Reviews for Lemon Tree Hotel, Aurangabad

Review 1:The Coffee shop staff and Manager needed to provide improved service, which happened once I talked to the Hotel management.

Review 2:The staff worked hard, once I talked to the Management to improve their service

Review 3:Fell short of what one would expect from a four star property. Maybe it was due to heavy occupancy on year end holidays, but service timeliness was not up to the mark. It took us 30 minutes to do check in on arrival, and an hour and half to get dinner served via room service (after 4 reminders)! Hygiene and ambience just about okay. Overall a bit disappointing.

Review 4:Location quite close to the airport was the only positive point. Decent breakfast but else nothing exceptional to mention.

Review 5:Do not believe there is free wifi, one hour a day is it! Bed marginally comfortable and 50-100% mark up for transportation and sightseeing activities.

Review 6:the gym and pool at center of facilities

Review 7:DInner was included in the cost but drinks with dinner were expensive. The staff would make a point of telling you their names so you would name them on your feedback forms - that was a bit annoying. There was no information available in English on the Ellora and Ajanta caves and internet was restricted to just 1 hour per day - very annoying!

Review 8:The hotel layout with the gardens in the centre of the complex made it peaceful and the views out of all bedroom windows would be good. The situation was great, just a shirt drive from the airport. The chef at dinner would cook you a fresh dish to your requirements. The bar had a free snooker table and sociable atmosphere.

Review 9:Booking .com was bad to have not included B/F in the scheme making the trip very expensive.Would have worked out cheaper if we had booked directly with Hotel. May be it was our fault to have not done the spade work correctly..

Review 10:The staff were friendly were always there to help. The site seeing became easy for us with guidance from customer welfare officer Ms Nikita who really understood our age and comfort level to see the caves in unfriendly summer temperatures.

Review 11:We didnt like the strict chek in timings when rooms were empty and it didnt co incide wth flight timings. In such a hotel pepl wud mostly fly in. So tht timing ahud b considered

Review 12:We liked the stay very much. We would love to b accomodated again

Review 13:Whats not to like? Excellent value and top service, you dont need to go to a marqued hotel to find it,

Review 14:No its not the most modern hotel but the food is spot on, the staff were really good to us and the service was excellent, Top marks for making me feel right at home

Review 15:For wi fi it should be free for 24 hours, not for one hour.

Review 16:This is 100% satisfaction with location, comfort, bed, room, bathroom, service, restaurant, breakfast, etc. For India it is real 5*!

Review 17:Slow service at poolside, reception and from housekeeping Problems with printer in business centre Leak from bath onto bathroom floor Citrus (lemon, etc.) theme overbearing

Review 18:Dinner buffet Efficient arrangement of transport for trips to Ajanta and Ellora caves Ornamental towel skills!

Review 19:Pool is not great and was not so clean Buffet is poor The hotel could be renovated

Review 20:It is clean, quiet, rooms are large. The large court with the pool and a terrace to have a drink is nice

Review 21:Restaurant lacks ambience. We soon tired of all the jokes and "witty sayings" which were displayed on all the walls and even on the table settings. The location is in a rather non-descript part of town, but handy for the airport.

Review 22:Great pool-beautiful and quite clean. Staff all really helpful. Good choicese in the generous breakfast and dinner buffet. Nicely decorated and furnished room, well provided with all requirements. Very attractive pool and garden setting. Free airport pickup. Good free Internet available at all times in the business centre.

Review 23:There a lot of hidden fees. For such a steep service charge (not tax, but a service charge), you would expect decent service. While the management was wonderful, most of the hotel staff - especially in the restaurant - are lazy and slow. Be careful with your bill.

Review 24:It's a decent hotel given the location

Review 25:Unfortunately staying on the third floor was a dismal experience. My room (319) was very noisy all nite and early in the morning. In the evening it was the sound of the boiler and early in the morning it was reckless and noisy parents with children that awoke me early. Also I think that your room are rather out dated and need refurbishing, with this I also found hair in the sink of the bed room and also in my bed. Overall disgusting and disappointing.

Review 26:I like the location of this hotel in relation to my work.

Review 27:Value for Money, Buffet with lots of variety and different foods all 4 nights, Accommodations for drivers, Interesting jokes and sayings posted on the walls, welcoming pool and outdoor seating, availability of spa services

Review 28:You need to walk long distances in corridors to get to your room and the whole hotel looks a bit outdated.

Review 29:The location is quite central, the rooms are reasonably sized, reception is friendly.

Review 30:Pool was under renovation that was not informed me at the time of booking.

Review 31:One of the best feature of this hotel is the large pool. It must have been relaxing if it worked.

Review 32:Staff very welcoming. Best location to visit Ellora caves, Bibi Ka Maqbara and other attractions at Aurangabad. Not too far to travel to Ajanta caves also, but about 2 hr drive (normal for India roads). Packed lunch is available for the drive at a reasonable price. Clean room and nice bar with pool table and music.

Review 33:Refreshing change and comfortable hotel with very good service from staff in the restaurant. An ideal place to relax after visiting the caves.

Review 34:Nothing

Review 53:None

Review 54:The ambience was very refreshing.food amazing.

Review 56:Location OK

Review 57:Price

Review 58:Comfort, Nice environment.

Review 59:Everything especially staff needsto be more polite and professional They charge a service charge on the room rent but none is provided

Review 60:Friendly Staff, Good Food

Review 61:- wifi not working - food not very good and restaurant not welcoming

Review 62:- clean - good bed - staff friendly

Review 63:1 hr free internet - this should be complimentary for 24 hrs.

Review 64:Oasis of calm after the bedlam of Aurangabad traffic.

Review 65:Business Centre computers & Printers were not working.

Review 66:Staff

Review 67:Insecticide spray in morning was too strong & we could smell all day & the next day

Review 68:clean hotel with good service & good food

Review 69:SWIMMING POOL WAS NOT OPERATIONAL

Review 70:ALMOST NOTHING

Review 71:GOOD HOTEL, THE BUFFET IS GOOD.

Review 72:Some Dishes with Gobi were not so good

Review 73:Freindly people .good ambience.good breakfast.

Review 74:For some reason there are a lot of extra taxes added on the bill for the hotel and the restaurant. Wi-fi was poor.

Review 75:The pool was decent but needed a little work and cleaning.

Review 76:Some of the staff didn't speak English, but were pretending they were. We complained about a broken air con and the reception guy said "yes Sir" all the time, but didn't understand a word. I waited 40 minutes in vain for somebody to come and fix it. The same happened in the restaurant. A waiter didn't have a clue what the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich on the menu was and brought me a sandwich with a slice of cheese instead!

Review 77:The Asian food is outstanding.

Review 78:The hotel is located on the eastside of town which is opposite the Ellura and Ajanta Caves. Traffic was very congested crossing town to the hotel each day.

Review 79:The hotel was an oasis. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the grounds. The food was good in both restaurants. Extensive breakfast buffet which was included in our room fee. Spa was nice and staff friendly.

Review 80:Not much to complain about. Would have been nice if free wi-fi was always available and not just for 30 minutes. But you can pay for continuous access and there are computer facilities on-site as well so not really a big deal.

Review 81:Staff were excellent. They were very attentive when we had questions. They took care of our car bookings, airport transfers, and other travel needs. The overall hotel facilities were also excellent. We were upgraded to an executive suite which was very comfortable. The pool area and gym were clean and well maintained. We had breakfast at the restaurant but not dinner so I can't comment much about the food. But we had not real complaints about what we had. I would say the hotel caters well to business travelers and tourists looking for a resort experience.

Review 82:The quality of food served at the buffet was terrible.. the chicken had only bones in it and the go fish curry was water and nowhere near the goa fish curry. the lasagna was terrible. the mutton was ok, but needed improvement, atleast the mutton was cooked well.. next morning I ordered in room dining and did not go to buffet even though buffet was included.. the cheese mlet was one of the worst I have eaten.. no.. will not stay here again..

Review 83:nothing really

Review 84:Breakfast service slow. At least 5 minutes to get coffee and over 5 minutes to refill cold milk jug for cereal, both after asking waiter. This is a frequent problem here - the staff do need a wake-up in the mornings.

Review 85:Attentive welcome, good food, clean and comfortable room. Good pool. "No tips" policy saves embarrassment for visitors. Best hotel in the area.

Review 86:We stayed for two nights. We were not given the room we had booked. I called reception and asked for this to be changed. I was told someone would come with new ketys in 5 minutes. No one came. It took two hours for them to come after calling 3 times. Our evening was wasted! I also asked reception to call a travel company we wanted to do a day tour with and we wanted them to collect us from our hotel. The receptionist told us that the places wasn't open until 9:30am. We then got a rickshaw to the travel company who are open 24 hours! The reception at the hotel had lied to us in attempt to persuade us to use their over-priced cars.

Review 87:The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Review 88:Swimming pool water was very cold. The bar inside the hotel was noisy and cold (would recommend that they set up a bar outside by the pool as that is the nicest location for drinks) The hotel is next to a very busy noisy road junction.

Review 89:Our room overlooked the open air pool which was a calm oasis in the middle of the hotel. The hotel is a good base for trips to caves temples at Ellora and Ajanta..really worth a visit. The management were very helpful, they arranged for me to see a doctor when i was ill.

Review 90:A bit expensive for Indian standards.

Review 91:The swimming pool is awesome, large (some 25mt long for a good crawl practice in the mornings), a simple, but nice gym overlooking the pool. Excellent restaurant with some of the best salads I have tried in India, great Indian and international dishes. Abundant and free breakfast. The spa is also great, the masseurs are skilled. They don't speak much English, but they give good and relaxing massages, that are so badly needed after a day's trek.

Review 92:The hotel is near to airport 20 min drive. Rooms are nice, beautiful pool side restaurant. The food quality is good. The spa is not advisable as they are not having trained staff. Staff are cordial but need training as they are lacking the warmth. Nice hotel if you are in Aurangabad. We enjoyed. Kailash Sonabhadra

Review 93:Service in the restaurant was really slow. A 10% service charge was added to everything, so if you booked tours to the caves (the only reason for coming here) through the hotel (as we did), the total bill is quite a surprise.

Review 94:Uses a modern-art Spanish theme combined with a few Indian touches. Lemon scents in the corridors and the jokes posted on the walls (and the place mats in the restaurant) are fun. Spacious rooms. The highlight is the large pool around which the hotel is built. Truly sorry that we were not able to make more use of it.

Review 95:Taxes levied by the Indian government. Luxury tax on room?? the room and facilities are AVERAGE. Come to Dubai and see what is the meaning of 4 star or 5 star. There is also a service tax on the room as well as a service tax on any service you order through the hotel including car hire to the caves and internet use. However on top of these there is a mysterious "Service charge on packages" - we had no idea what this meant and neither did the hotel manager. First he said this was tips for staff (there is apparently small print somewhere saying don't tip staff) then he changes his mind to say this was a government tax.

Review 96:Staff were polite and helpful. Rooms are clean. Good point from which to travel to the caves.

Review 97:I wrote an email asking about the sight-seeing facilities and car-hiring. I received the answer one day later than I arrived in the hotel. Response time was too long to help me.

Review 98:Clean, quiet, relaxing atmosphere both in the room and in the garden, open buffet breakfast with variety of food including good cheese, spacious room.

Review 99:The time was only too short (arrived at 11 P.M. and left at 8:30 A.mnext day morning) and hence I could not examine with utmost care. Therefore I am not able to comment.

Review 100:No serious dislikes. I suppose someone hoping for a more"historic" ambiance coulc be disappointed. Perhaps incorrectlyI had the impression the hotel is favored by business people on longishstays-we selected it because of its' a lonely Planet recommendationand were not disappointed. The reason we came at all to Aurangabad (andwhich does not figure in your list of reasons above) was our desire tovisit Ellora and Ajanta.

Review 101:Proximity to airport. Modern, clean appearance. Good food.

Review 102:Telephone not reachable, no on booking.com not correct and phone numberfrom own website gave "busy tone" for the whole day. Bed for driver wasarranged but in the end not available, they gave him a blanket and heslept in the car, also the toilets in the driverlodge are not clean.Checking in took us more than 1 hour, dont forget your residentialpermit (if you have one) we only had a soft copy. First they gave us smoking-rooms, after asking they organised non-smoking rooms for us. In the enda nice stay but a bit pricey for the quality you get, (tax not includedin the price)

Review 103:Ontbijt zwembad poolside restaurant erg goed zelfs

Review 116:roads were terrible so was the traffic

Review 117:relaxed friendly ambiance

Review 118:hotel is very neet and clean and near to airport only 5 min run by car.staff is friendly .nice swimming pool.
