Reviews for Pyrgos Exclusive Boutique Villas
Review 1:Very steep access but once driven the first time it gets easier.
Review 2:Magnificent rooms and surrounds. We loved the rustic look and feel of this place, yet modern. Clean and welcoming
Review 3:wi-fi. IT works but not everywhere. Location perfect BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE CAR:)
Review 4:Great view! Very comfortable apartaments, perfect furnished. Home made breakfast served in cosy garden with great view. boutiques apartaments, quite, cosy, perfect holiday:) we prolong our stay for extra three days.
Review 5:Upon arrival we were not given the room we booked and were suggested another one next to the washing room, and the water processor working all night. We also found a big spider in the bathroom when taking a shower, and some small spiders on the wall above our bed and one fell in the bed. The staff was not nice or welcoming. The hotel is far from the centre, and the road to get there is very hard.
Review 6:The idea and facilities of the hotel are good.
Review 7:WiFi signal did not reach all rooms. A bit difficult to find as it is nested within the hill above Agios Kirikos.
Review 8:Beautiful boutique villas with phantastic views over Agios Kirikos. Tastefully decorated villas and great amenities including a swimming pool. Friendly and helpful owners!
Review 9:Road to the premisse is very bad, long and steep. You need a taxi which is not always available. Room and bed were small. The hospitality fluctuated just as the WiFi!mi
Review 10:The view was great, building also, nice pool, nice places to sit outside. Fantastic sunrise!
Review 11:We booked a 3-bed room and upon our arrival we were offered to choose between this or a 2-bed room with a discount on daily rate. We agreed to move to the smaller room, but on our departure we were charged the 3-bed room, with no possibility from hotel to get the promised discount. This really destroyed our hotel experience.
Review 12:Friendly and helpful staff, which offered directions for nice spots of the island. Modern, well designed comfortable room, really clean. Nice view also.
Review 13:We did not get the unit we had been promised (the "pool suite"). The bedroom was nice and spacious but the downstairs livingroom/kitchen had nowhere to sit except for uncomfortable kitchen chairs.
Review 14:Nice pool, beautiful views
Review 15:WiFi was a bit touch and go. Also--and I wouldn't classify this as a negative exactly--expect to do a bunch of walking here, both to and from the town and on the property itself.
Review 16:My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night, but we really wish we had been able to stay longer. This hotel is a truly magical place; set high up on a hill a short distance from the town (and natural mineral springs), the property is covered with olive trees, fig trees, and grapes hanging from trellises. The architecture of the buildings and pool area enhance the atmospheric setting. The rooms are picturesque yet modern, with stone floors, wood furniture, and quality artwork. The piece de resistance, though, is the large balcony and the associated views of the islands and sea it provides. You would be remiss not to stay here.
Review 17:We had a great time at the Kavos Villa. We especially liked the very welcoming staff, our private roof terrace with excellent view, and the stone built houses that really fit to the environment. Great place to stay.
Review 18:The balconies had amazing views of the mountains and the sea. The accommodation was very relaxing to be in. The lady who welcomed us was always helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Review 19:Everything was beautiful. Our hostess, Hari was so amazing - she had a bright and beautiful smile, catered to our every need, and made sure we had a wonderful time. We chose Pyrgos for my husband's parents 50th anniversary trip and we were so impressed with everything at Pyrgos. Ikaria is even more magical with Pyrgos. Highly recommend, the value is absolutely incredible for the accommodations, breakfast, views, and most of all the staff (especially Hari)! Thank you Pyrgos for making our stay extra special.
Review 20:There is nothing negative one say about Pyros.
Review 21:Breathing taking views, staff and proprietor absolutely wonderful. location perfect. We loved everything.
Review 22:The fact that we had to leave the Sheraton hotel in scicily catania after one night. and spend another 2000£ to get to greece . The Sheraton whilst recommended by you wants closing down it is filthy and outdated .
Review 23:Wifi was weak and they should install a few repeaters! And the kitchen is minimal. Need comfier outdoor furniture. Maybe hammocks?
Review 24:Great location at the top of the town. 10 minute steep walk down to the port. Quiet and beautiful setting. Very helpful staff. Comfy bed and lovely private terrace.
Review 25:Lovely views and an attractive, nice spacious room with a balcony. Plenty of tables and chairs, power points etc. Good kitchen facilities. Excellent pool. Location is uphill from the town which was fine for us as we like walking and knew this is advance, but would not be suitable for everyone (or not without a car).
Review 26:It's a little bit difficult to access the site because of narrow and sloping road.
Review 27:Beauty of the site and the villa's, quiete environment.Wonderful view from the terrace. Everything was perfect.
Review 28:The Wifi which is a bit weak. The location given by booking is not exact, it is about 100 m higher up in the hill
Review 29:the location the value with respect to the price
Review 30:The distance of 5 mns walk to the village was not a problem for us but it could be one for others (on the steep way back) but it's the price to have a unforgettable view!!!. The rent of a car is absolutely necessary to visit the island but the Hotel can arrange for you a car at a very fair price.
Review 31:The Boutique Villas has been built with old stones and wood and the final result is very nice. The views on the sea from your terrace is fantastic. The pool is a real pleasure after a long day discovering the island, you will have a amazing sea view too from it. But the real difference which makes Pyrgos Boutique Hotel the place to stay in Agios Kirikos is the hospitality, the professionalism and the smile of Ana, the manager of the hotel. She will certainly help you to make your stay on Ikaria unforgettable. With no doubts, Pyrgos Exclusive Boutique Villas is a wonderful place to stay on Ikaria.
Review 32:Villas on top of very steep hill, tough without a car or if going to restaurant and want to leave car behind.
Review 33:View from balcony Wonderful staff, especially the lovely Eri.
Review 34:Access is a bit problematic
Review 35:Excellent decoration and view, clean, calm and overall beautiful.Supernice staff (which is very common overall in Icaria)
Review 36:there's absolutely no place, no tray, nothing, to put all the stuff in the bathroom, where the things would stay dry. The sink had been installed far too low. All in all, the person, who made the installations & facilities in the bathroom, was surely not a professional & had no eye for important details. a better wifi would be important as well.
Review 37:the words "exclusive" & "boutique" are a bit exaggerated, with furniture partly from Ikea ;-) ....it's not the luxury, people might expect, but for sure, it's the best place to stay on the island of Ikaria & the architecture, the nature around, the view are beautiful. it's a peaceful place, where we gladly would come back again without doubt next time being on Ikaria & we would recommend the place to all
Review 38:Everithingin the building has been super. The staff was very kind. The swimming pool was very nice (and with a nice view)
Review 39:The room with double aspect. .
Review 40:The bad wifi connection.
Review 41:We liked everything and especially the view from the balcony.
Review 42:A very good and friendly area with beautiful people. They give everything from their heart.
Review 43:Hand held shower
Review 44:Stunning views and great pool in a peaceful location. A great place to relax and get away from the bustle for a few days
Review 45:Nothing!
Review 46:Position, view and independance
Review 47:There were no negatives.
Review 48:Location, Staff, Proprietor, Views, Property, everything.
Review 49:slow wifi
Review 50:all was perfect
Review 51:hospitality , cleanliness, nature, view, cosy enviroment,
Review 52:up the hill lack of restaurant for lazy guests like me
Review 53:scenery from my terrace and quietness
Review 54:Great place to stay if you want traditional luxury with views. Very lose to Agios Kyrikos without all the noise. Staff were wonderful and made it a very pleasurable experience. Would highly recommend.
Review 55:Windy - but really the problem was that it hit the inside of the vent all night long and made a loud noise. My wife told management and they did nothing. I eventually disconnected the vent and stuffed in a towel which ended the annoying night time noise. The wind was fine and actually enjoyed it but the banging was bad. Driving up the hill to the location is an adventure - not bad but you should be prepared for the steep climb.
Review 56:Great view of the sea from the top. nice rooms we had the superior suite which was great for the family. Pool was nice and kids really enjoyed it on a hot day.
Review 57:Nothing at all.Everything was perfect.
Review 58:The villa was made of stone and wood. Spacious room with kichenette, comfortable bed, fully aircondition rooms. Away from the noise. We travel a lot and it was one of the best villas we have ever stayed! Owner and staff very helpfull to explain everything and give us advise to discover the island.
Review 59:I liked the hilly walk up to the villas, but some people might find it abit much. I was the first visitor of the season, and the pool was onlyfilled for my last couple of days. It wasn't a problem really, butwhen I had a chance of a swim, I realised what I had been missing!
Review 60:The views, the buildings, the setting. The lovely people who run theplace, the sweet room, the sun terrace. It was a totally gorgeous placeto stay, and I want to go back with my family now.
Review 61:Beautiful views, lovely pool and very friendly staff.
