Reviews for Acropole Delphi Hotel
Review 1:Little bit old walls in the room.
Review 2:The view from our room was amazing, unreal, beautiful! The hotel is very nice, warm, comfortable! The stuff were very polite, food was nice!!! I put 10 from 10! And also the hotel is very close to bus station!
Review 3:nothing!
Review 4:every thing but the view over the gorge was amazing and the kindness, courtesy and willingness of staff was more than 100% perfect!. They even helped us to find a trasport back to Athens due that there were no intercity buses that day!! Thank you so much!. Sorry i did not ask the name of the helpfull lady ! Thank you!
Review 5:Fantastic location, it was incredibly beautiful, quiet and our view was great. We had to leave very early in the morning, before breakfast started and the staff made sure we grabbed something for the road. So nice!
Review 6:Parking close to the hotel is limited - could be a problem in the peak season. Otherwise everything was very good.
Review 7:Great location, beautiful views from the balconies, excellent breakfast. Ten minute walk down the hill to the ruins. Staff very helpful and spoke good english.
Review 8:The noise from the front desk and dining area echoes through the hallways, we were woken up very early because the people having breakfast were talking and laughing and we could hear everything. The shower was not ideal either (but it seems to be common around Greece).
Review 9:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, we had rented a car to get us from Athens to Delphi and we did not need it once while we were in Delphi since everything is walking distance. The view from our room was amazing.
Review 10:We had made an error in our travel plans and arrived a day early. The staff were understanding and reassuring, and were quick to accommodate us. The hotel was in easy walking distance of the Delphi site (5 to 10 minutes walk) and our balcony views across the valley were spectacular.
Review 11:breakfast was very poor and cold including coffee despite complaining to the staff. website advertised bedroom all with wrought iron four poster and wooden beams. none of that and bedroom was soul less and needs upgrade
Review 12:amazing gorge view
Review 13:The size of the shower area is small. It's not an issue to us but to others may matter
Review 14:The views and location are excellent. The staff were helpful too.
Review 15:Shower was tiny (about 2.5 ft squared) but had lots of hot water.
Review 16:Room was excellent with a balcony overlooking the gorge - view was fantastic. Generous space in the room. Location of the hotel was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 17:Friendly staff, helpful. I wasn't feeling well and they allowed me a late checkout without charge. Situation of hotel lower than Main Street, meant great views and quietness.
Review 18:TV didn't work (didn't really matter though) Breakfast quite simple
Review 19:Perfect location: 200m from bus stop, 500m from archaeological sites! Great views from room
Review 20:we had a lovely time in the hotel. it was VERY clean and the view of the gorge from our room was stunning. the staff were really nice and helpful and pleasant
Review 21:.Slightly worn- but beds good, linens new and staff great
Review 22:Great location and the deck is outstanding. We brought up happy hour snacks and it was the best sunset. Note to travelers- the Parthenon and acropolis and right there in your view. We hesitated going up because of the heat. It was really not so bad!
Review 23:VERY friendly staff. Wonderful room. Clean and very nice! Great breakfast! The View is divine. Best wAy to see Delphi! Rest here and refresh your soul looking out over the gorge. Then catch the morning bus to Athens. You will not regret it.
Review 24:Breakfast was average but didn't bother us because it is a cheap hotel.
Review 25:Lovely staff, great location, stunning view. They recommended a great restaurant for us to have dinner.
Review 26:Nothing
Review 27:We got a family sized room with balcony over the fabulous view. It was worth the extra expense. On a quiet street below the main road. Parking in front of the hotel. A well-kept and spacious hotel.
Review 28:It is the best view in Delphi as the hotel is placed on the lower street so that the houses don't prevent watching the gorge and the bay. The rooms are comfortable, it is quite cool even on the hottest day. The reception works all day round and you may ask for help whenever you need it. Especially we are greatful to Effy - she was very friendly and helpful. Good value for money; spacious rooms, hot water, wi-fi and breakfast are really good. We've been in 4 hotels in Delphi and liked this one most of all. Recommend it without hesitation.
Review 29:The views from our balcony were simply breathtaking (photos give you a clue, but really do not do them justice). The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was great. Really wish we could've stayed more than one day!
Review 30:The breakfast was a little sub-par. Particularly compared to all the wonderful breakfasts we have had on our entire trip this was the least interesting. The food was fresh but very limited and some of the items were served cold. Also finding parking is an issue if you arrive later in the evening.
Review 31:Good location, great views and a comfortable room. Staff were courteous and helpful.
Review 32:You have to be lucky to find a place to park. We found one near the hotel.
Review 33:The staff was really great. When the buffet was raided by a big group and we couldn't find a place to sit, they brought us the food at the tables of the bar.
Review 34:The shower was small and reminiscent of the shower scene in "Psycho" (plastic shower curtain). Parking was a bit hit and miss in the narrow street in front of the hotel.
Review 35:Walking distance to the Delphi Archaeological Museum and site. Excellent WiFi. Great view from the room (balcony). Breakfast included Gluten Free bread. Air conditioning worked very well.
Review 36:Bathroom was a little compact. Tendency for water to escape from the shower if you were not very careful.
Review 37:Easy to find. Decent room with balcony and an amazing view. Helpful and welcoming staff. Would stay there again.
Review 38:Room is small. Extremely small bathroom. Breakfast is ok. Selection is accepted; but some of the items seems a little stale.
Review 39:Wifi is quite reliable. Staff are friendly. Balcony with gorge view.
Review 40:The room was comfortable, very clean, and had a fantastic view into the valley from the small balcony. We chose this hotel as we were only staying for one night and wanted something nice but not extravagant. The breakfast was quite nice, but not one of the best we had in Greece. The coffee is never great at hotel breakfasts and this one was no exception (it could do with definite improvement!).. Having said that, the wifi worked excellently, the hotel was in a great location, and the staff were very nice. Quite perfect for a quick stop at Delphi to see the ancient site.
Review 41:The breakfasts were only fair.
Review 42:The hotel is very convenient for the Archaeological sites and the town. Our room had a wonderful view down to the sea. The staff were very helpful and attentive.
Review 43:Breakfast was just ok and crowded with an unfriendly and pushy bus-tour group
Review 44:This was a clean, above average tourist class hotel with sweet balconies and stunning views. It has a bit of the ambiance of a Swiss chalet with a Greek twist and is probably as good as it gets in this little tourist town of Delphoi.
Review 45:Amazing views from our terrace, overlooking the valley below. The hotel's location is great - easy to access both the town and the archaeological sites.
Review 46:Cosy and welcoming hotel with character. Convenient but quiet street. Balcony had amazing uninterrupted view across valley to mountains and down to the sea.
Review 47:Several groups of students who happened to stay over the same night clogged WiFi networks; a situation which even the staff did not manage, but this was not their fault.
Review 48:Rooms which command an incredibly nice view of the magnificent landscape for a reasonable price.
Review 49:Amazing view from the balcony and very good location - easy to reach everything on foot. Good breakfast. Friendly staff, we got answers yo all questions.
Review 50:One of the beds in our room was a little too firm and could have done with a topper or replacement mattress. The other was fine. We sat at a table next to the door leading to the kitchen during breakfast. It kept being left open and noises of cleaning were a little distracting. Fireplace in breakfast room was not lit. Would have been nice for ambiance and because the breakfast room was a little chilly in the morning.
Review 51:View from our balcony was amazing! Enjoyed watching the sun set behind the mountains with a bottle of wine in the balcony. Woman at front desk upgrades us to a triple room from a double so we wouldn't have to be directly next to a potentially noisy school group. Very considerate. Room was warm, clean, quite, and large. Bathroom was basic but good enough for our needs. Location was great. Close to the sights but off of the main drag so it was a little quieter. Easy street parking directly in front of the hotel. Heat in room worked great! Breakfast was a standard budget hotel breakfast. Hard boiled eggs, one type of sliced meat, cheese, greek yogurt (which tasted a little off to me), delicious fresh breads, canned peaches, olives, coffee, and tea. Staff could not have been more friendly! Would definitely stay here again.
Review 52:Only Nescafe coffee on offer for breakfast and, if espresso was requested, one had to pay extra. The door to the balcony of our room did not close properly and, since it was a windy night, it blew open continuously. Consequently, although the bed was comfortable, we had no sleep.
Review 53:Excellent choice of breakfast, fantastic view, clean, wonderful central location
Review 54:The shower base is tiny and while showering the mixing tap is poking in your back
Review 55:Great reception, very friendly and helpful. Comfortable hotel, with good views, very centrally situated in town and within a 10 minute walk to the archeological sites and museum.
Review 56:front desk staff doubling up as bar person - was unfamiliar with the drinks menu and was unable to provide the listed malt whiskey
Review 57:superb views, nicely decorated and convenient location for local facilities
Review 58:This trip surpassed my expectations and the hotel contributed beautifully to that. The views are exceptional. The room very comfortable and light and spotless condition. I especially liked the checkout time of 12 where we sat on the balcony feeling no pressure to leave. Good attentive staff.
Review 59:Breakfast could be improved. Cold hard scrambled eggs, refrigerator cold boiled eggs, canned juices. Bland cheese.
Review 60:Easy to walk to the archeological site. Great view of the gulf of Corinth from the balcony.
Review 61:Located at the edge of Delphi on a street parallel to the Main Street (which has restaurants and shopping), this family run hotel has decent size rooms, small but adequate bathrooms and balconies with a stunning view over the valley and the distant Gulf of Corinth. It is only a few hundred metres to the main sites. Breakfast was very good and evening drinks are available in the hotel bar. For dinner, the hotel guests receive a 10% discount at a nearby restaurant.
Review 62:It was what can be expected for the price. It was a nice hotel with amazing views. Also within easy walking to the town, the museum, and temple of Apollo.
Review 63:Nothing.
Review 64:The stunning view from our balcony overlooking the Delphi Gorge and coastal plain - we spent ages watching the light and cloudscapes change. We also enjoyed bird watching from the balcony. The room itself was fine, the staff were always friendly, and the location was perfect for the ruins and for the town itself. Breakfasts were more limited than in most of the other places on our trip, but they were adequate.
Review 65:The beds are fine but not exceptional and the location is a bit difficult because you have to climb up a set of very steep stairs that didn't have railings. Since that was difficult for us, the staff called cabs for us whenever we wanted.
Review 66:The view from the balcony is amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They met our individual needs and made us feel at home.
Review 67:The view from the balcony was stunning, and a great place to have a drink while watching the setting sun on the Corinthian Gulf. The hotel was in a great location and we were thrilled with everything.
Review 68:A little hard to find, but manageable.
Review 69:Very nice hotel. Great view from the terrace. Kind & helpful hostess. Close to Ancient Delphi. Good breakfast. Nice restaurants on the main street - go to "Telescope" mainly for the atmosphere
Review 70:Hotel was located on lower tier of Delphi, away from all the tourist shops. Quiet and convenient location. Only 20 minutes walk to the antiquity sites. Ask for a room with balcony on back side of hotel. Wonderful breakfast buffet included.
Review 71:Bathroom was small. Shower space was quite small and water got out and the floor around the toilet, which was literally just besides the shower curtain, got wet and thus was uncomfortable.
Review 72:Wifi connection was strong. Balcony and view was great. Good location in town yet away from the main streets therefore without the noise. Breakfast spread was good.
Review 73:Very small bathroom, and shower curtain did not extend to bottom so that water spread over the bathroom floor.
Review 74:Friendly staff, cozy bar next to reception and pleasant lobby. Located on quiet street (one block from main (busy) street. Wonderful view of the valley and coast from our balcony. Room was pleasant; breakfast was good, especially considering the low price of the room.
Review 75:Wonderful view from balcony over the mountains and valley and sea. The hotel's location on the lower street of Delphi means that you have great views from many of the rooms hanging right over the mountains. Staff was warm and friendly.
Review 76:Easy to find, close to everything, yet off main road so quiet My room had magnificent view, was very comfortable Terrific staff: so helpful, genuinely friendly!
Review 77:Bathrooms were very small.Wi-fi was a little slow.
Review 78:The view from the rooms looking over the valley was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were good. Hotel very clean and well maintained. Great location could walk to the ruins of Delphi so no need to take the car.
Review 79:The bathroom was small but functional
Review 80:We where greeted in a very friendly manner. The room had a great view from the balcony and it was a great treat to sleep with windows open and no air conditioning and noise. We spent 3 nights there seeing the sights( which are all within walking distance) and relaxing.
Review 81:The hostess was very nice. Explained everything about the area and the hotel. Recommended a good restaurant that gave us a discount. It was a bit hard to find the hotel even with the navigator.
Review 82:Ancient bathroom. The floor tiles are deadly when wet. Cooked breakfast...when it's gone it's gone.
Review 83:Quiet location, fantastic views, clean sheets/towels every day, pleasant reception/dining area. Reasonable price. Helpful staff.
Review 84:Poor Wi-Fi, room wasn't clean enough, hair everywhere, even in bed. You can hear everything in the rooms nearby, no soundproofing at all. Still good value for money, Ok for one night.
Review 85:Location is the best, staff very nice, breakfast Ok. Great view.
Review 86:The parking was not so relaxing, because the street in front of the hotel is very tight; no power adapter (for charging the mobile phone) near the bed;
Review 87:the people at reception very every kind, the room had balcony, the room was really ok, the breakfast was decent, overall was nice.
Review 88:Bathroom was a bit small, and the hairdryer a bit weak. Connecting to WiFi was somewhat intermittent and took a bit of doing, as there are three or so networks associated with the hotel. Minor gripes for an overall great stay.
Review 89:We had a room on the corner with a large balcony and a great view of the gorge below. Air conditioner in room was powerful and conveniently remote controlled. Staff was friendly, happily greeting us as we arrived around 12:30am.
Review 90:the breakfast is very poor for a 3 star hotel and the coffee as bad as it.
Review 91:the room was clean, staff very friendly, very good location, the view at the room to the mountains is just incredible!
Review 92:The breakfast was big but some stuff there seemed old and tasted old (especially the joghurt)
Review 93:very friendly people there, helped with everything, even printing boarding passes
Review 94:wifi was so and so in the room (4th floor), parking is on the street, which is one way, and you have to be lucky to find a place in front of the hotel. if you pass, you have to do entire circle again and come back on hotel street. Still is not a disadvantage as entire area is poor in parking places.
Review 95:location with nice view over the mountains, breakfast, good value for money. decent room with balcony. you have to climb around 40 stairs and you will find yourself right in the middle of city. we booked for 2 nights and took an additional one to discover the surroundings. Osiu Louka Monastery is 30 km by car. nice beaches in Itea and especially Galaxidi.
Review 96:The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The shower was much too small.
Review 97:The location - an easy and pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the site. The view from our balcony was spectacular.
Review 98:A fan in the bathroom could be helpful as it had no window. Other than that, eveything was great.
Review 99:The staff was great, very helpful and very smiley too. The location was also perfect, walking distance to the attractions. The view was spectacular (go for a room with a view, you will regret it if not). The room was fine, very clean and cozy (even if it was small). It had some extras too (coffee and bathroom amenities). Really good breakfast as well. Can't think of a better place to stay for a short visit in Delphi.
Review 100:We got to breakfast just before a tour party arrived. If you came down then you would have a long wait.
Review 101:Quiet location, fabulous view from our bedroom. Lift. Helpful staff who have a map of Delphi already for you. We were able to park the car nearby.
Review 102:Nothing much too dislike
Review 103:Great view with small balcony, friendly helpful staff - use their tips for restaurants. Functional hotel representing good value for money. Ski lodge furnishing adds a twist
Review 104:Parking is iffy. We were lucky - we managed to grab a spot a few street spaces from the hotel and we left our car there for the full 2-day stay.
Review 105:Location and gorgeous view - quite a magical setting in a town with an amazing history.
Review 106:It was really a short stay. Could have enjoyed more in this hotel and the lovely place.
Review 107:The first impression was the view from the balcony on the 4th floor. Beside that, the hotel is located in the lower part of the lovely town and it just takes several steps (maybe not easy for everyone) to find yourself in the main street which is rich with reaturants and little shops. The hotel is really clean and it has more than decent breakfast. I personally adorred the little croissants filled with chocolate cream. Nice and always smiling staff is more than warm and helpfull.
Review 108:Smells like raid and mothballs. WIFi didn't work in room. Loud noises all night, thin walls. Small rooms and bathroom. Obscured view from our floor. Room looked nothing like pictures on booking.com. Shower was small and unadjustable. Bed was not a double and was sooo uncomfortable. Management ignored our complainants. For 60€ there is much better in Delphi but I recommend staying in Arahova.
Review 109:Breakfast staff was friendly.
Review 110:- Wi-Fi weak in the rooms, had to go to the public areas - limited choice for hot breakfast
Review 111:- very positive exprerience - good place from which to visit Delphi - what a view from the room!
Review 112:Beds a bit hard, but for 1 night acceptable. Bath/Shower very small. Entire room/decor a bit dated
Review 113:Location was perfect from touring the historical site of Delphi, just 1000 meters away. Balcony views of the Gulf of Corinth and mountains was amazing. Staff was attentive and friendly
Review 114:The breathtaking views from my balcony, the location and the very friendly and helpful receptionist. She provides you with a lot of useful information.
Review 115:Parking can be a little tricky and there is a one-way system around the village. It can take a couple of circuits to find a spot to park.
Review 116:Spectacular view over the valleys. Lovely feel to this hotel, a bit like an alpine ski challet. Our room was clean and comfortable, it included a four poster bed and fridge and large bathroom. The balcony was the best part, where you can sit and watch the view.
Review 117:The shower was a little tight, but it was worth it to stay at such a convenient location. The balcony rooms were great!
Review 118:Everything! Great for groups, spacious dining area and plentiful breakfast with local honey, yogurt and fruits, REAL eggs, locally baked breads and healthy cereals. Just below the hotel is an ancient trail that leads down to a small beach town named Kirra. We would definitely stay there again!
Review 119:Breakfast was "iffy", it was food, but not a great experience.
Review 120:The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and the Hotels location is in a safe area and is perfect for visiting the ancient site and museum Our room had a great view across the valley with many restaurants nearby and an overall memorable experience.
Review 121:Excellent Wifi
Review 122:Location, staff, breakfast, cleaning
Review 123:Fantastic location walking distance to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection at breakfast including gluten free bread.
Review 124:No complains
Review 125:Beds a bit stiff and breakfast was average
Review 126:Friendly, helpful and convenient
