Reviews for Arches B&B

Review 1:Almost the perfect B&B, nicely restored warm house, friendly owners and an outstanding breakfast with fresh fruits and a wide choice of sausages, fish and cheese, homemade marmalade and warm dishes. A beautiful terrace on the river side completes the perfect impression.highly recommended.

Review 2:No tea facility (but tea offered on arrival and flasks were filled up with hot water on request! )

Review 3:best breakfast with great selection of fish and cheeses, fresh fruits, different breads, yoghurt, muesli... plus optional hot breakfast. Tea and coffee with fruit bread on arrival. Great terrace right above quiet river. Very friendly quiet host. Rooms excellent.

Review 4:The food was excellent but there was no need for continental meats fish and cheese as well as the excellent cooked breakfast. The excess induced feelings of guilt

Review 5:Communal breakfast

Review 6:Only thing that maybe could be improved is the shower but overall a fantastic place to stay.

Review 7:Truly amazing breakfast and a lovely big bathroom and comfy bed. The garden with hot tub overlooking the river was very special.

Review 8:Friendly people Nice location Excellent presentation of food Clean and comfortable facilities All in all I would certainly recommend it as a place to stay

Review 9:WiFi and tv signal not great .shower not a bit powerful .i had read in other reviews that the owner's give you a great welcome i didnt find that we got a hello showed us our room and a goodbye when we left maybe he was having a bad day this wouldn't turn me off returning as it is a beautiful bed and breakfast

Review 10:Amazing breakfast beautiful room location is brilliant beautiful grounds .

Review 11:Best B&B we ever stayed in. Very peaceful house with lovely lounging area by the river and pool. Wonderful breakfast with great selection. The only negative would be that credit or debit cards are not accepted and there is no ATM in the village. I was not aware of this beforehand, maybe I just missed it on the website. We managed to scrape just about enough cash to cover our bill.

Review 12:Fantastic location - around the corner from village, on banks of the river. Attention to details of your comfort and the facilities by hosts, Paul and Rosina, creates a boutique B&B experience.

Review 13:Beautiful room, nicely decorated. Impressive breakfast, impossible to finish and delicious (especially the excellent smoked salmon!). We arrived late but the host was very welcoming.

Review 14:The Arches is one of the nicest B&Bs we stayed for a long time. Perfect location, beautiful terrace by the river, very warm welcome by the owners. Simply perfect!

Review 15:Friendly, welcoming bed & breakfast. There was even a pool! Excellent location, just around the corner from the main street. The owners are genuine and you are made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was phenomenal! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Review 16:I had an overall wonderful time at The Arches and highly recommend it. It has such a warm and welcoming feeling to it and I just adored my room with a skylight above the bed that allowed me to stargaze at night. Perfect!

Review 17:Pressure of shower in first floor room was very low

Review 21:Having to leave in the rain!!!

Review 22:Arriving wet on our motorcycles, we were greeted to a very warm welcome and a cup of tea, the room was perfect, then you go out a side door downstairs to a secret hideaway with decking and a pool to sit out and relax while overlooking the river. The location is perfectly located right in the village for food , a few pints and great craic. The breakfast was really good something for everyone's taste. We will be back !

Review 23:There was not one thing wrong!

Review 25:Lovely warm welcome. Rooms very nice, bed very comfortable, high quality sheets not your average B&B ! It was top notch!! Breakfast was fantastic & plenty to choose from, we will be back

Review 26:Superb breakfast, more than we could eat! Arches is beautifully furnished, beds extremely comfortable, room spotlessly clean, nothing too much trouble for our hosts.

Review 27:Cash only and no ATM or bank in town, so come prepared. A small desk in room would have been appreciated.

Review 28:Very pleasant and accommodating hosts, good location. Excellent B&B accommodation in a lovely spot.

Review 29:TV didn't work, room small with no chairs, towel racks or adequate bathroom shelving.

Review 30:It is located close to main street which makes it easy for meals etc.

Review 31:Nothing!

Review 32:Serene, beautiful deck and sitting area near the river. Small pool was an unexpected surprise! Absolutely lovely. The most comfortable bed and beautiful foods for breakfast. Easy, quick 3 minute walk to town.

Review 33:Missed having kettle in room (even though could have made tea/coffee downstairs)

Review 34:Very clean, modern, good shower, really comfortable bed and great breakfast.

Review 35:Couldn't find how to turn the heating down which meant that the bed was too warm, realised in the morning there was a plastic sheet under the bed sheets hence the heat build up too. Couldn't leave the windows open to cool the room down as the midges were out.... couldn't watch TV, when retuned it, it still wouldn't play

Review 36:Brilliant Wifi comfy & extremely large bed Room looked lovely and very comfy. Breakfast was amazing. Loved eating all together.

Review 37:The only negative was that the wifi was a bit weak in our room on the top floor. However, even that became a positive as we chose to read the books we had borrowed from the living room instead.

Review 38:Paul was very nice and accommodating. We also loved perusing the various books that adorned the corridors and rooms we passed through. Perfect base for exploring the incredible scenery of Beara.

Review 39:Only gripe was no kettle or drink making facility in the room but we were offered coffee and tea on arrival

Review 62:The hosts were so friendly and hospitable with tea and cakes on arrival. Delicious breakfast with bowl of fresh fruit, platter of cheeses, meats, egg and a cooked breakfast to follow - if you can manage it after that feast. Very comfortable bed.
