Reviews for Secrets Hideaway

Review 1:The bed was really comfortable but the pillows were a bit lumpy ... Not really a big gripe tho!!

Review 2:Our hosts were lovely and really friendly and helpful. The breakfast hamper with home baked bread was delightful. It's really well located and the wood burning heater worked a treat!!

Review 3:Nothing, everything was great.

Review 4:The hosts, Seenuan and George, are so helpful and friendly. They collected me from the train station and repeatedly offered to drive me into town in the evenings. The property is wonderfully quiet and peaceful -- you can sit in the garden and watch the rosellas, cockatoos and currawongs (and chickens!). Little touches like fresh flowers (see photo), a 'goodie basket' with card, and a selection of books and DVDs in the suite (I had the Chauffeur's Suite) are very welcome. I love that bathtub!

Review 5:The Maid's Cottage at Secrets Hideaway offers comfort, luxury and privacy set in a beautiful garden not to mention the freshly baked bread of my choice which permeated the whole room with its delicious smell when I arrived.

Review 6:Tasteful, comfortable, cosy rooms, and generous provisions provided by the owner of the property. I couldn't have wanted anything more. A happy stay and was I made to feel very welcome. Thanks See!

Review 7:Our room is bit small. Seenuan offered to change a bigger room for us on 2nd night. I didn't want to pack again. So didn't changed. Other than this, all the things were very good indeed.

Review 8:Seenuan is very helpful and her homemade bread is so yummy which made feel like home staying in Secrets Hideaway

Review 9:Excellent host who baked us a loaf of bread, upgraded us to a bigger unit, allow us to check out late since it's low peak and extremely helpful in providing info and help to move around

Review 10:A very friendly proprietor. The room is spacious with a fireplace, table, lounge and well appointed kitchenette, and the bathroom is large. The unit is furnished in a period style in excellent condition. Generous provisions were provided for breakfasts. The room is extremely quiet at night. The Maid's Room is virtually a freestanding cottage with one shared wall on the bathroom, and with windows all around making it light with garden views. Lovely gardens with lots of birds

Review 11:Home made bread was really nice. The beautiful flower garden, friendly owners, there is lots more to discover, we really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend!

Review 12:Nothing.

Review 13:This place is fantastic. Our host, See, was so accommodating stocking up our fridge for breakfast, getting our fire going before we returned each day, and giving us advice on where to explore. The Maids suite was great, even with the snow and cold windy nights outside. It is exactly what it says on the box - a cosy hideaway with everything you need to relax.

Review 14:Generally we had a really good experience, the only slight problem was that we didnt sleep great possibly due to the pillows on the bed. I also wasnt made aware that my payment hadnt been transferred by the booking website and hadnt budgeted to pay at the end of my stay. Apart from that secrets hidaway was perfect! Really enjoyable :)

Review 15:Staff were very friendly. The rooms were very nice and everything was taken care of for us. It was also really close to some good bushwalking tracks and a very short drive to the centre of blackheath.

Review 16:Sensor light at the front door was a bit of an issue during the night when trying to sleep

Review 17:We were made very welcome by the hosts. Upon arrival we were greeted with the wood fire warming up the cottage, we had freshly made bread waiting on the table and even Michael buble playing in the background. Very romantic! Would highly recommend Secrets hideaway!

Review 18:Nothing bad; loved to have stayed longer.

Review 19:We've been visiting Blackheath for years, wanted somewhere different for our 45th wedding anniversary. Loved this place, intimate, full of period character with very friendly hostess.

Review 20:Quiet setting in acreage. Close to all the sights and nearby walking trails. Highly recommended. On a bus route, but a car is an advantage. Great restaurants available or cooking facilities. Enjoyed the fire going on arrival.

Review 21:One night a Possum was on the roof of our cottage but apart from that everything was fine.

Review 22:The whole package. From being met on arrival as we pulled up to the wonderful warm and friendly service offered by the Owner/Manager Seeann. Our stay in the 'Maids Suite' was just perfect with fresh fruit and little chocolates on arrival, beautiful breakfast provided for our two night stay and fresh baked bread. We have been regular Blue Mountain visitors since 1989 but Secrets Hide away has won our hearts. We will most definitely come back to Secrets Hide away.

Review 23:Nothing bad, I'd definitely go back.

Review 24:The whole experience was wonderful. My husband and I wanted to escape the busyness of the city without being too cut off from people. Secrets was perfect. Located near Evans Lookout, it was far enough from any distractions but close enough to restaurants, shops and tourist spots. Seenuan, our host, was so lovely. She was attentive without being too nosy and made us fresh bread for our stay. She also made sure we had enough fire wood for the lovely fireplace in the suite. It was such a lovely hideaway place set in the bush.

Review 25:Being surrounded by nature and peace in a truly idyllic location

Review 26:We loved the beautiful location, the fireplace, the delicious breakfast, and the way we were made to feel really welcome.

Review 34:Private, cosy and restful.
