Reviews for Park Hotel Villaferrata

Review 1:The wifi was not available in the rooms. The windows let in cold air.

Review 2:It is a great value for a stay in Rome if you don't mind traveling an hour to and from the center of Rome.

Review 3:Beautiful grounds and wonderful structure and nice roomy rooms. It has the potential of being super if attention was given to taking care of little things that don't work and need fixing up. It is a ways out of Rome. It can be done but you do lose some time since you have to get a shuttle to the train station for a connection to Rome.

Review 4:Paper towels in the rest rooms went lacking for 2 days. Need attention to details.

Review 5:Rooms were nice with comfortable beds. The conference room was adequate, with screen.

Review 6:The only thing that needs to be improved is the shuttle transfer to the train station. There were times in the morning when the driver was late for 10 minutes and we almost missed the train.

Review 7:The hotel provided us a shuttle every day and that helped a lot because we visited Rome and we needed to take the train to Termini. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is helpful, and the if you choose to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant you're in for a good treat.

Review 8:The bed was very uncomfortable and the room needed updating. Looked run down inside the hotel.

Review 9:The look of the hotel on the outside and the grounds were lovely! The swimming pool looked inviting but didn't use it as only there for 1 night.

Review 10:Bed is very hard. There should be more shuttle buses as there are 2 in the morning and 2 in the early evening (18.24 and 20.24) so factor in €10 taxis - though you can ask the hotel to book you one if the taxi rank is empty. Very difficult to find in a taxi from the airport (get taxi driver to call for directions from Frascati) and costs €70 up. You can do it by public transport easily to Frascati then get the shuttle bus or €10 Euro taxi though takes much longer as trains every half hour to Ciampino then every half a shuttle bus from Ciampino to airport.

Review 11:Happy with the price we paid. The staff were helpful and good enough English to help and it was useful having a 24 reception. Can't fault the cleanliness. Lots of outdoor space. The free 10.15 morning shuttle worked well for day trips into Rome. (There is also an 8.15am one) easy to get a train from Frascati into Rome and just €2.20. Trains every half hour - except onSaturdays where there are none between 9.37 and 12.37. Wifi was very good throughout our stay and free. Breakfast all cold food and basic but was included so good for the price of the hotel

Review 12:Staff didn't seem to understand English very well. There were three weddings whilst we were there and the music from these was intrusive. The restaurant really only caters for groups - the menu was poor.

Review 13:Location and ambience

Review 14:Bathroom: no hangers for towels and soap holder under the shower. Bed: pillows should be improved. Balcony: although equipped with table and chairs, an ashtray would help customers to keep it clean Management: we had reserved two rooms but at check in we were said we had only one. I had to discuss (the marriage was an hour after our check in) and to show all the evidences in order to have the second room.

Review 15:Location: we were there for a marriage and the reception was at the restaurant of this Hotel. Price: good price for what you get. Not a luxury accomodation but fair.

Review 16:Difficult driving in and out of Rome so wouldn't recommend if you aren't using public transport. Complicated even with sat nav. Aircon didn't work properly in our room and in daughter's room it flooded their bedside table including phone and camera.

Review 17:Good value for money. Comfy bed. Would use as base to travel into Rome on train.

Review 18:Restaurant closes at 9.30 pm!!!! We were sent (my ten year old grandson and I) to a pizzeria nearby on a pitch-dark road. After we had driven nearly 12 hours we were starving, but no suggestion about room service with sandwich.... The customer is an unwanted by-product to cashing in!

Review 19:They intentionally leave the pool in disgusting condition so that no one will swim in it. It is a hotel just for weddings.

Review 20:Beautiful room, on beautiful grounds. Free breakfast, free shuttle to train station. We got a really good deal on booking.com.

Review 21:Beds were a bit hard.

Review 22:Kind and helpful staff, Nice garden surronding, quiet at night. Super with shuttle to train station in Frascati every day. Easy access to Rome. Value for money.

Review 23:Street address listed is not exactly correct and our GPS had trouble finding it.

Review 24:The area is quiet and safe. Hotel arranged for free transfer to train station and back for 20 min. train ride to center of Rome. Great breakfast but get there early. Rooms were large and comfortable. A strong 3 star hotel. We would stay here again.

Review 25:The bed was too short and I'm only 1.70m tall. The breakfast table seemed like a hurricane had passed by. The tables were still full of crumbs from a dinner party the night before.

Review 26:the wifi works well and the staff is friendly

Review 27:Nothing

Review 28:Everything. Location was convenient without being in the centre of Rome. Easy train ride to centre. Frascati nearby which was very pleasant on an evening. Staff helpful. and obliging.Good choice at breakfast which was all you can eat buffet. Spacious free parking.

Review 29:the lady who checked us out was not so helpful she just wanted our money and even never said bye to us.

Review 30:The lady that checked us in was amazing very helpful, and always smiling which was nice.

Review 31:This hotel is totally charming and the rooms are so comfortable and well appointed. If you want truly memorable meal without spending much, ask the host for directions to Hostaria Sora Lella - 20 min drive. They have 3 menus(15,20,25E) with each having antipasto, a primo and secondo - delicious and unique.

Review 32:Their food was not the best ! we went to nearby restaurants n honestly its not what we expected of Italian food and neither were they friendly!

Review 33:I like the friendliness of the staff and the outside of the hotel. My kids enjoyed running around...

Review 34:Wi-fi in room (only) poor Sometimes smell of drains in bathroom

Review 35:Free shuttle to train station and back Quiet location Great Value Nice grounds Big room Clean Restaurant ok and others 5min walk wi-fi in most areas

Review 36:There is a dog on an adjoining property which barks at all hours of the night and can keep you awake

Review 37:I liked the privacy and Tuscany feel the staff were excellent and very accomodating the meals in the restaurant were excellent and good value

Review 38:Perfect connection with the city of Frascati and Rome through the hotel's shuttle service to Frascati railway station (an ordinary ticket to Rome Termini is 2.10 Euros). You have a free WiFi at every room and very helpful personnel. Very good breakfast to start the day with. The nice and tranquil garden with the swimming pool, shaded by tall Sosna pinia trees, in the hot summer season are just what you need if yo don't feel like going places.

Review 39:i didnt like the pool area, it was in the wrong place under lots of trees which made it cold with the shade, also very dirty with the leaves etc. some noisy guard dogs very close by, that barked in the night and when you walked near the edge.needed a good general overall outside around the pool area,

Review 40:the hotel was situated in lovely grounds. the staff were very helpful and pleasant. the restaurant and breakfast very good.

Review 41:The staff are friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice relaxing break with good transport links (free shuttle bus to train station then half hour train) into the centre of Rome to explore all the sights.

Review 42:No drink making facility in room Too expensive Poor breakfast, tinned fruit Dirty pool

Review 43:Location as close to frascati Staff helpful and pleasant Room big enough for 4

Review 44:Breakfast was not well organized. We could not use the pool the two afternoons we were there because of weddings and that was one of the reasons why I booked this hotel. Need a bit of remodelling.

Review 45:Nice and quite. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Great with free shuttle to the train station.

Review 46:Too far if you don't have a transportation form. The balconies face hotel entrance.

Review 47:Quite and far from all noise. Swimmingpool. Nice staff and very helpfull.

Review 48:Don't get your washing done here! I got bitten. I had no idea the charge for washing was so much here (maybe in all Europe).

Review 49:This villa had a really nice feel to it. It is a bit out of Rome, but in a beautiful area (have a walk around the hills). Easy access to Rome via a 25 min train ride.

Review 50:quiet and clean

Review 51:It's a nice hotel and the stash are very good. There is one Mr.Moustache at the reception very good man.

Review 52:Everything

Review 53:Problems to connect wifi in room 206a

Review 54:short bed, small room size, towels (?!)

Review 55:Beautiful location, great surroundings

Review 56:The wi-fi was not working, the restaurant was cold and unfriendly, the staff was absent, the environment was unpleasant.

Review 57:The balcony

Review 58:Beauty of the villa and hotel, professionalism and kindness of staff, very classy, fresh air and the surrounding nature. And good value for money!

Review 59:Swimming pool was usable but quite dirty.

Review 60:Helpful staff, great value for money, beautiful features and great connections with Rome.

Review 61:due to 5 weddings during the weekend, we could not use the pool

Review 62:the landscaping of the gardens.

Review 63:bed to short

Review 64:price

Review 65:Difficult to find, even with GPS

Review 66:Excellent location, beautiful surroundings, very close to a fantastic restaurant.

Review 67:The setting and style of the hotel was simply superb. The location of the hotel to the airport(Ciampino) was convenient.

Review 68:We had a very nice dinner.

Review 69:They were very patent with us even though we couldn't speak their language.

Review 70:Showercurtain, no breakfast for early check out.

Review 71:Surroundings

Review 72:Wonderful Staff !

Review 73:Interesting and beautiful place for ceremonies, is not suitable for work and are not equipped bad WIFI, TV old and small, small bathroom.

Review 74:Perfect location for our visit at a school, but even for tourists wanting to enjoy the real italy and Castelli Romano

Review 75:Brekfast

Review 76:Swimming pool dirty : not possible to swim. Employee not nice and not helpfull.

Review 77:Very good value for money. Good breakfast. Large room. Quiet.

Review 78:noisy taps if .not turned on fully.could hear taps from other rooms also.

Review 79:staff very pleasant and helpful. beautiful gardens. room clean and comfortable. food very good.nearby town very nice free shuttle bus . would love to return and stay longer

Review 80:Awful smell in the whole building... something wrong with the sewage system... Not possible to stay there longer than one night because of that. Dirty dishes during breakfast. This is really nice hotel with loads of potential but very neglected.

Review 81:Close to the airport and quite cheep. Very nice garden!

Review 82:yes indeed a bit run down, new paint would help, also renovation of sewage that smells strongly. windows in a very bad condition. if that would be done: perfect!

Review 83:beautiful (wedding) hotel, amazing garden and terrace. beautiful natural stone outside and in bathroom. romantic style. good car parking.

Review 84:The fact that we could not bye a sandwich or anything else as we were all very hungry and not a lot of places open beside hotel think it only caters for weddings

Review 85:While it was a lovely hotel we were there for a wedding

Review 86:Two single beds put together that are unconfortable and fall apart during the night. Quality of towels is terrible and they were stinky. Tv is old and doesn't have any visible channels. The room was quite dirty and cold. I feel sorry for the ppl who pay a lot for these rooms.

Review 87:Beautiful park and location.

Review 88:The rooms are OK, but they are just old. Rooms, where Hercuile Poirot would have enjoyed his time. TV was ancient and did not work, windows had been poorly fixed and they were just old..

Review 89:It is a nice clean hotel with a reasonable price.

Review 90:We had to change room 2x due to the sewer smell coming from the bathrooms. We opted for a smoking room -- anything was better than the sewer smell! The property was clearly underused but our room selection was limited. The wifi was terrible. We had to sit in the hallway far away from the room to get a signal and with the lights being on a motion sensor it caused some headache.

Review 91:What can we say -- nothing much impressed us about this property.

Review 92:Wi-Fi is very strange, working from time to time. Breakfast was almost nothing - just a croissant and some coffee, no hot dishes. Poor soundproof - in the morning some people from nearby rooms were leaving and slamming their doors terribly. Our room needed some renovation, bad smell in the bathroom.

Review 93:Comfortable place to stay when you are going to visit Rome and do not want to suffer in crooked houses in the city center. Good location - on the hill with a spectacular view, not far away from Frascatti train station. You may either use the train (like 25 min to the city center) or leave your car at the nearest Metro station Anagnina and go to Roma by the underground. Castel Romano outlet and the Papal residence at Castel-Gandolfo are very close. Understanding stuff.

Review 94:Needs renovation. 20 years ago, this must have been a great hotel. Also, although we were two groups of total 20 people enjoying drinks after dinner, the receptionist called Migel was extremely rude, literally kicking us out of the hotel restaurant, because they wanted to prepare for next day's breakfast. This left to all of us a very very bad taste!!!

Review 95:Close to the airport Ciampino. Great nature all around.

Review 96:Best value for money. Nice romantic and quiet location , staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast its something amazing. Best orange juice ever, Free parking palce.

Review 97:Beds would not fit a tall person.

Review 98:The amazing surrounding, the varieties of home cakes during breakfast time. A big thank you to Tiziano who has taken his job very seriously with very good manners and a perfect english.

Review 99:The rooms should be renovated, especially the bathrooms. The corridoors and stairs inside, were badly cleaned. A vacuumcleaner is very handy. Unfortunatelly missing in many mediterranean countries.

Review 100:The garden was beautiful,a nd the location very relaxing and calm. The price was so low /50€/night so we can't complain. Stayed only one night, before going to the airport. There are many good restaurants nearby.

Review 101:The pool is a joke. More like a water fountain. And it was so dirty, I suspect it has not been cleaned since winter. And ber in mind that it is not even in use when there are wedding reception or other functions. And they seem to be the main business of the hotel. The sound insulation between the rooms is nonexistant. The staff wasn't much interested in the guests. Bed linen and towels had seen their best days.

Review 102:The park was nice and breakfast was ok.

Review 103:They did not have any information about the area in the rooms or at reception. We found volcanic lake a short drive away and enjoyed a meal in restaurant looking up at the Papal summer retreat.

Review 104:Rooms where large with good facilities set in spacious surroundings and only a 40 min train trip to Rome. They had plenty of free parking so we could leave the car worry free and visit Rome.

Review 105:Hotel Villaferrata is located in a very nice park in a lovely surrounding. The people are very friendly and the rooms are large and clean. It is absolutely quiet with no traffic noise.

Review 106:The room had a classic decor and it seemed recently refurnished, except in something (windows and shower) that looked over used...but it remains a pleasant location in any case.

Review 107:The hotel is in a very good position to visit Castelli Romani. Clean and placed in a quiet position, it offers spacious rooms with a pleasant classic decor. The garden around the hotel is another plus. Breakfast was good (we asked room service and they served us a large assorted tray). Great value for money!

Review 108:Paper thin walls if you are a light sleeper stay away

Review 109:Location

Review 110:rooms need a bit of tlc as was damp in each of the 3 rooms we had

Review 111:staff and location and views - gardens very pretty

Review 112:nothing

Review 113:It's piece of paradise, a real place to stay. Marvelous decor, definetely recommend to anyone: young or elderly, not to be missed!

Review 114:the breakfast is a bit poor.

Review 115:near rome and sea.Can go anywhere with the car.Very good beds.Nice staff.

Review 116:Poor breakfast

Review 117:Value for money
