Reviews for Tullamore Court Hotel

Review 1:Staff seemed a little disinterested. 3 there at check in but felt a little ignored. Same at the bar seemed like I was a bit of an inconvenience. Room was very cold but was a child night

Review 2:Hotel was nicely located for my trip. For was nice and waitress was very attentive

Review 3:Be careful booking a family room, as our room #138 was very noisy (music was playing in the bar downstairs) which was a major issue as we were travelling with 3 young children. Also we had the impression (from the hotel website) that we had booked 2 interconnecting rooms but when we got there it was one room with a double 2 singles and a cot.

Review 4:Staff are very good. Hotel facilities are good with a great pool which the kids loved.

Review 5:there was a slight mix up with my booking,,, I never print out my confirmation but once I checked on line they double checked and it was no problem,,,, I guess caveat emptor,,,, I should really print out my confirmation

Review 6:This is a lovely hotel,,, seems to be part of the fabric of the town,,, lots of activity,,, also staff are welcoming and professional,,,, I was allocated a huge room,,,, it was like a suite... I had a lovely meal in the bar and the breakfast was good too,,,

Review 7:Breakfast let it down. Badly ! Very surprised as such high quality and standard everywhere else in the hotel. 1 out of 10.

Review 8:Room was fabulous. Beds were super comfortable and shower room was lovely.

Review 9:Trying to order food from downstairs be it a coffee or a breakfast and being ignored by a member of staff despite standing at the counter . A little courtesy like 'can I help you? ' wouldn't go amiss.

Review 10:Food delivered by room service was very nice . Lady at front desk was helpful and friendly . A nice hotel and a good experience overall. Would go back again .

Review 11:leisure centre lockers need to be updated

Review 12:Friendly and efficient staff, large room with bottles of water provided, good breakfast, nice leisure centre, good location

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:Everything about this hotel was perfect! Clean and comfortable Sockets next to bed - it may seem trivial but it frustrates me when I stay in hotel and only sockets are at the desk.

Review 15:Horrible horrible horrible ! great first impressions upon entering hotel ! But it was all down hill from there ! Grumpy unkempt staff at 'reception' Upon opening the door to our room we almost got sick - a disgusting smell of poo ! We opened the windows and left them open all night ( yes it was December - and yes it was freezing cold ) But better that than the odious smell of swerage. We went to bed at eleven - I could hear people in the adjoining rooms flicking switches and talking !!! Where is the soundproofing ! The talking, the flushing of toilets the banging of doors ( sounds you should not hear in an adequately soundproofed hotel ! ) continued throughout the night ! neither my companion nor I slept a wink. Very Cheaply built hotel ! I would not stay here again if I was given $500 a night to do so ! May suit guest that plan on staying up all night, partying ! But otherwise . . . Stay Well Clear. . .

Review 16:When dawn came - and we left !

Review 17:I found getting to the Hotel a little tricky as the signage is not great. Once I turned on my Google maps on my phone I found it.

Review 18:The food was excellent. I was attending a Seminar and was impressed with the conference room and particularly the iced water available all day along with the lunch served to all delegates. The room for the night before was very comfortable.

Review 19:Room service provided wrong chips and sauce. Staff could have been more welcoming and polite.

Review 20:Good location for town and getting to surroundings areas. Good pool and bar area.

Review 21:Lift button on level 2 out of order for three days and a temporary repair of tape placed over button with guests having to pull finger into live wires to call lift. Very dirty mould bathrooms with smelly sinks. Could do with a good clean, plenty of products available to get rid of mould- no excuse

Review 22:Bright friendly hotel

Review 23:did not like room location too close to lifts although that cannot always be helped as someone will be close to them .will look for different location next time.

Review 24:the staff the food and the room facilities were very good

Review 25:Wedding party very loud heading to bed banging on doors etc but that wasn't the fault of the hotel just inconsiderate guests

Review 26:Had a lovely relaxing weekend away.clean hotel lots of facilities. Staff are very friendly.

Review 27:Nothing to complain about, maybe in time bathroom upgrade but perfectly fine

Review 28:Size of room. Friendly lounge area and deep comfortable seating. Excellent breakfast.

Review 29:Reception and halls are a bit dated and grubby from wear and tear. They are updating it at the moment

Review 30:Room is newly redecorated and really lovely and comfortable. Bar food is lovely.

Review 31:On checking out, my husband and I found the receptionist who dealt with us so very abrupt in her manner, not a great quality for front of house. It must be stated that when my husband checked in, his experience was quite the opposite with very approachable reception staff.

Review 32:We were very happy with room. Really spacious and clean. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Was not happy with my main course however, the manager of the restaurant was extremely professional, in his approach to negative feedback. He automatically deducted the price of my main course from the overall bill.

Review 33:Bathroom could be updated shower in bath poor power should be separate shower

Review 34:Location suited stay hotel staff very friendly food very good would stay again

Review 35:The bathroom was extremely dirty, when we were checking out the receptionist continued with her phonecall without acknowledging our presence, found the staff lacked manners in general (reception staff). This was our second time staying here, both times were very disappointing

Review 36:Noisy heating system banging that woke me up 2 hrs earlier than wanted Also quality of breakfast poor, burnt sausages & watery scrambled egg / sorry I didn't give it s miss!

Review 37:Location

Review 38:Unpleasant condescending and unhelpful receptionist on arrival. Ended up with 3 rooms and 11 beds for 5 people. No one prepared to sort this out as "your contract is not with us" Due to amount of money paid for 1 night its a definite "Never Again"

Review 39:Very friendly and helpful bar staff. Clean and comfortable

Review 40:very disappointed with no sockets near dressing table to plug in tongs for hair room very cold to sit around that made the bed cold which was hard to get to sleep

Review 41:very friendly staff in bar and most important at reception

Review 42:This is an excellent hotel well placed and easy to find. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly and the food really excellent. most nights there is something going on in the bar and the service from the bar is spot on. Large car park at rear so no problems with parking, I have used this hotel for the past 7 years for when I am visiting family in Ireland, I would recommend it to anybody wanting a nice hotel to stop in for a few days, Tullamore is a lovely little busy town in the midlands of Ireland were you can easily spend a couple of days chilling out and seeing the sights .

Review 43:The triple rom was ok but not very big, beds were comfortable. The pool area had loads of ridiculous rules like u have to were a hat, no diving, no jumping no nothing, no children in the sauna etc... were much a Stasi feel to the pool area Deifnetly not hcild friendly at all. The gym was being rebuilt and the small part that was open was quite poor everything was old and worn.

Review 44:Shower temperature too hot .could not be regulated.Unable to have a shower in room for disabled person. No wifi available in room .

Review 45:Staff and food were very good.

Review 46:Paid 20euro for late check out were called twice by house keeping at 12 and 1 o clock. Checked out about 1.20. Complained at reception and the person dealing with me said she would pass my complaint on to house keeping and gave her apoligies. What good was that to us we were expecting to have a lie on we still had to pay for it.

Review 47:Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

Review 48:The main reason I booked this Hotel was to use the Gym,but when I got there it out of use, this should of being on there page

Review 49:Food excellent staff excellent have no probs in staying here again

Review 50:so disappointed..with the facilites..booked this hotel purley because of jacuusi and it was broken...

Review 51:the staff were excellant..the bar food lovely..room lovely

Review 52:The hotel seems a bit dated overall. The cleaning staff can be very persistent if you do not leave a "do not disturb" sign outside your door.

Review 53:The staff were very friendly and the breakfast had lots of options.

Review 54:Being charged for a child's breakfast at check in and then being told that the room wasn't ready, still feel miffed at this, for the sake of €6 I think it shouldn't have been charged for ( our daughter had 2 slices of toast and a bowl of cereal )

Review 55:Staff were very welcoming and friendly, the pool and its facility were very good. The bar food was tasty. Will be back.

Review 56:Our car was crashed into in the car park and although 18 cameras in the car park not one could see what happened as they are not maintained ( trees covered the view of at least 4 or 5 cameras) and we were not even offered a dinner as a good will guesture and are now stuck paying for the damage to a brand new 2 week old car!! Also breakfast is rotton eggs over cooked the first day like rubber then under cooked the next day (snotty)

Review 57:Rooms are lovely and clean. Have everything you would expect from a hotel room

Review 58:Even though the hotel has a no smoking requirement, our room always had a smell of stale smoke.

Review 59:The hotel is convenient for visiting our family. The restaurant had a good variety of choice.

Review 60:Only downside is check in I was waiting about 20 mins as there was one girl on reception and it was a busy time but I was checking in with a special needs child who found it difficult waiting

Review 61:I liked when I requested certain things it was done on request

Review 62:Early morning traffic noise as bedroom window had to be left open as was warm weather on our stay. I'm a light sleeper, it didn't bother the rest of the family.

Review 63:Huge family rooms

Review 64:On a wet day a games room would be a good extension otherwise I wouldn't change a thing.

Review 65:We got a nice new room with a separate large shower and Jacuzzi bath . It was near the leisure centre and the restaurant was well run with a great choice on the menu. There was entertainment in the bar in the evening.

Review 66:asked for a Quiet Room as have 2 young kids - was given a room over the Revolving door facing onto a bust road with Petrol Station across the road - Noisiest Hotel ever - Staff were very unfriendly & un help full & even Rude at breakfast

Review 67:the pool & the staff in the pool were nice

Review 68:No view from room but no biggie - room 101 looks out on a roof

Review 69:Friendly staff especially Agne - bar staff. Lovely room - proper hair dryer and great shower - breakfast tasty and good choices

Review 70:Breakfast was pretty bland and limited. No continental options to speak of. No air con. No fans available.Had to leave windows open to cool down which opened onto a roof which many other rooms had access too.

Review 71:Staff were very nice

Review 72:Honestly didn't find anything that we didn't like

Review 73:Staff very helpfull and made us feel welcome Food in Bar was excellent, Breakfast also very good. Room clean and comfortable We used Hotel as an over night stay to break up a long journey from Northern Ireland to Kerry, plan to return for a longer stay with friends in the near furture

Review 74:Children would have liked waffles 4 breakfast and I muesli . Hotel was busy in the evening and I didn't precook a table so we waited an hour 2 get food in the bar!

Review 75:Good location and lovely facility good food and helpful staff.

Review 76:Litter all around hotel. Breakfast fry was cold. Breakfast started from 7am, we arrived there at 7.55. Thought 185E is very expensive - it's just a room...they say 4* hotel..it's still just a hotel. But seems to be the way some locations in Ireland are going. Noise, music before us, and also a car alarm went off right outside our window and felt like ages before it stopped. In family room with young kids, not what you want.

Review 77:Could not fault room (Bar price) Family room, included double & 2 single beds. Ample space. If nit picking tv very small. Good location - easy walk into town, and easy walk to good playground and park. Staff friendly.

Review 78:cleaning of rooms sub standard, half biscuit found under chair, no batteries in the cd remote, no water bottles (had to ask), after turndown, clean up and renew jells and shampoo, all small details, but put together make or break a review, also tray charge for room service not good

Review 79:staff, very friendly, girls especially, the boys are ok but do not try as hard.

Review 80:Had dinner in the "Bistro" and unfortunately the food was well below average (especially for the price).

Review 81:We stayed as our daughter had a athletics competition early morning - great location for the field. Staff were very friendly & helpful - particularly at the pool and front desk. Went above and beyond.

Review 82:Paid an outrageous €16, for two packed lunches, = 4 slices of bread with highly proceed chicken (disgraceful), two bottles of water and two apples.

Review 83:The shower and bath, room in general

Review 84:Very loud music from wedding until gone 1am. Breakfast food was not great. Some was cold and the eggs looked unappealing.

Review 85:Good Location. Friendly staff.

Review 86:staff in reception were excellent in the bar were excellent but did not like staff in breakfast restaurant were not very nice not a bit helpful i would not return having spent a lot of money with their attitude needs re training

Review 87:We had left the room to go down town for a walk on our arrival back someone had come into our room to close the curtains it was 3.30pm. The smell in the room was of tcp antiseptic and the room only seemed half cleaned. We had an interlocking room and our neighbours were extremely noisey. We could here everything. I have stayed in this hotel before and loved it,but was so disappointed to hear this from my parents whom i had booked the hotel for

Review 88:The food was great and the staff in the bar were so friendly and very helpful.

Review 89:Loved the atmosphere, the bathtub jacuzzi in the executive suite is amazing to relax in. The beds were super comfy. Room was spotless. Staff very friendly throughout, quality bar service. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice!! Could not have asked for more. Very very happy.

Review 90:Not value for money especially Saturday night rates . Could hear next room conversations, poor shower , breakfast poor selection & presentation Rooms very basic, no complementary water , no pictures on walls & no thermostat in room

Review 91:Staff friendly Comfortable beds Bed rooms clean

Review 92:Room had no air conditioning & was extremely warm at night.stayed on a Saturday night & was difficult to get served at the bar by times.was waiting over ten minutes to pay for food

Review 93:Hotel was very clean & in very close proximity to the town centre

Review 94:My plans didn't allow me to stay longer

Review 95:Very nice modern amenities, large rooms and nice views. Bar and restaurant very nicely appointed. Staff always happy and happy to help.

Review 96:Loved the hotel, location and how friendly the staff were. The room was beautiful. When we checked in the lady said that they had up graded us which was really a lovely thing to do as were in Offaly for a funeral. Had food also which was gorgeous. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Review 97:I asked for quiet room on booking and again on check in. But that night we heard the disco going until 1am quite clearly and also heard the party goers outside. The room was a bit too warm but we had to close the window as we could hear the traffic outside. I am sure there is a quieter room somewhere.

Review 98:Couldnt fault this hotel in terms of cleanliness, comfort and staff. Food was very good and staff couldnt be more helpful. Leisure centre was good.

Review 99:There was nothing not to like we have to say

Review 100:All Staff were very friendly and nice especially a lady by the name of Beirnie who worked in lounge at night she was so good humour and lovely to tell where to go around the town shes a keeper

Review 101:I could hear the alarm going off in the next room

Review 102:I liked the staff, very friendly and the hotel is very welcoming coming into the lobby. The bar area is also very relaxing. The bedroom is very comfortable.

Review 103:I had no wifi...the manager found a single area in the hotel...far from my room...I could not get in touch with anyone...missed connecting with people. ...I had to walk to the Bridge House Hotel to get wifi..

Review 104:Not much

Review 105:Service was great and staff were friendly and accommodating. Kids had an absolute Ball in the Pool and the Hotel itself (maybe running around too much) but staff did not mind. Free Baby Bowl food - potato gravy mash - yummy!!

Review 106:Only the fact that I've now probably done myself a miss service by telling everyone how fab it is

Review 107:All of it. The staff were amazing the breakfast the bar area the food in the restaurant. Couldn't fault at all. I originally booked the bridge hotel but got the wrong date and they had no room but so glad that was the case. Much prefer the tullamore xxx

Review 108:Cooked breakfast was not up to standard. Had to phone reception twice for iron and ironing board. Lack of sockets in room. Found one in a press?? .

Review 109:Rooms and hotel were dirty a layer of dust on mirrors and skirting. Room was freezing no heating on at all. Checkout is at 12 but staff knocking on the door at 9:30am asking us to leave so they could clean room. Very poor menu and food choice we went down the town to get something to eat. I would never stay here again unpleasant staff and poor facilities I don't understand how this is a 4star hotel!!!

Review 110:I stayed in room 247. The wall to the adjoining room was paper thin. I could hear the guest on his mobile to his wife.... And I could also hear his wife on the other end of the phone, and his various alarms from 6am. The next night was worse- the room occupants returned to the adjoining room at 02:30 and were loud.

Review 111:Good location. Bar food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good.

Review 112:Lovely hotel, nice location, excllent staff especially reception and lady in the bar who i believe was called Bridget. Nice fresh breakfast which is a welcome change from the normal cold buffet style offering most hotels have now

Review 113:Radiant heater is a bit loud.

Review 114:The staff was so polite and professional. The hotel is placed in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was clean. Breakfast was good. I will be back.

Review 115:Could not wet hands with tap in bathroom. Shower non existent. Scalding hot water only. Not enough power to actually wash under.

Review 116:Location good. Parking good. Room good. Plumbing shocking.

Review 117:Breakfast is ok but could do better needed and the bar could do better entertainment especially on New Years eve as the band was very poor and forgot about the countdown for New Years had to stop mid song with in the last few seconds

Review 118:Rooms are spacces and bed the was comfy as hotel beds go. Bar food is nice and prices are fair

Review 119:Pretty much everything. We absolutely loved staying there and our only regret was that we were only there for one night. This is a gorgeous hotel in the middle of Ireland and we would recommend it to anyone.

Review 120:no dvds for kids/families, disappointing

Review 121:a very friendly young waitress at breakfast (with ponytail, great with the kids, other waitress was also friendly and offered to make us up a breakfast as one of us could not make it down to breakfast room

Review 122:Checked in on the 23rd of December - had booked a room for 2 Adults and 2 children . When we got to room, the additional bed had not been put in the room - we rang reception and it was sent up , when unpacking we saw that the bathroom had tired dated dirty tiles especially around the bathtub and as it was a jacuzzi bath even the jets were old and dirty looking . I mentioned it to the girl who had arrived with the bed and she agreed with me and suggested changing rooms which she arranged for us - before she left I pointed out the big cobwebs hanging over the bed - We were moved to a second room , unfortunately the hot tap did not work on the bath here and even the Duty Manager could not fill the bath for us .. he offered to move us to another (third room) which we accepted - this was a nicer room but the handle on the Bath tap was broken and kept coming off - the additional bed was of poor quality and the slats kept coming out .. leaving one of us taking turns sleeping on the floor . Also there was only 3 towels in the room for a family of 4 . By the time we had done a tour of the hotel rooms - I was reluctant to phone to ask for more towels , mention the broken tap or poor bed. The duty manager did send us up 4 drinks from the bar . But how could all 3 rooms be genuinely problematic. We got up early (6am) checked out on and went home to sleep, its a shame as this Hotel would have great potential. Won't be back again .

Review 123:Location of the Hotel. Staff were pleasant .

Review 124:Water pressure poor in shower and temperature varied seemingly of it's own accord

Review 125:Clean, big room, nice breakfast, lovely leisure centre, friendly and efficient staff

Review 126:when booking online no mention that they have a very good restaurant, but we did find a good one locally.

Review 127:great location, staff were professional with a smile and and really helpful.

Review 128:Not a thing

Review 129:We have stayed here before and found the tullamore court to be everything we could possibly want from facilities to friendliness 100% every time

Review 130:Hotel didn't seem to have record of booking through Booking.com, would have liked more toiletries as they were two booked into the room.

Review 131:Staff,food,location was great...very friendly and accommodating.

Review 132:Bar staff at 4.30-5pm poor service slow noticed one r two persons waiting impatiently lookin for service including a couple dat was with us also

Review 133:Setting food/ breakfast excellant receiption staff very helpful Wud return again

Review 134:The bathroom was large and clean but shower had little more than a trickle of water. That was the only disappointment.

Review 135:The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was fresh and inviting. Hotel well situated in town. Excellent breakfast. I would rate the hotel 8/10.

Review 136:Very noisy radiator early mornings. Burning hot water in shower, not easy to regulate temperature.

Review 137:Exceptionally friendly & attentive staff great food in restaurant excellent breakfast choices Great location

Review 138:I would highly recommend this Hotel .I have been all over the world and I will stand by my word that this was one of the nicest Hotels I ever stayed in.Food was unbelievable, staff friendly .What more do you want.Oh yes a leisure centre and music was also great.thank you .I will return again.
