Reviews for Anthemis Hotel

Review 1:This is not a 5-star hotel, so you shouldn't expect butlers and robes and infinity pools, but coming in with expectations of luxury is the only way I could see someone being disappointed in any way. That and two twin beds rather than a double, but that's also not a big surprise.

Review 2:For the location, price, and area, this hotel was spectacular. The staff was unbelievably welcoming and friendly, making sure everything we need was taken care of. Fantastic location five minutes walk from the beach, working AC and fridge in the room, and continental breakfast in a beautiful garden courtyard. From beginning to end we were made to feel right at home.

Review 3:It seemed closer to theferry port town kirikos where i took the ferry too than i thought but it is actually vvery far so i had to take a cab

Review 4:Closest town ag kirikos is 2 km walk by road o 1/2 km if you walk along the water. 2 road town with minimal activities other than thermal springs in the ocean hence the tiwn is called therma.

Review 5:This is a two star hotel but the level of service offered by the owners is a real six star. They are super friendly and helpful. They helped us to rent a car when all the cars on the island were already booked. They washed our beach towels for free, our son was given toys on the day when we left. We had great holidays on Ikaria.

Review 6:Nothing.

Review 7:The owners were lovely and despite no English spoken, with our very little Greek we were able to communicate and they couldn't do enough for us. The whole hotel, although not a luxury hotel, was extremely clean with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in our room. Breakfast was great.

Review 8:The owner Vangelis is extremely welcoming. He was eager to make my stay as pleasant as possible, whether that meant allowing me to pay at the end of my stay, helping me do some laundry or extending the check-out time by a couple of hours. He also took the time to show me around the different places in Therma on the first day, and seemed to know everybody in the community by name! The room itself was very clean and well-equipped. The economy twin room I stayed in had everything I needed - ensuite bathroom, fridge, fast WiFi, television, air conditioner... the only thing I would've wished for was curtains for the shower, which was almost too minor a grievance to mention. My booking didn't actually include breakfast, but Vangelis threw it in for me for free anyway. Taking breakfast in the hotel's pretty patio felt truly relaxing - if only I could speak Greek and join in to the vibrant conversations between the guests! Overall, it was an amazing stay on an amazing island, all for the very affordable price tag of 28 euros per night. I would definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to visit Ikaria again!

Review 9:best host ever! :) perfect breakfast, very clean room, cute, very friendly and helpful crew! easy connection with the port Agios Kirikos. nice restaurants around.

Review 10:The biggest compliment I could give would be that the owners of Anthemis treated us like family, plain and simple. They took us under their wing, showed around their town in person including all of the places we might eat in the harbour area. Rooms were simple, but included telephones, TVs, WIFI and a really good breakfast in the morning. If you have a choice whether or not to include breakfast, do it, because it is at breakfast (which sometimes goes as late as noon and then some) that you meet other travellers and can share stories with the hotel owners. We met lots of people there and ended up travelling with some of them on the island. FYI, travelling to the far reaches of the Western shore of the island may require a 4x4 vehicle, but it is well worth it--crazy roads with beautiful views. We fell in love with Ikaria and their cultural festivals (panygiri). Rent a kayak or padalo from ex-Londoner, Nick in the harbour. He'll give you good advice about the island and its cultural festivals as well.

Review 11:Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms, run by the nicest, friendliest couple you could ever hope to meet (and their small daughter!) Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer, and that we had gone to them first. Efkraisto!

Review 12:We loved our stay at Anthemis Hotel. The hosts were amazing, helpful, and had good English. They went out of their way to make our stay with them wonderful. The room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable, wifi was good and the view from our window was gorgeous. It had a really great location, a two minute walk into the main area of Therma and the beach. Would definitely recommend!

Review 13:Nice staff. Room good size and clean. Breakfast good, but missed dark bread. Location.

Review 14:Nothing, was a great stay

Review 15:Super friendly staff (father and son), clean and quiet rooms, easy walk or bus from Therma to Ag. Kyr.

Review 16:All was great

Review 17:Position close to the beach, hotel owners very helpful and nice

Review 18:I had an incredible to trip to Ikaria and the town of Therma. I was readily welcommed into the fold and treated like family by the hotel owners. I highly recommend a trip to this amazing place!

Review 19:No problem whatsoever, all was very well.

Review 20:Everything was great! Helpful staff, fantastic location and service.
