Reviews for Cavalieri del Tau
Review 1:The town that the hotel is located, is close to the highway and there is free parking so it is really convenient and cheap if you have a car to visit Lucca (and the summer festival as we did), Pisa and the sandy beaches of the area.
Review 2:Where do these hotels get their 3 star rating from? We are walking the Via Francigina & each night stay in a new town. Why is it that when we walk in, hot from walking with backpacks, we seem to be given the worst room in the hotel? Decor & furnishings very poor & need replacing. AC barely worked despite being on all night. Carpet was very marked & I slept on top of the bed because there was not a cover on the mattress & had bites the next morning. I told the male re epitomise we had the worst room in the hotel but he was not bothered.
Review 3:Hotel on via Francigina route. Evening receptionist was more helpful & better customer care. She phoned for our next day accommodation in the next town.
Review 4:The whole place is in need of a makeover. The room was tiny and some attempt had been made Tomane it cheerful but it was all a bit tacky. Bathroom was fine.
Review 5:Staff were lovely and had a good meal in the restaurant
Review 6:Rooms, floors, elevator should see some investment. The carpet in our room was stained, everything is kind of old fashioned. Nevertheless, we had a good night's rest and the room itself was clean.
Review 7:Reception staff was friendly. Entrance hall looks better than the rest of the floors. Good location, close to the center of town and to the Via Francigena. In absolute terms it is of course by far not the best hotel we've ever stayed ut. But the good location and the friendliness of the staff make up for some of the problems with the old infrastructure.
Review 8:everything was good for the price.
Review 9:Motel style accommodation very good value for money. Evening meal excellent. Staff were lovely.
Review 10:The staff was very nice Safe parking Big rooms and very clean
Review 11:They had turned the air conditioning off on 1 Sept so it was far too hot to sleep. The staff were unable to turn it on.
Review 12:Location and evening meal
Review 13:Shower is old and bad equipped.
Review 14:Nothing special, but was good enough for it's price. Friendly staff.
Review 15:Some solutions in the room. I.e Lightning and.pretty small shower cab.
Review 16:Good location and nice staff
Review 17:No curtains on bedroom window
Review 18:Good value for money and an excellent breakfast
Review 19:Great location wonderful helpful staff
Review 20:Need some refurbishing Breakfast
Review 21:Close to railway station and highway Good value
Review 22:Doors that would not open, expensive, pathetic breakfast, masonite doors and rough carpet...1 star at best.
Review 23:Nothing
Review 24:Breakfast-nothing but coffee and cake
Review 25:Cost-to-value,easy access to highway to Pisa
Review 26:Not much of a bar, but we did get beer at the end of a long day's walking!
Review 27:Luggage sent to wrong hotel and manageress collected it for us. Put tables together to accommodate our large party and coped with greater numbers at dinner than had been ordered for. Very helpful staff throughout
Review 28:Cleanliness Room very small Breakfast (no ham or cheese, no fruit, industrial orange juice, disguting coffee) No connection to Wifi in the room
Review 29:Highway proximity
Review 30:No air conditioning in room. When the window was opened for air, cigarette smoke came in from the guest next door. Evening meal inrestaurant was very disappointing. Everything came in the wrong order(waiter brought main course first, then appetizer and salad last)-thewaiter was very poor and did not acknowledge his mistakes- he justabandoned us. Very poor service!
Review 31:The room was updated and very nice. Shower was the best we have seen yetin Italy. Front desk staff very nice. Breakfast very good.
Review 32:The mold in the corner of both rooms was unacceptable. Carpet was nasty - didnt trust taking off my socks or clothes. I almost cried when we walked in our room, but almost checked out when I saw our kids room (which was worse, especially with the ceiling almost caving in in the bathroom) - but we were so tired and didn't have the energy to look for something else since we checked in at 2:am, after driving 8 hours. Breakfast the next morning was super lame. The juice machine was broken and so was the coffee machine. If I was a backpacker, this might have been ok, however the pictures on-line made me expect something nicer. This was a huge disappointment and would never recommend it to a friend or family member.
