Reviews for The LaLiT Golf & Spa Resort Goa
Review 1:Firstly the charge 1 hour free internet for 1 device per day when all other hotels and restaurant have free wifi . Secondly the golf course is only a very short 9 hole course with very rough greens.
Review 2:If you like to go to beach which is quiet , peaceful and laid back this is the resort to stay . Quite overpriced for a 20 year old hotel . But it's clean and the position is excellent .
Review 3:More tailored towards Indian guests and the wi-fi was chargeable which is crazy in this day and age.
Review 4:The staff were very friendly and helpful, not the quickest but then that's the Goan way and didn't bother us at all. The location was great for us as you could walk along the beach to Patnem.
Review 5:Unfortunately we had no hot water during our stay - luke warm at best. Given the hotel's prices and star rating this was a very serious lapse, for which no adequate explanation or compensation was offered. In addition the staff attitude in their beach shack restaurant is poor and the food very much hit and miss. Avoid the Goan fishburger - ours came cold!!
Review 6:9 hole golf course is the only one in Goa and not expensive to play on. The Resort Manager, Prabal, is a charming man and we spent over 2 hours chatting to him on the morning after our night's stay.
Review 7:The location is really really south Goa so it is quite difficult to get to places like Panjim etc. The staff were 50/50 some of them really sweet and some of them downright rude. The rooms while being comfortable are beginning to look old and if they are charging 5 star rates then they need to offer 5 star facilities as well.
Review 8:The property is beautiful and really well laid out. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The food was excellent, every meal whether it was a buffet or we ordered A la carte. The facilities like the pool and leisure activities were fantastic.
Review 9:Staff didn't really know what was going on. Constant passing the buck. Told wrong timings for breakfast which resulted in missing it. Leaking dining room in the rain. Building falling apart in some places.
Review 10:Poor housekeeping Poor serving size in restaurants Not 5 star quality hospitality. They are more geared towards mass conference style work. I feel very hard done by
Review 11:Great location and nice architecture. Immense potential
Review 12:Should give free wifi in this day & age! Staff esp at restaurant was unresponsive & unable to help for basic things like getting a butter knife/ getting jam Room etc need an upgrade - not well maintained
Review 13:Lovely gardens & exterior Secluded beach Good pool
Review 14:1) the fact that i had to pay for internet as an in-house guest in 2015 is beyond ridiculous! Big negative. 2) With the coffee shop full,we got ushered to a 2nd location for breakfast which was very poor. Mainly south-indian fare. For a 5 star restaurant the quality and the variety were very weak. 3) service was weak. had to call front desk or room service MANY times before the phone was even picked up.
Review 15:beautiful premises and stunning beach.
Review 16:Its so expensive, and not worth the money. We had no hot water in the room, and had to be moved. They then put us up in a room, next to a stage that was being erected for a wedding for 400 people. The scaffolding was still being erected at 01.00 in the morning, until i complained. Never again.
Review 17:Comfortable bed. Nice size rooms.
Review 18:Service was mediocre for such an expensive hotel. There were times we would pester the concierge to help us book activities, only to find out that they completely forgot about us. Price was relatively expensive, in my opinion. I was forced to pay for the New Years Gala dinner, which wasn't worth the price.
Review 19:Getting to the hotel is quite a trip from the airport (2 hours by car), but the private beach somewhat makes up for it all. Really enjoyed how secluded it was from Patnem and Palolem, while still being accessible at the same time.
Review 20:This hotel chain is big cheat ! Who lure people through offering value packages and recover the same by leveing some absord taxes. The hotel staff are totally incompetent to even make normal conversation. You would be treated very casually even if you had any emergency situation.
Review 21:The level of understanding of the staff The confusion of food orders at the Goan Restaurant The Service at the Pool Bar.....had to keep trying to get someone to take our order
Review 22:The courteousness of the staff The comfort and cleanliness of the entire hotel The New Year's Eve Party and food quality The car service that dropped us back
Review 23:I paid my bill in full on arrival but at the end noticed anomalies with the advertised tax rates against what was charged. This hotel is India 5 star and you'll pay 5 star prices. My advice is check your bill and avoid the hotel restaurants and bars, unless of course you enjoy paying 3 and half times more than the local rate outside....
Review 24:The staff were fantastic, friendly and ever helpful. Really enjoyed the pool and gardens. Nice roomy rooms, with reasonable amenities.
Review 25:Check in very unpleasant, Check in staff wanted me to deposit cash of 20000 since they cannot block debit card , In age of cashless transaction these looked very odd and I had to empty my pockets and deposit cash , when questioned staff there reply was that others deposit lakhs in cash what's big deal, Paid 22,000 for 2 night package still hotel wants customer chip in additional amount was really surprise for world traveller, like me,
Review 26:Swimming pool was good, Room very spacious,
Review 27:The food needs improving The hotel structure needs a revamp, we were there in the rainy season and there were leakages all over the hotel More variety in the food..... after a couple of days everything tasted the same. Coffee and tea needs improvement.... too watery and insipid
Review 28:Location Beautiful landscaping Away from the hustle-bustle of goa
Review 29:Staff attitude and behavior, dirty cushions, shower panel was poor(in other hotelz its far better) delay in service, location is too far, debitting money in advance and so we are forced to stay!
Review 30:Only the resort beach we liked.
Review 31:Noisy neighbours but once I moved was restful
Review 32:Excellent staff. Spacious comfortable bedrooms Beautifully kept grounds. Great loungers around pool
Review 33:Could have been a little cleaner in the room
Review 34:From the welcome to the check out, the staff were amazing! Great beds - so comfortable
Review 35:The food was tasty but extremely costly.
Review 36:The ambience and the stay was very refreshing
Review 37:Mediocre overall
Review 38:best part was GOLF !!
Review 39:Lifts were quite far away. No complimentary drop to airport despite paying high room rent
Review 40:room was good
Review 41:Wi fi not worked and u hv to give totally free
Review 42:Hospitality excellent
Review 43:Its on the expensive side. Food and Spa costs are more than that in Mumbai
Review 44:The property and staff is good
Review 45:The travel distance from airport
Review 46:Beach was simply amazing
Review 47:Expensive food compared to other similar stay places.
Review 48:Room size was very nice with good sitting area.Food was good and tasty.
Review 49:Nothing.
Review 50:Everything.
Review 51:Breakfast quality
Review 52:Luxury suites.
Review 53:wifi payment high taxes incredible taxes even for laundry!
Review 54:location bed confort big room
Review 55:the phone service needs improvement
Review 56:grt food
Review 57:far off distance from from airport
Review 58:sports facility. including squash courts
Review 59:Staff. Food. Dolphin boat was like a fishermans boat
Review 60:The property per se.
Review 61:Paid wifi
Review 62:Excellent and best place for destress
Review 63:Would give it a 3* not a 5* rating.
Review 64:The staff are rude and I would never go back.
Review 65:No free WiFi, the stray dogs made lots of noise during the night
Review 66:Beautiful garden, extremely clean, nice staff, close to lively Palolem
Review 67:Smelly bathroom needs renovation Food is expensive
Review 68:Property
Review 69:somewhat costly.. but reasonable..
Review 70:nice ambience, friendly staff, very neat and clean beautiful view..
Review 71:No accommodation and wash room for driver. Not much sports activity in resort.
Review 72:They should provide airport transfers as there property is very far & giving comfort to customer for reaching the place should be there responsibility and they should not charge extra for that if they want they should calculate there tariff so that they themselves include this service.
Review 73:The hospitality of the staff was excellent.
Review 74:Inspite of very good location the rooms really need renovation, matress and pillows are old they need to be replaced. Furniture for a five star hotel needs more comfort.
Review 75:I liked the hospitality of the staff's. They really saw to that all our needs where met.
Review 76:service was horrible.attitude of staff towards guests was very cold.there were flies on the food at every meal.at wedding functions a/c was not functioning at all the venues inspite of repeated complaints.
Review 77:rooms were good.
Review 78:The breakfast was pathetic. Flies everywhere, even in the milk. Food was very average but over priced. The tubs were cracked.
Review 79:The staff from house keeping - Devika Komarpart, Somany Ranjan Das & Anand Gaonkr - were excellent and friendly. Room service was also good. The rooms were large and comfortable.
Review 80:Everything is extra, from a spare bed request for a child, despite a family room, (although if you are prepared to accept a mattress on the floor they will leave the frame in the cupboard and charge you a lower amount)
Review 81:Without a doubt, the best hotel around palolem and patnem although the lack of competition meant that the service and standard delivered by staff and managment fell shirt if what I would come to expect of a hotel of this size and expense. It could be more family friendly - the pool certainly could have been warmer and the surrounding area more accommodating towards children.
Review 82:Food and drinks within the hotel complex are SO expensive.
Review 83:Staff at The lalit are fantastic. The beach is beautiful and empty. The pool is great fun. The hotel is beautiful and well located for trips and days out.
Review 84:The prices are really over the top, more expensive than London at times, totally unnecessary.
Review 85:The food was great, the staff were very helpful and service was really good, always a smile on the face of the staff
Review 86:service is like unbelievable. No one comes for 1 hour after being called. One entire day no hot water was provided for bath. I mean, this is the service of a so called 5 star hotel ???? I prefer Hyatt or Taj, seriously !!!
Review 87:Cleanliness, Food
Review 88:Outdated furniture, food had hair in it and was cold (Salim the restaurant manager was very pushy and rude - particularly when I informed him), really didn't think that it was worth all the money and taxes... So many better and cheaper beach huts in patnem!
Review 89:The bed and location
Review 90:The water in the pool wasn't clean (seems like there was a problem with the filters at that time). May be it's not a permanent problem. There are no russian speaking people at reception and no russian tv channels at all though 80 per cent of hotel customers are Russian tourists
Review 91:Very good service and beautiful territory with the golf fields
Review 92:Extra charge on anything, for example, 800 ropi for wi-fi a day. Location is far from palolam, and the hotel charge 200 ropi a way for car service.
Review 93:Very high class hotel, you must love the architecture. Stuff welcoming and helpful.
Review 94:not informed that a wedding was going to take place during my stay, and i found the noise in the early hours of the morning to be very disturbing. the blocking of the restaurants to cater fo the wedding party also limited my dining choices.
Review 95:the resort is great to relax with plenty of facilities availble.
Review 96:The breakfast was crazily disorganized. We couldn't find clean table and the waiter seemed determined to do as little as possible. He looked shocked when we asked him to clean the table and eventually wiped it down with a dirty napkin from another table. He was painfully slow getting new cutlery and wandered off in the middle. We managed to get two forks, one knife and a dirty spoon. The next day we paid extra to have breakfast in the room and it was mediocre at best.
Review 97:The room was very spacious and well decorated. The pool, beach and surrounding area (golf course) of the resort was peaceful and nicely maintained. There are taxis readily available to take you to the touristy areas.
Review 98:Service is shambolic and deeply ineffective. Quite overpriced for the value offered, but that seems endemic to this part of Goa. Food offerings aren't great.
Review 99:Beach is lovely and is just close enough to the village of Patnem.
Review 100:Poor Transport Facilities . Bad Staff and Service . Couple of them goodmany bad. Run like a College than a Hotel .They call it a new year Bi#ch party but its the worst party ever . Just money motive and clearly run like a school . They need to learn from Leela or Taj on how to provide service . The owner has done a good job in terms of investing in the property but the team is not good enough .
Review 101:Big Property
Review 102:Spa is a bit dated
Review 103:Seemed a very big hotel but relaxing and friendly staff. Short walk to lovely beach.
Review 104:No hot water in the bathroom
Review 105:Great resort !!!
Review 106:far from airport
Review 107:just relaxing
Review 108:very far from airport
Review 109:very good hotel
Review 110:Airport transportation not provided by hotel.
Review 111:Computer access horrible Facility is very large
Review 112:Complimentary wine
