Reviews for Falkensteiner Club Funimation Borik

Review 1:Beds for children were not prepared (although we reserved a month ahead, Maxi Family suite). We were not given the welness/spa robes for our children. This goes with the previous item... When you reserve a vacation in a family hotel with a spa a month ahead, then you expect to have a room ready, with robes available for all family members, not only the elders. Direct asking for child robes on the reception also did not result in us getting the robes. And then you enter the pool area and see that other children have the robes... Furthermore, the spa gets crowded after 5pm, with local people (not hotel guests). Steam sauna did not work... People using phones and talking loudly all the time in the spa. Similar thing happens with children's playground room (the hotel seems to be renting the playground to locals for organizing birthday parties). So you end up feeling uncomfortable bringing your children into the playground room since there's somebodys birthday party happening... and you're not invited. Feels kind of awkward, knowing that you payed the money in order to be able to use that playground room.

Review 2:I've been a freequent visitor to this hotel over the last 5-6 years. It is a great location (close to Zadar old town, with nice see view, beach, and walking/running areas), and overall rather comfortable and cosy. Facilities are all there (spa, pools, gym, playground for children,...)

Review 3:Hotel restaurant food could be better. Closing breakfast buffet at 10 o'clock sharp is not very agreeable.

Review 4:One of the best hotel experiences, ever. Unexpectedly we got penthouse suite for the price or regular standard seafront double room. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, spacious living room, kitchen and dining place, big terrace with Jacuzzi bath tube. And treats like prosciutto, cheese, olives, bottle of wine, fruit. Wellness was great, massage treatment as well.

Review 5:The hotel is already a little bit to tired for 4 stars. The staff looks tired as well, probably after the summer season. The outseason prices are realy not human.

Review 6:The quality of well presented food. The kitchen and the rooms are the stars of this hotel.

Review 7:The limits on the all inclusive. All inclusive means all include, when you tell me not all bars and locations are included, room bar not included, and no food available when main restaurant for buffet is closed and you have to wait for the next meal to eat!!!!! Really poor, hot dogs and hamburgers with fries are not that expensive. Not a good place for what and all inclusive means. Not going back, rather pay for what I get.

Review 8:Good hotel and location.

Review 9:It was quite a walk to Zadar,I would definitely reccommend renting a car

Review 10:We had a lovely room overlooking the pool and the ocean. The spa treatments were very relaxing and the selection of food was very good.

Review 11:There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel, I definitely plan on going back.

Review 12:The outdoor pool was impressive in regards to it's size and the indoor heated pool. Really enjoyed having access to the sauna and steam room within in the spa. Food was outstanding; so much choice and fresh! The beach front being so close tot he outdoor pool made the holiday even more picture perfect. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Fabulous hotel, highly recommend.

Review 13:The beach is not very nice, but there is a great swimming pool at the hotel. The quality of room cleaning was average even though we've left tips.

Review 14:Loved the food and facilities! The room was very nice and comfy!

Review 15:All inclusive program is very limited in time and assortment, so the price for holidays becomes unreasonable high

Review 16:Engaged and helpful staff, good food always available during opening hours

Review 17:No bad experience at all. Pillow upgrade would be welcome

Review 18:The facilities, housekeeping and entertainment staff were wonderful! Cheerful and pleasant overall environment. WELL DONE! Family room is fantastic - great space and the kids LOVED the bunk beds. All inclusive makes vacation EASY for all.

Review 19:need a renovation, food ok but could be better for that price, too crowded, not enough personal, beach awful, location in the city, in the hotel area anyone can pop in...

Review 20:room size, kids facilities

Review 21:The hotel has only one option: every guest is all inclusive although their kitchen is just middle quality, and can be boring after 2-3 days.

Review 22:It is a great vacation destination for families travelling with young children. It has high class spa, outdoor pool and slide, and Andria like beach.

Review 23:Honestly, nothing bad to report. like always could be here and there better, but we feel it is good for money.

Review 24:All in one complex between trees and sea. Pools are large and clean, surrounded by excellent materials to take sun, space is so large not to feel the crowd. Foods buffets offer good choice and are excellent. Location close to ZADAR with easy commuting organized by touristic train.

Review 25:Quality of buffet food was a little disappointing considering the price of our stay, but there was a large selection on offer. Only one staff member on reception at all times (she was fantastic but could have used some help to reduce the queues). Hotel is geared towards families and probably not suitable for a young couple without children.

Review 26:Facilities were fantastic, with multiple pools and sunbeds. Beautiful hotel interior. Room was clean and fully equipped. Staff were all very friendly and pleasant. All inclusive meant we didn't need cash for the duration of our stay.

Review 27:The food was not what I expected. It seemed to be a lot of Pork which is a very cheap meat the fish was dry and over cooked the chef on the egg bar at breakfast was very unpleasant and the eggs were either over or under cooked

Review 28:the facilities. Was very nice

Review 29:no issues!

Review 30:Everything, food was great, staff was helpful and courteous. We did not want to leave, will come back. You never have to leave the resort!

Review 31:More suited to young families. Closed down at 9.30-10pm. No entertainment. Possibly tailored for more german tastes than irish!!

Review 32:Cleanliness excellent. Food great variety and freshly cooked. Staff very pleasant.

Review 33:During meals it was quite crowdy. Staff was doing their best but they need to be faster.

Review 34:Position allows nice walking to the center of Zadar. Inside swimming pool connected with outside swimming pool. Since we have had all inclusive, we did not need any money. Childrens corner open all day.

Review 35:Wi fi patchy at times. No bottled water on all inclusive. No mirror in bedroom. No entertainment.

Review 36:Location on beach. Staff friendly & helpful. Food & facilities very good. Very large bedrooms with seating area.

Review 37:The Wi-Fi was questionable in some areas of the hotel.

Review 38:My family enjoyed everything that Falkensteiner Club had to offer. The pool, massages, endless food, location, staff were all wonderful. The resort was very accommodating.

Review 39:I think the sauna would better be located in the pool area rather than in the spa area

Review 40:I was delighted I was upgraded to a huge apartment. I enjoyed indoor/outdoor pool/relaxation area, and the food was excellent.

Review 41:bad bad kitchen and a small beach with lots of algae and broken glass in the sea. outlet drains directly on the beach into the sea. weakly tidy room upon arrival, even with papers and trash under Info Book hotel after previous visitor, weak culture dining and quality food, dirty dishes and glasses in the kitchen with withered leftovers meal. very bad card for the hotel.

Review 42:very good facilities for children, two-story playground inside the area secured satisfied children even in bad weather. good poll inside with no cold wather.

Review 43:Unconfortable pillows. There were no Slovenian TV programs. Elderly personnel in the dinning facility seemed to be exhausted.

Review 44:A walk to Zadar is real pleasure. Sauna is beautiful and clean. My wife has been impressed by waiters` professionalism.

Review 45:Coffee could be better :-)

Review 46:Very polite and helpful staff. I made mistake in my reservation, but they resolve it and even offer room upgrade. Easily check in almost one hour before official time.

Review 47:Extremly bad wi-fi connection. The personnel was at first kind of rude, but they became nicer after a while. The bartenders were assertive which made us feel a bit uncomfortable, but they were still nice.

Review 48:Great spa, good food, nice view of Zadar and the sea. Really nice room.

Review 49:Wifi was a bit patchy. The beer in the all inclusive bar wasn't great.

Review 50:Great staff. Very clean Hotel. Massive room. Food was good. Hotel was in a nice location. We really enjoyed our stay

Review 51:That we do not get the breakfest that we order when We came. Staff sad that something wrong had happening. We get out of the hotell 4 oclock inn the morning without food. Borring. We do not get What we payed for!!!

Review 52:Pool and dinner

Review 53:Smoking in all outdoor areas made it difficult to find a spot outside away from secondhand smoke.

Review 54:Staff were helpful and friendly. Very good massage treatments.

Review 55:The dining room arrangement, where seating was rather squashed in, and at times, very crowded. In addition, due to the Club nature of the hotel, there were babies, young children running around in the dining area, creating a really noisy environment.

Review 56:We really appreciated the helpfulness of staff throughout the hotel. Public areas are beautifully kept, very comfortable relaxing areas, as well as the perfect sunbathing areas around the numerous swimming pools. Overall facilities are excellent both for relaxation and sport. Location is also very good, surrounded by pine trees on one side, fronting the beach on the other. This hotel is an "all inclusive" contributing to the overall comfort, serving good and varied food.

Review 57:Room rate in the advertisement for this hotel is based on 2 adults stay, but if family with kids staying there, children charged a share in the room cost in addition to the base rate. It would be fair if children charged only for a meal plan and not for the room because parents already paid for the room and it does not make any difference for the hotel if two adults only in the room or a family with kids. In North America room rate usually the same if occupied by one person or by a family if sleeping arrangements permit. Dinner hours should be extended until 10 pm (currently 9 pm)

Review 58:Staff excelled all expectations, waterfront location is great, food is very good, Adriatic sea is very warm in August.

Review 59:If you are couple without kids maybe you will mind many childreen in there.

Review 60:Food was 10 from 10, staff was perfect. One of the best hotel 4 family with childreen.

Review 61:WiFi in the room was absent (may be because my room was on the corner of the building). The beach is may be 50m long and 10m width, but overcrowded and not so clean. The see accesses allaround are only from cement bases or from stones beaches. The worser thing is the meaning of "all inclusive"...I understand to pay for high level drinks (Whiskyes, coktails, etc.) but we had to pay also for a Pinapple Juice and for a espresso at the Tramontana bar...

Review 62:Wonderful organization, great breakfast, good food (only Buffet is available). Great place for familyes with children between 3-8 years old. Great the Spa and the pools.

Review 63:-at the spa, everybody was naked, even though "the rule of the house" was that outside the sauna you have to have a towel; - the rudeness of a guy for the bar, a fat one; - the fact that I hade to pay o cocktail that was drinked by another person, on my room number.

Review 64:-food -location -very clean -the ladies from the reception are very helpful;

Review 65:Bad quality food, drinks full of sugar, dirty pool- cleaning in process while swimming around 9-10 am, lack of security-anyone can pop in from outside

Review 66:Excellent professional staff, great quiet room, easy access to the beach

Review 67:Our first room was old, dirty, and stinky. We arrived at 10.00 pm with 2 small kids and the receptionist was not allowed to change our room. I was totally upset so after 1 hour of complaining finally we got a newer one. Last but not least we got some present at checkout as a compensation.

Review 68:Excellent location, plenty of programs, swimming pools, more than enough sunbeds, continuous music, fair good food.

Review 69:Sometimes - later in the day - it can be difficult to find a free bed around the pool (you can find free beds under trees).

Review 70:Very friendly staff, especially in the kids area. I liked the pool - very clean, and the slide rocks! Nice beach - rocky, but natural, with many options for water sports. Tons of fruits during the day- great for kids.

Review 71:Very poor wifi signal and a pain to connect as had to enter password each time on a website. bed also squeaky and rooms with pool/sea view have the pleasure of music until ~10pm so no early nights for the kids. I was charged more than the Booking.com price due to being charged in local currency.

Review 72:Good selection of food and drinks, very good entertainment team with activities for all ages all day if wanted. good pool and slide and nice shallow beach with sand with a good snorkeling just around the corner. good location with a family road train running hourly into Zadar old town. Would recommend to friends.

Review 73:Wifi constantly logging you off -- could not even download a podcast. Wifi not available outside (poolside, bar...). Internet speed abysmal in business office -- too slow to even load Gmail to mail boarding pass to front desk. 2-bedroom family suite didn't have true doors, but had slats and screens that did not provide privacy from sound, light or vision. Cocktails made from low quality ingredients (even though they cost money).

Review 74:All-inclusive offerings include wide selection of foods at meals, snack time, one beer and two wine choices even between meals. Nice pool, good water temp. Very kid friendly.

Review 75:Only one remark regarding dishes that wasn't well washed and was quite greasy.

Review 76:I liked playrooms for kids, clean pools, staff is very polite.

Review 77:Great view from our room. Plenty of good food.

Review 78:Somewhat outdated rooms, dilapidated furniture in the bathroom.

Review 79:Staff, food and the restaurant were all good.

Review 80:Internet speed and stability

Review 81:Hotel location and comfort Value for money

Review 82:Very loud music played all day and evening.

Review 83:In a good location.

Review 84:Food

Review 85:Resort was focused on small children, many of whom were barely supervised by their parents.

Review 86:Noise and mis-behaved children

Review 88:Room was perfect, staff friendly and food excellent. Was very happy there.

Review 89:We liked the Friendly staff and enjoyed the comfortable facilities

Review 90:Wifi

Review 91:All inclusive food and drinkd

Review 92:Poor wifi...

Review 93:The SPA was great. Staff really nice and experienced.

Review 94:Watered down drinks, location a way from things but easy to get to

Review 95:Spa, Bar, pool

Review 96:Great facilities and the most beautiful sunsets!

Review 97:wifi very bad

Review 98:animation for kids

Review 99:Personal fixed issues immediately.

Review 100:nothing

Review 101:Everything

Review 102:You have to buy WiFi cupons.

Review 103:We arrived late but the staff had dinner ready for us.

Review 104:low level dress code of the guests during meals.

Review 105:family friendly aproach

Review 106:very poor wifi dirty carpets, furniture meals just average crowded even in low season

Review 107:location quality interiors wellness facilities

Review 108:room view sunterrace service

Review 109:Friendly staff, good facilities for families, dinner buffet was fantastic

Review 110:wifi coverage was bad...

Review 111:Food was excelent as well as the personel...

Review 112:The barman did not understand my desire

Review 113:Great Stuff, rooms no word to desribe them... i mean more than very good.

Review 114:Wi fi availability

Review 115:Speed of check in and check out

Review 116:excellent catering everything is adjusted for families

Review 117:Beds and pillows are uncomfortable, wifi is not working everywhere in the hotel

Review 118:Programs for kids are excellent, food as well, staff is very good

Review 119:Hard old beds, and childrens bed very small for teens

Review 120:Location nekar Beach

Review 121:The cuisine was excellent (unfortunately:-)). Family suite very comfortable for 2+2.

Review 122:Standard is below our expectation

Review 123:Spa and location

Review 124:Our room was probably the smallest in the hotel, for two people wasn't convenient. WiFi signal was pour, and frequently required signing in again. Strange "all inclusive" system, as many things were not included, like the good cafe, items of the minibar etc. Too many kids, too much noise. Not really value for money.

Review 125:Location of the hotel is excellent. The wellness area is nice, however some works were going on during our stay. Meals were good and wide variety of choice. Majority of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 126:a lot of " not housed people" in the pool area... it was annoying and we as guests felt not commfortable about that

Review 127:personnel location free parking animation program

Review 128:The wifi did not work well and was very unstable. We did not have wifi in the room or by the swimming pool, but in the bar area and in the reception. I wish they would fix this.

Review 129:The resort was excellent for us. We were two families with 5 children aged from 1-6 years. Falkyland, and the people working there, was great. We loved the warm pool outdoors, the service was good and they had fun activities for the kids and the adults. The buffet was varied and tasted very well. I will recommend this place to friends and family!

Review 130:Staff at the bar area could have been more friendly, however, reception staff were very helpful and happy to assist with queries.

Review 131:Good food, excellent facilities, very clean and comfortable accommodation. Received a free upgrade on both our rooms which was much appreciated.

Review 132:Not a major problem but English TV channels were not working. Night life in hotel was very limited.

Review 133:We got an upgrade to a large family room with a sea view which was excellent! Rooms and location very good. Huge choice of food was excellent. Would recommend going full board.

Review 134:No wifi what is very necesery, it's pretty loud palace if you are planing to take a rest without childrens. We think that rooms needs to be renovated for hotel with 4*. Also there needs to be written more detiled what goes and what not in all inclusive service.

Review 135:We liked stuff (they are all so polite), animators in Falky land (great people and every day they had some other acivities), food (so many tastes and kinds).
