Review 36:Only spent 1 evening at Portatenea, but for 1 night it offered an excellent portal to the old city of Agrigento and great proximity to the Valley of Temples. The staff was very accommodating and gave great suggestions for visiting the temples and setting us up with dinner reservations. The breakfast is served on their lovely roof deck, a definite bonus. The food is simple, as expected in Italy. The ambiance of the deck makes up for anything that may be missing from the breakfast menu.

Review 73:Just for information! The parking place is ver close to the B&B (not more than 100 meters). There are two guys who tried to take a parking ticket for us and wanted to have a tip for this. You don't need them to do this. It's much easier and cheaper to take the ticket on your own.

Review 74:We loved the room and the beautiful terrasse, where we had our breakfast. It is in the Center and everything is reachable by feet. We had a warm and nice welcome. We highly appreciated the e-mail for parking advices.

Review 75:Just be prepared for stairs 50 up to reception and another 20 to get to our room.

Review 76:This B&B was super easy to find as it is right at the start of the Main Street into the old town. just a short walk from the bus station. The owner's English was very good and this helped us find our way around the town and to the beach using local transport. the B&B has a lovely roof top terrace where breakfast is served, you can also use the terrace at other times. We took advantage of this with a take away pizza and a bottle of the local red. A great recommendation

Review 77:The staff were all most kind and helpful. The rooftop terrace with its lovely views was open to guests at all times and provided a wonderful place to relax. The room was airy and spacious.

Review 78:The B & B was on 1st floor, but Sandra immediately help us on our heavy luggages when we arrived. She also provided us when lots of useful information during our stay in Agrigento. When we check out, a staff help us to carry the luggages to downstairs. Location of the B & B was excellent. Wi-fi was very good in all areas in the B & B. The roof was very relaxing and can see the tempo.

Review 80:Quaint B&B in the CIty Center, walking distance to shopping and good restaurants. Rooftop terrace with veiws of the Valley de Temples and Sea, also great breakfast on terrace. Room was clean, comfy and quiet.

Review 81:Be aware of steep stairs up to B&B. Climb is well worth it though!

Review 82:Location in centre of town. Delightful roof terrace providing views of valley of temples and then on to the sea. Varied breakfasts with abundant fresh oranges. Quirky French touches in room. Room balcony overlooks bustling street. Help with parking was much appreciated. Thank you.

Review 83:Nothing.

Review 89:Location not too far from valley of temples. Good breakfast. Great view from roof terrace. Helpful staff who carried our heavy bags up and down steep flights of stairs. Easy to take bus to valley of temples. Free parking nearby if you are lucky

Review 90:We chose this BnB for its location (short walk from the bus station and also from the train station) and also because it has an option for an early check in. It is right at the beginning of one of the main streets in Agrigento, and we were lucky enough to have a balcony to people-watch from. The bonus was the terrace upstairs (which was available for guests to use outside of breakfast) will a view of the Valley of the Temples. The breakfast was very good, with fresh cheese and meat, Cannoli, croissants, fresh fruit and cake all available. Our room was spacious, with two balconies (we're not sure everyone is so lucky!), lovely curtains and a shiny new ensuite.

Review 91:Access is by a steep flight of marble stairs that would be difficult forthose who depend on there being a lift. But this is an old quarter ofthe town, the street is both attractive and fashionable. And Philippowas quick to help carry our luggage up the stairs. But the absence of alift did not in any way spoil our stay.

Review 92:The location in Agrigento is attractive and parking is convenient.Sandro and Philippo are most welcoming and very helpful withinformation. There is an excellent roof top terrace for breakfast.

Review 93:Very minor redecoration required in room.

Review 94:Sandar welcomes you to the charming B & B Portatenea, up a flight of steps, onthe lovely shopping street of Agrigento and only a stone's throw (well maybe a short drive) to the Valle dei Templi.
