Reviews for Hotel Victoria Maiorino

Review 1:We stayed for 7 nights, so we experienced quite everything: the staff were very nice and friendly, they offered us an upgrade to the room that we booked, the hotel is very clean, with beautiful furniture and great architecture. Safe parking, right near the hotel. Very good positioning, right at the begining of the city pedestrian area, were one can find a lot of shops and restaurants. Also, very convenient to start visiting the Amalfi area. Breakfast was very good for an italian hotel, you can also order eggs and omlettes for free. A great holiday, nothing to dislike.

Review 2:Nothing - all very good

Review 3:Beautiful little village close to Salerno, excellent base from where to explore Amalfi Coast, Pompeii etc Staff outstanding, nothing was any trouble and they went out of there way to ensure our comfort. Reasonably accommodation and food/beverage

Review 4:Wifi signal was very weak in our room (#31) - it worked like a charm in the public areas. Pool hours are only from 10am until 6:30pm, why not earlier and why not later?

Review 5:Beautiful building in a beautiful location in a beautiful town. The super friendly guys welcoming us helped us navigate the narrow streets of Ravello and parked our car for us. Comfortable rooms with great views over the surrounding mountains. Pool area is just amazing, comfortable towels provided by the attentive staff. Poolside you find the very classy restaurant where we had a great lunch and ditto breakfast.

Review 6:There was nothing to not like.

Review 7:Our choice for the last three days of our two week holiday could not have been better. We entered a beautiful, interior designed, airy building. It was tasteful from the entrance-way up to our room. How could we be so fortunate? We were given a junior suite instead of the double we booked. This suite was thoughtfully set out. It contained lovely furniture, and allowed us to relax.

Review 8:None everything was excellent

Review 9:Everything was superb they made us feel very important. Can not wait to visit again.Do not bother looking for a place to stay in Amalfi stay in Cava de trenni instead

Review 10:There is nothing not to like.

Review 11:The whole experience was like the way hotel service used to be. Quiet, unobtrusive but with someone always ready to attend to your every need. FANTASTIC!!!

Review 12:Staff very pleasant. A very traditional hotel updated with modern comforts. Situated along the beautiful porticos of the town. We have stayed here before and look forward to our next visit.

Review 13:The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly suprised to find that on arrival, we had been upgraded to a suite. We liked the little touches in the room, such as flowers and fresh fruit. All the beautiful white linen was changed daily, the whole hotel was absolutely spotless. Every morning we enjoyed a wide selection of local specialities, and if you wanted anything extra, it was no trouble to the staff. Overall, it was a great experience, and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Review 14:The room's decoration is a bit outdated.

Review 15:The staff was very attentive and helpfull. The location of the hotel is exellent, right on the main street of the city. Best value for money

Review 16:Accommodation was outstanding. Breakfast was very good and restaurant top notch. Staff were helpful beyond the call of duty. Along the Amalfi coast we sustained a scrape on our rental car. When we arrived at Hotel Victoria we needed to contact the car company to let them know of the incident. We were assisted to make the phone calls but the car company was very difficult to communicate with. So the personnel at the hotel (breakfast manager and the young lady at front desk made the phone calls for us which was very helpful and appreciated. The communication and information was finally communicated to the car company thanks to the these great staff members. The management of this Hotel should be congratulated for their fine policy of customer care.

Review 17:When we left the room somebody packed our staff to different place than we left them ( I don't like if somebody packing my clothes or my bag ). We spent there 2 nights and at the second morning during the breakfast they gave us a little menu, they let us know, that we should had different kinds of eggs for breakfast, but it was too late because we almost finished. From the room above our room we heard almost every footsteps and when they flushed the toilet, the noise was so loud like some machine. In the evening when we left the hotel to look around in the city, they went up into the room and swithed on all the light ( maybe it's a kind of marketing or some race between the hotels, to show each other how many rooms are booked ). On the second evening when we arrived back to the hotel, the receptionist told me, that in the hotel in Italy forbidden the ironing, because they saw my travel iron in the room on the tile floor, because before the dinner I was ironing my clothes and my husband shirt. I'm not a stupid child, and don't want to make any trouble or fire in the hotel.

Review 18:Close to the center, free parking. Nice old building.

Review 19:we like the hotel very much the staff was very helpful and very kind to us .. the hotel very clean .. and we feelt at home not at Hotel ... Excellent in every thing .. we will visit again for sure.

Review 20:Nothing.

Review 21:Excellent and friendly staff, room comfort, hospitality, restaurant, facilities and parking. Excellent choice if you intend to schedule day-trips to Capri, Amalfi Coast, Positano, Ravello, Pompeii, Naples, etc. Walking distance from the shopping area. Very quiet for a good sleep at night.

Review 22:Rooms are rather outdated. It is all very tidy but old fashioned decor especially the bathroom. Air conditioning worked some of the time.

Review 23:Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean and tidy.

Review 24:Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Rooms have acoustically isolated windows, augmenting the comfort even more.

Review 25:This hotel exceed our expectations. The staff were extremely attentive, I would certainly recommend staying here, it is only 5 kms from Salerno.

Review 26:Business facilities could be better

Review 27:Location and staff very good

Review 28:The parking is far from the holtel (under the next building) dificult with bugs.

Review 29:goon hospitality and very clean.

Review 30:Faster WiFi

Review 31:Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful . Very pleasant restaurant

Review 32:Nothing

Review 33:Everything about the hotel is enchanting! It is like stepping back in time to the more elegant days gone by ! It was our second time at the hotel and we were given a free upgrade to a suite which was enormous! The decor is a mix of antique with a modern twist and oozes elegance! The breakfast is fab and staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble! The town is a great base and I would love to stay there again!

Review 34:The wi-fi worked a little bad in our room, and sometimes not at all. But in the lobby you could still get a perfect connection. So we didn't ever have to be totally out of internet, which was fine for us. :)

Review 35:The hotel was located just right in the middle of the town central, but still nice and peaceful. We even got "a little gift" when arriving, they had upgraded us to a junior suite! What a service! We were traveling off season and there were only a couple of guests staying then with us, but still they served absolutely beautiful and delicious breakfast for us. Definately worth visiting!

Review 36:Great location, right in centre of the town in the pedestrian area yet also quiet. Our room faced the street but we had no issues with noise. Be aware, being located in the pedestrian area if you are arriving by car you cannot drive up to the front of the hotel. The garage entrance is on the left of Via Antonio Lamberti behind some large, unmarked, cream coloured steel gates. We drove around the one way streets a few times before finding it! Another plus point - secure private parking. Staff friendly and willing to do anything they can to help. We found breakfast as expected in Europe, a good selection - usual cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread, pastries, cheese, cold meat, toast etc plus option of eggs and/or bacon cooked in various ways. Cava itself was a good base for visiting Pompeii, Paestum etc. We would stay at this hotel again if we wanted to re-visit this area and would recommend.

Review 37:Difficult to get hot water in the shower. breakfast only fair. Not a good selection. Bread was dry. Toaster very slow.

Review 38:The spacious rooms Nicely decorated and clean. Beautiful furniture.

Review 39:very welcoming staff, convenientely located in the middle of this historic city centre.Amalfi coast whithin easy reach plus Pompei,Vietri sul mare the seaside. We will be back!!!

Review 40:I didn't like leaving my passport with reception overnight and the hotel needs to find a way to eliminate this requirement. The shower was initially tepid, then it became cold, which wasn't great, even on such a hot day!

Review 41:My friend and I were too tired to find somewhere to eat outside the hotel and we are so glad we stayed - the food was wonderful and the service absolutely fantastic. The staff at breakfast were also wonderful and made both meals a pleasure. The hotel is in a great location and I would definitely return and recommend it to others.

Review 42:Hotel staff is awesome. Polite. Attention to detail. Answers questions all the time. I can go on and on about this hotels. For us to stay here on 2 different occasions is rated at a 5 star.

Review 43:Little bit worn, but do not bother, it is Italy.

Review 44:Nice hotel right on the central street. The street itself is much nicerthan was expected and it is a nice place to stroll, especially in theevening. Hotel restaurant was also very good. Staff attentive. And yes -the price.

Review 45:It was close to the airport, in flight pass. Noise stopped after 23.00. We had to get up at 3AM and also had guests with child in next room. They were very noisy, we could hear every word they said!

Review 46:It's great for longer stay with family. Spacious apartment with kitchen. Very modern and clean.

Review 47:Doesn't match the **** service & overpriced The breakfast ispoor (as compared to *** hotel visited in the city nearby), no doublebed, twin beds put next to each other, the room wasn't very cleanwhen we arrived. It's a good hotel in general, but it requiresmodernisation & repair to meet **** status.

Review 48:Close to the railway station & the city center, nice viewover the hills

Review 49:really : nothing !!

Review 50:Wonderful hotel, fabulous staff, nice situated in smell town, only 400m from train-station: 4 € to Napoli!!2.5 to Pompei!!We got a suite without asking (5 nights in low season??!) Easy driving to Salerno:15'. Even another cleaning in afternoon!! Perfect

Review 51:There was nothing we didnt like

Review 52:We just loved our stay and were sorry we couldnt stay longer. The Staff were Brilliant and their service was more than we could ever hope for. We wlll certainly come back.

Review 53:The staff are extremely helpful. They patiently checked and print out all the train schedules for us everyday. Dinner is great value. Location is good for Pompei and Paestum visits; but the town Cava itself doesn't have much to see/do.

Review 54:We accept this was a city hotel but as a comment more comfortable seating on the outside to get the sun [As Scots we dont see a lot of would have been nice]

Review 55:The staff where brillant they could do no more to assure your stay was as pleasant as they could make it . We stayed 8 nights

Review 56:Couldn't fault anything.

Review 57:The hotel was ideally located a short distance from the large towns of Salerno and Sorrento. Perfect as a base for Naples, Amalfi coast etc but away from the tourists!! The town itself is very pretty with good railway links. Hotel staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough. The rooms are very spacoous and the breakfast is wonderful. Would recommend very highly.

Review 58:The staff is extremely customer focused! To the person, they make sure your stay is a wonderful experience. Best customer focused hotel we have ever stayed. Good value for the money. They go out of there way to please you.

Review 60:We came from Rome with a hired car and stayed 2 days at the hotel on ourway to south italy-Calabria and Basilicata. The room was nicelydecorated and very spacious. They upgrated us and gave us a lovely tworooms swit.It has a very clean and lovely surounding.it is recomended totry eating dinner. The best dinner we ate at the south..

Review 61:1. The towels and bed linen are old fashioned. 2. The room was a bit cold, especially the floor. Fortunately there is an air conditioning, but some carpets on the floor would have been nice.

Review 62:1. The hotel is located very well in the center of Cava (which is very nice for shopping). 2. The staff is very kind and professional. They know how to treat a guest. 3. Any problems are solved directly. 4. Breakfast with fresh fruit.

Review 63:Excellent service, located just 4km from the Amalfi coast and next toCava's charming porticoed main street with its excellent shops andrestaurants, this hotel preserves the quality and discreetprofessionalism that recalls the days before low-cost travel. Owngarage.

Review 64:All staff went out of their way to be helpful . Arrived late and able to have excellent dinner and given upgraded room

Review 65:None
