Reviews for Beaufort Lodge B&B & Cottage
Review 1:I wanted to stay in a cute cottage surrounded by flowers near the old woods of Killarney and imagine the magic of this land and my dream came true. My kitchen was so perfect with quality utensils to cook my own meals and a radio to immerse in daily life of Ireland, a care for the environment, the parlor with a little electric fireplace to cozy around, and the most beautiful separate bedrooms, The photos do not do it justice, spacious, large, quality. I even had an Irish friend come stay overnight in my ‘guest room’. The weather in October was amazing, I had sunny days on the stone patio, and walks along the hedgerows and ways. I even had a sweet dog friend come visit me! It was perfect. Thank you so much for creating this lovely, quality space and experience for travelers like me seeking these moments to remember for a lifetime.
Review 2:Nothing comes to mind.
Review 3:It was such a pleasure to stay here. My wife and I left with genuine envy for the gardens. And a desire to bring home some brown irish bread. The best we encountered during our stay in Ireland.
Review 4:Only hangers available, no real cupboard with drawers. Heating needs to be asked for (there is heating only at +/- 7.30am and not all day if necessary). Payment is prefered in cash, otherwise additional charges if paid by credit card (not mentioned on booking.com confirmation).
Review 5:Quiet environment. Our large room overlooking the garden. Close to Gap of Dunloe (nice pub/restaurant with live music, at the entrance of the Gap : Kate's Kearnieys)
Review 6:Ulrike was extremely helpful and thoughtful. The location is very convenient for Killarney, the main roads and dinner at the Beaufort pub or Kate Kearney's Cottage, yet peaceful. The garden and the silent yet expressive dog are delightful.
Review 7:The gate is a bit difficult too see during the night in the dark while coming from the road.
Review 8:The place was lovely, clean and warm. Is possible choose between a full irish breakfast, eggs and chives, jams and others and is included in the stay. Urlike, the owner, has been very kindly and given us plenty of information about places to go and what to see while driving around the ring of Kerry and the ring of Skellig. It is literally at 15 mins drive from the Killarney National Park and there are plenty of nice places do dine in the area or to go for a pint.
Review 9:A mirror opposite of the drive to see oncoming traffic from the right would be handy.
Review 10:The room and the cottage are absolutely beautiful. The landlords are extremely friendly and are happy to go the extra mile!
Review 11:Very beautiful b&b, lovely owners that take great care of their guests. Happy to help out for suggestions for trips. Wonderful breakfast with organic ingredients cooked by Ulrike & JJ. A beautiful garden. Any time we would stay there again.
Review 12:It is farther from town for food so be prepared to drive or pay for taxi.
Review 13:This B&B is gorgeous! So cute and the flowers are fantastic! The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast options and size were delicious! The hosts were helpful and gave some great tips! Would recommend for sure!
Review 14:Ulrike and J.J. were fabulous hosts and prepared the most wonderful breakfasts. Our double room was spacious and impeccably clean, with well thought out touches. We especially liked the two separate duvets on the bed, just as we are each used to our own set of blankets at home. Ulrike gave us some very good tips on touring the Ring of Kerry and the Skelling Ring (don't miss this, it's the best part!). Outdoor gardens were beautiful and location was peaceful.
Review 15:Nothing we didn't like. Wish I were there right now.
Review 16:This little B&B was our favorite of our trip. The owners JJ and Ulrike are lovely, and have built a very comfortable home and inn. Spacious and airy rooms, large bathrooms, huge windows. And Ulrike's breakfast is great. Best we had. Beautiful garden that she takes great pride in as well. Also incredibly helpful with suggestions about the area.
Review 17:I booked the twin room which is actually like a little apartment. It comes with a private entrance, kitchenette, and is wheelchair accessible if needed. I didn't need that but I was happy not to lug my suitcases up a flight of stairs.
Review 18:During our stay at Beaufort B&B we enjoyed the peaceful and stunning views from our room. It was always warm and inviting and the owners are so kind. Each morning Ulrike made us fresh scones as well as our breakfast of choice from the menu. We had 6 options each morning one being an Irish breakfast which was lovely. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels for us. It is very clean and very welcoming and we would definitely go again. The owners, Ulrike and JJ, were also very helpful in giving us information about the area and activities to do.
Review 19:Wifi not quite strong enough in upstairs bedroom.

They give you five different choices and each one was better than the next. Right near the Gap of Dunloe and about 10 minutes from Killarney. Clean room and house!!! Everything was spotless! Very comfortable room!
Review 24:Make sure you lock in your nightly rates before you stay.
Review 25:This B&B is located in the beautiful Killarney countryside amidst rolling hills and farms near the gap of Dunloe.
Review 26:What a charming, inviting place to stay. Our hostess prepared wonderful breakfasts set in a beautifully decorated room. The twin bed room we stayed in had glorious views of the lush gardens. The decor was fresh, and everything was sparkling clean. We highly recommend staying here.
Review 27:Nothing really, except that on exiting the view to the road was completely blind, so extra care needed.
Review 28:We really enjoyed the quietness. The room was extremely comfortable and the whole place was decorated to a very high standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Beaufort Pub was less than 300 metres away and had excellent cuisine, so no need to drive further afield.
Review 29:Nice environment, the hosts are really nice and they even prepare the breakfast table with flowers for my sister's birthday. Great breakfast and perfect location for a trip to Kerry and Dingle.

Review 52:There wasn't a think I didn't enjoy about staying at the Beaufort B&B! It was altogether lovely!
Review 53:This was the quintessential English Garden Cottage...when we arrived we could barely see the B&B for the lovely shrubs and flowers all around her yard, beautifully manicured! It felt very cosy and inviting as we walked the stone pathway into her lovely, whitewashed walled Alpine-like Cottage look home, lovingly built by the owner, JJ. I loved the sense of serenity and care put forth into the simple wooden tables and Ikea'ish cabinetry and decor. Bright warm floral splashes of paintings added life and the rooms were equally lovely in decor...with colorful bright linens and large windows to bring in pkleanteous sunshine! Very bright, fresh and open! Beds were wonderful, ..bathrooms as well...I really liked her sense of simplistic clean styling! Made me feel refreshed! breakfast was delightful too! Porridge eaters had an immense bowl of yumminess adorned with banana slices to enjoy! A amnly sized portion! I enjoyed their scrambled eggs with sweet cherry tomatoes and herbs, and her bread basket was wonderful with homemade strawberry jam spread! Yum! <I heard no complaints about the food here whatsoever from the six in my family who stayed here with me. Uelrick and JJ were very sweet and warm and served us eagerly, meeting every need so lovingly! I felt a comfort in her lovely B&B right away. Couldn't have been happier! They gave us great recommendations too for where to dine , meeting our wishes perfectly! Kate Kearney's Cottage Restaraunt was just perfect! And not far from her door. <3 A+++
Review 54:One of the best Bed and Breakfasts we have ever stayed at. Delightful hosts, outstanding room and facilities. On the road to the Gap of Dunloe.
Review 55:Nothing not to like!
Review 56:We liked everything! The complete environmental aspects of this B&B, the clean rooms, the friendly hosts, the good advices - everything!

Review 58:The place was amazing...cosy rooms, amazing breakfast /especially home-made marmelades/, quiet sorroundings, fabulous location.
Review 59:Located very close to Gap of Dunloe, one of the most beautiful places in Ireland. The B&B is situated in a garden with full of flowers. The host is very nice, friendly and full with great tips regarding restaurants and local attractions. The room was lovely, extremely neat and tidy. Nice choice of breakfast. Everything was amazing!

Review 63:We loved the private patio and the lovely garden. The owners were so welcoming and we loved sharing their animals too. The breakfasts were very enjoyable especially the home made jams.
Review 64:Ulrike and her family couldn't be more helpful, she is an angel.Family room with kitchenette {fridge, cooker, utensils...}, very comfortable beds, warm duvets, beautiful eko-friendly place. Perfect location for trips to Dingle, Tralee, Killarney...We loved it. Thank you for making our holiday unforgetable.
Review 65:Unexpected "damage" deposit. Upfront payment via paypal orcash (no credit cards - beware). Unnecessarily bright lights throughout.Fish lovers and body tan users should avoid this hotel.
Review 66:Squeak-clean cottage in a quiet location. Close to Killarney andmountain walks. Reasonably spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen (savewashing machine), good value.
Review 67:Our charming hostess Ulrika. Delicious breakfasts, comfortable beds, immaculate rooms, friendly atmosphere, lovely gardens. We would recommend this property to friends and family.
Review 68:This is the best B&B you can get in Ireland! Hidden in the green of the Beaufort village you'll find this fantastic white Irish house. It is heavenly calm for city-dwellers like me. The beautiful Gap of Dunloe is only a stone's throw away if you go by car and at most 20 minutes if you walk. The famous Ring of Kerry starts only 1 kilometer from this B&B. Both the Dingle peninsula and the Beara peninsula are not far away if you go by car. Killarney is not far too and has at least three very good and yet affordable restaurants. 200 meters from the B&B, the Beaufort village has a good restaurant to offer. Here you can drink all sorts of whisky (though the restaurant is not always open) The rooms of the B&B are spacious, white and extremely clean and tidy. The owners make you feel at home totally. They are the kindest B&B-owners I have ever met in the ~15 countries of North-America, Europe, Africa and Asia that I have seen so far. The owners welcome you in a very warm manner every morning. Their breakfast is outstanding. Various menus can be chosen including the 'early bird' breakfast (omelette) or full Irish (including black pudding). There is also home-made marmelade, all sorts of bread including soda bread, cornflakes, fresh juice, and fruit. In addition to English, the owners also speak German and a bit French. Furthermore, they are willing to provide you with a lot of information about the environment (which beaches you should visit when you do the ring of Kerry, where you have a chance to spot dolphins, how to get to the cliffs of Moher in county Clare. They also recommended Dursey Island off the coast of Beara Peninsula, it was great!). Last but not least - at least not for Dutch people - the price is a bargain. So, discover this real gem. Note that you can trust me. I do not own stocks, this is the honest opinion of an independent and experienced traveller
