Review 1：The rooms are a little small. The indoor dining area is an informal cafeteria style (but big with lots of seating).There was an impressive formal dining area 30 years ago which I liked better.

Review 2：The location is the best, right next to the boardwalk by the sea. Formal and friendly at the same time. The layout too is great, in the shape of a square with an outdoor garden in the middle with two accesses to the boardwalk. Plenty of tables and seating in the outdoor garden where you can enjoy a meal or a drink, just relax or enjoy the music and dance when there is an orchestra. Very quiet rooms. Was there 30 years ago and was impressed. Still impressed today.

Review 3：Rooms are not for 4 star hotel- bathroom needs small renovation, kettle was broken, slips of paper under the beds. Other negative stuffs are related to a place, not hotel; beach was very crowded in September, no shade at all till 4 o´clock and than sun comes down and became pretty cold. So no healthy sunbathing after 5 pm

Review 4：Location, 50 m from sea, very clear water unlike other places on Opatija´s riviera. Hotel staff always ready to help. Food in buffet breakfast and dinner - everything you can imagine in big quantities. A lots of playgrounds for kids.

Review 15：- Refurbished hotel from 1960s, which requires more attention to details: one of three saunas was out-of-order, one of two sauna showers was out-of-order, the other one was not working properly, broken showers in the pool etc - Beach is totally overcrowded - Restaurant's exeperience was so-so: - salads were tastless, - icecreams were "frozen water" (as even my kids said), - half of the time beer was not drinkable, - white house wine was not cooled; but on the possitive side french fries, fried/grilled fishes, sometimes risotto, and creams-deserts often saved the situation

Review 27：When we checked in the rooms toilet was very dirty and it wasn't cleaned at all. When we went to outside bar to order hot dogs and hamburger, waiter was on the mobile phone and for over 15 minutes didn't come to take an order. I order seasonal salad which was on the menu, waiter said we can't bring you because we don't have that, I ask them why is on the menu, answer was it is not up to me... In the bar waitress didn't know how to make Cosmopolitan cocktail. It seems like they have major problem with customer service.

We were a little apprehensive when we saw the outside at first but inside is what counts. The staff was wonderful, our rooms were great, loved the balcony option and the indoor pool was very nice. It took my kids a couple swims to get used to the salt water but it was nice. The beach is nice. There are a few places to eat on the beach side. Definitely worth the breakfast and dinner and we were out exploring at lunch

Review 88：First I received a "Classic" family room, though booked a "Premium" one. The same price, but not the same size! After claiming we were offered a Premium room with sea view. It was quite noisy during the night. The air conditioning smelled rather whiffy. The swimming pool was closed for a whole day as they changed the water. I miss the option to book room with half-board during the peak season.

Review 96：the animators has no any real activity for kids between 6-12. the activities are not avaible if the animators are off, if they are on you rarely see them. smoking is allowed nearly everywhere (there are smoking free places but nobody cares if it is broken) nobody cares about the kids. the english speaking is less than poor, but the german was perfect. the wellness is so rarely used, there takes an hour to make it ready.

Review 115：The investments for the refurbishment apparently dried up before they could handle the outside building and indoor salt water pool. Both are right from the 70's. This hotel lacks an outdoor pool, allthough it has a 2 meter wide outdoor baby bath. The drinks included in the all inclusive light are a disaster. Wine is poor quality as are the soft drinks. Only the beer is acceptable. The wellness is ok, not great. The fitness is disappointing. Only 4 excerises.

Review 116：Hotel Marina is refurbished to a standard 4 star hotel. It is not as nice as a 4-star Falkensteiner or Valamar resort would be, but my experience learns these are not worth double the money. The location is great, located in a small village on the beach. Connecting family rooms are good and quit large. Bathroom is very small. Food is good quality with local specialities and a lot of variety. A 5-star resort provides better quality, but again, price is than often double. => Excellent relaxed family holiday.

Nice location by the beech and with the green mountain forest just behind; wide and varied buffe-menu with everything from soup to vegetables, pasta to fish & steakes and ice-cream cakes and fruit, moistured with vines, beer & sodas for each and every taste.
