Reviews for Bay Club - an Atlas Boutique Hotel

Review 1:Not enough towels, luxury soaps and shampoos were very skimpy. Pillows too hard

Review 2:We needed a last minute booking and found this beautifully decorated hotel. Great breakfast and nice staff

Review 3:Only a very minor thing - not really a complaint - the strong smell of the scented sticks in the lounge. Don't know why they were needed at all, there didn't appear to be an unpleasant smell. All very clean.

Review 4:Great staff, very helpful. Lovely feel, small but very clean and comfortable. 'Happy hour' was great - what a nice idea, and in a very comfortable lounge downstairs (upstairs lounge was nice too). Good breakfasts. Location was a little disappointing at first glance, but turned out to be very convenient.

Review 5:Location is a bit far from the action but it's quiet.

Review 6:Lovelyl hotel, very nice happy hour and breakfast, clean, new, and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.

Review 7:There was some noise in the bathroom because of the ventilation which was not possible to turn off.

Review 8:Good location. Nice room. Good breakfast. Happy hour in the evening.

Review 9:Small bath towels Bad coffee quality in room's tray Small room to be considered superior The fact there is a different fee for Friday night wasn't mentioned anywhere during reservation

Review 10:That happy hour atmosphere was nice

Review 11:the door from the bathroom into the bedroom was so stiff I had to call my daughter to open it from the other side, at the happy hour no real wine,, found a pair of black underpants in the wardrobe, not a good position, no amenities close by

Review 12:lovely room with balcony, staff excellent, the happy hour, lovely building with an amazing history

Review 13:there were bed bugs! And the hotel manager was the worst communicator I have ever encountered. He gave no apology, and suggested I pay for a doctor to find out what had bitten me. He was also rude.

Review 14:Good view. Nice decor. Happy hour allows guests to meet. The kitchen staff were nice

Review 15:Difficult to find. It would be helpful to have clear instructions on how to get to the hotel by car. Parking was a problem when I checked in and when I returned in the late evening.

Review 16:Nothing :-)

Review 17:I stayed only 1 night and wanted to see as much as possible in Haifa. Vicki and Hila were extremely helpful with tourist and buses information. Thank you :-)

Review 18:The hotel is simply beautiful. The lounge is gorgeous and welcoming, and the entire design is simply beautiful. We would be happy to move in! Service is very pleasant by everyone, from the receptionst to the waiter who brings you coffee for breakfast, and smiles with all his heart. The hotel paid for our cab (one way) to go to the Bahai Garden, which was yet another beautiful experience. Happy hour in the afternoon - with food and wine - was yet another perk. It's a very nice getaway.

Review 19:Internet keeps disconnecting parking on public street space not always available

Review 20:Staff friendly rooms clean and comfortable breakfast good Nice decor

Review 21:As usual, there has to be some kind of fraud in a small hotel in Israel. Even though everything else is good, the impression is ruined. I needed a room for 2 and a 14 years old child. While booking the room in Booking.com it was written that they don't charge for children under the age of 2 (that means- a room for 2 for 218$ per night+a child under the age of 2?) however a room for 2 with a child costs already 238$, and a room for 3 costs 266$ per night. While checking-in, we found out that a room for 2 with a child under the age of 2(!) costs 238$, for the other rooms- 266$, and there is no a room for 3; it's a room with one large bed for two persons and one additional small bed where only a child can fit. After I've told them about this inconsistency, they told me that I was the first one to notice it and they lowered me the price to 238$(a room for 2 adults and one child 2-17. Don't forget that children under 2 are for free!), as it's written on booking.com. Overall- the room is good however if there is an additional bed(except for the large one), there is no more place in the room. There is nothing in the minibar (in the case you become hungry or thirsty), it served us as a small refrigerator. The bathroom door is a sliding door which makes it hard to use(my 14 year old daughter could not open and close it by herself). The sanitary engineering was broken-the water doesn't stop flushing in the toilet so it made noises all the night, and when we turned to the reception- they said they could not help us since it was Friday(we left the next day), in addition the shower hose flowed. The breakfast was very good.

Review 22:The breakfast was very good.

Review 23:The only thing missing from this hotel was a swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, she shower was excellent and really powerful and it was designed so beautifully. We loved staying at the Bay Club. The breakfast was pretty good too!

Review 24:The coffee in the morning was weak and on the last day, very weak. It was replaced by a better one upon request.

Review 25:Almost everything. The room was very comfortable, nice large shower, very quiet although centrally located. Friendly and polite staff.

Review 26:The smallest rooms I have ever experienced in a hotel. Front desk "manager" lied to us about upgrading our room. It was tiny with no room for our luggage. When we refused it, our original room became available.

Review 27:Nothing at all.

Review 28:This is an absolutely beautiful property with a staff that could not have worked harder to make our stay memorable. My kids enjoyed the happy hour and the amazing views, my husband and I were thrilled with outstanding customer service, charming accommodations and the comfy beds. This is a top pick for Haifa!!!

Review 29:The staff were fabulous and helpful, always bending over backwards to accommodate your needs. The rooms and their bathrooms were comfortable and designed with detail. Also enjoyed happy hour and the breakfast.

Review 30:Our booking confirmation was cancelled by the hotel. The staff suddenly requested to book for a minimum stay of three days. When we showed up in person, they were again willing to give us a room for 1 night but at a significantly higher rate. And finally they deared us as no-shows. A hotel to avoid !!!

Review 31:Parking situation was a disaster. The spaces - external only - on the street - were so tight that someone hit my rental; car getting in or out (which of course I then had to pay for|).

Review 32:Room was nice - two storeys

Review 33:Noisy housecleaning who dedicate more time to phone conversations rather than to cleaning. Especially bathrooms. Not pet friendly Breakfast was slightly better before (coming here for 4 years)

Review 34:Friendly staff Nice stylish decore Very good breakfast Comfortable beds with good lining Lovely music in lobby Good location

Review 35:5 nights and the sheets were not changed once. I expect at least to be asked. The bathroom was not up to the size and standard of the bedroom

Review 36:All the staff were very friendly and helpful The bedroom was good and the decor of the hotel was excelent

Review 37:The hotel is not in a neighborhood of restuarants for dinner. The closest are in German Colony which is a walk down (up coming home

Review 38:We have stayed at a few of the Atlas hotels in Tel Aviv and this one met all of the Atlas standards of cleanliness and comfort. The staff was friemdly and helpful. Breakfast was abundant. There is also a huge happy hour for several hours every evening ... Quite a treat.

Review 39:a small amount of pressure at breakfast time due to full occupancy in the hotel and limited space in the dining area. There was, however, every effort being made by an extremely helpful staff to satisfy everybody.

Review 40:The property is really well mamaged, great welcome, efficient check-in, beautiful interiors...and the dekightful 'Happy Hour'...marvellous idea and returns considerable value to the traveller.

Review 41:My room with terrace was so tiny I couldn't find any room for my luggage. Bathroom had no room for toiletries.. A perfect description would be form over substance.

Review 42:The hotel itself was beautiful.

Review 43:We had to add 18% VAT upon check out, this was less obvious when we checked in.

Review 44:Happy hour in the afternoon and short sessions of free message therapy made our stay even more comfortable.

Review 45:Located toward bottom of hill, but relatively short walk to German Colony and Bahai Shrine (visit shrine in A.M. and take cab to garden tour at top of hill), evening happy hour would benefit from a little more food

Review 46:Helpful staff, very nice room, comfortable bed, nice shower, spacious balcony

Review 47:We ordered omelettes the first day with no problem, then the next two dsys.we were told they couldn't do them because other guests might want them as well. This came from the GM

Review 48:Nothimg

Review 49:The location is 15 minutes walk from tourist attractions. While close to the public transportation is does not run the Shabbat.

Review 50:Superb breakfast and delicious evening complimentary food and wine.

Review 51:Have to go down and up a flight of stairs to enter hotel!! Did it with 3 suitcases with staff watching me!! Don't think about staying there if you don't want the exercise! Not a terrible hotel but definitely overrated.

Review 52:Nice view from upper terraces and interesting decor even if rooms are small.

Review 53:Parking was a little difficult, but the staff helped us out.

Review 54:The staff was friendly and helpful. the free food and wine at night was nice. Breakfast was very good. Room was great. A++

Review 55:room was so tiny, and also cold (in january winter time). have seen better rooms and breakfast for less money.

Review 56:very nice style in all the hotel! happy hour and massage. friendly staff

Review 57:AC in room was not always working as it should have. Room was somewhat small vs pictures.

Review 58:Nice interior in room and public areas. Looks well maintained and attention is given to the details.

Review 59:No complaints.

Review 60:This is an elegant hotel in the heart of Haifa. It was a pleasure just to sit in the beautifully renovated historic building. The staff is pleasant and the breakfast quite nice. It's a wonderful addition to Haifa.

Review 61:The lack of hotel parking was a minus. We found parking on the street only because we were there on Friday night. We had some difficulty getting on the Internet with our IPad.

Review 62:Staff was very helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Food was plentiful and delicious. Location was convenient.

Review 63:More clarity from some staff in using public and taxi transportation.

Review 64:Room with great view and balcony. Great afternoon cocktails and snacks. Access to all newspapers. Outstanding staff for the most part.

Review 65:A little far from the center; No restaurant nearby; no food room service.

Review 66:The premises of the hotel, a very nice building. The kindness of the staff. The free very good massage during the happy hour offered. The breakfast veranda.

Review 67:No Happy Hour on Saturday. This was not really mentioned on the website and the children having tried the one at the Melody were disappointed Otherwise great :-))

Review 68:Rooms very comfortable Excellent Breakfast Nicely transformed old Arab House Near metro to the top of Mount Carmel (Louis Promenade/Bahai Gardens Tour)

Review 69:Location was ok, however, not in the center of things.Although we did not have a problem with parking, I could see where it might be limited during busy times.

Review 70:The ambiance, decor , happy hour, complimentary breakfast, lounge area and rooms were all wonderful. Elegant atmosphere in the room. Beds were comfortable and washrooms clean.I would definitely stay at this chain throughout Israel...next time.

Review 71:Didn't like the idea of two beds to make one bed set but I am guessing there is no way to get a queen size bed up the floors.

Review 72:The breakfast area was great. The room was great, especially the bathroom.

Review 73:The location limits you to using a vehicle at night or not venturing out at all.

Review 74:We decided totreat ourselves to a second visit and were not diappointed at all. In fact , we continue to be pleased with every aspect of this hotel.

Review 75:Only that we had to leave!

Review 76:The grace and beauty of the building and its surrounding landscaped courtyards...The beautiful setting for the breakfasts and evening social hours...the iced water and orange juice to greet us at the front desk, the marvelous and accommodating staff... From reception to servers to housekeeping. Bravo.

Review 77:Not that I am complaining, but the hotel should think about a ramp for those who may struggle with stairs at the entrance.

Review 78:Although the hotel is located as thr locals would describe it, dodgy area of Haifs, the hotel serves good breakfast, excellent clean rooms are nicely decorated wirth very comfortable beds. Staff is super kind and helpful.
