Reviews for Hotel Casa Blanca Inn
Review 1:Our shower didn't work, there was not free flowing water.
Review 2:Location was perfect to get to the airport. Free transfer included, which was super easy to organise. The hotel felt secure. Great eggs for breakfast. Staff were helpful.
Review 3:(a) They had arranged a transfer for us from Guatemala city. The transfer never showed up. Calls to the front desk went unanswered for half an hour, and then we hired a taxi ourselves. (To be fair: it was Dec 25, Christmas day.) (b) The breakfast was below-par for this price level: just some fruit and toast and jam. Not even any eggs (they were available as extra menu items). (c) Bed was uncomfortable for me.
Review 4:Great location a couple blocks from central plaza. (But Antigua is so small that almost no location would be bad.) Staff is good and friendly. The colonial architecture is nice.
Review 5:The staff were very welcoming, they have a lovely garden and cooked me a great dinnner. As a solo traveller they cared for me very well with a smile at 4,.30 in the morning to take me to the airport
Review 6:Free airport pickup/drop-off by very punctual and nice driver. 5min away from airport. Clean & basic rooms for a good price. Safe guarded neighboorhood.
Review 7:The staff picked us up at the airport in their van, which was very helpful because we arrived late, and was not familiar with the area. The restaurant & bar was open so we could eat/drink, and a wonderful breakfast was included.
Review 8:The staff were fantastic and room was lovely. For an extra fee, the staff take you on a terrific tour of the city. They did everything they could to make our short stay an enjoyable one.
Review 9:Staff was great in helping getting another night's lodging after I had to change my travel arrangements due to a bus company error. I left my back by mistake in the hotel's van the next morning (it was 5AM) and the hotel staff safely guarded by bag until I had time two days later to pick it up.
Review 10:Shower only had cold water the first morning I was here, but that issue was resolved when I returned several days later.
Review 11:The hotel is literally blocks away from the airport and the shuttle service is excellent. Pleasant and helpful staff.
Review 12:I was charged Q5 per minute for calls to the U.S. but upon check out was told that the calls were Q10 per minute and that I owed them money. Not sure if they were taking advantage because I was foreign but they should have corrected their mispricing right when it happened, not the day after..
Review 13:Complementary breakfast, which was delicious, very clean and cozy, and they have free airport shuttle service.
Review 14:It was the perfect place to spend the night before an early getaway at the airport next morning. Because I did not need much - just a clean comfortable bed and hot shower - the small hotel suited me perfectly, all for a very reasonable cost. With only a handful of rooms the service was very personal eg my wakeup call was a discreet knock on the door by a nice gentleman who also collected my bags and drove me to the airport. After years of blaring wake-up calls and needing to phone reception for assistance with bags, it was a lovely change (and nice to know you are not paying for all the unnecessary overheads of large hotel chains). The whole experience from welcome to departure was charming. Because I wouldn't have time for breakfast in the morning, I was offered my breakfast the night before. There is something comforting about eating a plate of scrambled huevos in your room at 9:00 at night. If in Guatemala City again I would definitely stay at Casa Blanca. The two lounges were very nice and private, and a tiny but nice outdoor area beckoned but no time to enjoy them.
Review 15:Quiet and safe place. Great location to reach the airport. Staff is helpful and very kind. We have arrived late at night, and they prepared food, even the restaurant was closed. The place is safe and there is a shuttle service to the airport.
Review 16:If you want to be in the very center of town and you appreciate a friendly staff (and good value), I can't imagine a better option. Rafael is knowledgeable of the area and happy to give recommendations... and you must try the empanadas, amazing!
Review 17:The hotel was really noisy and I think the staff could have done more to ask the guests checking in at 24.30 not to speak so loudly. The water in the shower was only hot for a few minutes
Review 18:Location and free shuttle are excellent
Review 19:In a gated area (which was great) but no other restaurants, stores, anything so kind of locked in the hotel.
Review 20:The hotel was super clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very close to the airport which was great at 4 am.
Review 21:Dinner Mar y Tierra was in my view overpriced for quantity. Had been told this would be a meal for two but turned out to barely be a meal for one. Had to go for the burger, that was fair value for money.
Review 22:The flexibility of booking arrangements allowed me to stay two nights skip one then stay third and last prebooked night with no additional charges. Clean. Secure. Free parking and WiFi. Overall highly recommend.
Review 23:Nothing in the neighbourhood, no shops, no bars, no restaurants except for the hotel; would only stay there, if you arrive late on the airport or have to be there early, then it's great.
Review 24:Very close to the airport, shuttle service offered, breakfast included, hotel has a restaurant, beds very comfy, friendly staff, very clean, small and family-run
Review 25:Choice of piped in music...filtered to the room a bit.
Review 26:Convenience, safety, free shuttle to airport (even at 4:30 a.m.!), free breakfast, English speaking at front desk. Good value.
Review 27:Quiet. Kitchen made good hamburgers. Expected a simple breakfast, but kitchen went all out. $15-$20 value. Staff eager to please. Found trustworthy taxi drivers every time. Several areas for lounging when not in the room. Looking forward to returning.
Review 28:The shuttle driver did not come up to my room as scheduled to take me to the airport for my flight. An oversight. I sought him out and arrived in plenty of time.
Review 29:Location, clean, quiet, restaurant available for a late night meal upon my arrival.
Review 30:Nothing. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it's clean and comfortable. Perfect for one or two day stay.
Review 31:This hotel is just minutes from the airport. Free breakfast is included and also free WiFi.
Review 32:The food in the restaurant is good, but the menu is limited. There are no restaurants in the secure neighborhood so you have to go into another neighbood if you are forging for food.
Review 33:This is a great hotel close to the airport. It is in a secure neighborhood and within walking distance to the airport. There is a free airport shuttle, but if you elect to walk, it is in walking distance.
Review 34:It was a bit stark in decoration, but otherwise no complaints!
Review 35:We arrived late at the hotel after riding on an 8 hour bus ride into the city the night before an early flight. The staff were very nice, helped us with our bags, and offered us "breakfast for dinner" when we told them we'd have to leave before breakfast was to be served the morning of our flight (breakfast was included in the hotel price). The hotel was nice and in a safe location- gated community 3 minutes from the airport. We were buzzed in which added to making us feel safe. The bed was the most comfortable we had on our trip and the bathroom was very clean and good quality (great shower). There was a TV which was nice since we got in late and had "dinner" in our room. The hotel was air conditioned.
Review 36:Shuttle was included in the price. I e mailed them the time of my flight arrival they said they would be outside waiting for me but no one showed up. Waited 40 minutes then called the hotel. Wasnt impressed as it was night time and Guatemala is a dangerous city. They didnt apologise which annoyed me. Not great service considering the price paid. Feels like someone's house with all the furniture.
Review 37:Room was clean. Near to airport.
Review 38:nice staff, very helpful and attentive. Shuttle to airport available any time. When going to GUA city and I need a hotel near the airport I will stay there again! And it's in a gated community, highly recommend them!
Review 39:Casa Blanca Inn is our choice of hotel when we come to Guatemala. It is located just outside the airport that you can actually walk or a shuttle will pick you up and take you there. It is located in a guarded gated community. The rooms are clean and spaceous. The price includes wifi, and breakfast. As travelers we stay here on arrive and depart Guatemala.
Review 40:The hotel may wide the menu in order to please people of different cultures.
Review 41:The service, you can count on the staff, the hotel has capacity for planning some sightseeing in Guatemala City.
Review 42:Booked Queen room, but put in a double room. Staff member rude when I asked for the room I had booked. No internet access from the 2nd room. (First small room, internet worked fine) Said yes to recommend, but this would be if only in transit.
Review 43:Location to airport was very close, yet not that loud for being next to the airport. The beds & pillows were very comfortable, hot hot water in the shower. Kitchen staff very friendly and tasty food, thanks. Good for overnight transit. Very secure and safe location.

Review 109:Excellent staff. They waited for me at the airport for over 2 hours as my plan from Honduras was delayed. good value for money - a clean and cheap hotel. I would recommend it to anybody.
Review 110:The room (#6) was SO noisy, I could barely sleep, I heard every footstep upstairs, every shower and I think the bar or kitchen backs up to the room, so if your looking for sleep, don't stay in this room. The food for dinner was mediocre.
Review 111:The location to the airport is excellent, especially for a morning flight. They offer free shuttle service. The room was basic and clean, had everything you needed for a short stay. There is a bar and restaurant available.
Review 112:Pillows are too thick and hard. Air conditioning was loud.
Review 113:The friendliest and most accommodating staff met on all our travels. They went out of their way to help us when our transfer shuttle did not come. They offered free shuttle on first airport pick up and then had very affordable and reliable shuttle service in the city. We couldn't stay for breakfast so they prepared food to go.
Review 114:Room was too hot. Air conditioning didn't work. Fan didn't get room cool enough. Left windows open but they weren't screened so got bitten by mosquitos. Gated community not close to any restaurants or shops.
