Reviews for Hermes Hotel

Review 1:We arrived 1 hour later than the normal check in time and our room wasn't ready yet. Our room became available around 16:00. We came back at the hotel around 2:00 am after a night and our room keys were left unattended on the reception desk without anyone being there... We could literally hear other tenants going to the toilet...

Review 2:Good location

Review 3:The breakfast should have been on the terrase with wonderful view (rather than inside) but it was ok.

Review 4:We had a suite (4 persons) with a very view from the terrasse. Quiet, big bathroom, clean

Review 5:Hot water ran out when I took a shower after 10pm. They would not take a credit or debit card despite it being flagged on the paperwork. No amount of persuasion worked. Very disappointing

Review 6:The location was great.

Review 7:There is no elevator for the upper 2 floors. They do have a young man on staff to help with luggage most of the time.

Review 8:The hotel premises and rooms are beautifully built, with an awesome view. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony overlooking the valley, enjoying wine and cheese purchased across the street. We opted to spend an extra night here after the fast paced 3 day classical tour. The staff helped us pre-arrange for a taxi to the train station the next morning, as we continued on to Meteora. Breakfast was adequate with breads, cheese, coffee/tea, and hard boiled eggs. Our beds were comfortable, but our traveling companions complained of a hard bed. On checkout, the staff asked to be paid in euros; would not take a credit card charge.

Review 9:BALCONY WAS NOT PRIVATE, SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO ADJACENT ROOMS BALCONIES. PARKING BY HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE APART FROM DROP OFF LUGGAGE OR PEOPLE AND THEN DIFFICULT.

Review 10:BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND PLENTIFUL AND INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. OWNER WAS HELPFUL WITH LOCAL INFORMATION. GOOD LOCATION FOR DELFI SITE.

Review 11:The hotel is in the center of town and an easy walk to the Delphi site. The owners are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent and served in a large light room with a fantastic view down the valley to the sea. Our room also had a balcony and fantastic view.

Review 12:Parking can be a bit difficult, generally better to unload cases at hotel then look for a parking place, we tended to park at the west side of town where there is usually more space available.

Review 13:The view is the star attraction for this hotel. Good buffet breakfast.

Review 14:Very convenient to ruins of Delphi and service was excellent. Tula was very helpful answering our questions about everything from touring to improving our Greek skills. The view over the valley and back to Sea of Corinth was fantastic.

Review 15:Bad Shower. No attachment - just have to hose yourself down :(

Review 16:Amazing view from balcony, beautiful location in the middle of the town. Friendly staff and decent breakfast.

Review 17:-not so rich breakfast -no flat TV in the room

Review 18:-location -good and comfortable room -staff -big dicount the the hotel shop for the guests -good view from the room -cleanliness -WI-FI all over

Review 19:Shower was very small and had to sit down to use the head since it was not attached to the wall.

Review 20:Probably the best views from the balcony you will ever see from a hotel. We walked to the sight of Delphi in about 10 minutes and walked up and down the street shopping and eating never being more then 200 meters from the hotel. great staff, breakfast, internet, and location.

Review 21:1. the bed is very squeeky, that wakes you up even for your own movements. 2. only cash accepted. 3. basic and not and american breakfast (just mortadella and some kind of cheese and boiled egg); some pie, yoghurt; bad coffee, just 1 kind of tea.

Review 22:1. very good view to the bay and mountain from the room. 2. thoughfully aranged room; not a very big room, but you have more than enough place for everything. 3. medium large bathroom with bathtub. 4. everything was clean. 5. kind manager, speaks english too.

Review 23:Maybe just a British thing but the shower head is not attached to the wall. :)

Review 24:The staff greeted us with the same smile and warmth you get from a lot of Greeks and that’s not a bad thing. My partner and I were happy that the room, the view and the facilities were all as stated when making a booking. During our stay we enjoyed breakfast and most of all the views of Delphi. Given the chance I would return, the staff made sure we felt at home and not a hotel. σας ευχαριστώ!

Review 25:Wifi just in the lobby

Review 32:poor breakfast

Review 33:close to archeological site.

Review 34:Some problems with the WiFi connection but we have encountered that all over Greece.

Review 35:Great location and warm welcome.

Review 36:no fridge

Review 37:great view

Review 38:Centrally located hotel. It's entrance and balcony area are quite lovely. Clean basic room and amenities.

Review 39:nothing!

Review 40:central location in town with the most AMAZING views I've ever seen. Room lovely and walking distance to Delphi site

Review 41:Location, value, view.

Review 42:The view was amazing!

Review 43:The place is amazing and the room as well. The breakfast was good and the view incredible.

Review 44:Town didn't have much in the way of nightlife

Review 45:Great Location and Breakfast Terrace

Review 46:Breakfast was included with yogurt on a terrace with a great view. Nice staff and conveniently close to the ruins.

Review 47:Despite my request, the staff was unable to provide me the invoice.

Review 48:Good position

Review 49:Our fourth stay, still as comfortable and pleasant as ever

Review 50:Nothing really.

Review 51:Location. Staff.

Review 52:Nothing

Review 53:Loved our stay there. Staff directed us to a taverna close by which served traditional food based on family recipes made with locally sourced ingredients - yummy- and with a spectacular view over to the Bay of Corinth. Sensational view from our bedroom also. Highly recommend.

Review 54:The staff was uninterested in its guests. The room appointments had seen better days. The wifi was weak and not useful

Review 55:The view from the room was nice.

Review 56:The lack of fresh fruit at breakfast.

Review 57:The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating to our needs and lent us a local walking map. The views from room balcony were wonderful and the hotel location was ideal for a visit to Delphi and to do an excellent walk to Corycean caves.

Review 58:Our room had no heat. The shower was - well, there was really no shower. A dribble of water came out that was cold. No tv at all.

Review 59:The staff was very nice. Pretty good breakfast. Pretty good view of Delphi port from our room.

Review 60:The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was kept tidy every day. The breakfast is very nice and the hotel rooms that look out onto the valley are priceless - so peaceful. One gets a great and restful sleep.

Review 61:It was a bit strange that the owners asked what time we wanted to havehot water but due to the fact that is not high season and Greek peopleare struggling to survive because of the economical crisis, this isunderstandable.

Review 62:The location was great. We had a room with a fantastic view and in themorning breakfast was served in a big room with the same anazing viewand filled with the light of the sun. The hotel is family run and theowners are very kind and try to be helpful.

Review 63:Room is on the small side.

Review 64:Located right in town with many shops and restaurants which open late even on the shoulder season. Walkable to the Delphi museum and archeological site but a longer walk to the Temple of Athena. Breakfast is nice and served on a large terrace.

Review 65:Incredible views of the mountains and valley from both our private balcony and the large, shared balcony. Clean, modern, a wonderful place to stay when visiting the oracle ruins at Delphi!

Review 66:Our non-smoking room smelt of smoke the whole time. Sleepless nights due to very thin walls. At times it sounded like someone was in your room!

Review 67:Excellent view from the room. Good breakfast buffet.

Review 68:The beds are simple, not very convinient. Accomodation is very basic.

Review 69:The view to the mountains was outstanding. The atmosphere of a family-run hotel. I would definetely recommend it to people who travel to Delphi. The family members who own and run the hotel are nice.

Review 70:The beds were not very comfortable and altough we specifically asked fora double bed, we got twin beds. Only payment in cash, no credit cardbilling (even if you book via booking.com, they still make you pay incash during the check out).

Review 71:You get what you pay for: one of the cheaper hotels in the Delphoiregion, so no super luxury rooms but good basic rooms. Everything was alittle outdated but very clean. The breadfast was sober but ok since itwas included in the (cheap) price. Nice mountainview.

Review 72:this hotel is on the main street in delphi and commands wonderful views of the mountains and valleys,it is very close indeed to the ruins of dephi and obviously to the village centre.the rooms were very clean although a bit dated . the staff were excellent, ,my only gripe was that the breakfast could have been better.

Review 73:Balcony and location were both very nice. Staff was helpful and pleasant.

Review 74:Hard beds

Review 75:Great views from the room.

Review 76:Nothing. The place was terrific.

Review 80:Friendly staff and great breakfast

Review 81:The view of our bedroom was fantastic!!!
