Reviews for Janus Hotel

Review 1:We decided to stay one night in Janus Hotel. Room was very nice, staff on the reception was very helpfull. Price was quiet hight but was middle of summer. Definetly I will be back in this place.

Review 2:Our first room on the ground floor was noisy and rather smelly. The swimming pool is in their sister hotel which is only a 2 minute stroll but most of the sun-loungers were reserved for spa users which seems a bit unfair to hotel guests. The free basement garage was convenient but fills quickly.

Review 3:The rooms are good size, modern and simple. The reception and breakfast staff were very nice and helpful. After the first night they kindly moved us to another room on the first floor which had a balcony with a sea, harbour and castle view. The breakfast buffet was very good, on the top floor with magnificent views. At midnight they specially opened the top floor so that we (particularly our young child) could watch the fireworks.

Review 4:- advertised as having a spa, with sauna etc. This was located at another hotel nearby and cost a minimum of 17EURO and hour - Pool was also at a different hotel - sea view balconies on the main road into town so very noisy. - for the price was a big letdown

Review 5:- nice communal areas, hallways etc - continental breakfast was ok - very helpful and friendly staff - good distance from town and beach

Review 6:The hotel did not inform us about the possibility of using the swimming pool at Riviera hotel, 50 meters down the street.

Review 7:Very helpful and smiling staff, and perfect location close to the beach.

Review 8:Nobody told us where is swimming pool.

Review 9:Very comfy. Good breakfast.

Review 10:There was extra charge for bath towels used in the swimming pool.

Review 11:The location and staff friendliness.

Review 12:poor room lighting

Review 13:location, parking and breakfast room view

Review 14:Week WIFI in the room, good in the reception area.

Review 15:Well situated and close to the small beach, bars and restaurants. Fantastic view from the breakfast room.

Review 16:AC did not work and front desk wouldn't deal with it. We had a balcony but it faced the street and it was very noisy so opening the door while sleeping was not an option. Although on booking.com it said they accepted American Express the front desk clerk obstinately refused to even try it

Review 17:Could walk into the town and it had parking in basement garage with elevator directly to rooms

Review 18:There is a bit of noise from the street, but we never felt bothered about that. It is true than we speak a bit of Italian - I really don't know if the staff could be fluent in other languages.

Review 19:We loved that the hotel is new and really nice for a hotel in Italy. The room was more than spacious, including the balcony and the bathroom and everything was extremely clean. The price was just right for the mid of August in Sardegna. We found absolutely everything just 50 metres from the hotel: supermarket, icecream, great restaurants, amazing coffee, pharmacy and parking space when the hotel's parking was full. The AC worked really fine and the breakfast was ok.

Review 20:It was compact ideal for travelling to local beauty spots.friendly staff. Very clean, Being able to enjoy the services of the Riveira.(Bar Restaurant etc.

Review 21:Be carefull when you have a big car and want to park in or leave the garage...It is small. But free parking outside is also possible (on white-lined parking places, only 50m from hotel).

Review 22:Easy to find and in the centre of the village (supermarket next door, a lot of good restaurants and shops within 300m). Recently renovated, big room, big bed, room cleaned every day. We had a (silent!) room on backside of hotel (first floor, no 146) with a well equiped bathroom (shower is ok but could have been 10cm bigger). No view from the room but for us no problem: we knew that before and we were the whole day outside. If you prefer nice view and a balkony to relax in morning/evening, book a room at the frontside (but also more noisy because of the road). Enough to choose for breakfast, friendly waitress (ask her for a coffee: different choices and espresso is perfect!), excellent view over the sea: all together every day a good start and perfect hotel to relax and sleep.

Review 23:One of the receptionists did not speak English at all, so take your dictionary with you...

Review 24:We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The hotel is new and furnished in modern style. We chose room without a sea view, which was dark, but it was our choice. The towels were changed daily; the bed sheets were changed after 3 nights. First three days we had breakfast in the nearby hotel Riviera where they served typical Italian breakfast, after that we had finally breakfast in hotel Janus, where they served continental breakfast on the 4 th floor. We parked our car in the garage, but we were lucky we had a parking spot there. The truth is, that you have to be skilled driver to get out of the garage :-) We chose Castelsardo because of its location; we made trips along the north shore and enjoyed Sardinia a lot. I would recommend this hotel.

Review 25:the staff tried to help but no one spoke English and our Italian is limited -also the Hotel needs to have Hotel signs facing the road -- drove by the hotel 3 times before a local pointed us to the hotel 50 feet away !! you need very accurate driving directions for the town and hotel

Review 26:the hotel and rooms are brand new , nice decks for each room , good parking , beautiful town

Review 27:belongs to Hotel Riviera nearby, which i would prefere next time

Review 28:direct at city beach located breakfast beautiful town

Review 29:Magnificent sunset view from the balcony.

Review 30:The hotel being run by another hotel(Riviera); leaving incompetant staff who don't speak a word of English..

Review 31:The hotel is new

Review 32:intermittent WIFI connexion, sea view hotel, but noisy street . poor breakfast for a 4 stars Hotel tiny garage

Review 33:Poor service had to go out for breakfast. No staff. Kotel run byadjcent hotel
