Reviews for Delphi Palace
Review 1:See above
Review 2:Locked in the BR. Not enough towels. Awful food. TV and some lights didn't work. Internet intermyyant. Mold on the tub. Bed felt like a funeral bier. Front desk staff pleasant and good view
Review 3:The pool was not always clean...
Review 4:Very very nice view from the room and terrace restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and the breakfast (buffet and "à la carte") was great.
Review 5:The bathroom needs renovation, and the furniture is rather old. The TV hasn't got any signal and the pool is falling apart. The breakfast is very poor, with the only exemption that you can order an omelette. It seems like a lost chance.
Review 6:The view from our room was majestic, and the personel tries its best to make you feel comfortable.
Review 7:Very old and worn hotel. Arrived at 3.00pm I hour after arrival time and room was not ready for another half hour. TV did not work. Pool and outside area needed a lot of work. Airconditioning controlled by them and was very cold.
Review 8:The View Room was okay.
Review 9:- An old building that would need a complete restyling of the furniture; also the swimming pool gave the feeling of unkempt and unclean - I had to pay by cash because the pos was not working (a clear excuse to have cash) - At the checking out, the reception says that the invoice will arrive directly to my email address: I'm still waiting for it!
Review 10:- A perfect location, walking distance from Delphi, outside the trafficated streets of the town. - A nice terrace, with a beautiful view on the valley - Large rooms with a very clean bathroom
Review 11:Hotel had supposedly "lost" reservation. Put us in a double instead of a triple. A.C., fridge and Wi-Fi were not working. Terrible night. Changed rooms for second night, central A.C. very noisy blowing only fetid air. Had to fight with staff so they would accept credit card. Stay away.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:The receptionist asked for more money than quoted on the booking.com reservation. My husband stood his ground. They then wanted to take an impression of our credit card with an old fashioned carbon copy type machine which would not be secure. They didn't bother lighting up their sign at night. We had to tell them that the water in the shower was lukewarm. The TV signal was dreadful, a problem they've had for 4 months. The breakfast was adequate but the staff sat in the kitchen smoking until I knocked on the door to ask for milk.
Review 14:The hotel was clean. The receptionists were friendly and competent but are having to cope with organisational problems.
Review 15:The hotel is charming, but very dated, but enjoyed swimming alone in the pool.
Review 16:Position of the Hotel, views, the staff were very helpful, 3 minutes walk to the village. Very quiet.
Review 17:Breakfast was the worst ever. Lack of effort, spread was poor, quality was poor. It was deemed as cursory. Bed quality was very poor. Mattress was extremely soft and very old. Poor sleep quality. Television do not work and cable tv is not working. NO HOT Water! Had to take cold showers. Hotel has constant smoking smell due to heating. Hence, must be prepared to be SMOKED for several hours while staying in it. The hotel is just playing off its historical significance and doesn't make an effort to improve its condition. Very poor overall. Family runned and trying to squeeze every cent out of existing amenities. Due for a big time overhaul!
Review 18:The view was good. But every other hotel has a good view as well. The hotel was old, quaint and cosy feel.
Review 19:The dirty bathroom, tatty interior and exterior and a general feeling of an unloved hotel. Breakfast terrible the cooked dishes never arrived the waiter was unkempt and look dirty. The two water earns were filthy need a really good clean. Old is no excuse for poor cleanliness. I suspect most visitors stay a night and leave or are on a coach trip. Had to logon to next door hotel for WiFi. Hot water took 10 minutes to come through.
Review 20:Receptionists welcome great and helpful, the view of the sea in the distance.
Review 21:Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.
Review 22:Beautiful scenery on the valley, down to the Gulf, with peculiar light in the mornings and evenings. Large, very comfortable rooms, with wood floor and balconies on valley side. Nice bar and garden places. Large seasonal swimming pool. Helpful staff. Good, rich breakfast. Within walking distance to village centre. Best value for money. Free parking.
Review 23:Hotel tended to have large coach groups so on two of my 3 days I was sharing with a reasonably full hotel with early breakfast and plenty of hot water, on the third day I was on my own, with little hot water and enforced late breakfast. Minor points but did feel a little neglected on the nearly empty day.
Review 24:Found on arrival that fridge was not working. Mentioned this to receptionist and it was fixed immediately. Good prompt service which was appreciated.
Review 25:It seems this hotel had wonderfull past. Today is a bit left over his own history.
Review 26:Pool, breakfast and terrace. Beds were conformtable as well. Huge hotel with a lot of amenities.
Review 27:The swimming pool was really very dirty. A part of the hotel is not used and looks terrible. No service in swimming pool.
Review 28:Location/view is great and quite close to the village centre.
Review 29:Being on the top floor, the wifi did not work well at all. We went down to the restaurant lounge area to have a coffee and use it there where there was a good strength of signal. They should have warned us the water was being turned off (if possible) as it was in the morning before checkout time.
Review 30:Fantastic views. Off street Parking right outside the motel. Breakfast had a good selection. Not far to archeological site, though you should drive there if you can. Staff were very helpful.
Review 31:The hotel is quite old and so are furniture and services. No soap in the bathroom and the wc was not flushing. No wifi in the room. Certainly not at a level of a 4 star hotel.
Review 32:The hotel is well located, few minutes walking from the town and the archeological site. The view from the terrace is fantastic and the staff was very kind.
Review 33:Staff
Review 34:You can't put on or of the airco
Review 35:very friendly staff,, Nice view, peacefull
Review 36:NONE
Review 37:The food was outstanding and the restaurant staff was at a 5 star level.
Review 38:No elevator, but it is only 2 stories high.
Review 39:Fantastic view from all rooms - best in Delphi.
Review 40:All !
Review 41:facilities need a bit of a face lift, but on the other hand it is also a part of the charm
Review 42:great location very friendly staff good rooms
Review 43:The hotel was in terrible condition...furniture, walls, bathroom (no hot water), drapes. Screws were sticking out of the floor. The lighting was horrible. Insufficient number of electrical outlets. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Greece and the worst. This is not a 4 star hotel as stated on booking.com. At best, it is a 1 or 2 star hotel.
The Fine Print
