Reviews for Agriturismo Quercia Rossa Rural House
Review 1:The wifi connection of our room are poor. If the windows are more soundproof that would be better.
Review 2:Alex, the host who offer great and detail advice made us feel like home. The great dinner and lovely breakfast. Huge but clean room with stylish decoration. The natural surrounding where shows the beauty of Tuscany.
Review 3:Very bumpy road the last couple of kilometers. Not a problem if you drive carefully.
Review 4:Beautiful location with amazing views of the countryside. Supernice service and amazing food and wine! Don't miss this place if you want to enjoy Tuscany in a beautiful and peaceful setting.
Review 5:Unfortunately the insects had ruined the olives for the season and therefore they had no olive oil for sale.
Review 6:Alessandro was very helpful and informative with lots of suggestions for visiting the surrounding areas. The location was stunning with serene and scenic views of the unblemished landscape. Definitely a highly recommended stay if you are looking for fresh air, beautiful surroundings and serenity. Miss Maria provided us with some wonderful local cuisine.
Review 7:Some guests would probably love the feeling of total isolation in Quercia Rossa. It's a good 15 mins' drive along a dirt/gravel pathway until you even reach a 'normal' road. It perhaps felt a little too remote to us, but don't let that put you off if you're looking for complete peace and quiet!
Review 8:The stunning views from the garden terrace and pool area are just incredible. We also loved the food - delicious! Our room was spacious too. The house is tastefully furnished with elegant antiques.
Review 9:The last 5 km of driving is on roads with some damage. However, the bad spots are easy to avoid.
Review 10:Stunning view, excellent breakfast and very tasty optional dinner. Very friendly personell
Review 11:The location is absolutely magical, and every meal was wonderful. The air is fragrant, and other than the occasional sound of a tractor, one hears nothing but the sounds of nature.
Review 12:Wi-fi needs a boost and the directions on the website were poor but these are minor quibbles.
Review 13:Set in wonderful rolling countryside this is a great place to get away from it all but have all that you need at hand. The high point was Maria's wonderful buffet dinner - everything fresh and tasty and with so much choice. It has a great relaxed, informal atmosphere and the bedroom was spacious. Alessandro was very helpful in giving ideas for trips. Altogether a superb stay.
Review 14:Only one night was planned to stay - had to move on...
Review 15:Exceptional views, quiet surroundings, relaxed atmosphere. Very nice and helpful owners - lots of hints from Alessandro what to see and visit in the area and region. Do not miss the dinner – a great chance to taste a real Tuscany meal.
Review 16:The breakfast is perfectly ok with good variation of different assortments. The dinner buffet maybe is not exactly what you expect in Tuscany with all its opportunities. There is a limited choice of wine.
Review 17:Good selection of literature related to the area in different languages. The location is really perfect for those who are seeking for calm and relaxing environment
Review 18:Having to leave!...I'm already planning my next holiday to include a stay at Quercia Rossa.
Review 19:This is a gem - the sort of place you want everyone to know about & experience for themselves but also want to keep to yourself as a secret! From the moment you get an incredible welcome from Alessandro & his lovely team and see the amazing view & stylish rooms, you know you're in for a real treat. Maria and her helpers produce the most delicious food - breakfast comprises a great spread of homemade & locally sourced items and sets you up for the day, before you return for an equally delicious evening meal; this is served as a buffet (with plenty of choices for a vegetarian like me) and is accompanied by superb local Morellino di Scansano wine. This is a great base for visiting nearby towns like Montemerano, but it's equally ideal for a couple of days of relaxing by the pool, thumbing through the books in the sitting room, walking through the extensive surrounding farmland, or simply taking in those stunning views. A memorable & wonderful experience - thank you!
Review 20:Great view of beautiful Tuscany. Staff very helpful and informative.

Review 28:Thé road to get there

Review 30:Fantastic food, beautiful room and stunning views. Perfect!
Review 31:Great food and location
Review 32:the road to the property is a bit too uneven and dinner was rather a rushed affair
Review 33:it was very laidback and relaxing, breakfasts were lovely, the room was good, we needed a break and we we definitely got it
Review 34:Really best place we've ever stayed. Alessandro was a great host, Quercia Rossa is a relaxing place with very nice facilities, great food and an amazing view. The location is very good to make trips around the area, such as the old medieval cities of Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano, the termal baths of Saturnia are closeby as well as the beach and other sites (just ask Alessandro). I recommend it to everyone who likes to have a wonderful holiday.
Review 35:We loved this farmhouse. Our room was very thoughtfully decorated. We had a lovely large bathroom. The common areas and the grounds were just beautiful. We sat outside every chance that we could to enjoy the surrounding scenery. The dinners at Quercia Rossa were out of this world wonderful ... we fed our bodies and nourished our souls! Alex, Paulo and Maria were absolutely charming, friendly and extremely helpful! We will definitely return and would highly recommend to others! Thank you Quercia Rossa for making our stay so special!
Review 36:We liked everything!
Review 37:Quercia Rossa Farmhouse is a real treasure. The property is beautifullymaintained. The farmhouse itself was very well appointed with lovelyantiques and our room was large, comfortable and very clean. Everyone atthe Farmhouse was so very charming, friendly and helpful. Then there wasthe view ... something one will never forget! We highly recommend thisAgriturismo and would love to return for another stay sometime in thevery near future.
Review 38:My husband and I were there for 4 days and found the agriturismo to be perfectly situated. Alex, Paolo and Maria were so lovely and gracious, and happy to do whatever they could to make our stay perfect! It clearly mattered to them that we were comfortable and able to get the most out of the surrounding area. The food was outstanding! The rooms were all very special and beautifully appointed! We loved our stay and loved meeting Alex, Paolo and Maria! A big thank you to each of them!
Review 39:We couldn't stay longer. Unfortunately vacations have to come to an end..
Review 40:The property was stunning, the staff was incredibly warm and accomodating and the design of the accommodations was clean and modern yet still had that Tuscan charm. And without a doubt, the view was worth every penny.
Review 41:After Venice, Florence and Siena and right before Rome we looked for a quiet place to just sit back and relax. We found this little piece of heaven in the southern part of Tuscany. This rural hotel is far away from everything so you can sit in peace and quiet. Plus, the view is absolutely breathtaking. We ate our only real Italian dinner in our vacation and it also was very very good, made from local ingredients only. Alex the host is extremely friendly and knows the history of Tuscany very well. Quercia Rossa is definitely the best hotel in Italy we have ever stayed in.
Review 42:If you are tall, you may have trouble with the beds, since they all have foot boards. I am 1,78 (5'10) The windy hilly roads will make you car sick
Review 43:Beautiful location in rural Tuscany but its a very bumpy, windy road to get there. We felt car sick after all the turns. EXCELLENT food but order the Morellino wine extra. The including wine with the meals was a bit young/sour (Name starts with an R and and is produced nearby) Take a bottle of the organic/bio Oliven oil with you when you leave.
Review 44:Lovely place to stay, charming Hosts ;-) We, couple with son, stoppedoff at Quercia Rossa for two nights during our Italian trip, and thisRural House was incredible and outstanding. It was a perfect place torelax and recharge. Set in the most tranquil, wonderful and peacefulpart of Maremma, Tuscany, the Quercia Rossa is an absolute delight. Itis well located to visit Pitigliano, Sovana, Montemerano, Capalbio,Monte Argentario and Saturnia’s Thermal Baths. Kitchen of Mama Maria isunforgettable... Nyam :-) It give us chance to taste Maremma, Tuscanycooking. Alessandro the owner was always on hand to help in any way, hehas right attitude and good personality, and his staff was a great bunchtoo. We will probably return here whenever we need to chill out fromlife again, as here reigns pure peace. Would definitively recommend toanyone. Vadim r
Review 45:Quercia Rossa lies high up in the midst of beautiful green hills. Theview when you arrive is breathtaking and sets you immediately at peacewith the world. The farmhouse is an ideal retreat, but if you feeladventurous just ask the hosts who will happily direct you to a little-known secluded beach, unmissable archeological sites, and the bestlittle restaurants in Maremma. This is the perfect base to visit theareas around Pitigliano, Saturnia, Capalbio, and the blue waters ofArgentario. We also enjoyed the taste of simple but always fresh andvaried homemade food. The rooms are comfortable, charming and clean. Aplace to return to!!!
Review 46:I love animals and I would of liked the option to visit the working part of the farm.
Review 47:By far the best place we stayed in Italy. The entire breakfast was homemade and with attention to detail. There was homemade yogurt in individual glass jars, hard boiled eggs in a basket lined with straw and little meat pastries. The room was lovely with a bathroom sink that was stone. The view of Tuscany was outstanding.
Review 48:I am fully satisfied with accomodation at Quercia Rossa. I was there second time with my husband and two chidren. The owner is really nice and he helped us to get our car repaired. Athough we arrived in the laze evening, Maria prepaired for us awesome dinner. Alanova the breakfast was really good. It consisted of local and BIO products.
Review 49:We stayed in this place for a few nights on our honeymoon and it was fantastic. The house is situated in a peaceful countryside surrounded by Tuscany hills. There are many charming places to see in the vicinity, including old villages, thermal baths and the beach. Both breakfast and dinner was fabulous and made with local and homemade products; for the forthcoming guests, we would therefore highly recommend half-board service. Besides the food, the highlight of this house is certainly the most hospitable staff who made us feel at home. We will certainly come back!
Review 50:The countryside hotel was beautiful. Car is a must, but it's worth the drive. The sights and sounds of the tuscany area are unbelievable. Breakfast was one of the bestthat I've had at a B&B or hotel. Eco friendly was a nice touch. The facilities were outstanding.
Review 51:Everything is perfect, just be aware that the last 5 km to theagriturismo is a countryside road, you need to drive carefully orhave an suv.
Review 52:Excellent agriturismo, very friendly staff, clean room, excellent food, wonderful quiet location. Highly recommended.
Review 53:Just perfect in all aspects: complete silence, great personality, marvelous house renovated and arranged with a very fine taste (antique furniture in large rooms, well dressed table) and love for esthetics, even the music has a lot of "style"! Perfection in the service (as in a 5 star-hotel): personal approach, very kindly, good tourist tips for the surroundings. Extremely exquisite cuisine made by la "mamma" Maria, for breakfast (home-made bread and yoghurt!) as well as for diner (local specialities in abundance, several courses with wine, water and coffee, all this for only 28 euro pp) and served at a very long table. Panoramic views in a romantic landscape, peaceful garden with a large swimming pool. Price/quality excellent. An exception in all points of view. I felt as a princess in a castle.
Review 54:Everything was perfect! Best Agritourismo experience in three years ofdedicated traveling across Italy.
Review 55:I stayed for three nights after reading all the great reviews - it waseven better than expected and food/wine was superb.I wanted some peace and quiet to which there was no end. The star-gazing is amazing since set so far from city lights - been a long time since I've seen the Milky Way look so good. Situated for some amazing day trips - thermal stream/falls in Saturnia, Medieval hill towms & etruscan necropoli at Pitigliano, Sarano and Sovana, Archeological & Nature Preserve of Vulci, and Romanesque churches of Tuscania. Amazing! Be sure to ask about the history of their furniture - very fascinating!
Review 56:We made a splendid tour of a week in Toscana and the most 2 magical nights were spent at this wonderful place. The house is placed at the deep country side and we drove 5 Km in a very small road that our GPS didn’t discover before reaching to this beautiful rural house, surrounded by green hill, starry skies and deep quiet. The owner was very nice and helpful. Thought we told to the owner that we will come late after dinner (while actually we came earlier), he prepared for us a great meal and made sure we are comfortable. Breakfast was great – they make their own bread, cheese and jam - and the owner recommended us places to go and restaurant to eat – bingo every time. Toscana in its best!
Review 57:Can not recommend the Quercia Rossa highly enough. Had an excellent stay here: Tranquil, calm and beautiful surroundings. Our room was above and beyond all expectations. Food both dinner and breakfast authentic and a must have! Staff, friendly, polite and good natured went out their way to accommodate all our needs. 10 out of 10 all round.
Review 58:No spoons!
Review 59:Peace , tranquility. Remoteness
Review 60:Halfway between beaches and thermal area, really quiet and amazingposition. We had also dinner there, which was good. Prettyfriendly staff.
