Reviews for Bajaloglia Resort

Review 1:Wouldn't want to visit without a car as high up on hillside.

Review 2:Lovely grounds with secluded seating areas. Lovely pool. Room balcony. All with fabulous views of the sea, Castelsardo and open countryside. Very restful place to visit.

Review 3:But the house is really small. The bed is fine but all togeather I had a feeling that it's a bit overestimated place. There is no feeling of boutique hotel. Interior is ordinary and we got much better rooms for way lower price during our trip. And the food in the restaurant was not the best, specially "local fish" which was dry.

Review 4:The view from the restaurant is really cool. All the town of Castelsardo is well seen. There is also a pool. And you can live in a separate small house with a terrace and a see view.

Review 5:I didn't like leaving hotel, would prefer to stay few more days. Check-out was quite early - 10:00.

Review 6:Everything - view, hotel, restaurant, staff! All was excellent!

Review 7:Restaurant is expensive for the quality of the food, due to location have to drive to visit any others.

Review 8:The resort is great very relaxing and we were well looked after the staff are very attentive, pool and grounds are immaculate

Review 9:Bed was very stiff

Review 10:Amazing view, especially in sea-view room. The room is very comfortable, hotel seems to be recently renovated. Outside area is amazing as well.

Review 11:Location of hotel ideal, away from crowds and with brilliant views of Castelsardo. Staff and owners exceptionally friendly and efficient. Hotel rooms and lobby stylish, modern and clean. Restaurant excellent, again with views of town.

Review 12:Very expensive restaurant. Hard bed. In room tea / coffee maker but at extra charge despite high room price.

Review 13:Luxurious room with marvellous view of Castelsardo.

Review 14:We were unlucky with The Chef's special fish menu in the restaurant. No fresh fish and lack of taste. Probably the chef had a day off?

Review 15:The rooms are located in small houses throughout the garden. Quiet and you can park your car in front of your room. From our balcony, as well as from the pool and the restaurant you have beautiful views on the sea, the hills and Castelsardo. Rooms are fresh and modern, the pool area is just great.

Review 16:My friend is a tea addict and there was no kettle in the room :-)

Review 17:First time in Sardinia and I'm so happy I chose this hotel . Gorgeous views, pool is small but beautiful and clean, the staff are just amazing. I will definitely consider coming back . A car is essential. We went in October (low season), so it was very quiet which suited us perfectly as we wanted some quiet time. Did I mention the views were amazing. Good food , a bit on the pricey side but it was worth it.

Review 18:A fitness would be nice ( especially with the food & wine .... )

Review 19:Friendly staff, warm host, good wines ( thanks for the tips ), good food, magnificent view and location, all we could have wished for!

Review 20:Wi-Fi in the room slowly.

Review 21:All the best!!! The place very beautiful!!! The rooms very clean. Staff high level. Seafood very excellent!!! The traditional wine Bajaloglia sensational!!! Entry gratituide great family, Hotelier Gianny and Tina behind hospitality and goodness!!! Thank you for all !!!!

Review 22:The bed was way too hard, but the owner (who was very nice) told me he was working on it. I would absolutely go back anyway. The place was great.

Review 23:The location was amazing, the views were among the best I have seen. The restaurant was great, and the grounds were lovely.

Review 24:No wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby and restaurant area. The road leading up to the resort, which is perched high up, was very potholed and rough - could do with some attention The reception staff (owners??) we're not easily recognisable; the waitresses (all of whom were excellent -1 of whom spoke English with an amazing English accent without ever staying in the UK; wish I could remember her name- she was very young with long blond hair) all wore uniforms but on arrival it took a while to work out that the guy in jeans and tshirt was the receptionist. Not a big issue, but it didn't look that professional on arrival.

Review 25:The setting was lovely overlooking Castledaro. The rooms (the were more like bungalows) were of a very high standard with good quality products. The food was excellent, albeit a bit pricey, served in lovely surroundings with an excellent view over the sea, town and glorious sunsets. There were also lovely "tents" - they were like Bedouin tents, which were dotted around the resort, with cushions to relax and read or just chill - lovely! What we did see, but is not in any brochure or even on the their website, we 2/3 amazingly decorated and equipped self-catering bungalows for rent (4-6 people). Expensive but for 4 people sharing not so bad - like something out of Vogue. Overall a lovely place to stay but a bit pricey!

Review 26:Having to leave!

Review 27:The views cannot be beaten from both the room, patio, restaurant The hotel and town were not crowded (early July) and it did not feel too touristy The rooms were immaculate and beds very comfortable Service was great Restaurant served good food in a relaxed environment

Review 28:Difficult to get around without a car as the hotel is quite cut off, but the staff helped us hire one and it was perfect!

Review 29:The staff are absolutely wonderful, so helpful and kind! The place is completely stunning! The pool and gardens are the nicest of anywhere we have been.

Review 30:The whole experience was good. Very lovely family run place with fantastic staff in wonderful surroundings.

Review 31:Small bed for a double.

Review 32:I recommend to pay a little extra for the sea view junior suite - very nice!

Review 33:Shower not that hot, poor design resulted in wet bathroom floor.

Review 34:Views and quiet location. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 35:The breakfast too poor

Review 36:The view, the restaurant

Review 37:restaurant closed and too far to walk to town for food road into property very very steep

Review 38:Relaxing and quiet

Review 39:Beautiful view!, rooms!

Review 40:Beautiful panorama, very comfortable bed in the room, nice terrace, perfect dinner in the restaurant, nice pool

Review 41:Chéck out timing is too early.

Review 42:The amazing view with nice room. And early morning we saw wild pig from our terrace.

Review 43:The view...panoramic

Review 44:I couldn't fault this hotel! Amazing views, lovely pool, spacious room , and friendly helpful staff,we can't wait to return ,great for a relaxing peaceful break.

Review 45:breakfast could have more choices, but in general it was very fair for 4 stars in Sardegna.

Review 46:We stayed in 3 different hotels during our vacation, Bajaloglia was the best one. location is a little bit far away from the beach, but it compensates with fabulous view from balcony. and the air is so fresh....... You should visit Excalibur family restaurant 2 km from the hotel (ask for calamari fritti with salad)

Review 47:We paid 25 euro more each night for a superior room, which I didn't experience any difference compared with standard room

Review 48:The view from the room is great!

Review 49:possibly needs more soundproofing between rooms. We were fortunate to have quiet neighbours- but could be a problem.

Review 50:location, very peaceful setting. Grounds are still being developed but established ones are tastefully landscaped.

Review 51:We were travelling with an infant, it's not really set up for it. The staff was very helpful, but still it's more of a couples place, older couples.

Review 52:clean, beautiful view, very quiet, nice pool and very pretty grounds. The staff were super nice and helpful.

Review 53:The hotel was really beautiful. Excellent design and very comfortable. Views from the room were incredible (we have Castelsardo village in front of us)

Review 54:There is absolutely nothing that we did not like about the Bajaloglia Resort.

Review 55:Luxiourious stay, beautiful setting, excellent and friendly staff, quite and relaxing retreat. The most impressive pool I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying; super clean, comfortable chairs, breathtaking view and excellent service.

Review 56:This is no 4 star hotel. Everything was 1-2 star. We just wasted 3 nights and lots of money The staff was unconcerned. No ambiance. Music blasted at the pool. Dirty. Bad breakfast. Our last night they did a disco night for locals and blared music past 1 am that pierced the walls of our room. Despite our polite requests, nothing was done. Don't go there unless you want a bad experience. I am baffled how anyone could feel differently.

Review 57:Nothing, but it has a good view of Castlesardo

Review 58:the air-conditioning unit did not work properly as there are 2 rooms feeding from one unit

Review 59:the service and the food were an excellent standard. the rooms were a good size with plenty of space and the view from the balcony was spectacular!

Review 60:We spent a night there on the way to Porto Cervo. We had outstanding country and sea views. The hotel rooms were chalets, some 50 metres from the main block but very well furnished and maintained. Dinner and wine were excellent and reasonably priced. Car parking easy.

Review 61:There was a wedding on one of the afternnons, that produced a lot of noise. The guests using the pool were next to the wedding inviteds....

Review 62:great location, fantastic views

Review 63:Best hotel we stayed at during our round trip through Sardinia! Great amenities in the room, wonderful view, nice pool with access to free wi-fi. Definitely worth the stars/money.

Review 64:Even though I’ve read all the reviews we was completely taken bysurprise. Wonderful resort at the top of the hill with a magnificentview over Castelsardo and the Mediterranean Sea (Corsica next). This isa complete Design Hotel - very clean everywhere and wonderful towels(also for the swimmingpool). I wish we’ve stayed here longer and if I goback to Sardegna I’ll definitively stay here. Very good restaurant andgreat breakfast.

Review 65:If you order food in your room they will charge an extra service charge. This was not told before so make sure you clarify it before hand.

Review 66:The staff was really friendly and I would say one of the best child friendly hotel I have seen. My whole family is vegetarian and the hotel made an effort to serve the vegetarian food by cooking new dishes out of the menu. Definitely recommend.

Review 67:The spa-shower didn't work in the room. Prices for dinner were too expensive, we got better quality and better food in resteraunts in castelsardo and arround

Review 68:Staff in the morning was excellent, staff in the evening was ok. View was very good, you could see Castelsardo and the sea out of the balcony Everything was clean and facilities where very good.

Review 69:We loved everything including the restaurant.

Review 70:The magnificent setting with splendid views of the sea and the countryside. The design of the hotel with a modern tasteful style. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Review 71:It is not possible to walk to the city unless you take the high way. Whynot make a path through the fields, down the muntain on the other side?Castelsardo is overlooked in a couple of hours; not much to do unlessyou take the car. We left after one night.

Review 72:Situated on the top of a rock with a great view. Room was very wellequipped (had a nice comfy blanket!) with spa, large balcony etc.Could have used an electric kettle for tea making and WiFi in theroom, though.

Review 73:The restaurant. It is way over priced - the staff is not to the creditof the place. The breakfast table was abismal - most of it came out of aplastic container. This place should not be called a Resort.

Review 74:Yes - they have a super location with a fantastic view.Stay there - enjoy the view - but dont use the restaurant. The staff in reception was very helpfull.

Review 75:The coffee needs improvement.

Review 76:The quiet location with wonderful views and garden setting.

Review 77:Ilike everything in all nature wether so nice the view awesome

Review 78:Beds are very hard. This doesn't match with the level of the other facilities.

Review 79:Excellent location and view on the old city of Castelsardo!

Review 80:No WIFI in the room.

Review 81:We had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

Review 82:unsufficient internet connection at the room

Review 83:breakfast, dinner view from the room, hotel parking staff choise of wine wifi on reception hall

Review 84:Beds were a little uncomfortable and restaurant is on the expensive side

Review 85:Great pool area Great breakfast

Review 86:Just a lovely friendly relaxing place, top qulaity, great food, great rooms, great staff.

Review 87:The hot vegetables at breakfast.

Review 88:The view over Castelsardo, the chalet style rooms and the lovely little lounge areas dotted around the grounds.

Review 89:Great view of the sea and the surroundings! Rooms where excellent.

Review 90:The place is amazing , and staff very profesional and friendly.....

Review 91:It didn't give us that feeling of "welcome"and "warmth"

Review 92:The view from our room was just amazing
