Reviews for Hotel Amici
Review 1:Parking is very small so it and miss as to whether you get one. Some of the staff not so friendly. Wifi didn't work in our room. Could have done with cleaning the splashes off the wardrobe and wiped down the dirty walls
Review 2:The lady on check in was friendly. Good location
Review 3:Wifi only in common area. Breakfast basic though there were some pastries on offer.
Review 4:A very comfortable hotel. Staff very helpful. Excellent value for money. Car park small but very valuable. Though in busy season there may not be room for all?
Review 5:Breakfast is poor.
Review 6:Location coudln't be better. Close to the train station, just in the border of Storic places, on the way to the Valley of the temples. Nice and quiet. Free parking on a side.
Review 7:Breakfast! Only dry bread and some spreads. Really poor selection. Shame. The rooms and bathroom seemed a bit run down - but we're clean. It was hard to sleep as the room doors were very thin and you hear everyone arriving back.
Review 8:The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not speak enough Italian to communicate fully, but they were always willing to help.
Review 9:The hotel was expensive and breakfast really poor.
Review 10:Good hotel just a short walk from Agrigento city center, parking for free and breakfast included. When you have a car, it is a best option in Agrigento.
Review 11:No wi-fi in the room, only at reception where there was no air conditioning. So the choice was stay cool, or use the wi-fi, very inconvenient. Rooms were very small.
Review 12:Close to shops and restaurants. Onsite parking was good. Daily breakfast was good.
Review 13:Very convenient for public transport and car hire. Easy access to local restaurants and short bus ride from ancient monuments and tourist sites. Easy to find.
Review 14:Breakfasts poor, small shower cubical and no soups holder
Review 15:Central location
Review 16:Dirty Unconfortable
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Breakfasts were a little monotonous.
Review 19:We had a lovely view from our room over the Valley of the Temples and of the sea further away.
Review 20:the furniture and the bath rooms needs a lot of work.
Review 21:Wifi not in room. Had power cut also.
Review 22:Goid location near station and several nice cafes.
Review 23:the hotel offers free parking place
Review 24:Room was not clean. Breakfast was poor. Staff was very arrogant.
Review 25:Nothing. The hotel was a waste of money.
Review 26:Some of the staff gave poor and unfriendly service.
Review 27:Great location with nice outside terrace Free parking Good broadband
Review 28:A perfectly satisfactory hotel - we were only there one night and it suited our purpose. Location excellent for town and Temples and also easy walking distance from the bus station.
Review 29:I think that breakfast could be a bit improved. Packaged croissants and crust biscuits are not what I would call elegant. But it was sufficient and if you are on the move, in one day, out the other, I guess this is all you need.
Review 30:Very friendly staff and the manager was very helpful. Parking available just outside the hotel in their own private car park. A bit tight, but what isn't in Sicily. We asked for places to have a nice meal and were directed by the manager and within walking distance to a quaint and very very elegant restaurant called Kalos. Really good as first class restaurants go and at affordable prices. This is the sort of restaurant that the Sicilians go go and not just tourists. So you end up with a really authentic menu and an excellent chef. Check it out.
Review 31:The toilet had a leak which they obviously knew about as they had placed a towel around the pipe. The water dripped and spread across the floor overnight. Shower was tiny and not of good quality but certainly clean. Breakfast selection poor. Noisy. Try and select a room from -3 level as I was -1 and I could hear everything up one level in the bar / reception area.
Review 32:Excellent location for someone using public transport. Bed comfortable. Lovely staff.
Review 33:Breakfast was a bit crude and room was very basic.
Review 34:Location is great 10 min away from valle dei tempi. Very very close to the main street full of shops, bars and restaurants. Great location.
Review 35:The breakfast was terrible: coffee like mud, no fresh fruit except for two tired old apples, kook-aid-like fruit juice, a few stale buns.
Review 36:The evening receptionist was helpful, efficient and friendly. She was the bet thing about our stay.
Review 37:We went in winter and it was cold. The breakfast was disappointing: mostly crackers and other things wrapped in plastic....
Review 38:Good location across from the central shopping streets, an easy short drive to the Valley of the Temples, beautiful views including the temples from some of the rooms and balconies...
Review 39:Lack of light in bedroom Broken shower (but useable) Difficult parking No WiFi in bedroom
Review 40:Friendly and helpful staff, Happy to give us a beach towel (Usually) good breakfast WiFi in lounge
Review 41:we found breakfast to be alittle disappointing
Review 42:Really good location, 5 minute walk to the train station. Downstairs is a car hire company. Free guest parking. Short bus ride to the Valley of the Temples. Good size room and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Right in the centre of town.
Review 43:Problem with all network.no wifi,no credit card... Hair dryer not working,no hot water.
Review 44:Location is good. Free car parking. Ask for Kalos restaurant.
Review 45:The breakfast was absolutely dismal and the breakfast room was the same! The front desk begrudgingly helped - they prefered to sit in their office and smoke and talk on the telephone. The television system is so archaic! And when it came time to pay, they said the line for credit card payment was down. I have been given that comment a couple of times before elsewhere. All it is a ruse - they want cash so they don't have to pay the credit card fees!! Why can't they be more upfront when you make your reservations? Such deceipt is disgusting!!! I should have paid a little more money and stayed next door at Hotel Exclusive!!!
Review 46:uncomfortable bed, acoustics could be softened with some rugs. Yoghurt or cheese would be nice with breakfast.
Review 47:Location, central and easy to access the Valley of Temples. Clean and good wi-fi in the reception area.
Review 48:All the rooms were terrible and need renovation, especially the bathrooms. The rooms smelled like an ashtray. Seeds and pillows smelled strangely. Unacceptable breakfast. Definitely not value for money
Review 49:The private parking
Review 50:The breakfast which was included in the price was revolting. Just prepacked toast and rolls and croissants that were not fresh. Rather spend the money and go and eat else where. The shower is so small that your can barely turn around in it. And we are all small slender people!
Review 51:Well situated. Walking distance to old town. Easy driving distance to Valley of the Temples
Review 52:The breakfast was very basic.
Review 53:The location was great. It is next to the bus that runs to 'the Valley of the Temples' and the train station. The staff were friendly and the air conditioning worked well.
Review 54:Shower stall is too narrow for the large bathroom, very difficult tomanuever in for a large person. Wi-Fi service is inadequate andinoperative for an older laptop to connect to the internet, anddifficult for business purposes.
Review 55:Excellent European Breakfast ! Room was comfortable with a great view ofthe Valley of Temples. Nice windows. Nice staff and service people.
Review 56:Difficult to fix water temperature while using the shower. TV set is really too small.
Review 57:Good location, just 1 minute to the rail station, and very easy walk to city center. Free parking, free Wifi, free breakfast even though it is quite simple. Room is clean, the facilities are bit old.
Review 58:Breakfast was a bit mean. Bed was rather hard.
Review 59:Clean, comfortable hotel, with friendly helpful staff; convenient for the Temples site. Very close to the station. Good car parking facilities.
Review 60:Hotel is very difficult to find; Agrigento is not an easy city to navigate by car. The part of town the hotel is in is a bit scary-lots of vacant and abandoned buildings. However, it is just on the edge of a nicer downtown area, so you can get into this area by crossing a major street. The staff at the hotel does not have the friendliest attitude. The breakfast is very skimpy and sort of first come, first served with not enough for all the guests. Tile in shower was black mold and floors in room and bath were dirty.
Review 61:The hotel has an elevator. The person on duty recommended a restaurant which was within walking distance and was one of the best meals we had while on a 2-week trip in Italy.
Review 62:It was difficult to find with GPS and the neighborhood was commercial. Not real tourist oriented.
Review 63:It was close to the old town and close to the train station.
Review 64:The shower attachment and cubicle design meant that the floor got very wet
Review 65:The situation of the hotel was perfect -near the shops for eating out and on the right side of town for visiting the Valley of the Temples. We found the hotel easily and the car park was a bonus. Our room 101 had views to the sea.
Review 66:Excellent location - only a few yards from train station and bus stop to Temples - Quite close to Agrigento town although there are a number of steps up to the main street. (do not rely on Google for location - it is wrong.) Highly recommended.
Review 67:The Tv was very old and did not work properly. The breakfast wasminimal...no butter, no cheese, ham etc. and definitely none of thevarious pastries we had come to expect from our other hotels in Sicily
Review 68:It was in a great situati0n near to the station and buses stoppednearby. I thye hotel was quiet and comfortablet was easy to walkto the town.
Review 69:The shower in our room leaked badly, leaving a large amount of water around the loo. The room was apparently clean, but when I put a case on top of the wardrobe I brought down the dust of years.
Review 70:The location and the staff, who were very helpful.
Review 71:We could hardly sleep because we heard all other hotel guests, very noisy. The rooms are very old and the mattress is uncomfortable. Even less than breakfast.
Review 72:Very central location.
Review 73:Terrible breakfast on day one -much better on day 2.The GPS made it more difficult to find. Get to the surprisingly very lovely train station and it is right next to it.
Review 74:Excellent location near the medieval center - 500 m away. Also freeparking was nice. A friendly staff.
Review 75:In my room toilet flushing was not working, and I could notice that I wasnot the first one with this problem cause the flushing itself had nolid. Also they did got wrong my booking date, they were expecting me forthe day after, but then they solved this. Breakfast very cheap.
Review 76:Staff was friendly and eager to help.Lounge area was clean and liked thefree WiFi in this area after I asked for the password.
Review 77:The hotel needs alot of work, fixing broken shower heads, peeling paint, broken window screens. My room was at the base of the stairs, so I heard everything in the hotel at night (from the lobby to people walking around). I wished I had brought my sleep medicine with me. Carpet would be a nice addition. .
Review 78:The location is convenient for shopping and close to restuarants.
Review 79:Unable to sleep due to street noise from bars/karioki-to after 3am.needed ear plugs.
Review 80:Convenient
Review 81:Colazione povera, camera molto semplice
