Review 72:It was very welcoming & very comfortable bed. we were late on both mornings and received breakfast in an event. thoroughly recommended.!nice scenery & Noel & Eileen were fantastic hosts. would stay there again. Gorgeous scenery and close to Dunloe hotel. 12 min walk.

Review 73:Lot of noise from upstairs room(-no fault of proprieters)-guests were probably unaware of it.

Review 74:Quiet location,friendly,good value,very helpful and relaxed

Review 75:We found the sitting room a bit chilly.

Review 76:The wonderful location - the excellent service and friendly staff -the comfortable room.
