Reviews for St Mounts Boutique Hotel

Review 1:Nothing terrible, but in need of some "refreshing". Tiles loose in ensuite, tiny ensuite, paint peeling in places. Dinner "ok". Window in bedroom to public internal space - had to keep curtains pulled for privacy.

Review 2:Friendly staff, interesting decor, comfy bed. Cheaper than most options available to us.

Review 3:Everything including the booking. Com responses

Review 4:The ensuite was not acceptable and I question if the building meets all relevant legal standards. The "cleanliness" was abysmal. The staff did not handle our request to cancel well and charged us for one nights accommodation which I accepted. However booking.com has also charged us for 2 nights accommodation - 3 nights accommodation charges for unacceptable, unclean accommodation we did not want. The 4 star rating is misleading. I question the legality of booking.com charges. I will be requesting s refund for 2 nights accommodation.

Review 5:The hotel mentioned in its facilities it had an indoor pool which wasn't there . Breakfast was very basic which I would have expected better for the price . The surrounds were littered with cigarette butts which I found disappointing also .

Review 6:Room was comfortable private.

Review 7:Room was a bit draughty

Review 8:Friendly staff, lovely restaurant on site, lovely pieces of antique furniture in room, choice of sitting rooms to relax in, complimentary tea/coffee, chocolate & slice.

Review 9:When checking in the staff didn't seem interested. They quickly took our payment then we had to ask for the key to our room, we even had to ask where the room was! We didn't see a staff member for the rest of our stay. The room was very small. No information in the room about Blackheath or the surrounding area. Wouldn't recommend nor stay at the St Mounts Boutique Hotel again. Very expensive for what it is.

Review 10:Super comfy bed! Even though our room was at the front of the motel right next to the highway I haven't slept so well for a very long time.

Review 11:Beautiful boutique hotel; friendly staff; lovely relaxing shared room areas for reading, relaxing. Even a large toy box supplied for any young children. The large gardens were beautiful to walk around in. The restaurant food and service was fantastic. We had the spa room at the back, and could not hear any street noise from there. Highly recommended.

Review 12:As we had the smallest guestroom, No. 6, our bathroom was very tiny. The shower did make a little bit of a mess as there was no seperate area. The room was still charming and cosy.

Review 13:Loved the property and the boutique feel. The living area was great with tea and cake for us each day. The breakfast in the morning whilst simple was so very enjoyable. Hopefully next time we can get a slightly bigger room :)

Review 14:Unfortunately we had the front room, so herd trucks passing all night, and no window open, so if you are a light sleeper like me its no go, but our friend over the hall slept through it all, if you are a light sleeper ask for rooms at the back of property.

Review 15:A very handy location to all of Blackheath shops and restaurants, staff are very friendly, the décor is old world charm.

Review 16:Shower, toilet cubicle in the queen room was rediculously small. Road noise was quite loud and the only window to open is a door that would have caused more noise if open and it opens onto a public verandah. Breakfast very basic.

Review 17:The Italian restaurant was delightful. Welcoming staff. Furnishing is quaint. King size rooms looked quite large and further away from the traffic noise.

Review 18:N/A

Review 19:The service was excellent and staff was very easy going. The rooms are very vintage and their facilities were great, had a very home-like style environment. Would definitely come back and would recommend this place.

Review 20:Cleanliness could be improved. The mirror on the closet in our room is bit dirty, not a big deal but that can easily improve.

Review 21:The hotel is great! Such a cool little hotel. It is a heritage building with great facilities and cool bedrooms. The restaurant was amazing, what a nice surprise. Thank you!

Review 22:The restaurant was fabulous, entrée, mains and dessert were all excellent

Review 23:Friendly welcome at the door and quick tour of the hotel. Brilliant meals in cosy restaurant in-house.

Review 24:It was such a relaxed environment and with attention to detail. Everything was very good

Review 25:breakast lady smoking outside is not an appeal

Review 26:quiet setting

Review 27:Lovely quaintness and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely personal touches and facilities

Review 28:Staff friendly, helpful, and adaptable. Excellent menu in the restaurant. Lounge area comfortable and well equipped.
