Reviews for Wave On Waves
Review 1:A bedside light or light switch would have been nice. The locks on the doors were badly fitted so it was tricky to bolt the door and padlock. Amd the picture of stoned rooms you see on booking.com are the only 2 like that (new). The rest are older. I had an older one.
Review 2:The stoned rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. Mine was set back from the road so was nice and quiet too. Much nicer than the huts close to the beach which are all crammed close together and don't face the sea.
Review 3:The place does not have adequate staff for baggage shifting to rooms- towels and soap is also not provided. Getting a blanket may be a worry. However, people being generally friendly in Goa, you should be able to work things around with persuasion and loving attitude.
Review 4:The location is excellent. Facilities are WYSIWYG, no complaints. I loved the place, good for travelers with shoestring budget and having a fuss free life.
Review 5:- We booked our property in Wave on Waves but when we arrived there they shifted us to Audio Agonda. She we didn't got what be booked. 2- Audio Agonda's restaurant was pathetic, food was waste of money, . Restaurant staff was very arrogant & rude. They don't know how to behave with there customers. we suggest to avoid eating in Audio Agonda restaurant. Try Om Restaurant, it is just next to Audio Agonda on beach side.
Review 6:1-We Stayed in Audio Agonda, This property is awesome. 2-Shiva was very helpful throughout the trip. He is very nice guy.he guided us best thing during our stay. 3- location was superb. 4- We ate in Om Restaurant, Just next to Audio Agonda Restaurant. It's food was very amazing tasty & fair priced. We loved a lot all of his dishes. staff was very polite, soft nature, well behaved & responsible.
Review 7:Wi-Fi doesn't work very well in the rooms but works great on the open terrace. I wish I had known about the cheaper non-AC rooms as we did not really need the AC in winter.
Review 8:It's a quiet little place, an extension of the owner's home with very basic facilities. The property is divided among family members, with one side owned by Sea 2000 and the other half leased to Wave on Waves. Compared to the prices that other resorts nearby were offering in peak season, this place was reasonably priced, but if you don't need hot water and air conditioning, you might do better to opt for one of the backyard cottages which are much cheaper. Cottages on the beach side are a bit more expensive. We opted for a stone cottage across the road from the beach, which is just across the road, there are some great restaurants around and a shop with provisions nearby. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. Hot water is available at all times, but use it earlier in the day as it tends to get over by evening/night.
Review 9:In terms of facilities, be prepared to find that not everything that is listed on Booking.com will be actually present (e.g., no tile floor, no toiletries and few other minor points). I found this discrepancy in other Goa properties too, suggesting something is amiss in the communication between Booking.com and the properties. Wifi was inadequate, considering all. It was practically unavailable most of the time in the backyard cottages where i stayed. One unpleasant aspect transpired during my last day there when a lady, who i have not seen previously, and who is, apparently, one of the owners of the property came to demand (yes, and with a very lording aggressive approach) that i take their taxi to our next destination (i travelled with a couple staying in the same property) and pay a higher price than the one i received from an independent taxi. Furthermore, her driver and another person tried the same highly aggressive approach with my friends. Not smart and not pleasant.
Review 10:The main bottom line is that, while the facilities are basic and there are various minor shortcomings to the property, in terms of value for money, for this area and time of year, they were great. While not the most pro-active and dynamic, the two lads managing the day-to-day operation were helpful and pleasant.
Review 11:Even in one of the rooms there was no TV. That's why we left after three days in other accommodation. We stayed in a hut. Later we found out that there are better housing in walled buildings for the same money
Review 12:Good location
Review 13:very basic room, no one clean around, not even have basket where you can put your garbage.i asked for one , but they didn't bring me. you can find same room for much cheaper price than this.
Review 14:only location is good but all guest houses are on the same location very near to the beach.
Review 15:Rooms get very hot in the day. More than one power socket in the rooms would help.
Review 16:We stayed here twice in the end. Once in the back cottages and once at the beachside. Both were excellent value rooms (if a little basic). You only need the rooms to sleep in anyway as the beautiful agonda beach is no more than 30 metres away. The agonda sunset restaurant next door is very good as well with excellent staff and free sun loungers!
Review 17:They didn't know much about activities which we could do around town, such as going out on a boat to see wild dolphins (which you can do, I just asked a local fisherman at the end of the beach)
Review 18:They had a special offer on Booking.com so we got the room for a really cheap price. The room had a kitchen with a fridge which was good to have although we didn't use it. It was literally 1 minute from a beautiful beach, although you can rooms which are even closer. They helped us rent a bike, put a bowl of water outside our door to wash the sand off our feet. Staff was really nice, especially a young fella who answered many of our questions and got us whatever we needed.
Review 19:Waves on waves is an excellent choice for staying in Agonda if you're on a budget. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The showers are hot, the gardens are pretty and it is very close to the beach. I will stay here again if I come back to Agonda.
Review 20:The staff don't actually stay or live nearby, so if you have questions or queries they can be pretty tough to get a hold of. After 4 days of trying to work it out I'm still not sure where the wifi router is, the internet was slow & rarely did it connect as the signal strength was super low as if it was hidden behind a few brick walls
Review 21:The location- on the beach or across the road from the beach. There is a fantastic restaurant and bar next door - we ate breakfast there every day (4 days)
Review 22:nothing
Review 23:rooms are cleaned, new mattress and bed comes with moskito net. our room was 10 steps from the beach :) wifi works fine. santos the manager is a top class worker that pays attention to the detail, e.g- exchanging the water to clean our feet and allow our check in at 9 a.m. initially came for 1 day, end up staying 5 days. best value for money in whole agonda
Review 24:Wat I dint like was the power just kept going off.. U need a fan as its hot during the noon.. And it was irritating wen d power used to go off.. No A/C.. Was a turn off.but the nights wer cold so I dint care abt it..
Review 25:The place is just located on the agonda beach.. Mine was a sea view cottage.. Slept listening to the sound of the waves.. Woke up listening to dat as well.. Wat a place.. Beach is not too crowded.. Its like ur own private beach.. The bed was amazing.. Slept like a baby in it.. There are some nice restaurants as well..
Review 26:I stayed in one of the stoned rooms. This is set back from the road and was quiet and secure. The room itself whilst basic was excellent in terms of cleanliness and location to everything. Hot water was also a bonus. The manager and staff were very accommodating and friendly and as a solo traveller I felt safe and secure.
Review 27:No Water provided, No bathsoap / shampoo / towels provided. Very basic. The huts look nice but are made of tin, extremely difficult to stay in during the day, at night it cooled down a bit. No AC. You don't get phone signal as well.
Review 28:Budget and clean, very near to beach.
Review 29:Poor enough wifi but its free and its india so i cant really complain.
Review 30:Friendly and accommodating staff. Location was brilliant. The room itself was excellent. Hot water. Free wifi. Very near to restaurants and beach.
Review 31:Nothing to complain about
Review 32:I was staying in the stone house; the room was freshly refurbished, beautifully decorated and very clean. Nice private terrace and a roof-top sitting area available to all guests. Great location with excellent restaurants just next door. Staff was very helpful on all occasions.
Review 33:i had no complains.. but i didnt know if there was wifi or not .. and again my mistake as i didnt check...
Review 34:it was indeed value for money as i expected the price to be more since it was year end but that said, the room was clean and the place was so quiet and serene that you will just enjoy your stay. The Manager was very adjusting to your needs when needed. we wanted to stay for an extra day and Franky obliged... the place around as well had options for food and the beach was close enough.. no complains as such as it was a pleasant stay
Review 35:Excellently placed. Friendly and helpful owners.
