Reviews for Dona Sa Maria
Review 1:Our breakfast was toasts with jam, juice and a hot drink. Very poor. Nobody told us that they cook meals in there! We would try something instead going out all the time. Our last night was a nightmare, staff was having a loud party and fan in our room didn't work - there was nobody at the reception to ask so we spend sweaty night fully awake because of terrible heat and the noises from downstairs. Not good. They run out of drinks at the bar so for the last two days we couldn't even order anything cold to drink.
Review 2:Excellent swimming pool, some nice staff as well.
Review 3:Very far from beach, if you are with kids this place is not for you since not easy to find transport, restaurants or shops nearby. Also if you are spending only couple of days in goa to enjoy beach, better to find accommodation near beach.
Review 4:If you solo or budget traveler, this place might fit your needs as its clean n offers long term stay options.
Review 5:Room was in dire need of a good clean up and refurb (paint etc), net curtains were grey, bed very hard, location not as described on Booking.com as walk to beach is a good half hour in open hot sun, owner/manager overcharged us and we paid for 5 nights but only stayed for 2 (for the above reasons) - we gave him notice of our intention to leave and although Booking.com readjusted our booking to 2 nights - He tried to explain his reasons none of which we understood - we did feel 'ripped off' and it left a nasty taste which is unfortunate. You need an A/C room in 34 degrees temp (March/April) but his A/C rooms are in a very run down block in the back of complex and not around the pool. The pool, although small is a nice area as long as not too many guests are using the loungers or it could feel congested. Hotel restaurant food is not tasty and the manager there seems disinterested. Breakfast is inedible - dry white toast with overcooked tea from an urn - awful.
Review 6:swimming pool, back field peacocks, swimming, Anita (receptionist) is a pleasant person to deal with. Local Zalor Beach is lovely.
Review 7:Breakfast is basic and maybe it should be marketed as a 'lite' breakfast. The gardens could do with a little more TLC.
Review 8:The Guest House is very friendly and is in a nice quiet location. It is excellent value for money when you consider that you are paying less than £10 per person per day.
Review 9:The bed was very hard!
Review 10:Very satisfied with our check in. We did not arrive until the early hours of the morning but the staff were ready for us and we were checked in very efficiently and we were able to get into our room very quickly following a full day's travel.
Review 11:rather down at heel
Review 12:nice pool
Review 13:Poor breakfast. Very slow service. Slow or non internetservice. No transport from the hotel like autoriksha except the expensive hoteltaxiservice. It can be very noise at night, because of people who are drinking at the bar and around the swimmingpool. If you want to have a quit night don't take the rooms with swimmingpoolview.
Review 14:We like the clean room, clean towels everyday. Nice swimming pool. They are working very hard to get the place look like brand new by painting everything and creating a nice garden and terraces.
Review 15:great friendly saff and lovely relaxed atmosphere and stunning area. i would highly recomend this hotel.
Review 16:There was nothing I didn't like.
Review 17:Clean, friendly and great value.
