Reviews for Carlton Hotel Nahariya

Review 1:The carpets in the corridor and room were stained, and the curtains on the French windows were in hideous condition. All of the textiles need to be thrown out and replaced. The furnishings were cheap and old with marks.

Review 2:The room was big, there was a nice garden with Jacuzzi at the back (not much use in winter but would be very pleasant in warm weather), there was a coffee corner, tv with all channels, and hot water. All very basic but adequate.

Review 3:There is very few amenities not even toothbrush or toothpaste, no first aid kit at the property, cleaning service is not reliable we had to keep asking for towels as they would take old one and not replace with new ones. I had paid booking.com as a room with breakfast included but it ended up not being included so I had to pay for breakfast.

Review 4:Property is close to shops and restaurants.

Review 5:At checking in had to come down three times because the key did not work. My room was never cleaned.

Review 6:Great location, wonderful staff. My room had a big, beautiful terrace.

Review 7:Could have been a little closer to beach but still in walking distance.

Review 8:Our room was pretty modern -- maybe 4 star for Israel, but definitely not 5 star.. Other reviews talked about how shabby the rooms were. Maybe we paid just a little more. Either way, the price was fair. Location was great to get around town but a little further from the beach than other hotels -- yet, within walking distance. Meals were plentiful and nicely presented. Staff responded to our needs. They offer a half-day rate if you check out late at night -- great for Shabbat guests or those we want to spend a full day on the beach.

Review 9:No bad experience, except getting the WiFi password wrong.

Review 10:The hotel was close to the train station. Very handy for us.Also within walking distance to the beach.

Review 11:Very crowded and the noise level is very high.

Review 12:The room came with breakfast credit coupons. The breakfast meals were an excellent hot buffet. However, if there were no coupons, the meal would be extremely over priced.

Review 13:We stayed for a single night after attending a wedding in Naharia.Mostly looking for simple accommodation for a decent price. It wasindeed a good deal, and I must say the staff made an effort at thebeginning - mostly Chen the front desk receptionist (who was extremelyhelpful and even offered us her personal cell phone number). The first downside was the fact that there is no parking available for all the guests . We had to pay about extra 100₪ for the parking. Not mentioning that there is nowhere to unload the bags,we actually had to park outside and carry all the baggage + 2 babies.Second, when we arrived at the hotel & got the keys to the room, after unlocking the door - my toddler daughter entered first - and got terrified walking on a NAKED COUPLE in the room... The woman started screaming and the whole scene was very unpleasant... When we went back to the reception, they said they are sorry for the mixup, but no compensation was offered & no official apology was given by any one of the management. Maybe they didn't realize the HUGE embarrassing screw up. We didn't want to make a mess out of it and just wanted to get our room...Next - the room. The baby crib wasn't there, though we certainly asked for it when booking the room. It took about half an hour to get it up there, and take out the extra single bed. When they took it out - the floor under it (where they placed the crib) was filthy - picture attached. No one came to clean it, though the bellboy saw it.The room itself is of a decent size. Our bed was two single beds put together- which might be reasonable- however they were of different height! (Picture included). The upside was that the bed linings where clean, and so was the bathroom. The pool is big and looks nice, the water in the main pool looked clean, however I cant say the same about the baby's pool... It was a mess.

Review 14:Location + Chen the front desk representative.

Review 15:Location only. Hotel dirty & neglected. Broken taps dirty bath we cleaned ourselves the jacuzzi. Toasters not eorking in dining room. Parking is a joke! Swimming pool opens at 9 am - are you kidding me??

Review 16:My only negative comment is about facilities at the pool. Shower at entrance not in use and dirty toilets needed cleaning and no soap in dispensers. Otherwise pool was warm clean and plenty subbed towels and chairs.

Review 17:Staff were really helpful my room (, I was upgraded) was spacious well appointed with safe, empty fridge - a bonus, hairdryer in bathroom air con flat screan telly. Walls a bit sparse a few wall hangings / pictures would lift it. Bathroom clean and nice strong shower in bath.

Review 18:The pool area looked run down from the outside but inside it was fine but very noisy

Review 19:They automatically without our requesting it upgraded us to a suite possibly because they could see my wife was not too happy when saw the position of the hotel, on a main shopping street . The suite had a large garden veranda attached and so we spent lots of time there and we were happy to do so. The food in the restaurant was good for a small hotel.

Review 20:Wi Fi didn't work on night I stayed which is a big problem for biz traveler. Very surprised with free bottle of wine, nibbles and biscuits when brought to my room.

Review 21:Hotel had some style for a change albeit decor needs refreshing. Price was really excellent and also for such a large room that was allocated to me.

Review 22:Recent upgrades were good but the beds are still ancient and must be replaced. Do not get a room by the elevators they are all very loud.

Review 23:Breakfast was very good but cheaper to add at the hotel. Location and pool were the best parts of this hotel.

Review 24:Filthy hotel. Common carpets, worn, torn and very dirty. No evidence of them being vacuumed. General cleanliness poor. Both bathrooms were quite dirty.

Review 25:Staff were helpful and polite, Check in and check out were fast and efficient. Asked to move allocated room due to very bad smell and a Jacuzzi that couldn't be switched off and this was done without any fuss.

Review 26:Disgusting and dirty carpets, rusted and old bathroom accessories. No shampoo, soaps, shower caps. Old curtains with broken pole. Had to change rooms because of all these and the other room was as bad! I spoke to booking.com and will send pics for a refund upon investigation.

Review 27:Nothing to like!

Review 30:room needed refurbishing, very tatty and carpet, bath and duvet cover stained. Only the hand shower worked, the standing shower did not.
