Reviews for Hotel Tirreno

Review 1:Room smelled like stale smoke and noticed ash tray in room. Room was over kitchen and has to close windows.

Review 2:Location was great, good parking, nice breakfast, clean room.

Review 3:Unfortunately there was a loud music festival 3 nights in a row and it disturbed some sleep. However, this did not reflect on the quality of the hotel for us.

Review 4:Hotel was good, everything fine.

Review 5:the bed was not a double bit consisted of two single beds joined together. It was sometimes uncomfortable.

Review 6:we had a large terrace with see view. Air condition was also a big plus

Review 7:Only one slight disappointment - there is no laundry service for your personal clothing in the hotel. Maybe not a very big problem for a short stay, but for a long term - yes.

Review 8:Everething was just perfect. Three stars with a little plus. Hotel is located in a pine forest, 5 minutes of walk to the beach and to the railway station. 3 min - to central square with it's shops and restaurants. Good breakfasts as for italian beachfront hotel. Cleanliness all around the hotel. We also loved the city. In our opinion - Castiglioncello is the best place for relaxation and recreation for all age. If you are looking for a vacation away from the big city, if you don't need discotheque or parties, this option will be the best for you. Excellent food, cozy hotels, beautiful beach and seashore, resonable prices, a small town with great charm - you will find it in Castiglioncello. Highly recommended!

Review 9:Many guests come every year for a month or more .the one dinner we ate at the hotel, took 3 hrs.all the other guests in the dining room were finished eating before we were served our meal, whenI asked why it took so long, they told us that the regular guests had priority. And many tables in the dining room were reserved for regular guests. Even for breakfast. The rooms are very small, not uncomon for Europe, the first room we were in took 2 days for the air to cool it, the second room with balcony( which we originally reserved) when we moved into this room, the air worked great but noisy. the mattress was so bad we didn't sleep the next 2 nights. We left gladly to our next stop. No ocean views as assured in the hotel ads.we pd. for a balcony for 4 nights with ocean view and got none.

Review 10:Beautiful hotel, once a palace.well located near shops, restaurants etc. very clean and well maintained. Desk staff helpful.breakfast was wonderful, included in price. Dinner was excellent, double the price of an excellent seafood restaurant at the corner.

Review 11:None.p

Review 12:Proximity to all the beaches.,the shady streets and the life .and a very good restaurant nearby.hotel's parking was excellent oo.

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:The friendly staff

Review 15:Guests average were around 70, only one receptionist spoke english and on the end receptionist tried to me count 7 days of stay instead of 6. No more, thanks.

Review 16:Position

Review 17:We found no fault on our visit.

Review 18:The very friendly welcome from all the family and staff, the hotel is close to the small, town square and restaurants. The free car park and wifi were very good. The public areas of the hotel were cool, delightfully furnished with interesting artwork. Our bedroom and terrace were of good size, as was the king-size bed. We enjoyed a wide range of breakfast foods - cereal, fruit, pastries, savoury and great coffee.

Review 19:Lovely Hotel! We had a room with a very large balcony/terrace incl. sun launcher. Good size shower. Breakfast buffet great choice, great coffee. Friendly people. Within minutes of walk you can get to the seafront, shops, restaurants.

Review 20:Poor wifi connection. Room a little dated. Staff not amazingly helpful

Review 21:The hotel is well located, very close to the train station where regular trains can take you to Pisa, Florence etc. It is very near to the beach, only a couple of minutes stroll away, and the beach is lovely, clean and not too busy. Our room was clean, but perhaps a little dated. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Breakfast was pleasant and plentiful.

Review 22:Staff dismissive when arrived at 8 pm to be told dining room closed as out of season and no suggestion of providing any alternative. Lady receptionist very smug.

Review 23:Location

Review 24:The resort finishes its season on 15th Sept, so there wasn't anywhere to get an evening meal except two very expensive restaurants. The hotel also stops serving then. When we went back later in the week we didn't get such a good room as no balcony etc but it was the same price as the room we had originally booked over the internet.

Review 25:We liked the room, breakfast & location so much that we booked another night later in the week .

Review 26:Breakfast not the best quality, coffee tasted of u.h.t. milk

Review 27:Beautiful and well-maintained buildings & gardens, large sea view balcony with our room.

Review 28:No negatives, loved it.

Review 29:nice quite, clean, quaint, hotel, close to the sea, restaurants, Gelato! Lovely spot. Half an hour to Pisa. We used this as a stop-off point on our way there, good choice.

Review 30:Everything about the hotel and the owners is excellent, great location a few steps from Castiglioncello with is bars and shops and also beside the park for lovely walks and access to the beach front walks.
