Review 3：Up a bit of a hill just outside Capri town center. Hauling luggage from where taxi let me off was a bit of a chore.

Review 5：We were supposed to have a "sea view" which in the photos showed a lovely straight forward view of the sea, we got a small corner room with a sliver of sea and a big construction project going on right out the patio door with jack hammers and yelling, etc. My husband asked as the front desk and was told there was nothing to be done about it. The hotel was not even half full!!! At dinner I ordered a dish that had chili peppers and Schezuan peppers. Dish came with nothing except tomatoes and cheese!! Waiter said he was going to ask the chef what happened to the peppers and then proceeded to ignore us.

Review 18：The service is second to none.... friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. The best arrival experience which included a short tour of the whole hotel. So many art pieces displayed everywhere.... beautiful objects from all around the world. Even our room was full of beautiful art pieces and amazing books from Taschen.

Review 25：The hotel was superb,right from the stairs up to the entrance and then the reception area to the incredible interior. It was like stepping into a carefully thought out work of art with every detail covered. The spa and pool area was divine as was the Restuarant and breakfast selection in the morning. The position was also perfect with a beautiful view and just a few steps from town. Perfect!

Review 26：Room on the 1st floor: I booked a superior double room. I was given a room in the first floor with sea view. Problem was that it is by the street and the first 2 nights I was awoken at 5:45 am by deliveries in the street. Do not accept a room in the first floor if you can avoid it. Staff: While the staff was generally friendly and helpful, I was not fully satisfied with the front desk staff response to our complaints. After 2 nights of being waken up at 5:45 am (see above), we complained and asked to be moved. The staff did move us and took us to another room of the same category which, although it had no sea view, was a much better room (it had a bath and a balcony). What I didn't like was the attitude of the staff. In front of an unhappy customer (at this point I felt I was given the worst room in the hotel), they said things like "we can't control what happens in the street", "this is unusual for us" or "as you are in your honeymoon, we would normally upgrade you, but we are fully booked", only to be upgraded an hour later by the hotel manager, leaving me both grateful for the upgrade and feeling like the front desk staff lied to me about being fully booked. They offered a service to transport your luggage to the port, but never told us we had to pay for it, which would have been useful as so many things are included in the high price tag of the hotel

Review 27：The location is great, in the heart of Capri but just outside the action, giving it a quiet feel. The hotel is luxurious and has a lot of class, they charge you for it though Water zone of the spa is nice and included. Bed is comfortable and large The minibar is included (2 beers and a variety of soft drinks) In summer, it was hosting free drinks and a DJ at the pool on Friday evenings.

As a result you can dothe sightseeing stuff if you so choose but you can also relax and takethe island at your own pace which is what we did. Facilities wereoverall great, amazing views, rooms were big and clean, the terrace hada gorgeous view overlooking the water, the spa and pool were great aswell. Very unique and interesting design which gives the hotel that"boutique" feel which makes it even more special than a run-of-the-mill Four Season or a Ritz. Everybody isattentive, eager to help, personable, the staff knew our names andremembered exactly what restaurant they had recommended to us the prevday and were eager to hear feedback. We even ran into a member of the staff when we were walking around the town and he remembered our name and made a point to talk to us. It was exceptional service from everyone while we were there. We loved it so much we found ourselves wanting to head back to the hotel all day rather than seeing the sights! We used the water spa (free!) both days. It was beautiful and relaxing. This was the perfect resting point for us in our trip through Italy.

Review 80：This was our fourth stay at this hotel. Our previous 3 stays occured during the years that the hotel was a JW Marriott. The hotel has been completed refurbished and it is beautiful. The new feeling is one of a boutique hotel with an intimate feeling. The entire staff went out of its way to meet our every need. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back.

Review 83：When we arrived at the Capri ferry port the luggage handler was helpful in calling the hotel's representative and confirmed for us to leave the luggage to be delivered by hotel staff and electric car. We asked for a receipt and did not get one. Although the hotel reception confirmed that it was fine and the luggage indeed arrived to our rooms, for a while we were a bit uncomfortable leaving our luggage without a receipt on the busy Capri pier. Wish people refrain from smoking on this beautiful island to allow us all enjoy more of the Capri fresh air instead of second hand smoke.

Review 84：The hotel is located in proximity to shops and restaurants. The staff are helpful and informed to provide guidance on restaurant bookings and travel arrangements. Excellent breakfast with a beautiful setting.

Review 85：The hotel is extremely close to the center of Capri so you can easily walk and stroll around the shops and restaurants but yet very quiet and serene. The amenities are fantastic, the pool area is very relaxing and in general a fantastic hotel to stay in Capri.

Review 86：I payed 650 usd/night in a 5 star hotel and discovered that is a 4star willing to become 3 star hotel. We arrived in the hotel and theroom was increrable small, really, really small and the internetwasn't working inside the room. After a long time they installed aninternet router inside the our room. We asked the concierge service tomake a reservation in club la fontelina and we were informed that wascompletly full for the week. We went there by our own and reserved twodays! The fired alarm started ringing at 6am one day and theycouldn't turn it off. In the check out nobody asked if everthing wasok. Thats the problem with some hotels that want to be cool and forgetthe basic things.

Review 96：Terrible place for anyone with kids. They might as well not allow kids given their policies towards them. They only allow kids at the pool for a very short window in the middle of the day and then insist that they are absolutely silent.

Review 102：The hotel is well designed with modern structure and stylish furniture. The staff was great from the greeting at the port (Marina Grande) where David received us until the check out (we used the pool and spa before we left the room). The pool is excelent for adults and kids, breakfast was complete and with an awesome view of the ocean. The room was clean and the bathroom big and nice.

However, we took her to thepool in the afternoon & perhaps because the pool was quiet, theydidn't seem to mind. I would have been really disappointed if we hadnot been able to use it. The pool was so nice, loved theindoor/outdoor aspect, jets & whole modelling. We all loved this poolbest of all those experienced on our 6 week European holiday. Gorgeousinterior & very friendly staff who went beyond the call of duty tomake us comfortable, especially the restaurant staff at breakfast.Breakfast was delicious. We were impressed with the huge choice ofinternational papers delivered to your room in the morning. Onlynegative was my spa experience, the girl didn't seem to fullyunderstand the treatment & ended up bringing in the spa menu after Iquestioned her about it. She wasn't very helpful, friendly orparticularly good at her craft. Hopefully just a one off situation.This hotel is so comfortable & gorgeous and very short walk (up alittle hill) from the centre of Capri. Wished we had stayed longer!

Review 109：Be sure to include additional time to find the hotel porter that hascarried your luggage to the marina on departure. The marina area isteeming with people and they can't tell you at which dock your departingferry will arrive. It was a scramble for us with minutes to spare.Admittedly, not the hotels fault - just a warning.
