Reviews for Trulli Holiday Resort
Review 1:Location, courtesy & helpfulness of staff, and care to keep both families as close as possible, the size an commodity in the Trullo, bountiful b'fast.
Review 2:Our trullo is located on the Main Street, therefore was a bit noisy at times due to many visitors and vehicles passing by.
Review 3:Very friendly and helpful staff, gave us a lot of information, and efficiently organised our transfer to our next stop. Unique accommodation worth the experience.
Review 4:The trullo is too well renovated. We thought it's going to be more authentic. Free wi-fi is available, but too slow.
Review 5:Perfect location. Don't hesitate to pay more for better location in Alberobello! Staff will show you where you can park for free. Gorgeous breakfast. Ostuni, Zoosafari, Grotte di Castellana and other places in Puglia are easy reachable by car, train or bus.
Review 6:Honestly, There is nothing that comes to mind that we could find fault with.
Review 7:Perfect in every way. Receptionist spoke perfect English; From beginning to end the experience was incredible. Very close walking distance to everything. I would recommend Truilli Holiday Resort to anyone looking to stay in Alberobello. Fantastic. A fairytale experience.
Review 8:Memorable experience to stay in a Trullo in Alberobello. Very comfortable and delightful. Francesco and all the staff were very helpful. Excellent breakfast.
Review 9:nothing.
Review 10:Office is easy to find and open until 20:30. Staffs are all very nice and response is very quick. Whenever I asked something they react very quickly. - Trulli I stayed was really in the center. Facilities are new and works fine. Room was clean.
Review 11:Perfect quiet location in the residential centre of the Trullo area, away from the crowds. Such a warm welcome, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Great buffet breakfast. Really special place!
Review 12:The staff member told us that the hot water heater needed to recharge after 20 minutes of us. We used once but didn't have any hot water the next day.
Review 13:Staying in a Trulli is pretty cool. It was small but worth it.
Review 14:Guide, with useful info, takes you to your separate house & gives a phone # to call at any time if assistance is needed.Great atmospheric place with all the extras & a good price.
Review 15:Unfortunate many restaurants were closed but that's life, when travelling what can you do...
Review 16:I liked the location, quiet, close to everything. Just a small bedroom and bathroom so cute. The staff actually brought us to the location of the trulli, he was very helpful thank you Francesco.
Review 17:Thr room was small (which we expected). I would probably opt for a larger room next time. The breakfast facility was a hike from our room. Didn't enjoy that when it rained.
Review 18:It really was a trullo house and we wanted that experience. It was quiet and the staff responded to our requests promptly. The room was nicely appointed and had a good hot shower.
Review 19:We stayed in a trulli right in the heart of Alberobello.Lovely, authentic experience with really super reception staff.Arranged so many things on our behalf.Thank you.
Review 20:On the outside walls there were some kind of stone worms, harmless, but when you find them inside is a problem! Our trulli had some issues with the pipes, in the kitchen some times there was a bad smell.
Review 21:The staff is nice and helpful. The yard is big and nice, but however, it needs cleaning to.
Review 22:a classic: staying in a Trullo was a great experience, unique and really fun our Trullo was nicely furnished, had everything you need and was very clean
Review 23:The Trulli was not what we expected very basic cooking facilities just a hob, there were ants in the kitchen area, and the seating was not comfortable. The breakfast cups and saucers had chips in them
Review 24:A bit touristy and slightly tacky. We would not return
Review 25:Location, range of restaurants, parking facilities. Glad we saw the Trulli Excellent wine bar - Paco
Review 26:Breakfast was really disappointing and poor quality. Nothing was cooked and the food on offer was not pleasant. The tea cups were also old and chipped.
Review 27:The Trulli and location were excellent. Service from the staff also excellent.
Review 28:Our second night was spoiled by noise from a nearby bar which went on until well after midnight. There was limited parking available nearby. We parked 10 mins walk away not a problem for us but might be for others. Area wa very tourist focused
Review 29:Location of our Trullo was really central with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Our receptionist was very helpful.
Review 30:I'd asked about noise soonest we arrived as we were next to a bar on the busiest street. At 1am the noise was still going strong - families drinking and playing on the street. Then bar deliveries and bottle emptying starts at 7am. Plus under facilities it states 'private beach area' when actually there is no private/quiet outdoor space associated with the properties...bit annoying when the place is heaving.
Review 31:The trulli are lovely - very cosy
Review 32:Nothing
Review 33:Franceso was friendly and a professional service. We were lucky to be given aTrullo right in the historical Unesco world heritage site with no tourists around. Excellent and clean room. Breakfast was exceptional and overall highly recommend Trulli holiday resort if you want to experience the feeling of staying in a trullo for affordable price.
Review 34:It was a wonderful experience to be able to stay within a World Heritage Site. The Trulli are beautiful and it was lovely to be able to walk around, to see and learn about the various housing, especially where we stayed which was the much quieter side.
Review 35:I had my very own little trullo for a couple of nights. It was nice to be able to walk to do things and not have to get in the car for two days. I liked that it didn't feel like a hotel and was more private than a B&B.
Review 36:Having to find parking a bit hit and miss when busy and having to go such a long way to breakfast .
Review 37:Beautiful town and amazing experience .lioved staying in the Trulli and would recommend if in this part of Italy
Review 38:Reception was close to station but the room was another 10mins walk from the reception. So if you carry a lot of laggage, it'll be hard.
Review 39:Traditional house and cute interior. Clean room. Great wifi and airconditioning. There was complimentary crackers and bottle water.
Review 40:The breakfast was a bit far to get to in a very hot weather and the restaurant was hot hot hot.
Review 41:The Trullis were great and really confortable and a great experience
Review 42:The staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful in giving information about the surroundings. We were only there 1 night so didn't use the kitchen, but it looked sufficient. The restaurant we were recommended was very nice. It was very handy to have free parking on a street close by.
Review 43:Our trulli was truly an adorably appointed little doll house. Thank you, Francesco for being such a gracious and friendly host who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We appreciated your excellent command of the English language as well.
Review 44:Nothing, all great
Review 45:We git a free upgrade :-) Stayed in a trulli apartment, extremely cute. People at the agency were very very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good
Review 46:The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The Trullo was very pretty, centrally located, comfortable and spotless. Overall it was a unique experience.
Review 47:If I had one suggestion for improvement I would suggest the provision of a kettle, I know that this area is mostly visited by Italian tourists but as British visitors we would have enjoyed a cup of tea first thing in the morning
Review 48:The trulli was lovely and it felt very special to be able to stay in one even though we only had one night and day there. We were only a few moments away from the tourist area so no need to drive anywhere but you wouldn't have known this as it was so peaceful. The resort owners were very friendly and helpful and were genuinely pleased to have our custom. I would definitely reccommended this to others.
Review 49:The apartment was nice and cosy with a vaulted roof and in the middle of one of the trulli areas so well positioned The lady helped us find the apartment walking us to it and gave us a few points on alberobello
Review 50:We could suggest a bit more diversity for breakfast. Nevertheless, it was good.
Review 51:The staff was very welcoming. The trullo was fantastic. Everything was perfect. Plus, we were able to rent bikes for our stay which was very much fun. Thank you to all.
Review 52:The quality of wifi in our trullo suite was good during the day, however when we came back from dinner the wifi was all gone.
Review 53:Good location, not far from the train station and the rione monti. Nice and thoughtful host.
Review 54:A great welcome from Francesco and colleagues. First class accommodation and an excellent breakast in a remarkable place. If you are just coming for one night leave your luggage in Bari rail station (17 euro for 24 hours) and bring an overnight bag.
Review 55:Our stay here was an absolute delight. Comfortable, spotless and terrific location on a quiet side street yet close to the central part of town, shops and restaurants. The town itself is magical and actually staying in one of these amazing structures was an experience to remember. Front desk staff gracious and helpful in every way. Breakfast was absolutely great!
Review 56:Front desk staff gracious and helpful in every way. Comfortable, spotless and terrific location on a quiet side street yet close to the central part of town, shops and restaurants. The town itself is magical and actually staying in one of these amazing structures was an experience to remember.
Review 57:This small town was a wonderful place to plan an Italian getaway. The Trulli Resort was very clean, spacious and affordable. The people of Bari were friendly and the food was execellent! Also, don't miss out on the Zoo Safari only 25 minutes from this location!
Review 58:Having somewhere cool to retreat to in a quiet part of town. Staying in this attractive and unique building and being within easy driving distance of other lovely places. The helpful and efficient staff who made us so welcome.
Review 59:Our experience at Trulli Holiday was wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful, showing us to our room and even carrying our bags up the small hill to get to it! The accommodations were so adorable, very clean and well kept, and exactly what we were expecting from the photos we saw ahead of time. We even got a free upgrade because they had a larger room available! Definitely recommend Trulli Holiday when vacationing in Alberobello!
Review 60:The owner (Pasquale) went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay. The room (a 600 year old Trullo) was completely updated with great attention to detail - it was clean, spacious, decorated with extremely good taste, and included all modern comforts. No frill WiFi was also a nice surprise. Staff is extremely friendly, and the hotel restaurant serves a tasty fixed menu dinner that I highly recommend. We visited several cities in Italy, and this was the best hotel we stayed.
Review 61:The Trulli Holiday folks run a friendly, efficient, and fun resort. Our trullo was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. Francesco and Daniela in the front office were tremendously helpful in navigating us through the maze of identical buildings. The breakfast site was spacious and full of good things to eat. Alberobello is a pretty little town. It's almost entirely given over to tourism, so one doesn't have the sense of how the Pugliese live in such a special place anymore, but the buildings are great, the restaurants are very good, and it's a lovely place to hang out.
Review 62:None
Review 63:The Trulli was immaculate. Breakfast taken in the town was first class. Staff helpful, friendly and very very pleasant. Can't recommend it more highly, just a pity we didnt stay a few more days!
Review 64:Everything.
Review 65:booked 4 rooms, all scattered in spite of having rooms close. Gave us the worst room. Did not even consider a change next day. Ensured that we felt miserable about our stay.
Review 66:UNESCO heritage . 20min away from east and west costs. trulli is wonderful. you can find several good restaurants. lecce, ostuni, manapoli towns are not far away
Review 67:A minor niggle in that it would have been nice to have a slightly softer mattress.
Review 68:The accommodation was spacious and very well equipped without losing the essence of this remarkable type of house. We wanted two twin beds and ended up with two double rooms so bags of room. Brilliant heating on to beat the chilly evenings.
Review 69:It did not bother me as we were not planning to cook but the microwave and oven were both broken and unavailable to use. Could have been a disappointment if we had intended on cooking.
Review 70:This was a highlight of our trip to Italy. My children are 10 and 12 and they absolutely loved staying in our trullo. Everything was just as we had hoped from the descriptions. We took the segway tour and it was also a huge hit. Highly recommend!
Review 71:No problems!
Review 72:Staff very helpful. Accommodation novel, stylish, comfortable & spotlessly clean. Alberobello is delightful & all can be visited easily on foot from the trullo (house). There's a good selection of restaurants within easy reach.
Review 73:Great Trulli. The room was upgraded to a family room. very authentic Great Staff לא להחמיץ לינה בטרולי - חוויה אמיתית - שכונה של טרולים בתוך עיירת טרולים
Review 74:The area, the Trullo and the food in Puglia was amazing. All our expectations were met. It was particularly cold when we went in April (sleet and snow at times) however the Trullo was so cosy with a constantly burning pellet stove, it felt like home from home. We felt quite smug staying in one when there were so many tourists looking around outside and possibly going back to their hotels!
Review 75:If you go to alberobello you have to live in a trullo. And what an awesome stay trulli holidays provide. Its the best place I stayed in a long long time. Everything was perfect
Review 76:Parking was a little tricky, but not unreasonable.
Review 77:The atmosphere is just as nice as it seems in the pictures. Though itdidn't declare on the web page our "Trulli" had free wifi. Also, the breakfeast was much better than expected.
Review 78:Couldn't fault it
Review 79:Terrific accommodation in a beautiful little Trulli house; well appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English.
Review 80:We did not like the fact that we were not told that on Thursdays there is a market in the mornings and all of the shops and restaurants close for the day. We arrived at 1:30 (13:30) and the market had closed by then and there was no place to eat. The only thing open was a coffee shop with pastries and chocolates and some sad sandwiches. Good thing they had wine. Also it was a beautiful day and there was a garden area with the Trulli, but no chairs or tables to enjoy the area. We had to carry chairs outside from the kitchen table.
Review 81:A town full of trullis is amazing. The architecture is so beautiful. The place was very nice. The staff was nice, but the breakfast was just ok. the soft boiled eggs were hard boiled, no salt and the croissants were old with just a little jam on them. We were offered yogurt with fruit and we got banana and pineapple flavored yogurt. Not yogurt with fruit.
Review 82:Our stay in Alberobello with Trulli Holiday felt like magic. Since we were in the town at a time of year which is out of season we felt as if we had the whole town to ourselves. The weather was distinctly chilly, even for us Brits, so the fact that our Trulli had underfloor heating was a real benefit. Getting back to the Trulli each night was genuinely delightful as it was so warm and snug. The Trulli architecture really feels like it's made for the human scale and they are a real pleasure to stay in. We can't recommend them highly enough. The team at Trulli Resort were wonderful to us throughout our stay – always eager to help with any small matter and so kind and warm. We really felt welcomed and well looked after during our whole stay. We have already been recommending Alberobello and staying in a Trulli to everyone we know. If you are exploring Puglia then you absolutely must take time to visit this amazing town.
Review 83:The staff was great. The breakfast was very good. It was so terrific to stay in the Trullias neighborhood. We got to see (and hear) the annual Christmas Precipe Viente.
Review 84:The staff were very helpful and professional. The room location was amazing and the level of cleanliness was amazing. The free breakfast at a local restaurant was also awesome.
Review 85:The trullo was very cosy and clean in the oldest part of the town. The bathroom small but modern. The staff was very professional and helpful, specially when we had a problem with our car. Definitely a very good option.
Review 86:We were welcomed by Trulli Holiday staff and given excellent and complete information that help make our stay in Alberobello very pleasant. Our little Trullo was so cute and was perfectly situated in a quiet little street. We loved everything about our stay!
Review 87:We were terribly disappointed of how the exterior of the house looked, as it was not a trullo, more like a normal white stone house that you could have wherever in Southern Europe. You could hardly see that there was a small trullo roof, it looked just a house and was almost the only building in the area like that. Inside it was okay but the trullo roof was covered with a wooden panel which basically hide the whole trullo roof, so you could only feel like being in a trullo when sleeping in the bedroom, otherwise the feeling was just like in a stone house. When walking around we saw some other accommodations of the same Company and they were real trullos, so we were really sad. We planned the trip very carefully with many alternatives and picked this for the good reviews, so were disappointed that the house did not match with the pictures of the webside at all. The café for having breakfast was quite far. When coming in for the night the electricity of our accommodation did not switch on, so we sat in the darkness. We had to call the owner who asked me to do something in the cabinet for electricity, which we could not understand as he spoke not good English. Then he drove to our house and did something to get the electricity on. So in total the trullo experience that we were supposed to get was not very nice. The accommodation was too modern to get a real trullo feeling, we would expect a little more original, not like a hotel room. Many shops and restaurants were closed for winter and also most of the trullo tourist shops were closed.
Review 88:The owner fetched us next Morning with his car to the breakfast cause we wanted to leave the luggage in the reception for the day.
Review 89:Price is a little steap if you concider the ammenties.
Review 90:We loved staying in a Trullo inside the Trulli neighboughrhood, facilities were OK, not amazing. Kitchen was fine for making tea but really too small for any reall cooking (maybe in the larger trullo it's better). Location was good, very close to everything. Breakfast is hearty, there is a nice choice. Breakfast is served near the church so depending on where your Trullo is you are going to have to walk there.
Review 91:Oven and dishwasher were not working but that was a minor issue for us. May not be for other guests in the future.
Review 92:Good instructions of where the office was to check in. A very personal welcome from Francesco. The house was very comfortable and close to all the sights in town. Free parking for 4 days was a real bonus.
Review 93:Early checkout around 10am.
Review 94:The checking staff was welcoming and helpful. Complimentary Breakfast was good. Staying in a trullo was a unique experience. I saw this in a movie and wanted to go there. It is very pretty to watch this white hut with conical roof. Local people here dont speak much English.
Review 95:Some loud music from a near club or restaurant. Not so much warm water for two showers.
Review 96:Excellent location, in the center of Alberobello, traditional trulli, great staff.
Review 97:Nothing to dislike.
Review 98:Staying in a trullo was a very different and delightful experience. Walking around the town was almost dreamlike. Our hosts met us and helped us get settled, giving us maps and good recommendations. The room was large and comfortable with a great bathroom.
Review 99:Some of the furniture was a bit tired and could do with replacing
Review 100:It was great fun sleeping in a Trulli - effectively the room was a one-bedroom apartment and was large and comfortable. Well situated very close to the central part of town.
Review 101:Because of the nature of the properties, there were lots of tourists wandering around at all hours, and when we came out once, a load of Japanese wanted to come in and have a look around - we should have charged them and made a few Euros...
Review 102:Great to stay in a trullo. When we arrived at the end of a big festival, the roads were all locked off, but Pasquale (I think) came out to advise us where to park - could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was a 10 min walk, but enjoyable.
Review 103:No working wifi in the trullo, but it didn't really matter to us since we could use 3G.
Review 104:Everything! Our trullo was so cute. We loved it! It was full of character and was quite spacious too. Francesco in the office was extremely helpful and recommended some wonderful sites to visit nearby. We will definitely tell our friends about Trulli Holiday.
Review 105:As expected the cooking facilities were limited.
Review 106:The situation was perfect. In the middle of the quieter Trulli district. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast in a nearby cafe was excellent. The staff were all very helpful. We arrived in the middle of the annual festival but Francesco came to meet us as our taxi could not get very close. Facilities were basic but sufficient and just what you would expect in a Trulli.Clean towels were supplied each day.
Review 107:I don't speak Italian enough to write in Italian but we loved the whole trulli area, plus it was a saints feast for 3days which we thoroughly enjoyed
Review 108:The breakfast was rather average, plastic cups instead of glasses.
Review 109:Very unique experience to stay in the traditional Trulli house. Nice welcome in reception.
Review 110:We arrived at 3pm and had only had a few daylight hours that day as we were continuing on our road trip early the next morning. The office was locked with no sign and no one would answer the phone. We had sit around and wait until after 430pm to checkin and by the time we settled Into our trulli we had only one hour to explore before we had to leave for our anniversary dinner reservations in another town. What upsets me most is when I was checking in I asked why there was no one at the office because we were on a right schedule and instead of any sort of apology the guy acted like I was a jerk for asking and said they were busy checking others into their Trullis. The room was really smelly and old. All the furniture, fixtures, bathrooms needed updating.
Review 111:Free parking, spacious. We got an "upgrade" but I'm not sure that was in our interest as the room was old and smelly (not sure how this compares to other rooms). They delivered a boxed breakfast to is because we had to leave early the next morning.
Review 112:Slightly musty smell, not very cosy lighting and loud sounds of workmen on both sides from 8am.
Review 113:Staying in a trulli was an extraordinary and unique experience in itself. The facilities were fine and the location was good. Staff were very helpful.
Review 114:As in the rest of Italy the Internet was slow but it was free.
Review 115:This is the kind of experience you hope for absolutely impeccable clean, comfortable and quiet accommodations. Five minute walk to sights and restaurants. Staff is more than friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was very nice, and the cappuccino was one of the best I have had in Italy.
Review 116:the nice welcome in french , seldom the case in this part of Italy , free upgrade to a bigger Trulli, very good location in the older part of the city, less invaded by tourists.
Review 117:There are 2 parts to the town 1area is particularly tacky and touristy we didn't like that bit but well worth a visit to the other smaller part of the town where traditional families stay
Review 118:Staff daniella was so helpful she told us where to park and gave us loads if information re the village Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice We got a free upgrade and trulli was lovely and in good location well away from the tacky part of the town
