Review 1：The warm environment at Botton D'Oro. the fresh breakfast and best of all Sabrina - the owner - she is extremly helpful and really makes you feel on holiday!

Review 8：didn't like our room being opposite the breakfast checkin/out room - with bathroom being across the entrance hall - had to get dressed to go to bathroom and woken by people coming and going didn't feel private enough. Room felt a bit unfinished didn't realise this upon booking so felt lacking in privacy.

Review 14：No air conditioning or fans. It was very warm when we stayed. We arrived in the dark and due to the narrow sheets of the old town the property and parking spaces were hard to find.

Review 15：Beautiful old building in the centre of the old town. Massive rooms with all mod cons and extremely comfortable beds made up with crisp white sheets. Superb buffet breakfast with local produce and everything you could wish for. The owner is very keen to provide items and alternatives for restricted diets or allergies. Within a short time of landing at Bergamo airport we felt we were in the real Italy!

But in the morning the main breakfast dining room was opposite our bedroom door. To visit the bathroom you had to pass the other guests plus the bedroom sliding door meant anyone remaining in the bed could wave to the breakfast guests!

It was very clean and modern. The apartment was located i the middle of Citty Alta, so it was close to Everything. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Review 56：We had been warned there were stairs but I forgot how many there good be- however, as I said the owner carried my suitcase up to the loft room. Breakfast was till 9.30 am - so it meant no chance to lie in and read. I think 10 am would be better for holiday-makers.

Review 57：I liked a number of things. Firstly, the proprietor was so kind- she waited up past midnight to open up for us and carried my bag up three flight s of steps. We had a lovely loft bedroom. Extremely clean, with very comfortable beds, tons of space and a little kitchenette where we found tea and coffee and a stove, fridge and sink. We had 2 balcony doors opening onto an internal courtyard- vey quiet and yet we walked out on to the main Via Colleone with direct access to one of the best restaurants and tavola calda. Breakfast was delicious- most of the food was local and very high quality salamis, ham, cheeses, home made jams and sweets, fruit, tea and coffee, juices - anything for any diet. We had this meal in a lovely family room- an opportunity to see the interior of a historic building. We were given good advice re the Bergamo Card and the buses and other bits of information required. When 2 friends joined us, they too were very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone who wishes to be in a beautifaul historic town, who wants quiet and pampered and feel like a guest in private home.

Review 58：Travelers planning to stay here should keep in mind that Botton D'oro is just across a church, so the bells begin ringing at 07:30 and there is no lift in the building. These were not negative points for us, but might be a challenge for some.

Review 59：Sabrina, our host was kind enough to upgrade our booking as we asked for a twin bedded room. We stayed in a big, perfectly clean suite on the third floor and loved every minute of it. Breakfast was delicious, all dishes were made from local products. Bergamo is a dream town and this wonderfully designed b&b is one major part of it. Thank you, Sabrina. We will be back.

Review 60：Great breakfast with lots to choose from and superb quality. Very service minded and friendly B&B. Location is perfect in the upper city with easy and frequent public transport possibilities. Our room felt spacious and the beds were comfy, even the sofa-bed.

Review 66：The location is really top of the hill and heart of the old town, close to the bus stop. If you dont plan to sleep over 8-9 then church bells will help you to stick with your plan and you defenly dont miss your brakefast. The triple room was so sweet and cosy. Review 70：Our room faced Via Colleoni and there was quite a bit of noise well into the night. May not be suitable for small children who are sensitive to disturbance. Also note that there is no elevator, so be prepared to climb a few flights of stairs.

Review 76：When I arrived, I was given a set of keys (key to door outside, bathroom and room) and the hotel was just left for me and my partner. This was all so good except that when you stumble upon problems of any kind you had no one helping you...especially if you are new in town and country! Usual questions that one might ask are which restaurant you suggest, which place to go, request for wake-up call, events/places to visit....There was no one after 10pm! Maybe I was unfortunate! Also, since I was leaving in the early morning, the staff did not offer to give me a packed lunch given that I was leaving at 5 am in the morning...even though I payed for breakfast. But, they told me that I could make myself a coffee from the breakfast room.

Review 87：we left early on our departure day to make an early flight, and we felt as though we had troubled the staff by asking for a early breakfast (7.30), we had also asked for a taxi to transfer us to the airport, and we were taken by a family friend to the airport. we had asked previously if it would be ok to add this charge to our final bill, although when we paid in the morning the lady seemed quite angry that we didnt have cash to pay. if we knew this we would have of course had cash to pay, unfortunately this soured our experience a little as we felt as we had trubled the staff and didnt feel too welcomed. we probably wouldnt choose this hotel again.
